Touch controls for Joiplay (ex SWM - Mouse mod) [E19.5] (beta)

Hi!
This mod adds mouse support to Pokémon Reborn, originally from Episode 18, now updated for Joiplay’s touch interface.

It’s a massive mod, so occasional bugs or conflicts may arise and are not easy to anticipate.

All feedback is welcome, especially:

  • Bugs or incompatibilities
  • Experimental control bar usefulness outside of map exploration
  • Opinions on the navigation system (I feel that the old "walk to the clicked cell" system worked better than the new "walk in the touched direction" - what do you think?)

Installation

The first time you run it, it will ask for some initialization - just follow the instructions. It's a one-time operation that is needed to fix a few quirks with how Joiplay tracks touch input.

How to use

IMPORTANT!

  • This mod is very complex and very big. Keep multiple backups of your save file!
  • Make sure you disable the Joiplay overlay! Use the arrow at the bottom of the screen to hide it - the overlay prevents touch input from actually reaching the game, making this mod useless.

Besides that, just poke around - most interface elements should now respond to touch or mouse input.

Touching outside of the game area brings up a control bar - it's an experimental feature to replace Joiplay's overlay.

For the moment, when the control bar is visible every other touch input is disabled.

Known bugs

  • The savegame selection submenu is not integrated in the system
  • The selected avatar in the ticket scene at the start of the game does not properly animate
  • The pokemart menu is not fully functional

Compatibility with other mods

I honestly have no idea. It might even be compatible!

Please let me know if you use this with other mods and if it works.
