Raindrop Valkyrie
Thing is.....I have wanted to make a similar character for a while lol. I don't want to deal with Fairy characters though, their rules are over-complicated and there are a bajillion different kinds. (Some can kill you if you look at them lol.).(only thing is, that particular campaign already has a bard, and while I don't like to say sombody can't play something, I highly advise not stacking classes as it usually just gets the party killed lol.) Skullkin
Lol, I was mostly just kidding with you. I've never played d&d, but I have a friend who was trying super hard to get me into the school d&d club.

rustytengo
a DnD rp would be fun though i will say this its harder to pick things up useing 3.5 then 4.0 when makeing characters anyway(never played the pen and paper version of 3.5 but i have played neverwinter nights and neverwinter nights 2 so i kind of know how it goes.) but 3.5 gives you a lot more options when your doing it. it just has a lot more little math in it and is pron to people min maxing which kind of is boring if every character starts off as a level one human fighter so they can all get those three feats rights of the back.then they dual class to what they really want to be but thats only some people who do that. but to each there own play whichever version you like cant remember what the dungeon bastard said on it but it was really good. yes bards suck hehehehehehe i think aquiecence would like the drow a lot if anything always play a dwarven fighter you won't die to much and you get awesome names to. Skullkin
I've played WoW, and I hate dwarves.
rustytengo
DnD Dwarves are much better and epic trust me. and never compare DnD to WOW its like comparing fish with steak there both fine but some people prefer one over the other. (DnD is the steak by the way) Edited November 30, 2013 by rustytengo
Raindrop Valkyrie
I am typically a 2nd Edition guy, but I prefer 3.5 for getting players into the game. I also know how to handle Min/Maxers so they never really get far. Bards only actually suck in 2nd edition because they arn't a real class and are too jack of all trades. They a bit better in 3rd and in 4th. Just a tidbit for you though in closing. Drows were actually first created in the Forgotten Realms preset world, which is not only the the most popular D and D setting, it is also what the Neverwinter Knights and a lot of other media is based on lol. (thing he is getting at, is the Drow society is a lot like aquiecence's world in the rp lol. though the men are treated even worse and aren't really even tolerated lol.) (Hmm...now is not the time to say I played a Dwarf hunter in WoW is it lol?) Edited November 30, 2013 by Hukuna

Raindrop Valkyrie
Also Rusty, I require you rp a reason to get your dual class, you aren't allowed to just get it. I if I am not impressed, no beans for you. Because one does not suddenly become a Wizard, let alone a Sorcerer.
rustytengo
i am well aware of how the Drow came to be i also no that there society was not even well explained until a certain Dark Elf Ranger was created by one R.A. Salvatore. and i also know of what is happening in the Forgotten Realms right now too. Also Rusty, I require you rp a reason to get your dual class, you aren't allowed to just get it. I if I am not impressed, no beans for you. Because one does not suddenly become a Wizard, let alone a Sorcerer. that is a really good why of doing it though i am surprised that no rule nazi has tried to stop you from forcing them to do that (i don't like rule nazi's they take the fun out of things) but i will guess and say thay none of your friends are rule nazis . i have mostly played 4.0 because thats was what i could find for DnD when i wanted to learn how to play it so i guess its easier for me to under stand because that's where i started in it. though if i where to ever join one of your campaigns i would bring in my Half-orc Warlock Scrag but then you would all miss out on his epic voice. Raindrop Valkyrie
I wouldn't do it over the forum, I would set it up that way, but it would be over Skype or the ventrilo server my friend has. Only thing is Warlocks weren't a class before lol. (Also I usually don't allow the transferring of characters, usually because they have magic items that may be broken in my world. I would probably do it that if that was the case, they just couldn't use it my my world, but I wouldn't take it from them lol.)

Raindrop Valkyrie
I know some people get butthurt, why I don't usually allow it lol. and if you ever do play a game I dm, alignments don't matter to me other than being a guideline for people. I would prefer you roleplay you want so I don't hold people to thier alignments (unless they do something really Evil as a Paladin.) Or the Lawful aspect of a Monk, as they are much to disciplined to be Choatic in alignment lol.
Raindrop Valkyrie
Honestly, my favourite Characters D and D wise are my Lizardman Warrior, Ress'nok Greystone. And My crossbow wielding Dwarf warrior Pirate (that isn't a class, he is just a Pirate lol), Sinbad Thunderbrew.
rustytengo
both of those sound awesome other then Scrag who i kind of just made to be a troll because of his high charisma score and how me and my friends use charisma based skills (aka we can use them on each others characters) my favorites where my Goliath Warden Fisser who kind of just tossed around the smaller members of the party literally, and Winter the Razor tooth shifter Wizard who was basically a stoner. Raindrop Valkyrie
lol, CHarmisa works a bit differently for me as to me Charisma isn't just looks. Also I don't allow charmisa checks on players just due to player's usually not wanting their character's to things that aren't of their own volition lol.
rustytengo
yeah charisma is not looks for me either is just how they hold themselves and how they deal with other people. i only do that because its my friends and we all started DnD at the same time. if i was with other people i probably would leave it up to the DM. though most of it is just liying so that my friends characters don't know what there doing is evil or intimidate so they would back down from Scrag his is kind of a squishy even though he is a half-orc. Code: PIRULUK
And it's possible to play D&D over the internet? I was under the impression it was a tabletop game ._.
Raindrop Valkyrie
Yes it normally is, but there is a site called Roll20 that allows you to play over the internet that I use. Also was making a new character named Glicks, he is a Kobold Sorcerer, not sure if he will be an npc or a Player character of mine (might use him as both lol).
rustytengo
Kobolds are awesomely fun my friends hate me when i use then as monsters because i make them so annoying and tricky and cowardly well monsters ones anyway. one of my friends hates my Deekin voice if you played neverwinter nights and got the shadows of undertide and hordes of the underdark expansions you know who i am talking about if not he might be on youtube somewhere. what i have seen and heard DND is at its most fun at a table with a group of friends but you can play it through that site or over skype or even in form mode like here. though it makes it a bit harder. so Hukuna do you play a character and DM at the same time or do you do them separately? i tend to do them at the same time or else there would just be two party members. because i only have about three friends who will play it but our schedules are always so messed up we just play when we can even if its a completely new adventure each time. Chevaleresse
I would like to join your campaign as well, if you can deal with my rather terrible connection at times. (It should be fixed soon.) However, I'm not really experienced with 3.5. I've played a lot of 4e. Do you still have room?
Code: PIRULUK
I'll tag along if there's space. May be new, but I think I should be able to pick things up fast. I just can't help myself when there's such a brilliant opportunity for character creation, I'm addicted to making characters ><
Raindrop Valkyrie
heck ya, I am going to have to tell my friend's about this though, since this was originally going to be a game for them, but we only ended up with 3 people. We are going for Sundays as the time we will be playing, and it will be much earlier in the day due to one of my friends being from Europe. and don't worry 3.5 is similar to 4th so you should be fine. We are still in the process of setting up characters and stuff and that will most likely be the the first session. (I will need anybody who playing real names though, you don't have to tell me right here, right now. But I would like to know for the game lol.) I will need to get this set up now lol. didn't expect such a response.
Raindrop Valkyrie
Anybody other than those 2 want to play? I want to get a quick head count. cause I don't want to go over 6, and my group is three plus those 2. Which would be 5. so Basicially I am asking if one more wants to join up lol.
