Sutoratosu
Welcome to the OOC/ Sign-up thread for the RP "Surge Story" About the Inspiration for this RP: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Mutant_Future http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_War_Theory I have taken the two above theories and combined them into one. it's somewhat long, so heres the gist: at time of the events in Firered/ Leafgreen(which in my theory are placed in the moderately far future, Pokemon are the final result of a catostrophic scientific research project that melted down. and have only existed in the world for the approximately Fifty years, they've only been known about for thirty years, and only used as combat partners for the past twenty years. Many of you who've played either of those above games will recall where this quote is from: "You won't live long in combat, kid. That's for sure. Electric types saved me during the war, They zapped my enemies into paralysis!" - Lt. Surge upon being challenged in Vermillion. If these words are true, than that means that U.S. armed service members were the first actual pokemon trainers in the world, and that the world recently went through a war of some kind, as the good Lieutenant doesn't appear to be older than his mid-forties, at most. Ergo, Lt. Surge was amoung the first crop of Trainers. the game later goes on to states that the good lieutenant had the ingenious idea of using electric types to power his plane during a bad situation in the war. The fact that he's called the "Lightning American" implies that America's existence in the world of pokemon, which goes right with the fact that the regions of Kanto, Hoen, and Johto, are all based on very geographically similar locations in Japan. So what was this war over, and who fought it? Now, before we go any further, allow me to make one thing very clear: This ain't pokemon, soldiers. Pokemon is a fantasy, Surge Story is a Science Fiction set in the 2060s and onward. Pokemon... is prettied up, tailored for the likings of young children, Surge Story is most DEFIANTLY not. Things in Surge Story are not sugar coated, they are not prettied up or censored, but instead raw and real, uncut and sometimes even surprisingly harsh at times. This... my friends, is NOT Pokemon anymore. Oh no, what we have here, lying before us, is instead Pokemon Reimagined, revisualized, taken from the realms of the fantastical to those of logic and hard reason. It is pokemon as it might be, if it were to ever exist in our world. But Surge Story is also a tale of war, the story of an American Military Officer, and the Squadron who served under him during the war to end all foreseeable wars... the war that would make America and it's allies the most powerful nations on the earth... the war that would decide who would go on to rule the global stage. The story of NATO, and it's final, heated battle... and it is also the story of the strange, mutated organisms who fought alongside these soldiers and their commanding officer, just as much as it is about them. The stage is set, the clock ticking, tensions rising... Kommaru Rising. The world's a powder keg... and the fuse is lit. That, Soldiers... is what this is. WE aren't pokemon anymore. we may share things in common, most notably the existence of strange creatures capable of far more destruction than any other weapon known to man. But we are done. There will be some events in this world, that of Surge and his men, far in the future that will hold some basic semblance to those described in Pokemon's games... but they will be heavily edited, altered, rationalized. they will be made real. You will find no 10 year old children running around taking on mobsters(Rocket) here, or Animal Rights terrorists (Plasma), or Eco Terrorists(Magma/Aqua)... oh no, such ridiculousness will not stand in this world. Things will be revised, reexamined, and won't be accepted until they actually make sense. The boy known as Red will not be a child, but instead perhaps a JDF agent under code name... and perhaps the boy known as "Black" will not be a teenager, but instead a young HS agent... who knows? All that matters is that this is our story now. not Gamefreak's, But our's, soldiers, and Our's alone. we will mold events as we shall see fit. And perhaps when we're finally done, we'll have something... worth being proud of. We are not bound by Gamefreak's mechanics here unless we agree that they make sense. otherwise, we shall use our own Prologue: The year is 2061. Nearly thirty years ago, a disaster occurred in a research center in Hiroshima, Japan, causing the facility, and all of the surronding city to be destroyed. A strange genetic virus soon began to spread in Japan, infecting people and wildlife, most who came into contact with it died. some were genetically immune. and a few... turned into... strange new forms, unlike anything seen in the earth's biosphere before, Able to do impossible things, from withstand an explosion without mortal injury, to manipulate the elements of the Earth themselves. The virus caused massive upheaval in the region, eventually leading to the country's collapse, No communications have been able to be made with the now darkened island chain. All was silent, Many countries in NATO considered sending investigative Squads to Japan, however, with absolutely no intel as to the current situation, all proposals were been rejected. Years later, the virus began to spread slowly to the rest of the world. Striking next in China and the rest of Asia, then Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and Europe, infecting and killing hundreds of millions of people. It reached the shores of north america only five years ago, but an advanced warning of things to come resulted in the governments of Canada, The US, and Mexico being militarily prepared to contain the infection. Martial law is declared.Still, many millions die. The Virus infectability rate has seemed to died down in the past few months, more and more people are becoming immune to it's effect, neither dieing, nor transforming. Martial law is lifted just a few weeks ago in all three countries. But strange things are being done by the U.S. military. Several people claim to have seen military members in full black subdue then capture large numbers of the transformed organisms, driving them away and back to Unknown locations in large covered trucks. conspiracy theories fly like wild fire, the most popular of which is that the Government is experimenting with these new creatures combat prowess.A week ago, however, the military begins a massive propaganda campaign seeking new recruits, promising that all those accepted will become "the elite warriors of tomorrow. The defenders of America today." Many young people, most of them barley out of thier teen's or in thier early twenties, are drawn to the offer for the pay and promised prestige and adventure. You are one of those hopefulls joining the swaths forming outside U.S. recruitment offices all across the country. Little do you know that fate has already chosen you before you ever thought of joining... A timeline of Events leading up to the story's beginning: January 22, 2027: Dr. Hagiru Sato and his team of scientists from Japan, America, Canada, and Britain begin work on a matter-energy transference machine. February 11, 2030: First machine is tested successfully after over a hundred failed tests. Controversy over the destructive nature of the technology ignites. March 19, 2031: The War on Terror ends. December 21, 2032: A catastrophic incident with an energy-matter machine destroys the city of Hiroshima, in devastation not seen since the atomic bombs were dropped nearly 90 years prior. Japanese government officials move to ban work on the technology, though Western powers urge them to allow it, despite the mishap. May 12, 2033: Researchers in the US and Canada begin to carry on the EtM research of Dr.Sato. several facilities in both countries are constructed, and operation begins under government funding and close supervision. April 22, 2035: First sighting of infected individuals. Most are animals; some humans are also shown to be susceptible to infection. Most seen around the ruins of Hiroshima, which had not been rebuilt. January 1, 2040: 98% of all animals in Japan are wiped out, ecosystems ruled entirely by infected individuals. May 8, 2048: Japanese Defense Force engages infected individuals to preserve quarantine. Coordinated attacks by infected humans and animals are seen. High levels of intelligence confirmed. May 10, 2048: They fail, and the nation of Japan ceases to exist. October 13, 2048: The United States Carrier George W. Bush is attacked and sunk by an unknown force. Later revealed to be a coordinated assault by the infected. Use of atomic weapons to destroy all life on Japan considered, but denied. April 12, 2049: after months of attempts to re-establish contact with the Japanese archipelago, it is confirmed that no current means of tele-communications can reach the darkened Island chain. Efforts to do so cease entirely. 2050-2054: It is unknown how, but during the period of four years, the virus has somehow spread from the Japanese Archipelago, to Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, and South america. several nations fare better in containing the disease than Japan did, however many millions still die. many small nations in Asia surrender their sovereignty to the Chinese government, in the hopes of being able to survive the pandemic, similar occurrences happen with Russia and several countries in Eastern Europe. April 2, 2055: the Infection has been confirmed to have spread to North America. Military preparedness results in a far more contained infection. Hundreds of thousands in the United States, Canada, and Mexico die. Full Martial law is declared in the US, and strict curfews are imposed in many parts of the country. July 15, 2056: Following an approval from Congress, several major cities and population centers in the US are outfitted with outer walls and fortifications in order to defend against several highly dangerous infected specimens. Fighting between US armed Service members and Infected animals becomes a common sight in the following years. August 20, 2056: Congress authorizes GAOWP, standing for the "Genetically Altered Organism Wielder Program" after it is observed on several occasions that some Infected Creatures have developed Friendly connections with certain humans who treat them well. General Arnold D. McCarthy, Admiral Mitchel J. Sanchez, and General of the Air Force Kyle R. Matthews are approved by congress to be the overseers of the GAOW training program for their respective branch of the Armed forces. Major Stanley Freeman, a two star general tasked with developing appropriate procedures for Patrol Squadrons defending against the infected, begins to shift protocol for patrol squadrons from "Attack if sighted within the boundaries of civilization" to "Attack only if Attacked first or if necessary to defend Civilians". August 30, 2056: Congress authorizes the construction of the Military base code named "Fort Bexley" along the US-Canadian border (With the prior approval from the Canadian government) and positioned in a previously unexplored thickly forested area along the rocky mountains. Construction begins immediately. January 5, 2057: After many hours of crews working around the clock, Fort Bexley is completed and prepared to be manned. the nation's EtM research is moved to the base shortly afterwards. February 12, 2057: at 11:05 AM, Dr. Urban James Ray is approached by the US Secretary of Defense and is offered a high security clearance position as a Lead scientist in the GAOWP. he accepts and comes into the employ of the US armed forces. later that same day, renowned Professor of Genetic sciences and Psychology, Samuel Oak, and renowned professor of Biology, John Rowan, are approached as well and also accept the offer. all three are later stationed at Fort Bexley. February 15, 2057: Following the Authorization of the GAOWP several months ago, Dr, Kendrick Rain and his team of scientist begin to experiment with Energy to Matter technology, theorizing that it may be possible to contain infected individuals with some type of stasis containment system. after many waking hours and failed trials, the team finally completes and successfully test a functioning GAO containment system, which involves using an immensely large EtM Console to condense an infected organism into an energy form and then seal said energy in a spherical capsule outfitted with an apparatus to translate the Energy back int matter and then back into energy as needed. (Test are carried out to see if the capsules are able to capture GAOs without having to use the Console, but it is found that they are found, for some unknown reason, to be unable to do so despite theoretically having all the appropriate functioning and components to.) May 1, 2057: the capture of GAOs, as the infected have come to be known as, begins by the orders of the US government. thousands of specimens are tranquilized and transported to various undisclosed facilities to be sealed within capsules. Major Stan Freeman again goes to work developing procedure to go about capture without causing to much damage to either the infected, or to soldiers. they prove highly infected. July 1, 2057: The First storm encounter occurs. Major Freeman is confirmed to have been KIA by an Infected animal. his then 16 year old son Erick is the sole survivor of the incident. No one is appointed to take Freeman's Former Position as the Drafter of Patrol Protocol. July 3, 2059: the GAOWP is finally ready to begin active operation. several potential GAOWs are given psychiatric evaluations to determine if they're fit to become enlisted in the program. the resulting number of soldiers mentally eligible are pathetic at best. It is debated by congress whether or not a draft or public recruitment should be held. October 10, 2061: Congress has decided to hold a massive recruitment campaign to draw in more individuals to the GAOWP... and so our story begins... Timeline of Story Events after the Exposition: The Rules on this RP: 1. As this is going to be a military oriented RP, somewhat graphic and violent post will be tolerated; however do not go overboard, Give Enemies a quick and clean death. no torturing charcters to death (Unless authorized by the RP host(me), which will never happen unless in an interrogation scene, in which case, the death won't even be intentional and will serve some vital purpose in the story's development) 2. Keep your mind and your post out of the gutter. I will not tolerate any overly sexual Post (the site rules won't either). A FEW Innuendos thrown in cleverly here and there will be tolerated, but if it gets to be an issue, then they'll become part of this rule as well. 3.No legendary Pokemon will be acquirable until late in the story. 4. don't abuse your team's strength by power playing against a fellow RPer. this will be acceptable in some situations such as a military battle against enemy agents, but If you have a high leveled tyranitar and decide to send it out against a player who just started out and only has a spearrow, than I'll be sure to take away said tyranitar very tragically from you during the story. 5.The RP host (me) will decide the outcome of Major NPC battles, the time, date and weather, as well as promote or demote military rank in the story, as well as serve as a general narrator for major events. 6.No overly profane language, please. 7. Pokemon can die in this RP, just as humans can. 8. Pokemon are not limited to only using sets of four moves in this RP; IE. they are able to have a move pool that is limited only by the amount of moves it makes sense for them to have learned at their level of development. the same guidelines as outlined on Moves by the Host earlier still apply. everyone will be responsible for making sure they do not abuse this rule. if they do not do this, and do abuse this rule, as either the Host or the Majority of participants in this RP may dictate when such is the case, they will lose this privilege and be forced to restrain their Partners move pools back to four moves only, and will receive further consequences if the issue continues to arise. There are however, still restrictions on certain moves, which are as follows: No Egg Moves that must be Chain Bred onto a pokemon and cannot be justified without this factor are allowed. If a Pokemon knows a certain move, it can not, under any circumstances what so ever, teach that move to another pokemon. this counts as Move Tutoring, which is banned. STAB currently is not a known effect, ergo, no pokemon will receive Same Type Attack Bonus in battle. (this will eventually change however.) 9. If a Player of this RP is inactive for more than 45 days (A month and a half) without giving any notice of their absence to the host prior, then the Host reserves the right to assume that said player is not going to be returning, and take permanent control of their character if necessary. the waiting period before the host can do this can grow longer or shorter from case to case as necessary, but 45 days is the standard. If a player who was Assumed permanently gone by the host returns, then control of the character will be relinquished back to them only if explicitly requested via PM. Signup template Char. Name:Char. Surge Age: 28 Sex: Male Appearance: Surge stands at approximately 6"2, weighing in at approximately 182.5 LBS, 92% of which is muscle. Eye Color is a pale cobalt blue. Hair color is a dark blonde, often somewhat unkempt despite repeated reprimands from his superiors to correct it. He has a face marked by it's prominent square chin and jaw. His body is of a lean and muscular build. His Test results placed him in the top percentile of the last Fitness Evaluation. Psychological Profile: "Surge is a cautious individual whose prudence sometimes borders on sheer paranoia, while at others proves to be incredibly beneficial intuition and foresight on his part. I noted several times during the evaluation that he could rather smug with certain responses, a bit Arrogant even, though as to whether or not it was intended the answers and commentary come across as such remain to be seen. I observed during both training exercises with him and his men on base, and out in the field on actual patrols, that he is a leader with little tolerance for getting off track or general nonsense, but at the same time one who is willing to go to great lengths in order to defend his squadron from unnecessary or potentially catastrophic risk, which in my honest opinion is somewhat reminiscent to me of how George Washington was stated as handling his own tiny army against the British. But surge takes it even a step further it seems. It appears as though there is no such thing as an "Acceptable Loss" to him. Every soldier he serves beside or whom serves under his command has his or her own value in his mind, he treats them not as cattle or drones to go and fight wars, but instead as individuals, individuals whose lives truly matter on the battle field. While this in and of itself is either a great virtue or a horrible vice in a Commander is honestly up to one's own views. That said though, while Surge isn't willing to sacrifice his soldiers in a fight, he's definitely lacking that much self preservation for his own being; time and time again I watched the man delegate the most dangerous task in the most dangerous situations to none other than himself with little hesitation or thought to it... but coupled with his natural prudence going about the tasks, I guess it can work for him whenever he does it. Another thing worthy of noting is that he has a rather unorthodox method of thought process in some situations, vexing at first, but actually brilliant once it's put into execution. In my professional military opinion, this individual is more than fit for a Commissioned Officer's Rank and advanced levels of command. My only worry is whether or not the Staff Sergeant will be able to adapt to fighting alongside these new organisms... rather than fighting them." -Dr. Jeffrey Collars, authorized member of the Bexly Psychology Staff Personal History: Born in New York City, New York on February 21, 2034 at 06:32 hours. Surge came from a broken household, raised by a single mother who often had difficulties managing to just make ends meet every month and a father who walked out on them before he could even talk. His childhood years were troubled ones, with him getting involved constantly with the wrong crowds and having numerous minor run ins with the law that mostly resulted in him getting off with nothing more than warnings from the authorities. Things changed however when Surge was charged as an accessory to an actual crime; a case of shoplifting which the boys he was then hanging with managed to peer pressure him into doing. It was at this point which Surge was actually arrested and sent to juvenile detention for the first time. It also so happens that this was the turning point for him. Instead of being sent through the regular NY juvenile court system, he was assigned to trial in the "Juveniles Judging Juveniles System" which was established decades earlier in the state. After going through the system and being tried by a jury quite truly comprised of his own peers, he decided to turn things around for himself overnight. He cut off all contact with the delinquents whom he was formerly friends with, put his efforts into his school work and his grades rather than gang banging on the streets. By the time he was in High School he'd completely 180'd from his old ways, earning some of the highest standings in his class. This 180 of his life didn't change one thing however. While Surge knew with certainty he'd never return to the petty world of delinquency and crime he had known as a child, he was just as certain that he had no idea what he actually wanted to apply himself to in his life, what he wanted to do, wanted to achieve. He managed to trudge through college despite his uncertainty, getting a degree in Homeland Security, again graduating as one of the top students in his class... but still with no idea about how his life would play out from there. A job in the government, despite him having the degree and all the proper qualifications and skill sets, honestly made the man balk away from the idea, as well as a number of other careers which the skills he had learned during his secondary education could be put to equal use. It was at this point that one of his professors from university suggested the young man go into the Armed Services if he was looking for something to do with his life. He handed young Surge the number for a local recruitment office of the branch he himself had served in for years before becoming a higher educator; The US Air Force. Needless to say the advice was taken and Surge was admitted into basic training at age 19, and earned to fly. His time was not smooth at all, however, there were several incidents of reprimands and altercations with superior officers left and right throughout his service. By all means, he should have thrown out from the constant trouble that would arise, yet instead of being dishonorably discharged, the Air Force merely striped him of all rank and handed him off to the Army, thinking that by the nature of many of the altercations he might be better suited on the ground than he was in the skies. And they were completely right about him. After the transfer between branches Surge excelled in his military career, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant in just three years. His abilities and strength as a ground commander shined even brighter when he was assigned to a guard patrol of Washington DC during the outbreak years, impressing a great many superiors and higher ups with his style of leadership and commitment to preserving the lives of his team mates. After Congress authorized and initiated the GAOWP, which would later become the US Genomic Weapons Corps, Surge was among the first to be put through the psychological and competency testing required to be approved for transfer... and passed the primaries with flying colors. It goes without saying that the higher ups are keeping an eye on him and his performance in this new setting... Their Lore will be removed entirely. Their origin story will be relegated to Creatures developed as super weapons by both the U.S. and various nations opposed to the U.S. when word of the (Nope, no spoilers for you!!!) Their power and size will be the absolute stuff of nightmares, far greater than the Canon Pokemon Potrays them. But you all will see that first hand eventually... Minor Legendaries will have a lesser role in the story than majors, but will be attainable easier in the story. Their lore will be replaced by Urban myths that spring up in the story, brought up by NPC's. (EX. The random Joe approached Liutenant surge as the Surrendering Korean soldiers were collected and loaded onto the transport, his face estatic. "Yo man, you hear about the huge flaming bird that was spotted in Yellow Stone? Man, they say that the thing was so bright that it can be seen twenty miles away at night!") They origin stories will be that they are creatures that the Virus has taken further root inside, thus transforming them to a far greater degree, and with that greater transformation comes greater power than other Infected creatures. Sutoratosu
This post has been edited to serve as the place where the Mechanics of this RP will be listed and explained. Regarding the Mechanics of this RP Regarding Levels: About Levelsin this RP, the leveling system is a tad peculiar. Pokemon have been found to constantly give off a certain type of energy from within their bodies. During the RP, a device will be given to each PC upon receiving their Partners. This device is capable of reading the Energy given off by the creatures, and then return the findings in the form of Levels. The device sends a signal out which bounces off the Pokemon in waves known as "Ticks". However many ticks bounces off of the Pokemon and is returned and re detected by the device is an indicator of the Level that the pokemon is. Basically, how many Ticks come back, subtract it from one hundred, and that's how many levels the Pokemon currently is. so for example, a level one Pokemon will bounce back 99 of the Ticks sent, and the device will read it as being level 1. This is how the actual leveling system will work: the amount of energy given off by a Pokemon varies not with the species, but rather with it's biological Age, as well as the amount of conditioning it's experienced (Either naturally, such as Wild Pokemon, or Assisted, as in Trainer raised.) For Example, a Pokemon that has just been born will barely give off any energy, so the device registers the findings at the lowest possible level: 1. But a Pokemon of considerable age, and extensive conditioning, whether it be natural or assisted, will give off a far greater amount of energy, and the device will report the findings as a far higher level, such as anywhere from level 55 from 100. But Conditioning always trumps age when it is Assisted Conditioning. A Pokemon barely two years old in the wild probably wont reach a level higher than 30 at the very most (and thats an extreme, as in it's something so determined to accomplish something that it trains itself day and night, such as a Bagon) But a Pokemon of the same age thats been raised by a trainer could be anywhere between levels 60-100 (again estimated using extremes in determination). the maximum levels that can be gained from training or battling is three levels in one session. up to two Pokemon can be involved in a non-mandatory training session. they will both be able to rise by three levels.(mandatory sessions are RP events held either for group training or evaluation by the commanding officer, the entire team would be involved and everyone on the squad would be involved, and every Pokemon would rise by three levels; for non-mandatory sessions, you can do that during a free time in the RP( free times are periods not occupied by training or other story development/ progression. they will be announced by General Narration or by dialog from Surge.), nothing to it, just say who your training and describe it Guidelines for leveling Everyone will be more or less responsible for keeping up with their own partners levels, but here are the guidelines for the appropriate number of levels from battling. (Only the victor of battles can level up)Levels gained in this RP will be determined mostly with a five tier Intensity scale: Tier 1: Low intensity: The fight was easy for the victor, either because it ended so quickly or they were facing an opponent far weaker than them or had a huge strategic advantage. (Example: A lvl 20 Geodude versus a lvl 12) pidgeyLevels gained from this tier: 0-1 levels Tier 2: Medium Low Intensity: The fight required some effort on both sides, but again, the winner's victory became obvious before long. Levels gained from this tier: 1-1.5 levels Tier 3: Medium intensity: A good fight were both sides were about evenly matched in terms of power, and strategy would decide who emerged as the victor. Levels gained from this tier: 1.5-2 levels Tier 4: Medium High intensity: A fight between two highly skilled/ Powerful teams. Somewhat drawn out and elaborate in terms of strategy. A fight to be proud of. Levels gained from this tier: 2-2.5 levels Tier 5: High intensity: A fight that is really a glorified war between two sides. Long, drawn out, and both sides taking heavy damage with several knockouts. use of elaborate and creative strategy. Underdog situations in which one faces an enemy far more powerful and yet still emerges victorious through perseverance and improvising is also considered to be worthy of this tier. All boss and mini boss battles will by default fall under this tier unless I specifically say otherwise. Levels gained from this tier: 2.5-3 levels Everyone will be expected to use these guidelines in keeping track of levels, and to chose the appropriate tier that their victory falls under. However, this is also a sixth tier of intensity, but more will be spoken of it when the time for it's unveiling comes. About Evolution Evolution is the process by which Pokemon transition from Child forms to Adulthood. There are ultimately a few ways by which Evolution can be accomplished or achieved: LEVEL REQUIREMENT: when a pokemon is conditioned, either naturally or assisted, to the point that the energy given off by it registers as the level corresponding to it's evolution requirement, It will evolve. Evolution via Leveling is often achieved much sooner under the direction of a trainer than it is in the wild, where it can take years before the GAOW has matured enough on it's own.ITEMS: As for pokemon which require an item to evolve, the items necessary will become available throughout times in the RP. (Either by the item being invented, or by PCs being given the opportunity to find them by the general Narration, etc.) A Note on Evolution Stones: Evolution stones have a minimum friendship requirement in this RP inorder for a pokemon to be willing to accept it and evolve. The Minimum requirement is 4 months of being in the Player's active party. TRADE: In this RP, all pokemon that usually evolve via trade will now evolve via Friendship for practicality's sake. For pokemon that evolve via trade involving certain species (EX. the Karrablast and Shelmet lines), the other species needed must be present in the players party, and the Player must have a high enough friendship level with BOTH Pokemon. simply bounding with only one will not be enough to trigger evolution with either of them (and in these cases in which these requirements have been met, both of the Pokemon in question will evolve simultaneously, even if one is still in it's capsule while the other is in battle). For pokemon who must be traded while holding an item, they need only to be holding the item and then achieve a high enough friendship.FRIENDSHIP: Friendship based evolution will remain the same in terms of the basic concept. however, in order to acquire a high enough friendship to evolve in this RP, a player must keep the pokemon in question within their active party for at least 9 months. INFLUENCE OF ANOTHER POKEMON (LEVELING UP WHILE HAVING A CERTAIN POKEMON IN THE PARTY): This requirement will remain entirely unchanged for Pokemon who evolve via it. Regarding moves As has already been stated in the rules of the OP, in this RP, pokemon are not limited to a four move learn set. Instead, they are quite literally able to use any move in their arsenal at any time during battle or in the field, so long as the move is learn-able to them either by Level up, or a direct egg move from breeding (Don't go crazy on the egg moves though, or else I'll take those away), or if it can be justified for the Pokemon to know a certain move despite it not being capable of under regular mechanics ((EX: like a Beldum being able to learn Thunder Shock or Metal Claw. even though both of these are technically impossible for a Beldum to have legally in a pokemon game, it can easily be justified as Beldum moves around via Electromagnetic waves that it generates, which are closely related to electricity from a physics stand point. And have you seen the bottom part of it? it's literally just a three metal claws poking out of it's bottom part...)) What this means is that there are no "Known Moves" sets here. In battle, raw strategy alongside strength will be more important in who comes out on top, rather than coverage moves being known or who has the better known move set on their mon. I keep a close on things however. I expect common sense to be used; if you justify a move, it has to make sense at the pokemon's level of development; for example, don't go giving a newborn Charmander the ability to instantly know how to use a Flame Burst attack when it hasn't even figured out how to shoot off a decent Ember. Regarding the meaning of "Alpha Status Confirmed" In nature, there are Alpha males in the majority of species, most notably visible in pack animals such as Wolves. These "Alphas" were essentially the top dogs of their territory and their pack, the strongest and as a result, also the de facto leader and defender of the group. the other members would defer to them, not question their lead, though from time to time it wasn't uncommon for one upstart to attempt to challenge the Alpha's authority and take the position for themselves. sometimes these rebels succeeded. sometimes they failed miserably and even died from their mistake. The concept of an "Alpha male" or an "Alpha Female" did not die in the animal world following the outbreak that changed however. on the contrary, it only made it more obvious who the strongest was. "Alpha Individuals" exists within every single species of GAO, regardless of what type they are, every one has them. and like things worked before, Alpha's are more or less the strongest member or among the strongest member of their kind. This superiority over their peers of their species is clear in the fact that every Alpha has a natural permanent boost of all their Base Stats by 10%. Throughout the story, their will be several major characters who will happen to wield at least one Alpha in their parties, such as Surge himself or Erick Freeman or General McCarthy, or even the dreaded Enyo Greyjoy with her sea serpent. Being born a Genetic alpha is not the only way to obtain the status however. through extensive strengthening and proving one's own power, it is actually possible to become an Alpha for one's own GAOs and receive the 10% boost in Base Stats marking one as such. There are three ways a regular GAO can become an Alpha: 1. Accomplishing great feats in combat repeatedly, what this would entail is taking part in and surviving (IE, they weren't dead or knocked out by the end) multiple boss fights. 2. Single-handedly defeating a member of their own species which already holds Alpha Status either through birth or through obtaining it themselves. In this scenario, a switch in position will occur, with the challenger taking over the alpha status if they won, and the former Alpha losing their stat boost until they regain it again through one of these three listed methods. 3. Reaching level 100. upon reaching level 100 in this RP, a pokemon will automatically gain Alpha Status if it does not hold it already; because only the strong ever survive long enough to make it that far in terms of life span. Concerning Types Yes, that's right, nothing is safe from our analysis. We use our own type matchup system here, which has been reveiwed by everyone in this RP and is an ogoing collaborative effort to create and improve. Bug So looking through the bug typing I noticed something unique about just about all of them. The bug typing is incredibly agile. Of course there are exceptions such as forretress and shuckle, but as a whole the bugs (just like their real life compatriots) are difficult to squash. Now their biology will also play a role for them. Bugs as we all are aware have an exoskeleton rather than an endoskeleton. While we can imagine this making them more 'squishy' we can also imagine this making them physically stronger. Then we have the moth/butterfly pokemon. These generally rely on unique powders and tricky attacks. This gives us a nice distribution on what a bug can do, most are agile but incredibly susceptible to strong attacks (with notable exceptions such as Shuckle and Forretress), while on offense they can either play hard hitter or play the role of spore carrier. Now onto the type effectiveness. I'm going to sort things by Always Super effective, Generally Super Effective, Generally Neutral, Generally Not very effective, Always not very effective, Sometimes Immune, Always Immune. Something like Always Super Effective would be something that I'd imagine the biology of the type to be weak against, whereas something like Situationally Super Effective would be a nice match up in general strategy (something like the 'dark vs fighting' match up.) I'll also be sure to provide reasons and examples for each of my listings, though if something is 'Generally Neutral' I won't include it to save time. When attacking Bug: Always Super Effective: -Fire (It's easy to imagine a bug as flammable) -Poison (like Surge said bugs are highly damaged by pesticides) Generally Super Effective: -Rock (Rock's may be capable of squishing bugs, but they have to be hit by said rock first, a bug's elusive nature should be capable of annoying a rock type for a decent period of time.), -Flying (As an element air isn't a natural enemy of bugs, however many birds hunt bugs so I feel as though it works here) -Fighting (Similar to the rock type a fist may be able to squash a bug, but it'll have to hit it first.) Generally Not very Effective: -Fairy (Cutesy things generally don't like bugs.) Always Not very Effective: -Grass (Bugs eat plants, simple) -Psychic (You can't easily concentrate against something you fear, and if you lack concentration, your attack's not going to be very good) No Effect: -None When Bug attacks:Always Super Effective: -None Generally Super Effective: -Grass (Bugs eat plants, simple) -Psychic (I like the idea that Psychic is weak to common fears, if a bug can't break your concentration I'm not sure what can) -Fairy (Again the lovable cute mons have a fear of our icky bugs.) Generally Not Very Effective: -Fire (It'd be difficult for a bug to actually make contact with a fire type) -Poison (Poison types would also weaken a bug far too much for them to make contact and since they are already diseased would not feel adverse effects from spores) Always Not Very Effective: -Steel (Bugs don't break steel, non-organics don't feel the effects of spores) -Rock (Bugs don't break rocks either) Immunities: -None Dark Organisms of this type generate strange Electromagnetic Fields around their bodies capable of distorting, bending, and even breaking the waves of the visible light spectrum. These fields are also capable of disrupting numerous other energies for some reason yet to be deduced by Bexly Researchers, resulting in some...very odd things, such as being able to munch down on a rock as if it were flesh...They also seem to rely just as much on inducing the emotions of Apathy, Depression, and Grief in the minds of their targets, and seem able to even harness these Psychological manifestations as energy... When Attacking Dark: Always Super Effective: -Photic ((Fairy)) (Because of their Photic Nature, the energy fields they generate will be able to counteract those of dark types, and also vica-versa. in a fight between the two, it'll be a complete powder keg.) Generally Super Effective: -Fire (Fire always Generates a considerable amount of light, but it is going to need to be a high amount in order to overcome the aphotic field Dark Types Generate. IE, gonna need a lot of it.) -Electric (Same exact reasoning as Fire) Generally Not Effective: -Fighting (You can't easily hit what you can not first see/ locate with your eyes, now can you? but their will be some cases, like with a Lucario's aura sphere, in which this will be a very different story.) Always Not Effective: -Psychic -Ghost Immunities: -None When Dark Attacks: Always Super Effective: -Photic (For reason stated above, they'll collide and both be highly destructive to the other.) -Psychic -Ghost -Grass Generally Super Effective: -None Generally Not Effective: -Fire (Reason stated above) -Electric (Reason stated above) Always Not Effective: -None Dragon They're exactly what they sound like, minus the fire breathing and everything. These GAOs are essentially just giant reptiles that sprouted wings- though there is one highly notable thing about them though; they commonly have scales hard as steel and claws to match... and their strength is immense in some cases, as is their speed. When Attacking Dragon: Always Super Effective: -Dragon ((This can go in either ASE or GSE. Dinosuars had a tendency to rip each other apart if they trespassed on each other's turf, and so do dragons...)) -Ice ((They're giant freaking lizards, when things get too cold, they go bye-bye real quick just like any other reptile, either heading for warmer places or dying from the chill in their environment)) Generally Super Effective: -None Generally Not Effective: -Fire ((Lizards have to sun themselves in order to raise their body heat... Dragons are just lizards on illegal steroids, so it's not to far fetched to think their natural tolerance to heat would be quite heightened, thus limiting the overall effectiveness of fire types)) Always Not Effective: -None Immunities: -None When Dragon Attacks: Always Super Effective: -Dragon ((See above)) Generally Super Effective: -None Generally Not Effective: -None Always Not Effective: -None So uh... yeah.... here's the thing, I made this list from a purely biology standpoint, going on the core facts that: Dragons are reptiles Certain ones, like Dragonite for example, are capable of breathing fire and such through the side effects of their "Bird" Digestion ((Go find it, I've already posted the excerpt from the article I found.)) They're basically just dinosaurs, to be honest, with wings attached to some of their backs... I've cropped every single "Fantasy" aspect they had, what with all the mystical elemental stuff and whatnot. So as you can deduce from all this above, when you take away their mystical traits... Dragons become kinda mundane, almost like blank slates, only having two weaknesses and one resistance which can even remotely be biologically justified. Sure, I could've thrown in Steel as being resistant to it, but all that crap about how knights killed dragons with just a few swings of their swords and that kind of BS? yeah, that's fantasy buddy, not allowed for our analysis, gotta go. And chances are a dragon would realistically be strong enough to get through steel anyway... Electric These organisms are equip with organs capable of allowing them to generate a static charge strong enough to be discharged as a natural defense mechanism, generally suited for ranged combat. Because of these same organs, they are also possed of a naturally high resistance to other electrical currents- as well as from time to time interfering with certain electronics thanks to the magnetic field their power generates ((though this field is quite weak compared to Dark or Photic Affinity GAOs)) Attacking Other Types: Always Super Effective: -Flying ((Birds don't like flying in Thunderstorms because of the fact that the higher up something is, the more inviting of a target it becomes for a Lightning Strike. It's also why Planes get routed around thunderstorms, Rockets aren't launched during Thunderstorms, and so on.)) Generally Super Effective: -Water ((Pure H2O isn't a Conductor, but a Saline Solution is.)) -Dark ((We already agreed on this, look at the Post concerning Dark Types for an explanation.)) Effectiveness Dependent on Situation: -Steel ((This one's a bit complicated, but see Posts #949-956 in this thread for more details. [look on Page 48 for the Posts.])) Generally Not Effective: -Photic Always Not Effective: -Electric ((It's completely logical for something to be resistant to itself, with Dragon being a notable exception.)) No Effect: -Ground ((Ground is not only a good Electrical Insulator, but in Techno-speak, the Ground Wire is the Wire through which Electricity leaves a Circuit.)) Attacking Electric Types: Always Super Effective: -Ground ((See Above)) Generally Super Effective: -None Effectiveness Dependent on Situation: -Steel ((See Above)) Generally Not Effective: -Dark ((See Above)) -Photic Always Not Effective: -Electric ((See Above)) Immune: -None Photic ((In this RP, the Fairy type has been renamed to Photic)) The complete and utter opposites of dark types, the electro-magnetic fields they generate allow them to manipulate the waves of the light spectrum as they please just as those generated by Dark GAOs does. Unlike dark types, however, these organisms' fields seem to be more suited for harnessing light in various ways rather than simply disrupting it and other energy fields, an example of which being that many of them are more than capable of condensing light into a destructive burst, among other things... such as the generation of heat from focusing the energy into said burst and beams... When Attacking Photic: Always Super Effective: - Dark Generally Super Effective: -None Generally Not Effective: -Fighting ((Bitch, please- how you gonna punch what you can't even see because you're blinded?)) Always Not Effective: -Fire ((Fire gives off a lot of light... which can be used to the enemies advantage...but there is still a heat factor to consider)) -Electric ((Same reasoning as fire... plus it's... shocking)) Immunities: -Photic ((Soldiers, I will tell you this from first hand experience, two Photics going at it are honestly just going to be sitting there going back and forth all day, firing off blasts and absorbing the one sent at them to redirect it into a counter attack, and we're gonna find ourselves in a virtually perpetual loop because even if one happens to be slow once and let a blast hit, the subconscious and base instinct of the creature is gonna kick in and redirect the energy to protect from harm... it would be pointless)) When Photic Attacks: Always Super Effective: -Dark ((Nuclear opposites)) Generally Super Effective: -Steel ((Strong enough light can be enough to burn matter...lasers, anyone?)) -Rock ((Same as above)) -Ice ((See top)) -Bug ((See top)) Generally Not Effective: -Grass ((Ever hear of photosynthesis? though, strong enough light can burn...)) -Fire ((Both fire and electric cast off quite a lot of heat and light...)) -Electric ((Same as above)) -Water Always Not Effective: -None Immune: -Photic ((See previous reasoning)) Fighting Fire Flying Ghost hese Organisms still pose a large difficulty to scientist trying to find an explanation for their existence, but the best theory that has come about is that they are Spectors in a way, collective conscious minds that lack a body which is incapable of manifesting itself in a physical, tangible state, and therefore must combine together and opt to elect a new, non physical state in which to exist. They are capable of feats long associated to Apparitions and ghost and other entities of the paranormal, and seem to rely on inducing feelings of Fear, Anger, and Malice in the minds of the targets of their attacks and then exploiting those emotions, even being able to harness these emotions as energy... If there's any type that has thrown the eons old debate about religion into an absolute fire storm, it's these right here... Grass Ground Ice Normal Poison Psychic Organisms of this type are marked by their highly increased Brain Capacity compared to even humans, as well as their Psychokinetic capabilities stemming from this brain capacity. The Majority of them are capable of things previously thought impossible such as teleportation, as well as Telepathy with other sentient beings. Many of them are as smart, if not even smarter, than the greatest Human Geniuses ever known by leaps and bounds.Thier abilities require a hefty amount of concentration and focus in order to pull off effectively. No secret is ever truly safe around them. Rock Steel Edited February 13, 2015 by Surge
Flux
Char. Name: Lars Kaiser Char. Age: 18 Starting partners: Nidoran M (Dominance), Abra M (Sleepy) Personality: Consistently bored, Lars spends a lot of time outside in nature. He constantly jokes around, never taking anything too seriously. While carefree and laidback, he can be quite stubborn about seemingly meaningless things. He has a dislike for authority, considering himself a free spirit. Upon hearing of military experiments, his curiosity is peaked and he decides to see what it's all about. Appearance: Mid-length bright white hair, fair-skinned, stands about 5' 10", wears a long black coat with neon blue trim. His dull gray eyes reflect his constant boredom, and he carries around a necklace with a crack in the center of its gem. Home state/town: WI Pic (optional): Just a quick sketch I drew before. It was originally the inspiration for Aervana, but he won't be until the sequel if we ever make it that far, so I'll just use him here. (Sorry for the smudges, I don't have a tablet...) Other/ additional details: To be determined... Now some questions: Are we going to be allowed to use any move a Pokemon has in its arsenal? (Tutor moves, egg moves, move reminder moves, etc.) Are we supposed to have met our starting two Pokemon already, will they be given to us, or will we find them in-character? Arkhi
I'm liking the sound of this. Char. Name: Adam "Keaton" MacMillan Char. Age: 18 Starting partners: Sandshrew (Female, named Strider)/ Vulpix (Male, named Sheriff) Personality: Keaton is a humble person. He doesn't say much, but he does speak often (he speaks commonly, but doesn't say much when he does). He grew up learning to respect others, and to turn the other cheek if someone needs to lash out. Despite this, he often struggles to be selfless and is indecisive. Keaton wants people to put trust in him, so that he can show his usefulness to people. He enjoys being involved, simply because the more experiences he is in, the more he learns about people. Appearance: Keaton wears a gray fedora at all times. To compliment this, he wears a simple gray button-down long-sleeve shirt over his white T-shirt. He also wears simple blue jeans and black tennis shoes. His black hair peeks at the edges of the hat and his eyes are brown. Home state/town: Dodge City, KS (Southwest Kansas) Other/ additional details: As you could tell from all the other info, Adam MacMillan prefers the name Keaton, partly because he had a grandfather who passed away from the infection by the same name. He does so half out of respect and half because he likes the name.

Lars sounds like he'll be an... interesting member on the Squadron. Congratulations, You have been accepted to become an "Elite warrior of tomorrow" as for your first question, Let's try to keep the move arsenals to a minimum until chapter 2. seeing as I'd like to use chapter one for getting all of the characters military trained and oriented with their pokemon. But once that's done, Yes, you will eventually be able to use any move in it's arsenal however you so please. as for question 2, I put this under the header "Conditions of the RP" in the topic post, but I'll clarify. When everyone introduces their character for the first time, you will in a sense, still be an ordinary joe. SO yes, you will have yet to receive your pokemon yet, as Dr.Ray and Prof.Oak will distribute them to (according to what you put down as your partners of course) shortly after all the intros are in order. Chevaleresse
Is it alright if my character is a scientist who is helping to research (and possibly create) new Pokemon? If so, here he is Char. Name: Sarcus Flint Char. Age: 28 Starting partners: Eevee, Chansey Personality: Friendly, though can seem somewhat cold due to his analytical nature. A bit naive. Tends to become overly invested in whatever task he is presented with. Excellent focus, to the point where he doesn't really notice anything other than his object of interest. Eager and somewhat excitable. Typically rather docile, but can be pushed to the breaking point with disastrous results. Appearance: Typically wears a sanitary lab coat. Long blonde hair that isn't pulled back unless it needs to be. Somewhat angular features. Lanky and not particularly physically powerful. Home state/town: Massachusetts Other/ additional details: High amount of expertise in genetics and computer systems, hence his job. If not, here's a pilot instead. Char. Name: Airman First Class (A1C) Nathan Gray Char. Age: 25 Starting partners: Charmander, Dratini Personality: Hot-headed and a bit irritable. A bit of a know-it-all. Strong sense of morality. Friendly towards those who have earned his respect. Over-energetic. Appearance: Bright red hair, slightly above average height, physically fit. Hair is cropped in keeping with Air Force standards. Home state/town: MN Other/ additional details: Was grounded at one point for insubordination. Excellent pilot. This alright?
Arkhi
The only issue that I can see is that someone else has an Eevee. Though, it can evolve into something else.Another good Pokemon for Sarcus could be Porygon, because he's trying to create new ones.
Chevaleresse
Also, just realized someone else has Charmander already. Are duplicates allowed? Charizard was picked because he fits the character (Chaotic Good and Fire/Flying go together pretty well.)

Chevaleresse
By the way, if you're going to be an officer of any kind (or do anything other than be a footsoldier), it's a little unrealistic to be 18, since you have to go through several years of schooling and training to get into those positions -varying with position of course- and the only eighteen-year-old soldiers went there straight out of high school. RP host decides, though. If we're being recruited from among the civilian populace (in which case I'll need to change one of my characters) it would be different. Ojama Yellow
Well, I first thought to stick with only two RP's, buuuuuuut... I changed my mind, so... Char. Name: Lionel Carter Char. Age: 21 Starting partners: Slowpoke (Buddy, M), Bulbasaur (Billy, M) Personality: He will always be loyal to his superiors. Believes he's just a supporter of the others and isn't really necessary in the army. Appearance: Skinny and small. His height is 5' 6" and his weight 123 pounds. Brown hair and eyes. Sutoratosu
I'm going to have to veto the Scientist request right now, But the pilot, Nathan, Is accepted; Though his particular backstory as to him getting on the squad will be more like Sergeant Surge's: He was approached by his superiors one day and reassigned to a Classified post. The only issue that I can see is that someone else has an Eevee. Though, it can evolve into something else. Another good Pokemon for Sarcus could be Porygon, because he's trying to create new ones. Originally, I was going to have a 3 pokemon of one species clause, seeing as how I at first only included the first three gens, limiting the selection, however, There will be a two pokemon of one species clause now, and they must be in breeding pairs (one male, one female) Also, just realized someone else has Charmander already. Are duplicates allowed? Charizard was picked because he fits the character (Chaotic Good and Fire/Flying go together pretty well.) Yes you can have Charmander. Char. Name: Jory Robertson Char. Age: 22 Starting partners: Caesar (Tauros, M), Nefertiti (Nidoran, F) Personality: Intelligent, but does not follow through often. Dislikes conflict and often jokes about things inappropriately in an attempt to lighten the mood. Very compassionate, but can be a bit of a doormat due to his desire to please others. Appearance: Brown hair, turquoise eyes. 5'8", 145 pounds. Lean and muscular. Likes to wear zip-up hoodies with t-shirts and jeans along with a pair of boots. Home state/town: Long Island, NY Why, hello Jory. Welcome to the squadron. I see the issue with this. Here's a basic rundown as to how it will go with the Squad. Also yes, you are being recruited from the Civilian populace. Surge(Rank: Staff Sergeant, technically) and his second in command(check the topic post, as Sergeant Tucker has been added) are the only ones in the assembly with any actual authority within or without the Group. The rest of the members will be brought in and trained as cadets for about two years in several matters and skills, including leadership and basic group & individual psychology.(in the story's time of course, the period for this will be over at the end of chapter one). plus, let's face it As this is nearly 60 years in the future we're talking about, I think it only appropriate that the Teaching/ Education methods will be far more effective and accedemic standards have advanced far pass today's near mediocre standards (If you want to know more of the concept im trying to get at, read a novel like Ender's Game) so yeah, no more mediocrity and failure to mold young minds in the schooling system (I'm lookin at you inner city schools) in America, the education system will have done a complete turn around, becoming one of the top for the first time. High school will be entered and graduated at earlier ages (Ex. 12/13 on entry, 16/17 on exit) and some who truly prove to be gifted may even only attend half the regular time in high school, then enter collage at an early age (Ex.Dr.Ray entered collage at age 14) anyways back on topic, After the two year training period is over, The Cadets will then Go on to become a new category of soldier, officially called a G.A.O.W. (Genetically Altered Organism Wielder), (and don't be gettin upity bout this, cause I never said you were the only group of this type) and promoted to the Rank of Private (or higher, if they show appropriate merit befitting a higher rank.) This will be a classified project in the beginning, only known about by the Scientist working with them and the very top levels in the Armed Services and the Government, so how much authority/ high rank a PC has won't even matter much, that'll come later. Any Authority/ Promotions gained by the PCs will be almost entirely dependent on their actions following Chap1, when the war breaks out in Chapter 2 and is fought from then onwards. In a nutshell, this is all just one big military experiment (?spuorg tset elpitlum) to test the combat Prowess of the newly formed Organisms (pokemon) that arose from the Virus. The only reason that the military even resorted to selecting the members from the civilian populace was because... Well, it takes a certain type of person, certain personalities and mentalities, to command the loyalty of these creatures, as the military already found out the hard way before beginning the propaganda campaign, Let's just say very few such people could be found already within the Armed forces, Thus, we have the private sector selection. Also @ Bibarel, sorry I missed you, You have been Accepted. this brings the tally up to about... Seven people. Just about Enough to start. Chapter one will begin soon. Flux
they are allowed, as again, Little is known of pokemon at this point, Especially the true extent of their power. (This isn't exactly the post I wanted to quote, but I couldn't find the one where you said something about levels. This one also deals with my point, though.) So we're using a level system? I honestly feel like for almost any Pokemon-related RP, a realistic system works better. The same goes for abilities. It's almost like you have to combine all a pokemon's potential abilities into one, or at least only pick certain ones for it to make any sense because some abilities don't work well in an RP setting. Sheer Force on Nidoking, for example, would be very difficult to portray in an RP. However, Poison Point and Rivalry would be easier to convey. The same goes for Pokemon like Aggron. In an RP setting, Rock Head and Heavy Metal seem like things Aggron would naturally just have. You wouldn't expect him to get hurt from a Head Smash when his head is made of steel, and you'd expect him to be really heavy. And again, things like Sturdy would be slightly harder to show. Tl;dr I don't think a leveling system works well for Rps (If that is what we're doing), and maybe Pokemon should have all their potential abilities? (If it makes sense) Otherwise only abilities that make sense. Hopefully this makes some sort of sense. I'm looking forward to this whether these affect your opinion or not, though. Yes, we are using a leveling system, however, it will be for more realistic than an ordinary one. you see, in this RP, Pokemon give off a constant amount of energy. the exact source of the energy is unknown, but never the less, a way to measure it exist. a little something devised by Dr.ray. during the RP, you will be given a certain device that is capable of reading the amount of this energy being given off by a Pokemon, which will then report the findings back in terms of levels. The amount of energy given off does not vary based on species, but rather on the age of the creature as well as it's conditioning (Ex. Battling) with one being the lowest possible level found to be given off, and one hundred as the highest possible level found. (Conditioning trumps age in this system. a Pokemon not even two years old could reach level 90 if trained hard enough.) (Ex. a new born Pokemon will barely give any energy off it's body, rendering it at a power lvl. of 1. However, a pokemon of considerable age and conditioning will give off far more energy, rendering a power level of something like 60-100) as for abilities, I should've ellaborated when I answered the question about Hidden abilities, so i'll make up for it by doing that here: Hidden abilities are allowed, so long as they make sense for a pokemon to have it (Ex. a Garchomp with the hidden ability of Rough skin) this goes for all other abilities as well.(Ex. The hidden ability of Justified really can't be... well, justified on an arcanine, so it wouldn't be usable, however, the regular ability of intimidate is, so it would still be available) Also Flux, yes, a last name is needed, as a confidentiality agreement is a legally binding document IRL, and you would be required to use full name if you were to sign one (If you have trouble thinking of one, just google surnames, and choose some random one) Edited April 1, 2014 by Legendaries tamer

Flux
Erick stared down at the screen, reading the contract over to ensure he wasn't missing anything. I will do what it takes to find that thing. Maddie
Char. Name: Enyo GreyjoyChar. Age: 20Starting partners: Zubat (Bandit, male), Rhyhorn (Cardinal, male)Personality: A temperamental and unpredictable young, Enyo is not a team player. She often comes up as somewhat arrogant and cold, and usually judges people based on their appearance. Although smart, she would rather tackle a problem head on than coming up with a more effective strategy, and so she often finds herself in troublesome situations. Very strong psychologically, it’s quite difficult to affect her, which can be vital in the battle ground. Appearance: Enyo has long dark hair and brown eyes flecked with green. Her jaw definition and olive colored skin gives her an exotic look, making her stand in a crowd. She’s physically in a good shape, and stands around 5’5” feet tall.Home state/town: Charleston, South CarolinaOther/ additional details: - btw, english is not my native language, so I apologize in advance for any poor grammar/sentence construction.
