Lord Shuckle
I'm sorry for the under informative title but here is a clarification of what I meant: Give two Pokemon (preferably obscure or underused Pokemon) that while on the field at the same time work together/complete each other/help each other/totally, utterly crush souls together. I will start us us off with the most perfect team imaginable: Slaking and Shuckle Slaking with Assault Vest Ability: Truant (The worst best and most helpful ability ever made) Adamant Nature (For through the roof attack and also f*** your jolly Slaking Smogon) EV spread: 252 Att / 252 Spd / 4 Hp ( You know 'cause +1 Hp makes that difference) -Fire Punch -Night Slash -Earthquake -Return Shuckle with Red Card (??? suggestions) Ability: Not really important (again... suggestions) Relaxed or Sassy Nature (Nature is up to you since Shuckle won't be used to attack in the first couple of turns and just needs to soak up damage) EV Spread: 252 Hp / 128 Def / 128 SDef (Eating up hits for days) -Gyro Ball -Power Split -Gastro Acid -Safeguard Before you scratch your head and laugh at my stupidity let me walk you through a battle: Start by sending out both Slaking and Shuckle (well no shit) At this point in time your opponent will: a) Piss themselves from laughter Be completely f***ing confused c) Be ready to annihilate your scrub ass d) All of the above (By the way: answer is d, it's always d) First Turn: F*** shit up with Slacking and use Gastro Acid to suppress Truant (Yeah! No more wasted turns) Second Turn: F*** shit up with Slacking and use Safeguard to prevent any pesky status problems Third Turn: F*** shit up with Slacking (Anyone else notice the recurring theme?) use Power Split or Gastro Acid to cripple enemies then (if you used power split) proceed to slay everything with gyro ball. Rinse and Repeat Until finally, Win!!!! (or, you know, lose) Comments are appreciated and please feel free to submit your own awesome teams. Have Fun! Kamina
interesting idea but i think it would take to long to set up. I have the good ol Terrakion sweep double set. Pretty much Weavile (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Pressure EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Beat Up - Ice Punch - Night Slash - Low Sweep use beat up on Terrakion with justified at the start of battle and with party of 6 pokemon it should make terrakion maximizes its attack while take almost no damage. After that you can beat up another pokemon if your still alive somehow in the first round. since you are scarfed you should out speed scarf terrakion and most likely opponents pokemon as well. not really that good in VGC since most people run fake out but if you are just facing random friend who has no idea how to doubles should work. Terrakion @ Choice Scarf Trait: Justified EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Rock Slide - Close Combat - Earthquake - Poison Jab Just rocks slide after you get to plus 6 and anything that doesn't resist will automatically die (assuming it hits all the time) and those that resist will take a lot of damage and maybe taken out by weiviles beat up. Shadow Walker
I'm not much for competitive battling but this is a tactic I've been using (and it works most of the time). Just use attacks that hit both of your opponents such as rock slide, heat wave and blizzard and as for moves that hit your ally as well like surf, sludge wave and earthquake, just make sure it doesn't affect it very much (the combination I like to use is earthquake while my while my other pokemon is a flying type) and suprisingly I've been winning majority of my online battles with just this. Sylvan Nephilim
This is the Greatest Double Battling of All Time Delcatty+Gengar+Gothitelle+Haunter Speaking of Delcatty, Delcatty learns Simple Beam. Simple Beam can allow a Pokemon with Tail Glow or Cotton Guard to reach +6 Special Attack or Defence in one turn. Calvius
What about Regigigas and Shuckle? Regigigas @ Assault Vest Trait: Slow Start EVs: 252 Atk / 200 HP / 52 Spe Adamant Nature (+ Atk, - SpA) - Drain Punch - Ice Punch - Zen Headbutt - Knock-Off Shuckle @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD / 4 HP Impish Nature (+Def, - SpA) - Sticky Web - Gastro Acid - Guard Split - Stealth Rock / Toxic Basically, you supress Regigigas' ability first turn. Next turn, while hitting hard with Regigigas, use Guard Split, which makes the Regi really bulky, especially with Assault Vest. He himself can regain health by using Drain Punch, otherwise he just deals massive damage. Shuckle is now there for trolling and will probably die soon because of the weakend Def.
