chuckles
i've been running around taking out bouffalant for a tauros to ride on and taking out tauros so the bouffalant can clear the path, i've figured that much out, but i can't figure out how to get past these spider webs, or really get anywhere. No matter what i do i seem to keep finding dead ends (i found that massive gate and the sleeping hobo and the gear but i don't know what i can do there, if anything) and i haven't found a town or anything and this is getting ridiculous. Going back to the 2nd floor of that lab to heal my pokemon all the time is tedious, and i really don't even know which direction is right at this point. Really want to destroy these webs somehow though.
Phlytosion
Going far to the right of the nature center will lead you to Vanhanen Castle, which is where the next gym and where the storyline will start. As for the forest, its pretty much just a sidequest for some cool Pokemon. I'm sure your seeing spider webs and more logs within the Aventurine woods. You need to place honey on specific trees. They stand out because a different looking tree is always around either a spider web or log within arforest. Once you place honey on the tree, you just have to wait several minutes before a Heracross or Pinsir will appear (don't even try catching them). Just like the Tauros and Buffalount, defeating heracross makes the logs go away, and defeating Pinsir makes the webs go away.
Arkhi
Just like Phlyto said, continue east as much as possible. Sometimes, it's necessary to go in the forest, but only for short segments, which loop back to Route 1. Remember to keep moving right. That's about it. Nova
i did look for another topic, did several searches. Also, where do i get some honey? Didn't even know it was in the game... Honey can be bought at the flower shop in the Lapis ward for thousand bucks a piece. Honey is damn expensive.
Deleted User
Or--- In the northeast part of the Aventurine forest, you can trade ice cream (much cheaper) for honey, in a house full of Pikachu's owned by Nyu. He will also serve as a pokemon center saying "would you like me to heal your pikachus?"
Phlytosion
You can also headbutt trees and steal the honey from Combee's in Aventurine Woods using Thief on a Pokemon. I recommend Kecleon if you do.
chuckles
Wow...what rewards can even be gained from using the honey, and are the effects permanent? If it's like that i don't want to spend a bunch of cash for a damned surskit or something.
