After few weeks on total of working on this project, it's finally done and I'm sharing it now ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Before this, please keep in mind some of this stuff: The character obviously doesn't belong to me, so credit for the respective owner from reborn's developer Remember that this is a fan work, so don't expect it to be as good as the official one Might contain spoiler for Reborn This sprite takes so long to be made, idek how the developers manage to create thousands of sprites for the game (no wonder it takes years to be updated) so remember to appreciate our developer y'all ヽ(•‿•)ノ Spoiler Firstly the sprite at the beginning of the game: Let me share a bit abt how I come up with the design, well it just spawn in my head that she would wear this kind of outfit. At first, I thought the outfit look like emo fit that "dark depressed" kid will wear, but then I just realized that Lin is the "dark depressed" kid so it's valid Don't mind me borrowing some of Venam's and Saki's sprite for this ^^ Spoiler And here's the second sprite, the Kugearen one! For this design, i want to bring back ponytail Lin, the hairstyle of meteor ver of her. As for the outfit it was just coplete random, nothing to explain ッ Spoiler Next is the legacy sprite :D The legacy sprite is the reborn Lin???!???!?? OMG how surprising Okay-okay that aside, it makes the most sense to put the reborn sprite for the legacy sprite. Just made the surf, biking, dive sprite stuff as addition. I also made the trainer and vstrainer sprite, but feel free to use the reborn's sprite if you prefer that. Just use what suits ya the best :] Spoiler Here's some aditional stuff, where the interceptor sprite, darchlight sprite, gearen news art, and much more are placed The interceptor sprite is def one of the most frustrating one to be designed (´。＿。｀) but it's all worth it bcs it looks cool! (Had to redesign 2 times for this) For the interceptor sprite, I took some inspiration from pulse abra helmet stuff and armor and slap in the color palette from meteor Lin. I also make the armor suit black instead of white similar to Ana's one bcs it's more fitting. As for the darchlight sprite it was supposed to represent the "the soul of broken childhood" (Yesh, I name it myself lol), pretty depressing. Hope the design doesn't look weird for ya ^^ I've managed to motivate myself to make an art for Lin so the A-gang won't appear on the news instead (love the A-gang tho!) Tried my best to replicate the ingame art style for the sake of fitting in, hope it's good enough. (art style belong to respective artist...most likely Zumi, credit to them) Note: for the full art, please check out the google drive link and go to "Additional stuff" folder, it should be there Phew that's all, here's a link from google drive so it'll be easier to access the sprite (I hope): click here! If you actually read all of my commentary and yapping, wow...thanks so much, I appreciate your attention a lot <3<3 much much love!! If V14 onward release new sprite for the protag, I would really love to provide update for this sprite as well, but I doubt that I'll even have free time from this point further. Sadly, it'll going to take much much longer to be updated :( If any of you discovered some weird stuff or problem, even as minor as a random dot or white bg or anything weird, please let me know so I can fix em in my drive ASAP (except the gearen news art, can't fix that). Also, feedback is welcomed! Pika572 Posted July 25 Share Posted July 25 (Reposting this here just in case.) Two bugs I saw: The Kugearan sprite has a duplicate, one labeled trchar001 and the other trchar001_1. The second is correct but the one labeled trchar001 replaces the first outfit if put in second. The sprite that appears on your trainer card replaces Sakis (I think, it’s already gone.) instead of the one it’s meant to. Ahah.., I don't exactly named the sprite accordingly to the game file so it'll be wise to double check em before inserting them in the game. Also I don't realize there's an accidental copy whoops. I'm hoping to get the Reborn Lin child and adult sprites, and the Rejuvenation 2nd outfit drawn in the Gearen News portrait.
