[Hoo put this orb on me, get it off]

Noctowl (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Psycho Shift
- Roost
- Heat Wave
- Psychic

Noctowl is a Pokémon that's just.. Awesome. Why? Cause Owls are awesome. Sadly, the likes of Sigilyph do Noctowl's job better than it does, but if you wanna have a cool owl on your team instead of whatever the fuck Sigilyph is, then this is what you should use.

With Huge HP and great special defense, Noctowl makes for a great special wall. Have the toxic orb poison the poor thing, only to shift it away to something else! Roost is for longevity, or.. pseudo-longevity being as you're getting toxic damage every turn, and Heat Wave and Psychic are for Steels and Poison types who cannot be poisoned.

[Heatran says lol, though.]

[zz]
[Noctowl] (M/F) @ [Leftovers]
Trait: [Keen Eye/Tinted Lens]
EVs: [248 HP/252SpDef/8 Speed]
[Nature] Calm
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Toxic/Psycho Shift
- Air Slash/Heat Wave

[With mediocre offensive stats, and defensive stats below the bar of other walls, and a weakness to the ever so common Steallth Rock, Noctowl finds iteself un a rather undesirable position. To utilize Noctowl effectively, one must rely on its utility, which is presented here. This in particular is a ResTalk strategy, as a special wall. Note that Noctowl has a measly 50 base defense, and no defense EVs are presented; thus you will be quite frail to physical attackers. In any case, you have choices to complement your ResTalk. Toxic is a great tool for wearing down opponents; and fits in nicely with the ResTalk strategy. Heat Wave is a nice pair with Toxic; hitting pesky Steel types, albeit being little against Poison types. A move that synergizes even more with ResTalk is Psycho Shift; if you hit it with Sleep Talk, you'll transfer Sleep to your opponent! Air Slash is a solid STAB move to help be more of an annoyance in combination with Psycho Shift, rather than the Toxic stalling Noctowl. Air Slash is helped by the fact that Noctowl can get the ability Tinted Lens, allowing you to get at least neutral power on most Pokemon. Of course, your Special Attack is less than stellar. Note that Heat Wave is incompatible with Tinted Lens. In summary, Toxic will generally go with Heat Wave, and Air Slash with Psycho Shift.]
