After some times after designing some teams, I finally wanted to create a new aevian form for a Pokémon I love since I began to play at Pokémon 20 years ago : Starmie. The goal of my fanwork is trying to submit it to the Rejuv Team even if the chance to succeed are low. Let's start ! Firstly, for getting this you would require a Staryu (there is no Aevian-Staryu). It would require to have in its moveset Light Screen and a level up in the Darchlight Caves. Then, you would get an Aevian Starmie ! As you could suppose, the thematic of this form is based on the light & reflection. To represent this thematic, A-Starmie will get a new typing : Fairy / Steel. I choose the Steel Type to get a more significant link to the reflection of the light and dark attacks. I doubted a moment before remembering that A-Bronzong has the Steel Type based of this thematic too. Pokedex entry : A long time ago, these Pokémon took refuge and were separated from the stars. They mastered the power of the light to keep communicating with the night sky. The story behind this aevian form is linked to their migration because of the Storm-9. To survive the cataclysm, a group of Staryu took refuge in dark caverns. In this new environment, the Staryu were unable to use their Water affinity to protect themselves and were separated from the light of the stars. In the different Pokedex entries we could get from all the official games, Starmie and Staryu are said to use their heart and their light to communicate with the night sky. So I imagined they used the power of their heart to concentrate the minerals in their bodies. Then they got the ability to use their entire bodies to control the light to attack and protect themselves. Base Stats : HP : 60 => 60 Atk : 75 => 55 Def : 85 => 90 Sp.Atk : 100 => 105 Sp.Def : 85 => 90 Speed : 115 => 125 Total BS : 520 => 525 After designing the story and the typing of A-Starmie, I had to adapt its stats to its new style. By using their magic powers to transform their bodies, they gained some bulk to the detriment of its Attack Stat. Their transformation made their bodies lighter (lol) and denser, which means they lost weight too. By using constanly their powers, they increased their power and reaction speed. However I tried to prevent my form from being broken. That's why I didn't put more points in Sp.Atk. Other data of the Pokémon : Height : 1.1m Weight : 50kg (from 80kg) Note : I'm very bad for drawing, so if you want to try to give life to my aevian form, I would be glad to see it ^-^ Here I'll present its new abilities and moveset (Level Up, TM&HM, Move Tutors...). Abilities : Forewarn : By mastering the light, they managed to keep communicating with the night sky with other means. They are able to predict the path of the light to interprete the messages of the night sky and they respond by altering the path of light. Bright Body (Unique Ability) : Few aevian Pokémons have a unique ability, so I wanted to create one too ^^. I don't have to explain why I gave this ability to A-Starmie, so I'll explain how it works. All the light based attacks are enhanced by 50% and the ability reduces by 2 (x0.5) all light attacks taken. Magic Bounce (HA) : By using the light, A-Starmie is now able to deflect non-offensive moves such as Spikes or Toxik. List of "Light" moves : Dazzling Gleam, Flash Cannon, Aurora Beam, Starlight Beam, Ice Beam, Solar Beam, Charge Beam, Solar Blade, Power Gem, Steel Beam, Signal Beam. So, if you want to get a Starmie with water moves, you would need to learn these moves to a Staryu before. Signature Move : Starlight Beam BP : 100 Acc : 95% PP : 5 The ultimate "Light" move for a regular Pokémon. When the target is hit by this move, all its "light" moves are disabled for 2-4 turns. A-Starmie @ Life Orb / Wise Glasses Ability: Bright Body EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Starlight Beam - Ice Beam - Thunderbolt - Flip Turn That's how I imagined my Starmie in battle ! ^-^ Edit : Finally, I'll add other sets over the time :) A-Starmie @ Leftovers / Air Ballon Ability: Magic Bounce EVs: 252 HP / 186 Def / 72 Spe Timid Nature - Moonblast - Calm Mind - Recover - Magnet Rise / Rapid Spin A cool defensive Set Up.
