Lowering his hands to his side he spoke.

"A blade? You mean like a sword? Well why don't you make one with psychic energy if you can do that? I'm sure if you use a small enough amount I shouldn't be wounded, or at least I think so...

What's our "first concern" anyways? Alina is still just talking with that Tami girl. She's strange, not confident enough, I guess."

I just knew it.

I walk up to a group of students.

"Hey, my I join you all in this assault? I may not look like it but I'm skilled with a sword and words." I inquired.

It's time show them what I'm made of. I've my secret weapons with me.

(ultra sarcastic) "Alright! We've got a team! A happy go lucky girl, a girl who can't fist fight, my good buddy here Maximus Gluteus, (jake winked to say "I'm kiddin'"), buzzkill Sarcus, and his sword buddy here, (Referring to poke-lord) the old hag Alina, timid, but smart Lionel, and a mean old mentor. Sounds great-"

Mark swatted Jake angrily trying to make him shutup before he did start a fight.

(Mark) "can you be any more polite? You're even around women and you can't just be quiet and at least act nice for even two seconds can you?"

(Jake) "well, maybe I won't-"

Within 3 seconds Mark had beaten Jake down with ease, and once again, he lay on the ground twitching.

(Mark) "I think it's almost time. Somebody heal this moron apprentice of mine so we can go whip some tail."

Even after the encouraging words of Mark and Sarcus, it was difficult for Lionel to not completely clam up and separate himself from the others using his Parabolic Shield spell. There was another girl, Tami, that seemed timid and shy as well, but at least she had a Roserade, and would probably know how to handle a weapon. He began shivering again. Then Ms. Mime slapped him in his face. Her fists weren't that strong, so it didn't hurt, but it was enough to clear the surprised Lionel's head for approximately three seconds and reach out to him. Are you seriously just going to let all these people down? Are you going to let your friends down? Your docents? Even your Pokemon? I-I-I c-ca... You can. And I'll prove it to you. Release the others.

Lionel didn't even protest. Ms. Mime was so headstrong, sometimes it almost seemed like she was able to manipulate his thoughts. He released Tristan, Rebel and Dray, and the Mime Jr. started talking to them in Pokemonish. They seemed to understand pretty quickly and Tristan, Rebel and even Dray looked up at him. Expectantly. You won Dray's trust. You held off your own in a battle against Sarcus, one of the most talented students on the academy. You can do this. Do it for us. Your friends. Your Pokemon. Lionel took a deep breath, then spoke fast but softly. "I-I've made u-up my mind... I'll b-battle alongside you a-all... I might n-not be a big h-help in m-man to man c-combat though..."

Jake, rather surprised turned to Lionel. He hadn't thought that he'd step up to the challenge, but he'd been wrong. He stopped spinning his knife around, and walked up to him.

"Well, there you have it! Lionel does have some fight!"

He gave him a friendly pat on the shoulder.

"Now the question is... Wanna fight?"

Mark face-palmed...

Alina stared at the brawling boys for a moment, then teleported to grab both of them. "Are you going to save that for the battlefield, or would you rather die from exhaustion?" Alina growled menacingly, "Because if its the latter, youre NOT invited this time." She dropped the two, and turned to Lionel. "Here, catch." Alina tossed her remaining pokeball at him, "That's Emerald's flygon. She told me to lend it to you.

Mark took a peak at Alina for stopping them, and then decided he had to get the last word on this one.

"We've got a few sitrus berries to spare, i think we would've been fine... But at least you care, I commend you for that."

He gave her a a friendly nod, and turned back to Jake to speak.

"Hey, I think it's time I teach you one last technique before we go. It could be the last I ever teach you after all. Watch and learn... This ability requires a great deal of aura to use, but it will be helpful one day."

Mark put his hands together and began to charge his aura within him, he began to glow deep blue as his aura surged through him, and then, a large burst of short ranged energy of that color directly in front of him, and it sent Jake flying at least 3 feet.

"It requires a great deal of power usage, and some training but it's worth it. Try it yourself."

Jake places his arms together, locking hands by the fingers, and slowly but surely, began to increase his aura flow, and then quickly released it in a full power burst, exploding his own energy into himself where he stood. Mark laughed at him quite loudly, surprised that happened.

"You need to train much more. But it's nice to see you at least get the concept. Project outward more."

He thought to himself, "it's nice to know he can at least know I've taught him all I can before he went ever see me again... At least not for these people... I can't believe he developed amnesia... I'll have to complete the mission myself... Goodbye... At least for now."

Returning from his thought to find Jake staring at him, he reassured Jake with a smile.

"Ms. Alina. Do we need to move out soon? I think we're ready."

"I think we should determine some positions and strategy before we run out to battle," Sarcus suggested. "For example, my team is good at dealing a lot of damage quickly, but they don't move very fast or take a lot of punishment overall. That would mean that I could provide some direct damage support while someone on the front line distracts the enemy."

Mark looked at the quivering exploded Jake for a moment and shoved him up to Sarcus.

"Use him how you need him, he'll be fine. After he's healed a bit that is. Now to determine a strategy. They want to surprise us, so we have to do the same. We surprise them. They'd expect us to be here with the students and they would wipe us out, and probably take prisoners too. That's just logic. The question is, where are they coming from now? If we can find that out, then we might be able to handle the issue at hand, surprise them, and take out there forces as quickly as possible. I don't think a distraction should be necessary... But I have an idea.

Jake jumps out and begins ranting and making up stalling antics. They will most likely attempt to capture him, seeing as he's only one person. Our units and frontal men are secluded nearby, and we simply jump them. Jake already would have a view on the most important men, the leaders and front line. If we can destroy those within the first few minutes, then victory is ensured, they coundlt possibly win with such a small battalion left over while we still have such a large advantage. Another issue is, what if they just anticipate us, kill Jake, and move on destroying us? We need to find a way to keep Jake safe for the distraction, while still being able to legitimately sneak up on them... But how? Any ideas?"

"Hmph. Left before she would even give us any battle ideas... Sarcus, it's just our small team here. You and I should think of some ideas on how we can easily get Jake in there and destroy there lines. Shouldn't be too hard."

Mark turned his head to Tami slowly... Thinking as he did.

"And I think we just did... Alright listen. Jake and Tami obviously have good noggins. Jake makes powder bombs all the time for fun, but is an idiot for bringing them here... If Tami and Jake can assemble enough things to make a clatter, we can distract, and crush them during the confusion, while Jake and Tami can pick off their leaders if possible. Shouldn't be too hard of a fight then."

Sarcus turned to the group. "Alright, since no one else seems to want do do it, I'll appoint myself as the leader of our group, here. Can everyone repeat what their teams are? I need to know so I can come up with a strategy. My team consists of Absolution, the, well, Absol, Metang, Blues the Pawniard, Chomp the Gible, and Gallant the Gallade."

"Fine, whatever," Max replied to Sarcus's self-nomination. "I've got Tiberius, Remia, Argentia, Ignatius and Celeste. That's an Arcanine, a Mightyena, an Aron, a Combusken, and a Feebas."

Mark sighed heavily at Alina and Sarcus just ignoring his ideas and went along with it.

Jake spoke up "I'm a scout!"

Mark couldn't exactly remember what he was, it didn't matter too much anyways. The end was so close.

Jake's pokemon came out from his new pokeballs he's gotten.

"This is Demon, my Houndour. Whisper, my Sneasel, Z, my Deino. Soul, my Riolu. And I can't ever get my Zorua, Mirage, to ever stay in a ball..."

Mark grabbed his pokeballs and tossed them all. He pointed at them as he called their names.

"Sheer... My Sylveon. Desert... My Sandslash. Onyx... My... Onix" he looked at the huge creature and it roared. "And finally. Feather... My Pidove... I'm sure our pokemon will be better suited for different things."

Sonny groaned angrily as Alina teleported away. How am I supposed to protect her if she won't stay still? He began to run, quickly moving in deerlike lopes toward the docks.

Lionel stared at the Pokeball in his hand. A...a Flygon? Emerald's Flygon? W-will I be able to control another Dragon type? Then Sarcus called out to the whole group: "Can everyone repeat what their teams are? I need to know so I can come up with a strategy." "W-with me, there's Ms. M-Mime the Mime Jr., Tristan the A-Aipom, Rebel the Scraggy, D-Dray the Druddigon, and E-Emerald's Flygon..."

"I should tell what my team consists of. There's Layle, my Kadabra, Xane, my Swellow, Vain, my Glaceon, my newest addition Kin, a Misdreaveus.

Also there's my other two." I say.

(Short post, sorry.)

"Can everyone repeat what their teams are? I need to know so I can come up with a strategy."

Grace nodded as she listened. When it rolled to her turn, she replied, "Ive got Guardian the Honedge, Sakura the deaf florges, Angel the Dratini, and Char the extremely-underleveled-chimchar-that-I-will-probably-not-be-using-unless-as-a-last-resort." Grace gasped, having said the last part all in one breath. "Aannd, shouldnt we get going? Its been like 10 minutes. We can talk on the way."

Both of them recalling their pokemon, Mark nodded in agreement, and Jake smugly remarked

"Mhm. I'm bored. 5 minutes to get there and Alina is just "whoosh!" Gone. Man she can do some peevish things... Like when she chased me around with Emerald... Ugh man I'm gonna get her back for that one day. Lets move then!"

Sarcus started to walk in the direction Sonny had gone. "Let me think here. . . Max, Grace, and Mark should be out front; your Pokemon can take lots of punishment and hit back hard for the most part. Jake and ((Pokelord's character, please stop talking in first person)) will be flankers; you'll swing around to the side and hit them in the pants while they're distracted by the vanguard. Lionel, you and I'll be our rear guard. Basically, we stop anyone from coming from the sides or behind, as well as trying to provide some support from the back. I'll probably have Blues and Absolution roaming around and disrupting battles with Sucker Punch and Knock Off." He looked around. "Anyone have an issue with that?"

Mark nodded in agreement at the idea, and looked at Jake to see what he thought, he too nodded.

(Mark) "should work just fine. The only problem I see is if they take down the front line, or overtake our flank. But I'm sure that couldn't happen THAT quickly. It's time to move."

Mark told Jake "come on" by waving his finger, and they sprinted off together, planning to meet the others outside when they got there.

"Lionel, you and I'll be our rear guard. Basically, we stop anyone from coming from the sides or behind, as well as trying to provide some support from the back." Both Dray and Rebel didn't seem to happy with getting less action, but they didn't protest. Lionel, however, was relieved, and so were Ms. Mime and Tristan. Then there was the Flygon of Emerald. Lionel stared again at the Poke Ball in his hand. A...a Flygon, huh... "T-that's completely a-alright with me, S-Sarcus." Lionel replied, ignoring the glances Rebel and Dray gave him. "M-maybe Ms. Mime can h-help the team by putting up a R-Reflect or a Light S-Screen too..."

  • 2 weeks later...

"Anyone have an issue with that?"

"Nah. But I was thinking I should be in the middle; where I can hit something with a knife or blow up some stuff with magic from a distance. Maybe someone could command my pokemon while Im in the back?" Grace paused for a second. "Oh yeah, Lionel, Ive seen that flyon in action before, pretty sure it knows dragon pulse, fire blast, sandstrom, and rock slide. Not exactly an optimal moveset to be utilized on a boat, but its pretty powerful. And at least we can kick some Team Shadow a**es with it." The girl grinned, jogging to keep up with the group.

~~~
"Is the f***ing boat READY yet?" Alina growled. It took her several minutes to get there. She only teleported short distances to take her across shortcuts to get there; if she spent her magic energy too carelessly, it could pose a threat in battle.
"N-no.. Its been a long time since we've had to use these, so the engines are a bit rusty.."
Oh my arceus, Alina thought. She could already see the trainees approaching in the distance, and here she was, stranded on shore with no means of transportation. In the distance, she could also see smoke rising over the water -- that could only be the ship on fire. The island's barrier extended a kilometer around the remaining islands under their control. Teleporting that distance alone would be no problem for her, but a group was a whole different story. The girl knew her limits well; if she tried that, she'd likely be too burnt out to be much use in combat, and fighting power was what they needed badly. She could handle two or three without a problem, and with another one or two of the elites, they could easily take them all out. But even though there were only five enemies reported, it was likely that there were more that the guards didnt see, or hidden backup somewhere.
Sonny bounded down onto the beach, his breathing surprisingly normal ((hehe)) for a man who had just run such a long distance. He immediately called out Rayleigh, who appeared at his side in a flash of light. He briskly crossed the beach and made his way to Alina, looking out over the water. "If I never saw wanton destruction like this again, I don't think I'd mind at all," the scout said wistfully to Rayleigh. He shook his head slowly as he reached the preoccupied commander of the Village's defense. "This situation doesn't look nearly as bad as the last time I had to draw Necessity, though. Thank Arceus for that."
"This situation doesn't look nearly as bad as the last time I had to draw Necessity, though. Thank Arceus for that."
Alina nodded slightly in agreement, lost in thought. "I'd like to not take or lose any lives in this mess, but I'd doubt its possible. Lets hope we can get out with minimal casualties." A moment later, Lydia arrived, with nobody in tow. "What happened here? Nobody wanted to go?"
"Pretty much. Half of the people in the scouts division either didnt show up or chickened out. Looks like nobody wants to blow some stuff up."
"And you better remember that most of my team is melee, so you better not blow up my face," Alina retorted back. "And you also better not blow up the ship while there's still survivors. The ship is expendable. The people, are NOT."
Lydia only scoffed at that remark. "I know, I know. And why's you make me take the water route, when you know Im a fire user?"
"Girl, shut UP. We're both taking water routes. And dont try to hide the fact that your father just successfully bred a line of water walking ponyta. Sheesh, first lava, then air, now water, what's next, space?"
"Nope. Speed of light. In fact, he did want me to ask you if he could borrow your zebstrika." Lydia paused for a moment to call out her "special" ponyta, which appeared in a flash of light. The equine had a silvery pelt, a mane full of blue-hot fire, and metallic feathers by its ankles. "Skarmory, vaporeon, arcanine, and rapidash, or course," she said with a smirk.
Alina silenced her with a glare, her cold self returning. "The others should be arriving by now. I have a plan to get us all there, but we're going to have to run."
Mark and Jake showed up after a few minutes of sprinting, rather surprised that anybody had showed up before any of them.
(Mark) "ehem... Alina did you just say "Girl, shut up?..."
Jake and Mark came together in a huddle discussing if Alina was ok, and giggling at some points, at times slowly looking up to check if she was watching or not.
(Mark) "anyways... What's the plan this time? I'm eager to hear it."
Jake slowly pipped up from behind Mark, using him somewhat like a shield for what he was about to say.
(Jake) "me too! I just hope we don't get stuck with Alina for it... With a yapper like that and all..."
Mark raised his elbow and bopped Jake on the head considerably hard, and Jake fell over with a set of eyes as wide as bagels.
(Mark) "you just don't get "polite" do you?... Forgive him please... Any idea about what's about to happen...? And who's this? Don't believe I've seen her around."
