  1. 1. Who should be the central character in the RP?

    • Lt.Surge

    • A completely original character

  2. 2. The name I have right now for the RP is "The Great Genetic War", What do you guys think of it?

    • It's awsome, let's stick with that as the name

  3. 3. now, What er... What should we do about the Legendaries and thier lore?

    • Sweep them under the rug and don't even address them until very late into the RP

    • Take away all of their lore and simply remake their backstories as super Genetic weapons that were developed during the war

    • Just say that the stories came from an alternate reality, where pokemon Existed in Ancient times, which diffused into the Earth's culture through some event(rift gate, etc.)

  4. 4. should we all pull together to fill in some of the story of the political situation of the Earth when the war begins, or do you all just wanna leave that to me

    • yes, you go ahead and do that. we'll all be waiting to see what you come up with (I'm not entirely sure what will be the outcome for this if this choice comes out on top)

    • Yes! we should all work together to craft ourselves an interesting and actually plausible Geo-political situation (Seriously guys, if this is left up to me, I'm scared I might screw up on it a little)

  5. 5. What should the tech used in the war be based of off (the war, according to the mutant future and my own theory, starts in the early 2060's)

    • alien tech (we'll cross this bridge if we come it, because I've no idea what this would even consist of)

    • Highly advanced versions of modern day tech (I'm talking about laser rifles, Plasma rays, and Moleculer destruction devices, just to name some)

  7. 7. Last one for now, but you realize that with the RP being heavily based on warfare, there will be a considerable amount of Blood shed and Violence, Correct?

    • Yes, I know that, however I expect it to be to an appropiate degree only, not something like a horror movie.

welp, I had this idea about an Hour ago, and it just won't stop eating at me, and from what I can see, no one has done it before on this site, so here it is

Basically, an RP based off a Quote from Lt. Surge- "Electric types saved me during the war"

Yes, that's right folks, I'm thinking of an RP set during the Kanto War.

Before I go into the basic plot any futher, If you're not familiar with the kanto war or the Mutant Future pokemon theories, than please take a moment to read over them here:

Now then, Here's what'll be cosidered as canon for the RP

  • the story lines of Pokemon Red, Blue, Fire Red, And Leaf Green
  • As well as the two theories listed above, which I have taken it upon myself to try and merge into one, Which I call "The Great Genetic War" (I will get more into that later on)
  • The occurences of the Mangas will be tossed away for this, but Some minor details from the anime will be used (such as the portrayal of Lt.surge's personality, as the games don't really give much in the way of that, As well as the fact that guns have been depicted in pokemon.)

I think a viable option is to say that all of it stemmed from the development of teleportation, as that would allow Poke Balls to be a thing (i.e. large teleporting center meltdown or something similar).

the new name of the idea is "The Poke-War; Surge Story"

Well, the majority have spoken, the results:

This RP will have a group of central characters made that consist of PCs, with Lt.surge as the leader of the group (Squadron)

The legendaries, wont be so legendary in the story...

The Geo politcal situation will be discussed in the OOC thread (which I will put up later today)

The story's technology will be moderately advanced peices of modern day tech.
