Timber Dragon
First off, no, I'm not keen on just siding with El just to avoid a hard battle, and since I think Arceus has Leftovers, things like Destiny Bond wouldn't work, either. Arceus is level 80 and a god and he pillages my ass. What did you do to beat him?
Vinny
Quoting myself: Scrafty used Hi Jump Kick... It's Super Effective! Arceus used Focus Miss... It Missed... Scrafty used Hi Jump Kick... It's Super Effective! Arceus used Focus Miss... It Missed... Scrafty used Hi Jump Kick... It's Super Effective! Arceus fainted... *Victory jingle* I surprise myself sometimes... I didn't use Gyarados... Damn...
Timber Dragon
Sorta relies too much on luck, though... the game's never been that kind to me.

Don´t know why it shouldn´t work with Leftovers
Vinny
If you're not going to rely on luck though, there isn't much i can do then... You can use Focus Band + Destiny Bond, so that's an option... You can also make Arceus lose all the PP of it's moves... Then use a good steel type like Magnezone... Since i won like that though, i can't really help you... But hopefully, someone will ^^ EDIT: If you give something a Focus Band and use Perish Song, that can also work... Timber Dragon
Actually, I just remembered I have a Gastly with Curse (and if it doesn't, I have some Heart Scales to make it relearn it). Would that do it?
Vinny
Until Arceus hits you with Dark Pulse... I think your Gastly is going to need some Speed EV or some luck if you're thinking of a Focus Band...
Notus
One tactic I found amazing was the one Trevo used to take down Garchomp... with a level 4 Pineco! Let me get the link here. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3446&page=3 Edited March 21, 2014 by Notus
Timber Dragon
I'm probably just hoping a Focus Band will work. I'm not in the mood to do a whole ton of extra preparation for this fight, since I'm already preparing for the Psychic gym.
Matanui3
It doesn't get endless Full Restores like Garchomp did, does it?
Timber Dragon
Leftovers aside, it doesn't get healed as far as I can tell. I managed to take it down with Gastly + Curse + Focus Band (took a few tries for it to activate, though...).

I'm not in the mood to do a whole ton of extra preparation for this fight, since I'm already preparing for the Psychic gym. It works. I used the destiny bond+focus band strategy and it works like a charm just like how I handle Garchomp.
GottaLoveShuckle
In my dark type mono I started the battle with Umbreon with lefties. Switched to Spiritomb so Arceus Focus blast and Judgement doesn't work... Switch to Umbreon to take the Dark pulse then heal little with leftovers... Used Protect with Umbreon to stall another move and heal a little with leftovers.. Switch back to Spiritomb for the Judgement or Focus blast... Repeat until Arceus runs out of PP and struggles to death. 0 of my Pokemon fainted! Edit: I handled Garchomp so hilariously in my Dark type mono lol... I used my Prakster Liepard and spammed Sand attack till my Liepard got took out (managed to get Garchomp to -3 accuracy before going down) and then sent out Mightyena to spam swagger on it until it was at +6 attack and basically killed itself from hitting itself from confusion... Even if it bypassed confusion it missed because of its lowered accuracy as Dragon rush isnt very accurate to begin with. Matanui3
This battle suffers from excessive dialogue. Ame needs to let you save after the dialogue, just before fighting, so you don't have to hit buttons for 5 minutes on every restart.
