Go on, tell me why you think a Ferrothorn named Tribulus doesn't make sense. For those unaware, 'tribulus' is Latin for a caltrop (or spike, the sharp things that are used in the move 'spikes') and is also the scientific name of a genus of thorny desert plants. Anyway, that's less creative, and less apt, than calling a Sceptile 'Jade' or calling an Onix 'Onyx', since agates are not necessarily purple or blue, like Tentacruel. Or if you meant to draw a comparison other than that of colour, I still fail to see what a lump of coloured rock has anything to do with a jellyfish. Since we seem to be on about that sort of thing, I may as well call my Kingdra as 'Queendra' since it doesn't like gender stereotypes.
