Which dark type starter should I choose?

Sooo I been struggling a little trying to pick my starter recently, I wanna go w Popplio bc I love Primarina plus its a solid part fairy type, but I feel like I might used the thing alot (plus I wanna give a chance to other fairy type pokemon), but now Im kinda stuck w my starter, I dont wanna go w Blaziken bc I want a Gallade in my team (also I alr use it alot in Reborn) n Im a lil unsure w Cinderace n Rillaboom, sooo I decided to set w a dark type starter since I cant seem to find good dark type mon

 

But now I cant decide between H. Samurott or Incineroar, I dont wanna go w Greninja cuz Idk if itd be too reliable w its bare moveset from what I heard, n Meowscarada isnt in the game yet, a good water type could be nice but I also dont wanna bother w the other fire types (Talonflame is goated in early game but I do wanna look for other fire types), I also wanna know the benefits of the two starters to decide a bit better

 

So ye, lmk if I should pick H. Samurott or Incineroar (or if I should just continue using Primarina)

Incineroar for sure. but honestly just pick a random and have fun with it.

fair enough, usually I usually just go w Primarina or Blaziken but Ill just take ur word n consider it,, thanks btw :D

If you want to choose based on strength, assuming the hidden ability, Hisuian Samurott is good in singles but bad in doubles, and Incineroar is mediocre in singles and one of the the greatest pokemon of all times in doubles. Both are good picks. I'd say that, if you plan on boxing your starter, I'd go with Samurott, because there aren't too many difficult doubles in the early game, otherwise I'd absolutely pick Incineroar.
