Pokemon Aftermath #2a: Gardenia stands firm

"Why don't I take offense and you defense, and if we run into any trouble don't hesitate to pull out an attack," Rin replied to Josh with a smirk and then she whispers to him, "but try keeping the attention on us, I see Lupus and Jory doing something." She then turned her attention on her Drapion, "Now then Furcht, before they get close use your Acupressure!" Then Furcht puts one of its claws on a specific point of its body and then its eyes flash indicating its accuracy has risen.

[Raindrop Valkyrie]

Virizion gave up on the attack on the Drapion, turning of of it's momentum towards the massive Venosaur. It however this time used Feint to pierce it's Protect hitting the big grassy beast square in the face, at that moment the Air Slash came in, also hitting the Venosaur but it clipped the Virizion, dealing significant damage to both Pokemon, neither fell however.

"Bruiser recover with Synthesis, then hold down Virizion with Vine Whip!" Josh said to his big green partner. As Bruiser glow with a soft white light and shot out a multitude of vines, binding his opponent in place.

[Jory]

Jory put his Premier Ball in the healing machine. It let out a soft *dun dun dundundun* before going dim again. Jory removed the ball from the machine and looked at Lupus. "Hey, Lupus, quick question. Does Lobo know Toxic?"

"This is our chance Furcht, Poison Jab the Virizion!" Rin yelled as Furcht claws became the same color as the Venoshock while its claws sped towards the Virizion.

Gardenia

The Virizion knew it was done for, so it kicked the ground with a high a amount of force, spraying sparks and fire in all directions. It had used Blaze Kick, within this proximity it Knocked out Virizion and dealt terrible damage to the Venusaur. Now the Shaymin from the back not being able to see, whipped up a Hurricane and set a Multitude of winds flying straight towards them. "I choose you Torterra!" said Gardenia as she released a new Pokemon to take the Virizion's place. The Giant Turtle made the whole place rumble as it fell to the ground out of it's ball.

Lupus

"Yes he does." Lupus said, figuring what Jory was planning. "We need to strike when she least expects it. We need to wait until both her pokemon are engaged in combat with them." Lupus assessed the battlefield, hoping Josh and Rin could hold on for another attack.

[Jory]

"We should try to boost our Pokemon's stats before we engage with Gardenia. Shredder can use Swords Dance to boost his attack. I think we should both target Shaymin so that the other two can focus on Virizion," Jory said to Lupus, elaborating on his strategy. "Don't Toxic Shredder before I say to, otherwise he might get worn down too quickly. Since both of our Pokemon fight from the ground, I was thinking that maybe Shredder could fling Lobo at Shaymin and then you could hit it with a Fire Spin to immobilize it."

[Nico Nico Nii~]

"Furcht get out of the Hurricane's way!" called Rin as Furcht attempted to evade the Hurricane, only to be sweep up by it while Gardenia sends in here next Pokemon, Torterra. As the whole floor shook when Torterra landed, Rin thought Alright since it's part ground it'll probable know Earthquake, so Protecting at the right time or running is vital. After Furcht hits the floor and gets back up seeming to take some decent damage Rin commanded, "Furcht, Agility your way up to Torterra and when you get close enough Ice Fang it, then get away from there as fast as possible." Furcht then began moving quickly towards the Torterra and is now readying its attack on it.

Lupus

"I agree, we best let them engage the Torterra, and then strike. I would Nasty Plot up Lobo, but he tends to lose his cool when that happens. If you saw that last battle I had, he wasn't listening to me at all, he was fighting merely by instinct. So, if you want him to be able to do precision things, he needs to stay at his normal levels." Lupus said. "And the Toxic will come when necessary I assure you."

Gardenia

"Torterra, Earth Power in the Drapion's path." A piller of Earth suddenly sprung up between the Torterra and the Drapion. "Now, Earthquake." The building began to shake violently as the Giant Turtle Slammed it's front feet into the ground. The Shaymin still flying in the air would be immune to the attack.

[Jory]

Jory lost his balance, catching himself only inches from slamming his head into the healing machine. "By Emboar's beard, that was powerful! You and Lobo are gonna need to watch out for those. The moment her Shaymin makes a move, we begin our attack. While Shredder is boosting, you'll need to protect him."

[Nico Nico Nii~]

When the pillar appeared from the Earth Power Rin knew Furcht couldn't stop in time to avoid it, so Furcht ended up crashing into the pillar and then losing its balance from the Earthquake. Sudden Rin got an idea, and began instructing Furcht, "Furcht, climb up the pillar and attack the Torterra from the sky with a Poison Jab!" Furcht then got back on its feet and began to climb the pillar to the top, and then jumped towards the Torterra claw first with the Poison Jab hot and ready accelerating quickly towards it.

Gardenia

"Shaymin, shoot a Seed Flare, knock the Drapion out of the sky!" as Gardenia commanded, the little beast fired a green Pulsing energy towards the Drapion. The Torterra braced itself for the impact so long as the Drapion was somehow not hit.

Lupus

"I've got your back Jory, so long as that Torterra lays off the earthquakes we will be fine, but hurry up with that, I don't think Rin and Josh can hang on much longer by the looks of this." Lupus said, the urgency prominent in his voice. Lupus let Lobo loose, the Black Hound releasing Fire from his Scarlet Muzzle. He wasn't happy about his missing horn.

[Jory]

Jory nodded, then released Shredder from his Premier Ball. "Shredder, use Swords Dance!" The Zangoose nodded, crossing his arms and closing his eyes. Four blue phantasmal blades appeared around Shredder's head, a soft orange aura radiating from him as he meditated. Then, his eyes snapped open.

"Zaaaaaaan-gooose!" he cried, uncrossing his arms and readying his claws at his sides. The Zangoose looked furious after being knocked out by the Sceptile.

"Now, Shredder, use Fling on Lobo! Target Shaymin!" Shredder nodded and ran toward Lobo. He flipped over Lobo, grabbing the Dark hound as the came to the apex of the arc. When he landed, he used his momentum and his added strength to send the Houndoom flying directly at Shaymin.

Lupus

Lobo flew like an arrow straight towards the Shaymin "Lobo, use Fire Spin!" Lupus shouted. The dark hound opened his scarlet Muzzle as a scarlet flame spiraled out of it's mouth, colliding with the Shaymin. As it hit the thing it was forced to the ground in the twisting inferno. Lobo landed on his feet between the Shaymin and the Torterra. The fire had collided with the Seed Flare destroying it leaving the Drapion able to hit the Torterra squarely in it's head.

Gardenia

"That's Impossible!" yelled Gardenia as she watched what unfolded before her. Her Shaymin was now stuck in a Fire Spin and her Torterra took a nasty blow to the head. "Torterra! Earthquake again!". Once again the Torterra slammed it feet on the ground as the whole building started to shake violently. Gardenia shaked with a visible Rage angered at the party outsmarting her and their sheer numbers.

[Jory]

Jory grinned and pumped his fist as he watched his plan work. "Yes! Now, Shredder, while that Shaymin's trapped! Close in on it and use Facade!" Shredder complied, dropping to all fours and darting toward Shaymin. Suddenly, Torterra's Earthquake went out. "Shredder, take to the skies before that thing hits you!" The Zangoose jumped into the air, narrowly avoiding the fearsome quake. His momentum carried him past Lobo, and nearly to the pillar of flame surrounding Shaymin. "Lupus, now!" Jory shouted as Shredder barreled toward Shaymin, radiating an orange aura and fully committed to the attack.

Lupus

"Lobo! Now Toxic on Shredder!" the Houndoom breathed a thick black smog from it's mouth, it surrounded the Zangoose, most definitely poisoning the Pokemon.

[Jory]

Shredder flew through the Fire Spin, glowing a blindingly bright orange while his eyes began to glow red from his Toxic Boost ability. His eyes locked onto the Shaymin and he continued toward the legendary Pokemon, dropping his shoulder and launching an extremely powerful Facade attack. Jory shouted, "FINISH IT, SHREDDER! FACADE ATTACK!"

Gardenia

The Shaymin fell, it was knocked out instantly. Anger could be easily seen in Gardenia's face. "Go Venusaur, and go Tropius. " Two more big Grassy Dinosaur creatures came out into the battle field, "Tropius, Leaf Storm. Venusaur, Mega Evolve, and then Earthquake. Same for you Torterra, also use Earthquake."

Lupus

"Lobo, use Overheat on that Torterra Now!" A huge Scarlet Cone of Flames Left the Houndoom's Muzzle, followed by a billowing Cloud of Smoke, The Torterra took the full brunt of the attack, falling but still getting the Earthquake going by slamming himself to the ground hard. The twin Earthquakes shook the room extremely violently, as Ceiling lamps crashed down from above, spraying glass everywhere.

When the two Earthquakes happened and the lamps came crashing down Furcht saw Rin trying to avoid getting hit by a lamp or some glass and tried to get over there quickly, but the Earthquakes made Furcht lose its balance. And then Rin was cut deeply by a piece of glass on her right arm, and Furcht rushing now to reach Rin stopped when Rin called out to Furcht, yelling, "Don't worry about me yet, this shit is nothing compared to what we've been through. Just go to the Mega Venasaur and use your Confuse Ray on it then attack it." Now, turning back to its enemies, Furcht launched a dark purple blob at the Mega Venasaur and, to avoid getting hit and losing momentum by another Earthquake, Furcht jumped a few feet above towards the Mega Venasaur preparing its Night Slash.

Gardenia

"Venusaur, Frenzy Plant." Gardenia said, venom flowing in her words. The Venusaur shot Giant Vines towards the Drapion catching it midair and dissipating the small shadowy blob. It began to try and crush the Scorpion Pokemon. "Tropius, Growth." The flying Dinosaur suddenly shone brightly for a second, then seemed to be bigger, the strange banana like fruit on it chin especially so. Gardenia released her last Pokemon without saying a word, though it would be easily noticeable despite it's small size. A small Celebi Floated out of it's ball shiny ever so slightly in the dim room.

Lupus

Lupus looked for Lobo, unsure if he managed to stay up through the Twin Earthquakes. He saw the Hound clinging to the wall with his claws, however badly hurt even off the ground since the walls shook with almost as much force. "Lobo, Nasty Plot back to normal levels, then Inferno on those vines to free Drapion." Lobo bounded towards the vines, he let out another Scarlet Blast of flames, this one a bit out of control, the heat was probably intense for the Drapion hopefully, he would't be burned as well as the Venusaur. The Scarlet Flames licked at the VInes as they slowly died, and turned into ash.

As Furcht was caught and being crushed by the Venasaur, Rin was worried for Furcht. I know Furcht is exoskeleton is tough, but this is no ordinary Venasaur, and now there's nothing I can really do but cheer Furcht on. Just as she was about to yell to Furcht, Lupus's Lobo burned the vines down, unfortunately Furcht was also burned with it alongside the Venasaur. Damn Lobo, has to go lose its mind and hit Furcht, but at least now the Venasaur is weaken. Maybe I should try hitting it one more time close range. She then saw the little Celebi flying around, but she knew that defeating the Venasaur would have to come first. "Now Furcht, lets try that again, use your Night Slash on the Venasaur!" As tired and hurt as the Drapion was, it got back up and started picking up speed till it was a good few feet from the Venasaur's face with its Night Slash.

[Jory]

Shredder's eye gleamed, signaling the end of the Detect that had saved him from the onslaught of Gardenia's Pokemon. Jory snapped his fingers and pointed toward Gardenia's Tropius. "Hey, buddy, we've still got a heck of a lot of work to do around here before you get to celebrate. Use Quick Attack to run along the wall, then fire yourself at Tropius and use Facade!" Shredder nodded, then took off like a shot from an arrow. He ran up the wall at a shallow angle, preparing to launch himself at Tropius and glowing a furious orange.

Gardenia

"Tropuis, Whirlwind! Keep that Zangoose away!" Gardenia barked. The Flying Dino started beating it wings quickly, fanning huge amount of air towards to Zangoose to keep it from moving. The Venusaur was too exhausted to move after the Frenzy Plant. "Celebi, use Heal Bell!" she shouted to the little pokemon. The small tinkle of a bell started, echoing around the room. The burns from the Venusaur disappeared Immediately.

[Jory]

Jory winced as Shredder was thrown to the ground near the Venusaur, his attack intercepted by the powerful beating of the Tropius's wings. Shredder got up, his eyes still glowing a fierce red. "Shredder, use Facade on that Venusaur before it fully recovers!" The Zangoose nodded and roared once more, charging straight for the Venusaur and readying its powerful attack.

Gardenia

The Zangoose easily felled the Vensaur as it was still tired form the Frenzy Plant. Gardenia knew her loss was coming and quick, she lost hope and shrunk back into herself, her Last 2 pokemon were confused. They didn't know what too do. The Tropius Landed on the ground, and whipped up a tornado Of Leaves and sent it flying towards the Zangoose, while the Celebi began to prime an Earth Power underneath the Drapion.

Lupus

"Lobo, Now Flamethrower that Tropuis's Tornado!" The Scarlet Flames jetted towards the Tornado, and ate the leaves, leaving only a Black Smoke hanging in the air.
