Developers Voctrode Posted October 8, 2011 Developers Share Posted October 8, 2011 [Troll Mime <3] Mr. Mime (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Filter EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Teeter Dance - Thunder Wave - Substitute - Baton Pass Ikaru can tell you how much I loved this set in Generation 4. Its usefulness as a lead nowadays may be a BIT less, but I'm not sure, I haven't actually used it. However, Parafusion is never something to laugh at, and as a lead, with stealth rocks errywhere, it can usually at least get one thing paralyzed [Or confused if their lead ends up being ground, which with Sandstorm errywhere >_>] After setting up parafusion if possible, The main point it to make them hit themselves, or hit nothing at all as you attempt to pass a substitute to a fresh Pokémon, waiting to set up or troll further. [Yes, it's Female on purpose~]
Neo
THIS IS A GEN 1 SET. DO NOT ASK ABOUT ITEMS OR EVS! Mr. Mime (M) @ (No Item) - Reflect - Light Screen - Substitute - Psychic
his is a pseudo-wall variant of Electabuzz. Dual screens make sure you take half damage from everything, and since Gen 1 was broken as hell they'll last for the entire battle. Once the screens are up, sub and begin to sweep. It'll be pretty hard to stop Ebuzz once he has some momentum going. The damage this set can do due to the fact that unless the opponent is using Amnesia, T-bolt is going to do some sizable damage against everyone. (Well except Chansey)
Replace "Electabuzz" and "T-bolt" with "Mr. Mime" and "Psychic"
Bullet
[Nasty Plot] [Mr. Mime] (M/F) @ [Life Orb] Trait: [Filter] EVs: [252 SpAtk/252 Speed/4 HP] [Nature] Timid - Nasty Plot - Thunderbolt - Ice Beam - Psychic [Mr. Mime isn't the most exciting Psychic type. However, in lower tier play, he can get the job done. In this simple sweeper set, Nasty Plot augments his respectable 100 SpAtk base stat, while Timid is used to make the most of his 90 base speed. In terms of offensive moves, BoltBeam is used to provide great neutral and SE coverage, and the STAB Psychic is a no brainer. However, he has plenty of other viable moves. Shadow Ball is a decent move to hit enemy Psychic types, and Ghost types. Charge Beam can be an interesting substitute for Thunderbolt, in which case you'd want to use Technician as your ability. Hidden Power Fire and Fighting are both also possible alternatives, setting them to 60 power and using technician will allow either to be quite powerful. Finally, Focus Blast is actually a very good option, if it had better accuracy it would probably be part of the set. But don't let that scare you from using it.]
