Sunrise Posted February 10, 2014 Share Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) I am trying to level up Venusaur and Swampert, I caught them yesterday and I need to level up them, but the other 3 pokemons (Infernape, Gyarados and Magneton) are already at level49 and I really can't defeat an ice leader with Venusaur and Swampert right now so I thought... what If I fight with the other 3 seriously and them give them a common candy? The onky doubt is about the EVs loss, a thing that I really don't want to notice... Does anyone know if they low the pokemon's EVs? I'm a real perfectionist about EVs breeding. EDIT: this necessity comes even by the fact that after the seventh badge, I was thinking to low the level of Magneton to 32 and them evolve it into Magnezone, but I really want to maintain his EVs Edited February 10, 2014 by Sunrise Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Consider that Ralts has a lower base happiness than most Pokemon anyway, so this idea is not too Farfetch'd if it fainted very much. The common candy only undoes happiness gained by level such that when it raises back to the level it was lowered from, it will be the same. This isn't intended to make anyone's Pokemon dislike them; just to counter people spamming common candies and cheap levels to evolve via happiness too easily. Tried it and It does lowers the evs On what do you base this?
