yeah, being in the camp for a while seems logical enough to be able to identify which pokes are common. maybe we'll be given a pokedex? and hell naw im not catching a pidgey with my remaining pokeball.

To be completely honest, I considered catching a Rattata at some point. Not even kidding.

It would make sense for you all to know what some of the more common species in the forest are, as you would've seen them on multiple occasions over the last few months.

A jigglypuf for Clint is fine by the way, Supernovae.

and Kenny, no, General McCarthy already reprimanded Surge and Ray for their gambling, so there's no reason for Clemont to be involved in the matter.

EDIT: oh...wait, nevermind, Kenny. I thought you were talking about the gambling from earlier in chapter one. (Just to clarify, Clemont is far smarter than any human. he has ways of finding out shit without anyone saying anything at all to him, he already knows that Clint is starting a pool)

but in this case, it's a pool rather than a flat out bet. so it's more like a competition really, one with a cash prize for the winner, the only differece being that everyone participating in it put up a portion of the reward cash....

so I think that your superiors would actually just look the other way. and so will Clemont.

Here's a few Geographic pointers for those who may need it...

most of you will have to walk through a lot of underbrush to find what you're looking for... not really a lot of trails in this forest.

MURDOC;

Thick Thorn bushes tend to grow in the northern half of the forest.
(The get north, head Right off the dirt road.)

TYPHLOSION: (In case you decide to get a Croagunk)

there is a lake in the south-western corner of the Forest

(To get south, head left off the dirt road)

FLUX:

The terrain of the forest will get rougher and more mountainous (rising in elavation) the further to the north western you travel. eventually, the trees will begin to thin out and you'll find youself at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.( you don't have to go that far however) there's a series of caves dotting the north western parts of the Forest.

There may or may not be a map for the woods. seeing as how now I've pretty much removed the need for it since Clemont will be watching everyone and can teleport them back if they get too lost.

There's no character named "Ethic" in this RP. You mean "Erick"

And I guess we can have it so that he could wander off with Sid and end up with him at the lake. (though right now he doesn't really have anything in mind as to what he's looking to capture.)

Enyo will probably be around the area too.

as for the dragon scale... sure, you can find it lying on the shore or something. but remember, you still have an entire evolution before your Horsea can become eligible to become a Kingdra...

What's the deal with Wild Battles? who controls the Wild GAO?

in this RP, You all will for the most part control the wild pokemon your characters encounter. this leads to less work for me.

that said though, there might be cases from time to time when I throw stuff at one of you in the story invovling a Wild GAO. if that happens, and when it does, you'll know because I will have been the one to initiate the encounter, then I'll be the one controling it as the GAO would then fall into the NPC category instead of the random entity category

and as a note, By "Common Species" I mean species you would typically see early on in any of the games (FR/LG, G/S, R/S/E, D/P, B/W). and by "Early on" I mean during the time between you starting the adventure and you obtaining your first gym badge.

so things like Mankey and Pidgey and Tailow and Wurmple and Slackoff and Kricketot and Pidove and...

well the list could go on. you get what I mean

Riolu can learn Circle Throw as an Egg Move, so that's why Ryu knows it.

Emolga can learn Tickle as an Egg Move, so that's why the Emolga knows it.

Kenny will wait until he gets back to Fort Bexly to name his new GAO, seeing as he wants to make sure he gives it a Gender-Appropriate name. (He'll discover that it's a Female.) This'll give him time to think about the Name.

That Karp...is not like others of it's species... (It's more intelligent than the average magickarp and also far more agressive... in other words, it's pretty much an Alpha Male)

Enyo will find quite the challenge when it evolves into a Gyarados... all hell may break loose

For now... let's just say it will make Absinthe's defiant nature look like nothing in comparison...

Before he could move another inch, however, the Fish leapt up in the air higher than he was tall, a sphere of dark blue, crackling energy firing from it's mouth, heading right for him.

((And yes, that was a Dragon Rage Magickarp he captured. and yes, it is capable of knowing the move, but only through an event distribution that happened a few years back.))
