grasssnake485
Alina was silently grateful for the sharpedo distracting the gyarados. It gave her time to speed up even further with another agility, and then she launched an huge glowing ball of electricity at the occupied gyarados's back. It hit with a thud, but the exhausted gyarados was still not giving up. Kyle blocked Sonny's punch, but little did he know -or realize- that blocking electricity was much more difficult than blocking punches. The man gasped as he got quite a nasty shock, but aimed a kick at the scout's head after the electricity subsided. "Gyarados, dragon tail!" he called over his shoulder. The gyarados, still kicking, swung a tail glowing with draconic aura at the sharpedo. "Star!" Alina screamed as she dashed toward the gyarados. If I can shift fast enough... Her hair started turning green, and a long white skirt billowed out from her waist. //OOC: Absol: You can decide whether Alina blocks the hit in partial gardevoir form, or sharpedo takes/dodges the hit.//
Absol-lutelty awesome!
"Don't waste your time Alina! I've got a million tricks up my sleeve! Sharpedo! Now! Aqua jet directly into the ice and use crunch on its back!" The sharpedo quickly enveloped itself in an even bigger blast of water and slammed through the ice into the depths below. It only took moments for it to fly through the ice behind the gyrados like a jet and ready a flying crunch at its back. Turning to Alina with a sharp smug, "Told you, huh? Alright, Sharpedo! Finish it up, quick!"
grasssnake485
Alina skidded to a stop as the sharpedo knocked out the gyarados. "Nice work Jake," she nodded as she rounded up on the cowering man. The rest of the grunts had either fled, or escaped... somewhere. "Weeellll, it looks like we win again, Kyle," she said, her face a triumphant smirk. "And because I'm feeling nice right now, maybe I'll let you go." Tapping on her amulet, she returned to human form. "Sonny, Jake, help the others clean out. Once youre done, head back to the village. "You should know that it'd be nicer for you to kill me now than let me go," Kyle growled. "You know how the master despises failure." A look of confusion flashed across Alina's face, but moments later, it was gone again. What? Shadow was never that critical. Sure, he always had to be the best, but I never thought he'd go that far.. "Suure," Alina replied with a poisonous sweet smile. The ice suddenly disappeared, except for small chunks around her teammates and their pokemon. With a graceful leap, she jumped off her block of ice and landed on the ship's deck.
Absol-lutelty awesome!
Jake called after Alina "What's with the creepy faces and being nice all of a sudden, eh? You're freaking me out here." turning to Kyle to give him a quick nod, "Better luck next time... Just make sure I'm not there to jack your cargo." He tossed the crystal up to Alina before calling after Sonny for helping clean up the mess. But despite the whole victory, Jake began to wonder. Did he really see Mark? Was it a councidence? It couldn't be that he had betrayed, but regardless he had work to do.
grasssnake485
Alina snatched the crystal out of the air. "Thanks." She muttered, and slipped down the stairs to the second floor. A battle clearly took place here, but none of the grunts or students could be seen. She poked her head into some of the rooms, finding nothing but evidence that the inhabitants had either left in a rush or were dragged off somewhere. What happened to everyone? As far as I know there were supposed to be three families that were coming... Her thoughts were abruptly cut off as she wandered into the captain's cabin. There was blood splashed on the carpet, and a severed arm lay across the doorway. Sweeping her eyes across the mess, the captain lay in a heap at the corner of a nearby wall, clearly beaten to death by a Team Shadow member with no sense of honor.--
Absol-lutelty awesome!
Jake waited around for about 10 minutes before really deciding something wasn't right. He crawled in the hole his pokemon burned into the wall for his infiltration and began to look around. "Alina! Hey! Where'd you go?!" He peeked into different rooms with caution, wondering if she was alright, but got something much worse. He looked down in the darkened room floor. He saw a small note and picked it up. "Hey hon, thought I'd just mail a letter! This boat will join us together once again. It's been forever since I've seen you. The mail pelliper should deliver this to you, can't wait to see you! The boat should be there in around a couple days! -Ellie" He dropped the note with a blank expression and turned to the bed in the room. A dead girl. Mauled. Gone. Never to see her beloved ever again. And Jake could only stare blankly. "How. How is this humanely... Possible?..." He dropped to his knees breathing deeply. "Is... This real?... Is this what... I came to this academy for?... I didn't ask for this..." But then who had done with was evident. There were slash marks. Mark's sandslash had done this. "My god... Mark is with team shadow... But why!? why did he betray me!? Betray us all?!" He looked back at the note. It has flipped to the back. "You're a sneaky bastard so you'll see this. Jake. You have amnesia. You hit that rock. You lost it. Your mission. Your REAL. Meaning here. You were meant to kill Emerald. You said it was impossible, but the boss was a fool. Sent you with a bunch of weapons in a backpack, said it was enough. You were right. Oh, don't mind my little fiasco I made on the bed. It's no big deal right? You know it. You're intended to kill too. Might as well give you a head start... Hahaha... -Mark" Jake had no words. "Is this even real?!... Is it even... possible?..." All he could think was too call Alina, and run. For the first time in forever. A tear fell from his eyes. And he ran. "Alina! A-Alina! Where are you!?" He couldn't help it. He couldn't hold it back. All he could do. Is sit down and cry.
grasssnake485
Location: Ship, B3 floor Characters: Jake, grunt, ???, ???, ???, ??? A column of fire roared past Jake's head, burning through several layers of wall. Through the newly made hole, a young girl's scream was clearly audible. "I DON'T CARE WHO THE HELL YOU ARE, AS LONG AS I LIVE, YOU ARE NOT TOUCHING MOM!" "Hah, sorry, but just because you're good at magic, doesnt mean you'll have a higher chance of survival," a grunt sneered. "Sandslash, fury swipes. On the girl," he added, when his pokemon hesitated and attacked the girl's quilava. ~ Location: Ship, B2 floor Characters: Lionel, Sarcus, Max, Tami, Grace, Grunt x4 A storm of leaves whipped past, diverting the attention of all four grunts, dealing a crippling blow to the marshtomp. Thanks to the moment of distraction, Grace was able to slip past the pokemon, and deliver a heavy roundhouse kick to one of the grunts. Narrowly dodging several punches, she backflipped out of the way just as Tami sent a volley of magic blades flying at the grunts. Before their pokemon could retaliate, Absolution darted in and sucker punched the chatot, and darted back out as the flygon swooped in and mowed down some more poliwrath. The dust settled, and the students could now get a clearer view on the chaotic situation. Emerald's Flygon was struggling against the azumarill, the poliwrath and marshtomp were fainted on the ground, and the chatot was nowhere to be seen. All four grunts suffered minor to major injuries, and three were still conscious. ~ Location: Ship, B1 floor Characters: Alina Alina shuffled through all the empty cabins, looking for anything that may have been of importance. She could hear, or rather feel a brawl just downstairs. Now convinced that the shard in her back pocket was nothing more than a glass replica, it was pretty likely that the real shard was hidden somewhere on this ship. Sinking it with the ship was one option, but the waters around the islands weren't terribly deep and the shard may at least serve some purpose back in the village. Absol-lutelty awesome!
As Jake was calmly weeping, and when he had finally finished and realized just what Mark had done, he was determined. "I swear on my life Mark... When I find you... You traitor... I will *clenches fist in anger* get payback for this poor girl and any other of your victims! I swear... I'll avenge all of you poor people... One day, I will show Mark what I'm made of. I can't believe this whole time he was with the bad guys...I can't believe I /Was/ one of the bad guys myself... But my mind is clear. Mark will pay. My own mentor... And I must defeat him... But how... This will be a crazy hard task... But I must get vengeance for these-!" A roaring flame dashed past Jake's head leaving his speech dead in pieces on the ground and eyes as wide as donuts. He slowly turned to his Pokemon checking on them, and touching around his head to see if it was still there... "Well then wasn't Demon... Let's go check out who did that... I guess you guys could say I'm a... Hothead now huh?" All his Pokemon smirked and went with him down the hall following him as he pressed against cover. Suddenly he heard it. "Fury swipes on the girl." Jake immediately thought it was going to be Mark, having a flashback to what had happened earlier, and rushed the area in anger, coming around the corner, he saw a small girl, a sandslash, and a grunt... But it just didn't seem like Mark. (Mood swing to extremely serious) "Go, Whisper. Icy wind." The sneasel threw out a cold chill causing the sandslash to trip and slide, missing the girl just barely, with Jake approaching the grunt slowly with his hair down over his eyes and a hateful expression. "You people disgust me. I can't believe I was one of you once... Ruthless... RUTHLESS B*STARD! I should kill you... But I have boundaries unlike you." Whisper engaged the sandslash in battle, starting off with a straight fired ice beam directed right for the sandslash. Almost forgetting the girl behind him was there he spoke while pointing backwards. "You. Go. Now. I need time alone with this guy" Jake popped his knuckles and neck and got ready to attack the grunt while the Sneasel fought the Sandslash. Jake almost reached for his combat knife, but slowly let his hand off of it, and just assumed a grappling intended combat stance. "I bet you're too much a baby to throw a punch at me." He was waiting for an opportunity to grab his opponents arm and go from there.
