Looking for Underwater Field Notes

I've looked through all of Azurine Lake, went through every underwater house multiple times, found every possible item; and yet, I have still have not found the notes. Please help, and give me very specific details of where it might could possibly be.

I had the same crisis too. Start at Apophyll Cave (the one you can get by just walking north of the Academy) and Surf southeast until you get to this mini island. The notes should be inside the cave.
