Hyper potions?

They're not obtainable I don't think. You can buy Strawberry Icecreams which heal 90 HP instead.

Hyper Potions used to be obtainable through Pickup but since Pickup is broken in Ep 10 you can't anymore :)

There are a few ways:

1.) Opal Ward, in front of the Grand Hall (Only when it's Sunny)

2.) A vending machine in hidden room on the roof of the museum in Spinel Town (directly opposite the exit)

3.) Top right corner of the candy shop in Obsidia (you need to give the boy any flavour of icecream first to make him move out of the way).

If you choose to buy a Vanilla Icecream you'll get a pleasant surprise...

Milks would be a better option, but he's only up to the 7th Gym :P

Doesn't quite explain how EVERYONE in the world but you has access to Hyper Potions. I found one on a rock and had a celebratory dance until Porygon sucked it up..

Chances are they've been made illegal by the Reborn government, and that everyone else, even gym leaders, are getting them from some contraband dealer that we don't know about.

explains why they're not in shops...

Wouldn't that mean buying 4 super potions could be illegal to some degree?

no, because you'd have to take four turns to restore 200hp that way, giving the opponent time to wail on you a little more and maybe even beat you; disadvantage= you. whats the point of doing that if your foe can deal more damage each turn than you can restore?

only one turn with a hyper potion, which basically sets you right back to square one in a battle; disadvantage= you, because with them not in shops, and the Pickup ability brocken in episode 10, you have no way of obtaining them, while the opponent obviously does.

so you see, no matter how you veiw it, the odds are always stacked against you.

in this game, there is no such thing as a player advantage, with the small exception of the human factor.

I was aiming more toward the idea that it's a hypothetical crime, seeing as the quantity restored is the same, just over a greater period of time.

But like you said, the odds are against us; we can't build very diverse teams without having evolutionary items, trading (despite Link Stones), & more areas to explore. However, the pokemon you can "adopt" or catch throughout the game in special events is a great touch.

The AI's still pretty smart, though. Healing the second the health bar hits yellow instead of border-lining on red

Y'all seem to be underestimating the scale of this game- there is still a very long way to go in terms of team development and available TMs, items, etc

Personally if you wanted a canon justification for why the gym leaders get nice things and full teams of good stuff, I always imagined it was because they were Reborn League officials and have everything available to them already, while you, the challenger, have to work for it. That might just be me though.

where can I get these?

I have 6 badges.

As of episode 10 there are no shops that sell them. :( However I've gotten a few over the course of the game so I know some do exist. (There's even an event where you can give a hyper potion to an injured skitty and then you can keep the skitty). If you have episode 9 or earlier still on your computer you can use a pokemon with the pickup ability (like pachirisu) to try and get hyper potions. Unfortunately pick up is broken in episode 10. :(
