Jen
Hello, i'm just a new member to this website. I know there is quite a few members on here that use speech packages. I myself am a mac user and use a speech package called Voiceover, it is built into the mac itself. I know that Pokemon reborn is accessable using Windows and text to speech. I am just wondering if any of the developers on here might have an interest in future in trying to find a way to make it suitable for mac using Voiceover. I know there is a version for Mac, but without any access to a speech package i'm not able to play. Thanks from Jen.
Developers enu Posted November 22 Developers Share Posted November 22 I explored tts support for linux a while back and wasn't able to figure out how to implement it. Mac would be even worse since I don't have one. So basically if someone gives us a working solution how to connect the game with linux or mac based tts software we'll gladly incorporate it but we simply don't know how to do it.
Jen
Hello, thanks for your reply. I was able to play the game a few weeks ago using a friend's laptop who uses text to speech on Windows. I was very impressed with the way its been able to run with accessibility. Voiceover is a completely different system from text to speech, it is used by interacting with different things on the screen, and commands. I know it is used on other games successfully, but I understand if you don't have a mac, it won't be as easy to find a way of making it accessable. If there was other mac users around that had advice it would be interesting. Thanks for the follow.
Jen
Hey, I just discovered that Apple has its own TTS, and some other games have used it in the passed to make games playable. I'll need to check this out.
