Professor Layton: Pokemon Master
winning wall Porygon2 (M/F) @ Evolution stone Trait: trace EVs: 252 HP / 216 Defense / 40 SpDef Bold Nature - thunder bolt / charge beam - ice beam - recover - toxic / thunder wave Porygon2 can become a big duck shaped problem to your opponent thanks to the evo stone. raising its defenses to levels that make ohkos impossible without the assistance of swords dance or nasty plot. use thunder polt if you feel the potential for paralysis outweighs the increased damage potential and toxic anything that you know you can out recover. trace is a key ability to this build since it makes it a great way to combat pokemon with mischievous heart. and if you can survive with it itll make porygon that much harder to kill as you recover well before your opponent can lay a hand on you. -- I love this set, but 252 Def / 252 SpDef on Porygon2 isn't the best EV choice because tanks like Pory want HP. There's multiple choices that reflect whether you want your Porygon2 to be super bulky or to have a bit of bite behind its attacks. Also, edited in Thunder Wave as it is a viable substitute for Toxic depending on your team. The EV set I list now is probably the bulkiest variant of Porygon2 you can have; it lives through hits like a boss. You can shift some of the Defense EVs to Special Defense if you want more Special bulk or even Special Attack if you want a bit more power. ~N8theGr8
Conor
staight up wall (porygon2) porygon2 (M) @evolite trait- trace evs- 252 def, 252 sp def, 4hp nature- sassy (+sp def, - spd) moves -toxic -hidden power ice/fighting -protect -recover porygon2 is by far my favorite wall to use. With the mass increase to its already staggering defenses is tremodous thanks to evolite, it can create defneses reaching over 450. the strategy behind this particular strategy is to toxi stall. this porygon2 basically trolls as a end game staller, or even just a quick switch to save a poke. your hidden power comes in handy when you come against a stell type and all you have left is porygon2 left. you should be able to take down a stell type with 4-7 hp fightings. the only probelm you will encounter with this little guy would be if you were to come across a metagross, which we all know are shrinking in popularity

Administrators Amethyst Posted September 6, 2011 Administrators Share Posted September 6, 2011 25 more power + 10% chance freeze. Far better. Also, why Sassy? As opposed to like, Calm
