Eurgh. I figured I would go for a mono-Flying team (because I accidentally did it already intending to go for dragons) and noticed I had one poke from each of the first 3 generations. I want a Swellow next but it would break the pattern T-T

Not really sure if they already have potions, but I figured experimenting with berries and making a spray of them might make sense. If not I'll edit that part out.

They don't officially have "potions" yet, but the juice of restorative Berries put into an aerosol-form is basically all that the "Spray-Type wound machines" Concept is anyway, so it's fine.

oh dear...

Clint's gonna get #Rekt...

I'm starting to sense something about him: he's like the strong guy who always has bad luck because he challenges Fate.

Well Clint's not gonna get wrecked, but poor, poor Pimparella, :(.

And you know I've never really thought of Clint like that, but that's really the way I've been RPing him this chapter isn't it? In the first chapter he was more or less a punk from the street, but now he's becoming more of an upstanding character, while Sid's taking full control of the thug role in the group. Clint still has a wild streak and is still a bit of a trash talker, but overall he's more headstrong than anything at this point.

And by the way Jory and Kenny make a lot of sense as a team. They have a lot of similarities in there personalities. I think that Beedrill incident may be the beginning of a very powerful friendship.

not only that, but Jory and Kenny have Teams that synergize really well. I can definitely say that those two will really be quite the duo once they get out in the field together.

yeah, it's safe to say that everyone (Well, mostly everyone) has changed significantly in the past six months of the story. (Which is good, because there was no way in hell that crop of wimps from chapter one was gonna survive heated combat)

take Erick for example: in chapter one, he was a bit of a boy-scout who had the tendency to flaunt his knowledge of military procedure, as well as try to put himself in the lead of the group because of this. back then he also tended to try to avoid personal conflict and also tried to prevent conflict from erupting in his surroundings, and had the habit of being a bit soft on his partners.

Now, he's become a far more temperamental version of himself, not really caring about being the leader anymore, just so long as some who is competent holds the position. he even often times mentally challenges Surge's authority (Like in the atrium at the end of the Articuno fight.) however he's smart enough to know not to blatantly voice these challenges and instead finds a way to make a direct, subtle challenge that won't get him reprimanded for verbal misconduct/ the disrespect of a superior officer. he's gotten to be less lenient and more strict with his team, making sure that every GAO he commands knows who is the dominant force in the interaction. along with this, he's also lost a bit of the patience he used to display when interacting with Genisa, and is able to become annoyed with her far more easily and quickly now.

His verbal filter has also diminished a little from what it once was, and he can at times be brutally blunt and say harsh things without really meaning to.

all in all, he means business nowadays. the nice Erick you all knew from six months ago had become a bit more serious as he's been pursuing his personal goal to avenge his old man. and he won't stop until he wears Raikou's pelt like Hercules did with the Nemerian Lion.

Heck, another example is Ray and Surge. separately, the two haven't really changed much, but as a pair, they're relationship has improved somewhat, with each having developed a somewhat grudging respect for the other now. as You've noticed, they've yet to try to tear each other's throats out in this chapter, and their raw animosity/ lack of respect towards each other has more or less become a rivalry of sorts. (To make it clear, yes, those two did not like each other at all in the beginning. they both got a bad impression of the other the first time they met, and it kinda just went from there for a while.)

Erick and DITS seem to be doing well... but Romulus is about to open up a can of whoop-ass with a nasty combo...

EDIT:

I'm currently debating whether I should get the war started in the next chapter, or have a "War Games" scenario instead (War Games referring to a military exercise in this case) I think by putting the actual war off till chapter 4 and using chapter 3 instead for a War Game taking place in about a month or two ahead of the current story time will allow for us to ease into the rising geo-political conflict instead of having to pretty much make a jump from the way things are now, when the international suspicions are just starting to arise. in other words, if we have a "War Game" than the plot will probably look a lot better in the end.

(Here's the link for those who don't know about "War Games": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_exercise )

But I'll let you all decide in this Straw poll:

http://www.strawpoll.me/2329734

go on and cast your votes.

Just a few details for the War Game:

-It will most likely be an base-wide exercise taking place in the Bexley forest/ Rocky Mountains as well as in a town near the base that was abandoned in the late sixties. these settings will prepare GAOWs to fight in both urban and wilderness environments. the games will probably last for several days you would be sleeping on site and have to procure your own food for you and your squad mates (Though Co-operating with other squads would be encouraged.) your enemies in the fight will be Dittos transformed to look like foreign, hostile soldiers. (They would be controlled by commanding officers with a certain device that has already made it's debut in the story.)

Welp, I voted. I'm thinking of making one more post of Lars doing something, though I'm not sure what yet. Maybe he'll just head back and lazy around with his GAOs for awhile.

Tier 3 it was no where near as potentially life endangering as it could've been.

And about how you ended that last post...

She was clearly badly injured and would no longer be able to fight. Suddenly, she turned her stinger on herself, repeatedly stabbing at her own abdomen until she stopped moving.

Yeah... about that whole "Queen bee committing suicide" concept, I'm going to have to veto that and ask you to change it so that either Oliver's acrobatics attack killed it or either you or Kenny finished it off with a rock to the skull or something.

It's for Authenticity reasons, really. Pokemon are for the most part based off of animals and nature. The Pokemon in this RP are the mutated forms of what was once the Flora and fauna of the Earth's biosphere. now, in every animal, there is a survival instinct, some form of self-preservation in the depths of their minds that aid them in their existence. In a sense, every animal has the unwavering will to continue living.

This Survival instinct is still intact in these mutated animals known as "Pokemon", ergo, if cornered, forced to fight, and then severely wounded, they will still try to act in a way that increases the odds of them surviving the situation. so yeah, the Vespiqueen offing itself really makes no sense. because of what I've already said, and also because... Do Vespiqueens even have stingers?

so yeah, gonna need you to edit that.

Hang on just a tick. Wasps and hornets are known to commit suicide when they are in extreme pain. I know this because I recently had to use a can of Raid on a group of 1.5" long hornets at the day camp I work at. Each and every one of them chose to kill itself rather than bear that kind of pain. If you still want me to edit it I will, but that's actually scientifically accurate.

Interesting...

Well right now I can find nothing on the web confirming this... but at the same time, I find nothing that denies it being possible.

Alright, whatevs, keep it like it is.

now then... it's time for some Amerindian ghost to appear.
