[Fanwork] A crest for Minior

Hi !

During my playthough with my Mineral Team (Steel, Rock, Ground), I used a Minior for a time. This Pokémon is pretty weak against some monsters and it rarely shine during battles. That's why I'm here to design a crest idea for it ^^ 
 

Our Pokémon is kinda unique, with different colors which has no effect in battle. Recently, Rejuv Team made a crest for Sawbuck. Each form has a different typing and can be changed by a petal bought in Mt.Terajuma. 

 

Minior Crest could have the same type of effect. Firstly, a new type of item should be a rock which changes the color of Minior. The items could be bought at the Excavation Site after the sidequest of Krystal. It could be a kind of secondary reward for having finished this quest. Plus, having the opportunity to change the color of Minior can be a way to custom it.

 

The effects of the crest could be the following :

- When Minior uses an offensive move, its form changes and it receives a +1 boost in attack and special attack.

- When using a status move, it takes its meteor form, lost the offensive boosts for a defensive boost (+1 Def / Special Defense). The effect procs when Minior is sent out. 

- When leaving its meteor form, the Rock Type of Minior changes according to its color and its Rock attacks take the new type :

Red : Fire

Yellow : Electric

Blue : Water

Green : Grass

Purple : Poison

White : Ice 

Black : Dark

 

Like this, Minior can freely change its form according to the situation. It will be easier to set up the Pokémon thanks to its defensive form and defensive boost, and it doesn't need to take some hits to become more offensive. The counterpart of the crest is the incapacity of using Rock-Type moves for having a new STAB. It can't use healing move (Rest will be impossible to use) ,but I think it's a good deal to become more reliable.

Plus, with some forms, it loses some weaknesses to priority moves (Vaccum Wave, Bullet Punch, Aqua-Jet...) in function of the colour you choose.

 

The only problem of this idea is the Shiny form of Minior. When this Pokémon is shiny, it has an orange colour for all of its form. So I have a suggestion to solve this problem : 

When it's shiny, it still have white parts on its body, especially the tips. It could be great to inverse the colours of the Pokémon when it's shiny. If the player finds a shiny Minior, he/she can know what kind of colour it has.

For example I found a black shiny Minior. Instead being orange and white in its shiny form, it will be black (tips, eyes...) and white (main part of the body).
