Arkhi
The Gardevoir was not just physically powerful, she was mentally as well. Or however she was able to tell he was lying. Probably because she's telepathic. "God damn..." Gale looked down, shaking his head. "Alright, fine. You win, Lily. You kicked my ass. If I was able to direct that toward whoever caused this mess- or just people who wish to fight- it would make me a better trainer. And you a better fighter. Capiche?"This Gardevoir seemed to enjoy fighting. He would appeal to her with a common desire. "I actually do need some protection, if you're looking for a fight. Groups of Pokemon have come here over the last two nights I've been here. They seem to dislike me. So, if I stay here, you could get a fight. assuming that's what you'd like." DarkLight
Nivia looked back at Theo as he hesitated in at the entrance of his home. The clocks, the drawers, the reservoir, the food... Nivia can tell that the little Pokemon really put a lot of effort and time into this cozy home. It is no wonder to the Dewgong that he is saddened by the departure. After all, there is no place safer than what we each call home. Nivia went over and put a front flipper over Theo's shoulder, trying to soothe the Pancham. Then, as she looked back into Theo's home, she came up with an idea. "Dear Theodore, I can tell that you have put a lot of time and effort into this home. It would sadden me if we ever came back and find this place in ruins. How about this? We can move a few fallen tree trunks or something to hide the entrance to avoid detection by the neighboring Pokemon. I doubt any human will fit into this small of an entrance, so we don't need to worry about human messing it up. Since we did just get some much needed rest, we can put that energy into good use! The traveling can wait; protecting something important to you always comes first! How about it?" With that, Nivia began pushing herself towards a fallen tree trunk lying nearby. Then, she backed herself up and headbutted the said tree trunk into the direction of Theo's home. It landed next to Theo, just inches away from his face. "Oops, that was close." Nivia chuckled. Chevaleresse
Not sure how she'll react to that, but she does seem to like fighting. He said his name was Gale? "It'd be nice if you came along with us. All I've got is my mind to defend myself, and these woods aren't particularly friendly." She thought for a moment. "Could you do me a quick favor? Tell him my name is Amarantha, please. I don't really have a way to tell him myself." ------------------------------------------------------------- In the woods near Theo and Nivia, a mysterious sound is heard. It sounds like wind howling, but with an unnatural sound to it. It's too localized, and doesn't rustle the trees like wind normally would. Those nearby almost feel as if they are being watched. ------------------------------------------------------------- Edited March 19, 2014 by KingMurdoc
Flux
Blaze stopped walking in order to rest and gather his surroundings. He had decided to travel through the woods rather than near the shoreline -- he felt too open and vulnerable there. The sun was setting; he'd need to find a place to sleep soon. He looked down at his armband with the strange stones embedded in it. He had no idea what they were for; his trainer had given it to him one day during training and told him it would help him become stronger. Blaze had found that surprising considering how rarely they battled; still, he had liked the look of it, and he trusted his trainer's judgment. As he held his stubby leg in front of him, his eyes were drawn to the engraving on the armband. "Blaze". That was what his trainer had named him on the day they had begun their journey together. He recognized his trainer's handwriting in the engraving and felt a pang of longing. Before Blaze could think any more about his trainer, a strange noise filled the woods around him. It almost sounded like the movement of the wind, but there was no breeze. The sound seemed to surround him, and he stood up abruptly, flames shooting out of his back. The now-illuminated woods showed no sign of any threat. Blaze wondered if perhaps he was just paranoid after all the days he spent avoid those giant creatures that walked this woods when he first arrived. He cut off his flames and decided to get moving again and look for somewhere to rest. Still, he couldn't help but feel that he was being watched... Nico Nico Nii~
As the Bidoof asked for some Berries Yuki thought to herself about what she should do, Well I probable have enough to feed myself for a few days so maybe a Oran Berry I got from the Trevenant, but wait why does he know about my Berries? Did he already take some, no then he'd have had no reason to talk to me. So I guess I can check my Berries first and see of any are missing, and if some are missing I can just say I don't have enough to share. Just as she was about to answer, the Bidoof said, "Ow. N-not again..." and then fainted. "Oh, um, are you alright?" Of course naturally there was no reply from the Bidoof. Oh hey I can just get away right now and take all the Berries. She then dug up her Berries and checked to see if all the Berries were there, which they were. So he didn't steal any of my Berries, I guess he was okay. Maybe I should take care of him until he wakes up. When she finished her thought she dragged the Bidoof to the rock she was sleeping on and then looked at her Berries and took two Oran Berries and left them near the Bidoof. "Maybe I should go take more Berries from the Trevenants to make up for the lost Berries her, and then move my food somewhere else and leave some trap or something there." She then moved the rest of her Berries and meat to another small hole, covered the hole with another rock, then laid some Spikes around the rock. She then wandered into the forest to try and find the Trevenant's hideout. "Maybe when they see me they'll give me whatever I want to leave them, teehee~"
Code: PIRULUK
Lily considered for a moment. On the one hand, she was amused that the human,Gale, entertained the thought of using her as a guard. She may live for the battle, but there was hardly any honour in trouncing weaker, unorganized Pokemon like the kind which likely attempted to attack him. On the other hand, the togepi was asking for help. And the togepi was too cute for words. She struggled with this dilemma, weighing her personal values against the request of a cute girl... She eventually gave in to the cuteness. "Gale. I accept your request. I will guard you. However, know that I do this not for you, but for little Amarantha. Ojama Yellow
As Sark regained conciousness, he realised he laid on top of the rock the Froslass was lying on. As he was wondering how he got there, he noticed that the Froslass wasn't there and left him some Berries. "Hm... This time, I got too dependant of another Pokémon... However, I have my honor, and I can't leave her...without repaying her." As he was eating a Berry, he waited for the Froslass to return.
Raindrop Valkyrie
"Aye indeed Miss Nivia, I will help you, luckily, even as a little Pancham, I am still pretty strong." As he said this he went over to a log and grabbed it with his small hands. He then began spinning it around and around, he had used Circle Throw. The log landed on top of the other with a hearty smack, He kept doing this until eventually the hole was mostly sealed. "There, that should be good" He said as he opened the Brass Pocketwatch around his neck. "Hmmm...didn't take too long either." he said as he plucked a small leaf from a nearby log, and preceded to place it in his mouth. Then all of a sudden a strange wind started to howl, Theo didn't feel like it was natural. This wind felt like it was sinking into his mind, ever so slightly. It was uncoftable and sent shivers down the little bear's spine. "Lady Nivia? Did you hear and feel that too? and if so what was it?" He asked staring at the Dewgong, quite wide-eyed. DarkLight
As soon as Theo finished his remark, Nivia also felt the strange sensation. "So much for admiring our handywork," Nivia thought. The Dewgong felt as if she was being watched by someone, or something, and that thing did not seem friendly. She immediately got into her battle stance and looked behind her. "From my experience, it doesn't feel like an Ice type. Ice type moves only make you feel cold, and I'm immune to it. But since I am feeling it too..." She turned to Theo. "Be on your guard and watch my back. I have a feeling that it might be those trees you have mentioned before." Then, in a lower voice, she whispered, "We need to get to the river as soon as possible. They will not be able to catch us while we go downstream. I'll try to talk to them while we move." Nivia cleared her throat as she started inching towards the river. "Good afternoon, whomever you are. I do hope we have not disturbed you, we meant no harm. If you do not mind, would you please address us formally so that we can have a friendly conversation?" Raindrop Valkyrie
As Nivia finished her statement a group of Trevenant came running around the corner. However they didn't even notice the two, they were spooked of something. They seemed to be afraid, and didn't even acknowledge the 2 as they sprinted past. Theo looked at Nivia, he was concerned, if the Trevenant were spooked it was nothing ordinary that made that wind. "We need to be out of here Lady Nivia, I suggest we get to the river now!" Theo said as he started to move his little legs in that direction, he hoped Nivia would follow him, since he didn't believe they could take on whatever this force was. Ojama Yellow
As Sark gulped down his first Berry, he felt...something. A cold wind, but nothing like the winds that raged in his homeland. This wind felt...evil. He heard the screams of Trevenant deep in the forest. Whatever that wind was, if it was able to make a whole horde of Trevenant fear it, it must be really powerful. Sark shuddered. "K-keep yourself together, Sark... It's just the wind..." But deep in his heart, he was hoping the Froslass would return soon. Arkhi
"I do this not for you, but for little Amarantha," Gardevoir said. The only other living thing nearby would have been Togepi, so that must have been her name."Amarantha, huh? Nice to finally know your name," Gale smiled, his head cocked slightly with a sly grin.Gale turned to Gardevoir. "It seems that we have come to a consensus. She and I can take refuge inside. If you really need to come in, then fine. There are few berries inside. You can have only 4. Any more and I'll have to shut the door on you."Another wind blew. Perhaps a little stronger than the others, but it was nothing Gale paid attention to. The tree Pokemon posed a threat to his safety. That came second, only after pride."Well then. Amarantha, you need any sleep? Because I am deprived." He bent down, offering his palm to her.
Code: PIRULUK
Gardevoir sat cross-legged at the door of the building in a meditative stance. Closing her eyes, she surrounded herself in a protective barrier of psychic energy, then cast her consciousness outwards. As she searched the surrounding area, she noticed an undercurrent of fear permeating the area. When she felt the strange wind, through her barrier, her marrow chilled. This wind was unnatural. Immediately she was filled with fear. Then anticipation. Anticipation of a strong opponent. She broadcasted a single message. "Well then. I know you're out there. Let's dance." Nico Nico Nii~
As Yuki was heading towards the Trevenant's hideout she noticed that they weren't around. "Huh, where did they go?" She then notices a chilling breeze, and also feels another presence near her. "Maybe I should just take this opportunity to get some Berries and get outta here, the feeling here is really eery." She then hastily got a few more Berries from the Trevenant's Berry sash and rushed a bit to get away from there. When she was near the river where the Bidoof was, she saw that the Bidoof regain conscious, and the feeling where she just was is present here as well. She then went up to the Bidoof, hiding the Berries behind her, and said to the Bidoof in a calm voice, trying to hide her fear, "Are you alright, you fainted for no reason back there and I left you two Berries before leaving, were they good?" Jory
Perseus ran across a field, feeling the pecha-scented wind caress his fur as he sprinted toward what appeared to be an impossibly large basket of fresh Berries. He approached it, getting closer and closer to the feast of a lifetime. Suddenly, a dark wind came rolling over the hills, its eerie indigo clouds blanketing the once-proud mountain of food. Perseus turned and tried to run, only to find that his legs had turned into big pink PokeBlocks! The tsunami of clouds caught up with him, lifting him off of his feet and away from the food. The Slakoth sat up, a cold sweat dripping down his forehead and a chill running down his spine as the evil wind passed through the cracks in the rock. Perseus poked his head out of the crevasse and inhaled deeply through his nose. He smelled something that he had never smelled before. It was not a smell radiating warmth and welcome, but the bitter, dry odor of a disaster that has yet to unfold. After looking around, Perseus had surmised that the girl, Jessica, had either abandoned him or gone to find food. Perseus was fine with that; for some reason, though, he was finding himself just a little bit worried about the girl. So, he decided his best course of action was to wait for her to return and then get somewhere safe. The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife, and Perseus didn't want to be anywhere near where it broke.
Nova
Jessica slowly wandered forward through the woods, constantly on the lookout. A cold wind quickly passed... Jessica was chilled, and wondered where the wind came from. The forest was not a very windy place, so it must have been caused by something, or someone... Another breeze passed, even colder than before... "I'm sure now, this is something supernatural. I'd best get moving." She started walking faster. Her heart started beating faster, too. Some sweat dripped down, even though it was cold as the night. Something was approaching... Jessica heard it first. Then, she could see it. A horde of Trevenant stormed away, seemingly fleeing for something. Maybe it was because of the winds. Maybe it was because of something else. Trevenant were not normally ones to flee. This was probably a sign for her to flee too. Jessica turned around and started going back...
Ojama Yellow
Sark was relieved when the Froslass returned. In his whole life, all the travels he did on his own, he had never been this scared before. "Are you alright, you fainted for no reason back there and I left you two Berries before leaving, were they good?" The Froslass asked. Sark could swear he heard fear in her voice. "Yes, thank you. I battled a Trevenant earlier, and lost miserably. Thank you for leaving those Berries." Sark quietly paused. Should I tell this Pokémon my name? Maybe it's safer to do that...I don't like teaming up, but that thing, that wind... I think there may be more safety in numbers. "By the way, my name's Sark. As you may have seen already, I'm a Bidoof. So... I don't think I caught your name yet?"
Chevaleresse
The Togepi yawned and rubbed her eyes. "Who are you talking to?" she asked Lily. She was a bit tired; today had been a fairly eventful day, and she was pretty sure she was going to die at several points during it. She couldn't just sleep, though, especially since a much more powerful Pokemon was concerned about a threat nearby.
Code: PIRULUK
"Hey, Amarantha. Nobody in particular. Just...you know that wind a while back? It definitely wasn't natural. Someone created it. Chevaleresse
Amarantha blushed a bit at the Gardevoir's compliment and subsequent hug. "Eh, thank you." I like her. She's a bit unconventional, but that isn't a bad thing. Her eyes fluttered as she attempted to stay awake. "I really am quite tired." After she spoke, her eyes drooped shut again, and stayed that way. Edited March 22, 2014 by King Murdoc
Code: PIRULUK
Lily stroked the head of the nestling Togepi. Such cuteness was hard to come by, especially in the dark, bleak, grey world into which she had been thrust. She felt an unexplainable urge to keep the little pokemon safe and protected. At that moment, a low hum entered the sphere of her psyche. Clamping down on the intrusion, she stopped it from probing deep. As she prepared to trace it back to its source, the psychic link abruptly shut off. A psychic intruder. Lily hummed in anticipation.
Arkhi
Gale's eyes opened. He hadn't been asleep for too long. If time still meant anything, anyway. Groggy with sleep, he managed to pull himself up, wearing only his dark grey shirt and pants. He used his blue overcoat as a blanket, but it didn't keep him as warm as he'd prefer. He sighed, pulling it on, and tying his shoes. He walked outside to check on Amarantha and Lily. He opened up the door and peered out. It was quite dark out, and he had trouble seeing. However, the Gardevoir's robe seemed to glow in the moonlight. "Hey-o," he whispered. Gale walked over to the two. "How's the night life treating you two?" DarkLight
Nivia was stunned as the Trevenant and other Pokemon quickly fled right past her. "If it is not the Trevenant that is causing this, then what is?" she thought. Then, a sudden, frightful chill swept through her. It was nothing like anything she has experienced before. Not even facing a grass type has caused her to panic this much in a battle. "This is not good. No wonder everyone is fleeing." "We need to be out of here Lady Nivia, I suggest we get to the river now!" As Theo ran towards the river, Nivia began flopping after her, but quickly realizing that she is not going to make too much progress. "Ugh, I knew I should have waited in the river..." Nivia said to herself. "Now what can I do so that I can catch up?" As she thought, Nivia saw a small line of Taillow flying in a straight line in the sky; she remembered an old trick her human told her to use in a contest to make beautiful sculptures with her Ice Beam. It was also a way for Nivia to get out of the line of attacks easily on land. "Well, it is worth a shot." Quickly, Nivia concentrated on forming an Ice Beam from her mouth. When the glowing, light-blue hue formed into a huge ball, the Dewgong directed towards the ground in front of her and directed it towards the river, making a straight path towards the river. As soon as it was close enough to the water, Nivia released her concentration and slid on the icy path, calling out to Theo as she slid past him. "Hurry! Slide on the path and hop on my back!" As you may have seen already, I'm a Bidoof. So... I don't think I caught your name yet?" Yuki, for a bit hesitated to give an answer to some strange Pokemon she has just met, but as the wind grew colder she knew something was coming, towards them she doesn't know, but maybe Sark will be helpful, even if it means it becoming a decoy for her to escape. Ojama Yellow
Just became a Froslass not too long ago? She must mean she just evolved from Snorunt. Or maybe... No. That's impossible. That can't happen. Anyways, there are more important things right now. "Say Sark, have you noticed this area being... colder than what it was before?" Yuki asked. "Colder? Yes...except it's not natural. I come from a very cold place, and I know exactly which winds are natural and which are not. This wind that made everything colder...it's almost like it is alive and watching us. It's too dangerous to stay in one place. I am not the kind of Pokémon that gets scared easily, but this sends shivers up my spine. We have to find what is causing this wind, and stop it. Otherwise, we, and with us everyone else in this forest, and maybe even the world, may be in danger." Sark said. Now there is no turning back. I have to work together with this Pokémon. "I suggest we should come up with a plan. Maybe we should leave for the mount-" Then Sark realised that Yuki may not know what he was talking about. "Look, there was a mountain, and there was a gap in time and space. After that gap disappeared, the wind appeared. So I can't help to think that those two events are connected. So my idea is: travel to the mountain and see what went on there. What do you think?" Edited March 22, 2014 by Bibarel
