Zephyrus the Priestess
Helzebeth coughed. It was a damn heavy blow, given its strength and the fact that she was caught off-guard. Any other thought potentially linked to thinking that she was plain incompetent, she refused to think of and acknowledge. The wince on her face was replaced with a prideful look of scorn, reminiscent of that of an immovable queen's. "Sic 'em." The valiant and, at this point, infuriated wolf chose this time to pounce on the demonic fiend's arm, in a futile attempt to sway the blade to buy his master some time to escape, despite knowing the folly of it all. He knew it-- he was just as stubborn as Helzebeth was, is all.
Raindrop Valkyrie
The Gentleman killed Helzebeth quickly, silting her throat with his sword. He turned to throw the Wolf off of him. Hunter went tumbling off the roof, landing hard on the ground knocking him out. A gold light rose from Helzebeth's chest and traveled quickly into the sky. "My quarrel is not with you Beast." He said as he Jumped off the roof and landed gracefully on the ground. "Who's next? I have forgotten which of you wanted to die now." Chevaleresse
Xavier, after missing his initial attack, was somewhat surprised he was still alive. He had tumbled to the ground, since he had no intention of recovering after his first swing at the seemingly invincible "Gentleman." However, he still had all of the heat he had built up in the previous skirmish. Reaching deep within himself, he drew out all of the power he could. At this point, he could actually feel the flames burning his flesh as they surrounded him, but it didn't matter. Instead of roaring a battle cry with this second charge, he simply thought to himself. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for Pyron is at my side. The bastard sword flashed toward the angelic side of the Gentleman once more, and the templar closed his eyes, not wanting to betray his cowardice at this final moment. Raindrop Valkyrie
"Whoa there boy! You might put somebodies eye out with that." said the Gentleman as he stopped Xavier's blade between 2 fingers, Having dropped his own blade. He slammed Xavier with his massive Shield, knocking him to the ground. "There now we can talk can't we? You got any final words?" snarked the Gentleman. Chevaleresse
Xavier looked calmly into the eyes of his foe. "I have some final thoughts, but none for one such as you to hear." In a last act of defiance, he wreathed a fist in flame and brought it toward the Gentleman's visage using what remained of his power.
Raindrop Valkyrie
"Such a pity, I like hearing what people have to say before I kill them. Kinda like a party game, though a lot bloodier." He said as he dodged the blow. The small blade popped out of his glove once more, as he slit Xavier's Throat deftly. He left the man bleeding out on the ground. The same Gold light left Xavier as with all the others so far, and it quickly raced upwards.
Raindrop Valkyrie
"Ah......no foes left, wonderful. Hastar!!!!!" the Gentleman said. "Y...Y...Yes boss?" Hastar replied, scared of what The Gentleman wanted him for. "Lets get out of here, I have a purging to plan, I will destroy all of these vermin and rid the world of Humans and Demi-humans alike." Hastar already knew this, so all he added was "Of course Boss." Hunter awoke, but there was nothing around, only burned buildings and the ashes of the fallen. He ran around looking for the body of his master, poor Helzebeth. eventually he found her again on the rooftops. The big wolf even though an animal, seemed to cry. He licked her face, the only way he knew how to say goodbye. He lay down next to her crumpled form, it would be a time before he moved again. He had to say goodbye to one of the only friends he had ever had. She had done so much good for him. He wouldn't know how to live without her. Your eyes open upon a strange plane. You are surrounded by pure colour shifting and moving as if they were the sea all around you. It is a beautiful place, and you feel safe. You look around and see every one of your comrades that fought along side you there. You feel somewhat relived, but wonder where in the heck you were, this wasn't the afterlife, so what was it? All of a sudden as if they heard our thoughts, an answer came. A brilliant flash of Gold Light, and a Woman appeared before you. No ordinary Woman however, she was flawlessly beautiful, and seemed to glow with light. She wore a dress that barely hid her graceful form, letting little to the imagination. She had Long flowing Hair of golden blonde that poured down from her head like liquid gold. "Greetings, heros, I am Lumabella, Lady of the Light, do you know why you are here?" Even if you didn't have an answer to that question, one would be dumbstruck. You were talking to the Goddess of Light herself Lumabella....this must have been a special occasion if a Goddess was talking to you directly. Maybe the gods haven't forsaken the world yet. Chevaleresse
Xavier looked about, a mix of emotions running through his mind. Wonder about where he was. Shock at the gruesome and quick deaths of his comrades. Confusion, again about where he was. Disappointment that he hadn't been able to make a true difference before he died. After fully taking in the area, he stood up slowly, feeling about his person, checking to make sure his arms and armor were still there. Once he was fully on his feet, he bowed deeply to the goddess. "I'm afraid I don't, my lady. I must ask; where exactly is. . . here?" If this is the afterlife, should I not be with Pyron?
Raindrop Valkyrie
"This is a plane in-between existence, and the Afterlife. I pulled you all here to save your souls, you faced a foe that you were not yet to face. This however, forevermore seals you 9 together. Your destinies are now intertwined. I can only intervene once, so the next time you meet your fate, I am afraid I can not help you." She said a Solemn look on her face.
Zephyrus the Priestess
"Hunter..?!" came a strangled cry from not too far away. Helzebeth darted around the plane of colors, clearly distressed, seemingly afraid even. For once she seemed to not care how the others would react to her, let alone think of her conduct. The wolf was her only other friend, the only other living being other than Nature herself that she trusted. Moreover, Hunter used to be her father's companion; that given, it was as if she found both a part of her beloved father and a dear friend in him. She whirled around, and as if finally noticing the Deity of Light, she gaped for a few seconds... Before running to the goddess in confusion and agony both, not seeming to feel any of the peace at all. "O, Radiant Goddess! Where is... What is..." The half-elf seemed to choke on her words, her eyes like two grey moons, and her skin seemingly paler even in the golden rays of light. Chim
Sigurd looked around, wondering where he was. He heard the Elf Templar talking to the Goddess. Apparently she was the one responsible for saving them. But despite being a religious man, Sigurd found it hard to believe they weren’t dead. He didn’t care much about the other gods. Of course he had heard about Lumabella, the Goddess of Light, but why would she save him? He didn’t pray to her. “If I’m not dead, I must be dreaming. Or I went completely nuts.” He sighed before falling on his back again. Oh Goddess Aelia, why am I not with you? Aren’t I worthy enough? He wondered while looking at the panicking Ranger. Raindrop Valkyrie
"Hey, I am sure he is alright" said Odin. "If he died I would think he would be here with us." he had kneeled down infront of Helzebeth, he was looking into her eyes. Still looking too Helzebeth he talked to the goddess behind him. "And what of my son Magni? Where is he?" Lumabella looked at the mortals, in front of her, she could feel their pain.... "One named Helzebeth, your Friend Hunter is fine, he is not dead, and is actually mourning your loss as we speak,he is a valiant wolf, don't count him out. and it pains me to say this Odin, Father of Magni. But Magni's soul was destroyed by the Umbral Lance before I could do anything, that lance obliterated his soul so there was nothing left to save." Tears streamed down Odin's face. It was a cruel fate that the day his boy returned to him, he was killed. "My boy....MY BOY!!!" He cried, as the reality sunk in, he lost control of him self, and wept openly into Helzebeth's shoulder. "And Faithful Sigurd, Aelia has not abandoned you. You are not yet to die, that is why you are here. And sorry for reading your thoughts. It is hard not to do this place, as all is lain before me here, as it is part of my domain." said the Flawlessly Beautiful Goddess. Notus
Marcus listened to the Godess dumbfounded. His felt relief for not being that after all for he wouldn't be able to rest in peace being defeated on his very first adventure, knowing his family would despise him even more. He heard the desperate cry of the Ranger, Helzelbeth, and the answer of the Godess of Light. He felt sad about Magni. it just didn't seem right that the valiant dwarf paladin coudn't be here with them. As it seemed like time to explaining things, he adressed his own question to Lumabella. "Why did you bring us here? I mean, sorry if I seem rude, but why would a Godess care about a bunch of ramdom people on a fishing village? And also, who -or what- was that thing we faced there?" You were never supposed to meet him this day, but fate rewrote itself. I cannot tell you much more. just so you are aware, here I am a target for muh more vindictive gods, I am as vulnerable as you were on Graterras, please if anymore of you need something answered speak up, I don't have much more time.". Ragnar
Akuma opens his one eye and notice his vision returned to normal as his trance subsided. He didn't feel the pain nor his battle scars as He stands up to a soothing environment filled with lights and waves of ease. Everything was intact including his hammer on his back it's like waking up from a nightmare. He noticed his fellow fighters is there as well uninjured talking what seems to be a Goddess. Akuma addresses the Goddess as he clenched his bionic fist "Sorry to be rude but is there a way out of here? I have some unfinished business to attend to my Lady" as he remembers what the Gentleman did to him. Zephyrus the Priestess
It took Helzebeth a long moment to register what she'd just learned and heard. One instant she felt relief surge through her soul after a moment of disbelief. Then came the awful revelation of the dwarf-son's fate-- she was sent back into shock again, barely feeling the dwarf-father who'd just tried to console her now practically fall apart, clinging to her for support. Almost mechanically, she pulled the grieving father into an embrace, before, once more, realizing what had happened. Helzebeth could barely think at this point-- she was reeling from all the sudden emotions that she experienced. It was a little too much stimuli for the young lass, who normally bore a nonchalant and stubborn facade. All she could do was to squeeze her eyes shut and hug the poor man tightly, the emotion of sympathy overriding, for the most part and for the time being, any other emotions. Right now her heart went out to this dwarf and disregarded all else.

Jory
Drug'thok looked upon the Lady of Light with awe, his face awash in pure awe. He finally blinked, the death of Magni barely registering as he gained his bearings. This place was... Pure magic.... the sorcerer thought to himself, delighting in the divinity of the plane. He breathed in slowly, still quite unable to believe that he was alive. Eventually, a worm of thought poked its way into his delighted stupor. He did not want to address it. His surroundings were a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I must... he realized, seeking out that small, itching thought in the back of his mind. At last, Magni's death struck him. He did not feel sorrow or regret, but anger. He was just visiting his father, he thought angrily, cursing the ill-fated coincidence. At last, he gathered himself and spoke. "How do we stop him?" Raindrop Valkyrie
"I am sorry good Drug'thok, That I cannot answer, for I have already meddled in the affairs of mortals too much. While I am sure the Elemental gods will not mind, I am sure Bartimis and Mortimer will be angry. They don't like other gods intervening in the Circle of Life. All will be made clear to you soon, go to the capital of The Shadowed isle, Nevermore, some of your answers lie there." she said solemnly. "I really wish I could help you more mortals, being also the goddess of Individuality, urges me to break the rules of the god even further by aiding you, but alas, I cannot, a God cannot fight the a mortal's battle for them or mess in the affairs of Mortals at all. I have already broken one of these rules, I hope you understand why I am hesitant to do it again."
Chevaleresse
Xavier bowed to the goddess again. "I understand. We shall not waste this second chance you've given us. Not having anything else to say, he stepped back and awaited his return to the mortal realm.
Code: PIRULUK
The Elven thief stared at the extremely alluring body of the goddess, extremely impure thoughts inching their way into her mind. She knew she probably needed to ask some questions about fate and humanity and destiny and other such important matters, but all she could focus on was Lumabella's sensuous body. She opened her mouth to speak. "Erm... Er...um... Hi. My name is-" She stopped mid sentence. She couldn't remember her name. She tried thinking harder. No use. She could not remember. What was her name? Why could she not remember? Her knees gave way under her, and a single tear fell from her left eye. Her body trembled. Her voice shook. "WHO AM I?!?!" Raindrop Valkyrie
All of a sudden from nowhere was a crack of Lightning. One of the corners of the realm became an Emerald Green, storming with Lightning of the same colouring, making it almost impossible to see. A Smooth Dulcet Tone voice rang around the space. "I smell you Lumabella, and I will hunt you down for the New Seven, We will replace the Old Nine." Lumabella turned around, seeing the Growing Green Aura getting closer. "We are out of time, I must send you back now, are risk losing you all. A Golden Light started to surround you all. right before you all disappeared, you saw a Giant Emerald Wolf, with the horns of a Bull jump towards Lumabella, as she dissolved into light just like you. The last thing you heard a warning from the Wolf. "You avoid Fulmine for now, but mark my words Lumabella, the Reckoning is coming the old gods will fall for it is foretold by the universe itself." You all wake up in a familiar place, it is the ruins of the Brinestar. Ash lay about everywhere. and most disturbing, your old bodies remained. You all could see your own crumpled forms as the Gentleman left them, it was a glimpse at what you once were, and now was the time to grow. Odin had now managed to pull himself together now, still embracing Helzebeth. "Thank you, Helze. Thank you for helping an Old Man through his loss. But I need to be strong for him, he wouldn't want me to mope about while there were things to be done." with this Odin stood up, he helped Helzebeth up to her feet as well. He patted Her on the shoulder as he looked into her eyes for a moment. The Flame from his ember orange eyes, seemed to light up, as if the forge in his soul regained it's flame. He walked over to where Magni's remains were, mostly just ash. He pulled out a number of small vials in which he placed some of the ashes, and then picked up his son's Hammer. He walked back over to the group, handing them each a vial of the ashes. "Remember him, he is what we fight for in this world. We fight so that Innocents like him need not lose their lives to meaningless violence, that passersby aren't killed just because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. We fight for Graterras, and all of her people, that they may be free of the Evils of this world." with that he went back to stand beside Helzebeth. I hope we can find Hunter for you, I wonder if he has gotten far from here."
Zephyrus the Priestess
Helzebeth merely nodded, and looked down with a sort of softened glance at the dwarf. It was a little bit disconcerting when she realized for the second time in a while that he was, well, about half or less of her height-- for one of a short stature, he had quite a presence and a heart that made up for it. It also surprised her that a dwarf could come to trust even a half-elf like her so easily, especially with part of his son's ashes. But that aside, yes, Hunter... She looked around. Wasn't I standing on a high place... with a tower of some sort...? Edited April 21, 2014 by ZephyrEnyalios
