How useful are terrain effects for you?

As in toxic spikes, stealth rocks, spikes, grassy terrain, etc.

I personally find toxic spikes the best to use unless you're against steel/poison/flying, etc. Grassy terrain I only find useful for grass pokes, and stealth rocks only useful for those special kind of pokemon like Charizard.

Spikes tend to be very weak for me.

In Reborn, the early Toxic Spikes that you get from Trubbish were a godsend for me.

In competitive play though, I don't consider anything but Stealth Rocks and Sticky Web now because of the new defog, unless I'm running a Defiant user.

i like stealth rock...

and i avoid using toxic spikes because if i can only pull one layer is worse than not pulling anything D: if they're poisoned i can't toxic them, i can't paralyze them, i can't burn them >.> it's still residual damage, but it prevents you from doing much more

Toxic spikes + acid spray made trubbish the best supporter in reborn. other then that stealth rocks is pretty handy for chryoselia town and little bits here and there. Spikes are not worth it because the AI's don't switch enough.

should consider renaming topic "how useful are entry hazards and field moves for you" so people don't get confused about a certain innovative thing the Ame is putting in for episode 11.
