Help with Giratina Puzzle

Hello everyone,

could someone please help me with the Giratina greyscale mixing puzzle? I don't get it, despite having read the walkthrough + having watched videos of it. In theory, I get what needs to be done, it's just that...it all looks the same? Colours plus cracks plus mixing except sometimes different colours will be the result?? The differences between greys plus the different cracks (which have different colours sometimes too), sometimes it's a solid colour, and all of it on a moving scale - I don't get it, and it's driving me up the wall.

Maybe someone could help me. It would be much appreciated.

 

Edit: I tried the skip puzzle password, but that didn't work, unfortunately :(

Unfortunately no :( I played an Anna route (where Taka solves the issue) and had the automatic puzzle solving PW activated - seeing as that gave the option of skipping other puzzles, maybe I'll try my hand on another Lin route, hopefully the PW will take care of that puzzle.
