myslexia
Spoiler Zekrom Lin Route Ignore how terribly optimized my team is, but this has been my main team throughout my file, so it felt wrong to not even try to beat the elite four with them. That, and i didn't really wanna cheese my way through despite how frustrated i was getting. That, and it was really interesting trying to find movesets, since I had to change them up just about every battle. I'm really surprised I managed to make it work somehow. It was a struggle since I didn't want to get rid of move tutor or level up moves since I was saving in between battles, so it was a matter of management and sacrificing slots. Frustrating, but fun. I made some notes for myself in case I ever do a rematch, though. Having more priority moves and having optimized hidden power types and coverage on everyone would have been especially nice. Was especially a surprise when I realized I had exactly six revives left for the final Lin battle since I hadn't bothered to buy more than 30. But I'm satisfied I could even complete this overall, and it felt even more special when my last surviving Pokemon was my starter. Everyone on this team has had a sash or a z-move on them at some point. I got through Anna with the wonderful help of 4 sash holders. paiyaan8
Bit late to the party but here's the team. I made sure everyone was EV trained, but I barely glanced at the IVs. mobdro 2022 Edited January 30, 2023 by paiyaan8

GordoGuido
Finished my first full playthrough with Mono-Run Electric. (Set mode, No items) This is my team of champions: My first ever mono-run and in the game that finally got me into actually learning pokemon at a competitive level. Saul (Manectric) - Manectite Lightning Rod Timid - 252 SpA / 6 HP / 252 Spe Thunderbolt / Flamethrower / Hidden Power (Ice) / Volt Switch or Protect Ximena (Rotom-Mow) - Choice Scarf Levitate Timid - 252 SpA / 6 HP / 252 Spe Leaf Storm / Thunderbolt / Volt Switch / Hidden Power (Fire) or Dark Pulse Monica (Raichu-Alola) - Choice Specs Surge Surfer Timid - 252 SpA / 6 HP / 252 Spe Thunderbolt / Psychic / Hidden Power (Ice) / Volt Switch or Protect Mohamed (Silvally-Electric) - Electric Memory RKS System Jolly - 252 Atk / 6 HP / 252 Spe Multi Attack / Iron Head / Swords Dance / Explosion or Roar Zamudio (Golem-Alola) - Choice Band Sturdy Adamant- 252 Atk / 6 SpD / 252 HP Wild Charge or Protect / Stone Edge / Stealth Rock / Explosion Almendra (Magnezone) - Amplifield Rock Sturdy Modest - 252 HP / 252 SpA / 6 SpD Flash Cannon / Protect or Thunderbolt / Volt Switch OR Toxic / Electric Terrain Spoiler Thoughest battles in Elite 4, were Elias, and both Lin's encounters. The biggest flaw of the team is the Ground weakness which can only be 'solved' by switching in Rotom-Mow if it wasn't for him it would be unwinable imo. But the fact most of the mons have CHOICE items makes it 'simple' to switch in/out with Volt switch keeping the favorable matchups. For Elias I needed to find the correct order by making sure Dragonair was using Extreme Speed and sending Golem to match him, to force him back out. For 1st Lin was about meeting Garchomp everytime with Rotom, and using Volt Switch predicting the switch. Finally, last Lin I doubted it was possible to win it with the team I had, until I realised that if I matched Clefable with Sylvally It would use Cosmic Power to improved defense/sp. def. So I used that to set up 2 Sword Dances, and I learned TM: Roar to swap Clefable out. Had to redo several times, up until the god of RNG rewarded me with Arceus and I 2 shot him. Finished Lin's mons with Golem/Magnezone. The run is almost impossible. Don't try it.
Seel The Deal
Not my first time by any means but wanted to share this team in particular simply because funny electric rodent (no, THAT one. wait, I meant THAAAAAT one. well actually-). Anna Route, Set + noitems, PULSE Arceus was an RNG farm, Laura + Bennett was the only actually hard fight, everything else was 1st try. Spoiler Everything was named after albums. Haven't actually listened to Garage, Inc. but I love the Mercyful Fate medley, Dystopia is pretty mid but has high highs, the rest are straight bangers Garage, Inc. (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Hydro Pump - Thunder / Thunderbolt - Will-O-Wisp - Protect / Volt Switch Physical wall, not much to say that isn't blatantly obvious. Neuters any and all physical attackers that don't get out-offensed. (Album by Metallica) Mercy Falls (Pachirisu) @ Leftovers / Assault Vest Ability: Volt Absorb EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD - Nuzzle - Protect - Helping Hand - Follow Me Doubles support bot that completely memes on Laura + Bennett and gets vital paralysis off on Abra and Arceus. Sack fodder in most fights but vital when it's needed. (Album by Seventh Wonder) Dystopia (Metagross) @ Metagrossite Ability: Clear Body EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Meteor Mash - Zen Headbutt - Bullet Punch - Protect / Earthquake funny meteor mash bot go brrrrrr (Album by Megadeth) Vendetta (Weavile) @ Choice Band Ability: Pressure EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Icicle Crash - Knock Off - Ice Shard - Punishment Literally useless. Was good backup for if things went wrong but nothing really went wrong. Most it did was lead vs. Laura + Bennett and take out Whimsicott with Helping Hand boosted Ice Shard. (Album by Celesty) Stargazers (Gardevoir) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Trace EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Moonblast - Psychic - Shadow Ball - Healing Wish Hard carry, easily the best mon you can bring to E4. Moonblast tears through absolutely everything, especially Elias and Lin 2. Tracing Chlorophyll is super clutch for Laura + Bennett, has a 50/50 shot to just say "lol no" to El's Ditto, does massive work against Arceus, just an insane blend of utility and offense. Healing Wish is a nice 2nd chance but in practice Gardevoir is just better than whatever it's healing up lmao, not like you need any other move though. (Album by Aviators) Godhunter (Greninja) @ Choice Specs / Poisonium Z / Normalium Z / Darkinium Z Ability: Protean EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Hasty Nature - Ice Beam - Dark Pulse / Hyper Beam - Gunk Shot - Water Shuriken King of versatility and another amazing utility/offense mon. Protean + Z-Move is a stupid broken combo, you get a free one-shot on any given mon of your choosing. Absolutely deleted Heather's Salamence, Elias' Kangaskhan, Anna's Starmie, Lin 1's Delphox and Lin 2's Celesteela (did you know Black Hole Eclipse is a guaranteed OHKO on this? that's just fucked up.) and put in huge work on Laura + Bennett. Hymdall
I kept meaning to post my team in this thread but I ended up forgetting, dug up the old screenshot and here's the ol' Goon Squad that took down the endgame for me. Spoiler Prometheus (Gengar) @ Black Sludge Ability: Cursed Body EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Shadow Ball - Hypnosis - Sludge Bomb - Dazzling Gleam The Problem Solver. Sometimes you hit a hypnosis and you get 2 kills off of your monstrously high special attack Latte (Lopunny) @ Lopunnite Ability: Limber Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Fake Out - Return - High Jump Kick - Ice Punch The Doubles Queen. Mega Lop has always been my favorite mega, and being useful even through the endgame with blistering speed and massive power off of great unresisted Dual STAB is perfect. Horizons (Salamence) @ Flyinium Z Ability: Intimidate EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Dragon Dance - Dragon Claw - Fly - Earthquake Problem Solver 2: Why Don't You Just Disappear Edition. When problems aren't solved by Hypnosis, +1 Z-Fly tends to do the trick. Wanna see a magic trick? I'm about to make all the HP disappear. Gray (Ninetales-Alola) @ Light Clay Ability: Snow Warning EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Blizzard - Aurora Veil - Nasty Plot - Dazzling Gleam The Glue. Alolatales is up there in usage for a really, REALLY good reason. Aurora Veil almost makes the E4 too easy sometimes. Being the fastest Veiler around helps, and strong Dual STAB even off of low sp.atk is huge. Sol Badguy (Typhlosion) @ Choice Specs Ability: Flash Fire Hidden Power: Electric EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Eruption - Flamethrower - Extrasensory - Hidden Power My starter, my gamelong companion. The Nuker. Sometimes you just needed something gone. Turns out Choice Specs Eruption is still pretty good. Raining hot and juicy Napalm Death in doubles baybee Yoko (Scizor) @ Life Orb Ability: Technician Shiny: Yes EVs: 150 HP / 252 Atk / 108 Def Adamant Nature - Swords Dance - U-turn - Bullet Punch - Knock Off The Cleaner. When all else failed, Yoko did not. The savior of my fights against Anna and Lin.
Deatheye28
My team for Lin route on hard mode, set mode and dark monotype, I didn't know about Anna's route until I searched on inthernet, funny enough, Lin was the easiest one to defeat, both battles, the only problem was Elias and the holy zone, with that zone Elias manages to one shot all my dark types, glad I could find a moment for boost hydreigon and clean all his team, I would like the game somehow shows you that you completed the hard mode difficulty, because oh my god, It really is true pain play on that mode. Maestro Inga
My second Reborn playtrough's Hall of Fame! Got aevian mismagius with the aevianmissy code and idk why or how but at the starter selection it gave me the option to choose any Pokèmon I wnated, so I went with Jangmo-o. also did't expect Klinklang of all pokèmon to be my MVP, but here we are. Pachanga (Kommo-o) Ability: Bulletproof Item: Kommonium-z Moveset: Close Combat - Outrage - Clanging Scales - Protect Inganaggio (Klinklang) Ability: Clear Body Item: Wide Lens Moveset: Gear Grind - Wild Charge - Shift Gear - Screech Andromeda (A-Mismagius) Ability: Magic Bounce Item: Expert Belt Moveset: Shadow Sneak - Phantom Force - Power Whip - Nature Power Salame (Gliscor) Ability: Poison Heal Item: Toxic Orb Moveset: Earthquake - Fly - Protect - Swords Dance Maggica (Salazzle) Ability: Corrosion Item: Charcoal Moveset: Sludge Wave - Flamethrower - Toxic - Nasty Plot Cassiopea (Gardevoir) Ability: Synchronize Item: Gardevoirite Moveset: Calm MInd - Moonblast - Psychic - Focus Blast Spoiler Heather was swept by Shift Geart Klinklang, Laura and Bennet went down with some teamwork by Salazzle, Gliscor and Kommo-o. Elias was the toughest, basically everyone on the team got involved, and then Anna was surprisingly carried by Salazzle, with some help from Mismagius and Gardevoir. Lin was first defeated with mostly Gardevoir and Salazzle yet again, but the second battle was both hard as hell and very fun, as always. every member on the team did something important to help me win (except Mismagius who lost the speed tie with Lin's own Mismagius lol) and Kommo-o dealt the finishing blow to the PULSE Arceus (still haven't tried the Anna route, but for the next playtrough I certainly will)
FragsBunny
It's been more than a year since I started this topic! And today, I decided to update the status of used Pokemon. And guess what? Aegislash, the only Pokemon hitting the Uber tier, cause it was used on at least 30 teams! No other Pokemon comes close to that number. But... you can still change that!
