(Mood swing into a more depressed mood)

"Nope I have absolutely nothing you've never seen before left, I don't even know what to do anymore. All I ever do is get into trouble anyways... I've used all my tricks, all my bombs, all my weapons, you've all seen it... Here's my bad too... I have no use for these stupid weapons anymore anyways... They just get my friends like sarcus hurt... And that's why I'm done with them. Destroy them, use them, heck even eat them I don't care what you do with them anyways..."

Jake's pokemon sat next to him as he sat down on the ground reevaluating everything he ever did to sarcus and his friends.

The time he bombed Sarcus

The 4 times he bombed Alina

The time he crushed his quiz

And every time he hid from battle...

(Flashback)

???: you're a such a useless quitter... It's all you were ever good at, quiting everything you ever tried...

(Flashback over)

"He was right about me... Quiting is all I ever was good at... And look at me now... Giving up everything I have to my own teacher without doing anything but throwing some cookies... Do whatever with me. I'm just going to die from stupidity someday anyways... I received all these weapons from someone I dare not mention when he asked me to do something I refused to do. He still gave all these things to me "in case I changed my mind" but apparently they've gotten the best of me... And all of them must be destroyed. I'm too dangerous around those weapons. They influence me to evil. Just get them out of here before I do something else wrong... And maybe my pokemon are influenced by me too... Always making mischeif and being aggressive. This is all my fault..."

Jake broke down in sadness once Emerald and Alina were gone and began to cry and talked to himself.

"I'm just a person broken in half. I am influenced to evil but that's not what I want at all... I don't know what to do anymore!"

Jake stood up and began slamming his head against the wall in rage until he bled.

"It's my fault I'm like this isn't it? I'm always hurting my friends... And getting in trouble... I'm just another person who didn't make it anywhere because I'm contradicting everything I ever do... I am just a quitter... Like he said. He was right... And now look at me..."

Blood dropped down upon his hands.

"I deserve this!"

Jake remembered part of those moments that changed him but not all of it.

???: do it! Take the weapons and you must go and finish her, she interrupts my plans for the future.

Jake: no I can't do it and I refuse to do so!

???: then here's the weapon bag kiddo, "just in case you change your Mind" and do what must be done about her...

Jake walked towards his house to sleep after remembering the moment that plagued him so

Day 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The sun rose on Paradise Island early in the morning. The few residents awake at the time basked in its warm glow, along with their Pokemon. The denizens of the forest did the same, as their day began with the dawn. However, the pleasant weather didn't last. A storm front rolled in, darkening the skies over the island. Those who worked outside looked at the skies briefly, covered their work if they had to, and continued their labor. Some work had to be done, rain or shine. Some of the wild Pokemon living in the forest fled to the deeper parts, seeking a less damp place to forage and rest. Others came out of their dens excitedly, delighted at the downpour. The masses of students at the Pokeacademy scurried to the Academy's doors, many huddling under overhanging bits of roofs. There were very few Pokemon sighted flying about; the black thunderheads rolled and raged with noise, and the occasional blinding flash of lightning arcing between clouds or fown to trees split the sound of the downpour.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarcus hurriedly made his way to the gates of the academy. There was a crowd of students around the gates, eagerly awaiting the time when they opened. Sarcus was no different. While he enjoyed the rain, he did not enjoy soaked clothing or books. His Pokemon seemed to have similar feelings. Absolution loudly complained about his drenched fur, and Ralts huddled inside his coat. You know, sometimes I feel like I need more than one of these. Blues had managed to shuffle ahead in the mass of students, a well-placed prick here and there easing his passage. Beldum had simply floated over the wall and into one of the buildings. While he waited, he looked about for Grace, hoping that she wasn't followed by Jake.

Grace came running up the path, almost dragging her dad. "HURRY UP SLOWPOKE!! Cant you get to school early enough to open the gates BEFORE all the students come?!?!?! And in this nasty weather!" she shouted at her dad, who was trying to enjoy the rain. Jeez, how can someone who has three fire types and a rock type like the rain? " Daaaadd, at this rate, youre going to get demoted."

Upon finally reaching the gates, her dad opened them with a wave of his hand. All of the students gratefully rushed in, shoving each other to get inside first. Grace however, lingered outside, trying to get her water-loving dratini to go inside, getting drenched in the process.

Jake got onto his bike and rode to the school in a small coat, he nearly forgot what he was doing after thinking about what had happened yesterday. His pokemon were running behind him, however Deino was far behind crashing into lamp posts by accident due to it being blinded by the huge lump of hair in the way of it's eyes. Sneasel was far ahead of everyone else however, dashing quickly down the path. Once Jake reached the school he noticed Sarcus was there waiting with the others and when the doors were opened by Grace's Dad he wondered if he should even go through the doors to go talk and apologize to Sarcus. He considered skipping school to avoid Sarcus's anger but decided it was either that or Emerald's wrath for being absent. So Jake ran towards the doors after tying up his bike to the rack.

He ran by Grace and her Dratini to get to Sarcus, crashing through the crowd. Deino crashed into about 15 people before he found Jake's scent. When Jake reached Sarcus he lightly tapped Sarcus's shoulder cringing as he did so.

Jake studdered in fear backing away slightly.

"I just wanted to apologize for everything I've done lately, and I'm trying to change my ways... That is if you're not going to kill me on the spot...

I've done a lot of wrong lately and I realize that now, blowing you up definently wasn't a very good idea... And apparently neither was blowing up Alina a good 4 times... I really just came to say I'm sorry and the things that happened yesterday will not happen again..."

Sarcus considered what he said. I wasn't expecting the apology. If I were in his position, I would probably try to apologize, too. Then again, that doesn't make it in any way acceptable, what he did. He extended his hand toward Jake. "Alright. But I meant what I said. One more time, and you're done. If you waste that last chance, don't expect me to help you. Now, I'm sure I can help you with Alina - that is, if she hasn't reevaluated her opinion of me." He had to at least attempt to make up for trying to hurt the kid. He couldn't let himself rampage out of control like that. Plus, he still felt some empathy with the younger Trainer.

"Thanks so much Sarcus, up till now I've been a real jerk to you and I wanted to give you a sincere apology... It's just for some reason it feels like I'm forgetting something... I just can't remember what... But besides that thank you for accepting my apology after all the mean things I've done. I'm promising to hearby attempt to change. See you later Sarcus!"

Jake sprinted towards the academy, then slowed down to turn and run back past Sarcus to go retrieve his Deino, who appeared to be chewing a lampost...

Sarcus turned in the direction of the Academy as Jake blew past him. As he turned, he noticed Grace in the background, struggling to get her Dratini to enter the building. He started to move toward her, only to nearly be run over by Jake as he ran back to retrieve his Deino. Catching his balance again, he strolled over to her, and laughed. "Do you need help with that?"

Deino had happily jumped to Jake's familiar smell and hopped into his arms, Deino smelled the air to get a feel for its surroundings. Then it began to growl and jumped out of Jake's grip, rushing towards Sarcus.

"NO DEINO STOP!!!!! HE'S A FRIEND NOT A SNACK!!!!!"

But Deino wasn't going for Sarcus, it had remembered the scent of Gallant to get revenge for the moonblast Deino was destroyed by. Deino rushed past Sarcus by accident then turned back around and jumped towards Gallant, who Deino completely missed sending him bounding into Jake's legs tripping him.

"Deino what the heck!? You need to evolve into a zwelious faster so you can finally be able to see a bit better... And maybe get a better nose..."

Jake arose to his feet embaressed by Deino.

"Hehehe... Sorry Sarcus I didn't know that would happen... I think it's because of the moonblast Gallant gave him from last time."

Sarcus rummaged around in his bag for a bit. "Ah! Here we go." He pulled out a small case from his bag and handed it to Grace. "Pick out a Pokeblock. I don't know what Dratini likes, but those things are pretty tasty, even for humans. Dratini might like the rain, but I'm actually pretty good at making those things; I used to take my Pokemon to contests back in Hoenn. There's no way Dratini can resist it."

Jake suddenly was pumped when he heard the word hoenn. He was born in that region in mossdeep city after all, it's where he heard all the tails of legendary beasts that controlled the weather, and an attack was planned there by weirdos in red suits claiming to need rocket fuel to blow up the volcano in the western part of the region, they were stopped by two big adults. One was the former champion Steven and the other was a boy in all green.

"Sarcus, have I ever told you I came here from hoenn?... Mossdeep city infact. And I know poke blocks are made at the one and only contest hall in lilycove city..."

Jake's Deino walked up to dratini and sniffed it, then it yelled loudly into the air and went back to Jake.

"Well whatever that was about..... As I was saying... Hoenn is the place to be!"

"Hehehe! Not bad Grace not bad! But just how long can you hold that slippy little rascal?"

Jake and his pokemon laughed in amusement at the thought if Grace chasing a Dratini all around town.

"Anyways we'd best get going, come on guys."

Jake walked on with Sarcus and Grace to the school, Jake's pokemon followed like usual. Except of course Deino was crashing into poles and rocks as he waddled after Jake's scent. Jake picked up Deino despite its sodden fur and carried it to the school building. It was going to be Deino and Riolu's first day at the school and Jake had no clue what they would do.

"I'm actually from Lilycove City. We lived on the edge of town, so it was pretty quiet around my house, but having access to the Master Contest Hall was great. I agree, it's a great place." He proceeded inside, team in tow. Beldum floated down from where xe had been resting and followed him. "Hmm. We've got a few minutes before class; what shall we do with our time?"

Sarcus stood, taking a moment to brush himself off and collect himself. He resisted the urge to swat at the Taillow. "At this rate, I'll be dead by the end of the week," he grumbled to himself. "Just don't let that happen again," he said to the guilty looking trainer.

"I won't happen again." I stated firmly.

"Abra"

"There you are Layle, you are the only who can keep Xane from causing mischief."

I turned the trainer I crashed Into.

"May I ask for your name?" I ask this stranger.

Jake talked with Sarcus a bit more about the Hoenn region, discussing the team aqua epidemic at lilycove and the team magma at mossdeep. Suddenly a trainer slightly older than Jake crashed right into Sarcus while yelling at a tailow!

"Yikes! You ok Sarcus?!"

Jake and his pokemon helped Sarcus up while Deino simply bit his leg and pulled... Jake then turned to the slightly older trainer in confusion.

A man walked down the path toward the entryway to the Academy. He was just under six feet tall and had a slim build. His close-cut brown hair showed off his sun-stained skin above the neckline of his orange jacket and brown leather utility sling that marked him as a Scout- a member of the branch of the Guards that frequently ventured beyond the island, and a strong Pokeperson at that. His stormy blue eyes glittered with the kind of mischievous excitement that made women gravitate to him despite his best intentions. Trotting beside him was a Sawsbuck, resplendent in its Autumn form and showing off the beautiful red-brown leaves adorning his antlers. As he approached the school, he found his way blocked by a gaggle of young Trainers. A smirk turned up the corners of his mouth as he spread his arms as if to part the students by some imaginary force. "Alrighty, kids. Let's get moving out of the doorway. After all, this is a bit of a safety code violation. You know, fire exit and all. Go, run, get to class before I report you all to Emerald for being tardy." He chuckled, patting his Sawsbuck on the neck. The Pokemon simply closed its eyes and turned up its nose at the young Trainers. "Oh, Rayleigh, they're just kids. You can't expect them to possess any sort of poise or dignity!" he commented sarcastically to his Sawsbuck. The Sawsbuck snorted and continued up the hall. The Scout watched as a young Trainer got bitten by another's Deino. He then turned to the Deino's trainer (Jake). "Hey, while Dragon-types are difficult to train, you should take a page out of that other girl's book and feed yours a snack. Deino tends to wander around when he gets hungry. He's just looking for food and since he's blind, he probably can't tell the difference between this poor young man-" he pointed to Sarcus- "and his food dish. You need to feed him before you get to school so you can avoid incidents like this. Don't let Emerald catch this happening again; she's a real tough cookie, that one..." he said casually, dazing off a bit. He shrugged and began following Rayleigh down the hallway. "Have a good day in class, you rascals!"
