Noivy
Ok so, I know what you're probably thinking. Triples? Really? Who the fuck does triples on PO. The answer; not as many as I would prefer. No, this is my actual XY Ingame team. It's gonna be different and I don't care what you hard core PO guys think. This team has served me VERY well in XY Wifi Triples, and has climbed up to a 26 win streak on random matchups. Win rate wise, and yes I do keep track of this, it's standing at 63.2% over 79 battles. Fun. and now you're probably thinking "Noivy, what the fuck is with this terrible team line up you big noob?!?!?!?!?!" I silence thee, for you are stepping into the realm of my Triple Entente! A team dedicated to fighting Triples, and ONLY triples! And here we go in detail! *note, some of my pokemon have moves which they should have got back in BW2 with their move tutors. Fuck my luck. These moves are followed by their actual moves in my game in parenthesis.) @ Leftovers Trait: Overgrow EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Light Screen - Reflect - Leaf Blade - Leech Seed (Coil in game) Serperior is ALWAYS one of my leads, on either the LEFT or RIGHT slot. It's sole purpose is to set up dual screens with it's impressive 180+ speed. Also Coil or Leech-Seed depending on what level of mean I feel like being. Leaf Blade for a STAB+High Crit option for a quick and easy kill on a foe with low health. A really stubborn Serp. It works hand-in-hand with... @ Manectite Trait: Static (Intimidate [Mega]) EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Volt Switch - Flamethrower - Protect - Signal Beam (Thunderbolt in-game) YEP! I ACTUALLY USE THIS! DEAL WITH IT. I have to give this poor misunderstood mega some love, and Triple battles are the perfect way to do it! This is ALWAYS the CENTER lead of my team. Why? INTIMIDATE! Yay! Lower ALL the foes attack! How does this work with Serp? Well, you can either pull a Light Screen + Intimidate and just have all around support, or you can do Reflect + Intimidate to hear physical attackers weep in a corner in fetal position. The first turn is either 1: Protect, or 2: Volt Switch. This thing can make an appearance up to TWICE in a turn, depending on how my cards get played. Pulling two intimidates in a single turn is a possible combination with Talonflame and Cobalion. It is vital that I keep this alive, as this is my trump card from turn one. --------- I am not a scumbag I have replaced Talonflame with something much more original and will edit it later when I get the chance. --------- @Choice Specs (Life Orb in-game) EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Trick (Nasty Plot in-game) - Grass Knot - Night Daze - Flamethrower Zoroark is the one pokemon I really don't have much... well I feel like it's honestly a waste of a slot on this team. It's got great speed, and the Illusion game is fun to play when luring opponents into using a move in hopes of it being super effective, also hits decently hard, but I honestly think I could have a better slot here. Constructive input on this matter will be appreciated. Zoroark is often switch fodder. A role I do not like to resort to, but it happens annoyingly often for my liking. @Assault Vest EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Sacred Sword - Iron Head - Volt Switch - Bounce (Zen Headbutt in-game) Defenses are usually covered by the Dual screens, and this allows Cobalion to don an assault Vest and safely employ a full set of offensive moves! With the Assault Vest and Light Screen, Cobalion can easily tank quite a few super effective special moves thrown at it, and as a result, can deal out appropriate punishment. Good Move coverage; Sacred Sword for breaking through stubborn defensive walls, Iron Head STAB for flinch hax, Bounce(Zen Headbutt) for added coverage, and finally Volt Switch for a possible two-intimidate per turn combo with Manetric. @Focus Sash EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Poison Jab - Earthquake - Dragon Claw - Dragon Dance My universal kill every thing Haxorus set. One dance and it's time to CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKER, which is easy and safe with the screens from Serperior. Nothing really required to explain. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to see this team in action? I have some replays uploaded on the Pokemon XY Battle Replay server. To watch them, connect to the internet on your 3DS, open the Battle Replay thing and there should be a blue page after scrolling left a few times depending on how many replays you save. There's a search tab. Input codes into it. MY CURRENT UPLOADED REPLAYS FEATURING THIS TEAM: ECMW-WWWW-WWW5-KPZ3 - An opponent using Trick Room that made for a fun, although annoyingly long battle. ECMW-WWWW-WWW5-KPZ8 - I think this guy was trying to pull a physical hyper offensive on me. lol intimidate. *typo fixed Edited May 20, 2014 by Noivy
Tenshine
Nice team, and seems well thought out too, not that I do many triple battles. And just letting you know, you made a typo with Talonflame's EVs.
