Raindrop Valkyrie
Hello everybody, and welcome to my first Reborn Team RMT (and first RMT for that matter.) I am not the best at creating teams so all the advice I can get is very useful to me. I try not to think to hard when I make a team (otherwise it will never get done). So I appreciate any advice you guys have for me. At A Glance Tried to have a bit of Flexibility, with some bulk and heavy hitters. Greninja and Talon are quick and can get off some heavy hits quick. While the others are bulky and slower, good for trick room. Talon still works under the trick room due to priority, so only really Greninja is crippled by it. Most of the items and stuff are placeholders, I will probably change those alot depending on the leader I am facing. Arthur, King of Old. @ Leftovers Trait: Stance Change EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Shadow Ball - Flash Cannon - King's Shield - Shadow Sneak Aegislash is a very flexible mon, can be very bulky one turn and then deal crap loads f damage the next. I decided to go for a Special attacking set since it was more suited to the amount of Physical attackers I already had. Shadow Ball and Flash Cannon can deal high damage to a single target. Shadow Sneak is for Stab Priority, and gives Aegi a way to outspeed when not under Trick Room. It is also still good under Trick Room as well. Shiraha, Shadow of the Night @ Life Orb Trait: Protean EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Surf - Blizzard - Dark Pulse - Mat Block Greninja is a fast and pretty hard hitter thanks to his ability Protean giving him stab on all his moves. Surf can deal damage to all opponents and isn't a bad water move since it has more accuracy than Hydro Pump, though it doesn't have the stopping power Hydro pump does. Blizzard also hits multiple targets, and is a very powerful move, though it is very unrelible due to it's accuracy. Dark Pulse is for some coverage on Ghost and Psychic types. Mat Block is here for the same purpose as wide Guard on Aegislash. I am not sure how well it will fair so I may remove it. (It also doesn't have much use in a single battle other than scouting a move.) Pyron, The Unstable Fireball @ Life Orb Trait: Gale Wings EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Brave Bird - Flare Blitz - Roost - U-Turn Talonflame is also another fast Pokemon to add some speed into my team. He can still function under Trick Room due to his priority moves. Brave Bird for Stab Priority, Flare Blitz for coverage, Roost I am still not sure about, but it can be used to recover health, and U-Turn for Momentum. Gawain, Slayer of Dragons @ Focus Sash Trait: Thick Fat EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Icicle Crash - Ice Shard - Stealth Rock Mamoswine is mostly for Dragon Coverage, and might be for Rock Set-up as well. EQ is for Stab hits. Ice Shard is for priority especially against Dragons. Icicle Crash hits Dragons that aren't 4x times weak harder than Ice shard, possibly killing. Stealth Rock gets switch in damage, and breaks Focus Sashs and Sturdy making it easier to dispose of those mons. Bozo, Clown Extraordinaire. @ Flame Orb Trait: Guts EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Drain Punch - Mach Punch - Rock Slide - Thunderpunch Conkeldurr, is a very bulky Fighting type and is very Flexible, Guts allows him to take a status move and shrug it off, as well as make it easier to play around status, but he can also make use of Iron Fist, to power up his Punches. Drain Punch is for a more powerful Fighting move, and also making it harder to kill him. Mach Punch is for priority, Rock slide is for AoE in Triples and Doubles, and also provides coverage. Thunderpunch is to give a bit more coverage as well. Merlin, Master of Magics. @ Sitrus Berry Trait: Harvest EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk /4 SDef Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd) - Trick Room - Giga Drain - Psyshock - Sludge Bomb Trick Room Setter. Stab + Healing with Giga Drain Harvester combo. Psyshock for alternate Stab, and Sludge Bomb for Fairy killing and against other Grass types. Aegislash (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Stance Change EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Shadow Ball - Flash Cannon - King's Shield - Shadow Sneak Greninja (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Protean EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Surf - Blizzard - Dark Pulse - Mat Block Talonflame (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Gale Wings EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Brave Bird - Flare Blitz - Roost - Swords Dance Mamoswine (M) @ Focus Sash Trait: Thick Fat EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Icicle Crash - Ice Shard - Rock Slide Conkeldurr (M) @ Flame Orb Trait: Guts EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Drain Punch - Mach Punch - Rock Slide - Earthquake Exeggcutor (M) @ Sitrus Berry Trait: Harvest EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk/ 4 SDef Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd) - Trick Room - Giga Drain - Psyshock - Sludge Bomb Thank you for reading, and I hope I can get some feedback from you guys (will try to keep this updated with any changes I make to the team.) (Also anywhere to find 6th gen sprites etc? I just noticed they were broken) EDITS: 1: Changed Rock Slide on Mamoswine to Stealth Rock, also changed EQ on Conkeldurr to Thunderpunch. High possibility of Switching Reuniclus to Execuggtor as of a suggestion same with replacing WIde guard on Aegislash with Shadow Sneak. 2: Switched Trick Room User to Exeggcutor for the Grass stab, and some much needed Fairy Coverage. FraRPetO
You could use Stealth Rock instead of Rock Slide on Mamoswine, it's useful against Focus Sash, especially in Trick Room where you don't want to waste turns to just barely knocking them off And Thunder Punch instead of Earthquake on Conkeldurr, so you have more coverage Shadow Sneak on Aegislash would be good too, can't go wrong with priorities with a Trick Room team, and since you already have Mat Block on Greninja (which I think is enough)
Chevaleresse
I should mention that Chansey/Blissey put a full stop to special Aegislash, though that's not a huge concern in doubles/triples. I would consider running speed-hindering natures on Conkledurr and Mamoswine; it'll help you more in Trick Room. You could run Bronzong as your trick room setter; Levitate goes well with a team with lots of Earthquakes.
FraRPetO
And maybe Exeggutor could be a nice addition instead of Reuniclus with Trick Room, Psyshock, Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb (STAB Giga Drain instead of Recover paired with Harvest, and Sludge Bomb good for fairy and other Grass types) and it has really good SAtk
Raindrop Valkyrie
oh and I know about the speed hindering natures lol. I just wasn't origanlly going for a Trick room Team. It was kinda a last minute thought, so I didn't exactly change everything yet lol. I might run it a few times when I get the time see how it works before I just sack Reuni though lol. (Also what would the best EV spread be for the Exeggutor? I am actually thinking about using him now that you mentioned him lol.)
