all he needs is for Mr.Taylor to point out a face to go with the name...

enough on that though.

@Supernovae, figured I'd put in a bit of foreshadowing in there while he was making his request....

@Stratos: y u make me look bad? lol...I haven't kill anyone on purpose..yet.

It's all in the name of character development for Ethic.

Hell, I've twisted details and given him false information on a lot of things just for this sake.

Like how he thinks Kenny was the one who got him away from the prison.

It obviously wasn't, the Phantom did.

He thinks he has yet to find Taylor's killer yet.

But yet he has.

you see Ty, I'm having Ethic go through this to make him a bit more real. that little comment he made while frenzied about Ixidor being satan?

Well, some of that thought process stuck with him. his injuries from the glass prison coupled with near brain death from then has resulted in some of his memoeries of what occured directly before that to be flawed, like how Ixidor said that he didn't mean for this to happen, Ethic has forgoteen that was said. he has forgoten what he thought following that. he has forgotten the hermit showing him the dark side of Ixidor high-jacking the glass.

In other words, Ixidor, Ethic's main reason for what he thinks and does when it comes to Ixidor or things relating to him, is not because of those cards that were destroyed, that motivation will be gone shortly after this...

It's because that with recent conversations, he has begun to believe that Ixidor was out to cause harm from the very beginning, that he meant to do everything he has done, even though that's not the truth, that is what that Young Man believes, and so for him, that is the reality of what's been going on.

I appologize that it happened to be you who had a character who so happened to be usable for this end, I truly am sorry, but the same would've resulted if it had been anyone else.

Ethic is angry and hateful towards Ix because he believed that Ixidor was never his friend in the first place, just someone who was out to get him and Kenny.

And he feels betrayed by that and shameful that he fell for it at all. and to Ethic, Betrayal is the greatest crime a person can commit.

again, truly sorry, but would you like some cake out of consolation? ;)

yehey cake! but its so salty :P yeah yeah don't need to apologize, you need to develop what you're plotting i guess. oh btw the feeling is mutual since you abandon Ixidor left him for dead with Marcus. So don't expect any warm hearted reunions. here's your cake with extra salt! :)

EDIT: this reminds me of Anakin and Obi-wan lava fight ---- guess who's Anakin? ;)

I'm looking forward to the war that will surely ensue when they next meet with the capabilities for open combat, Typh....

oh the shear emotions that will fly.

it'll probably be a fight to the Extreme...

Who will win?

The Magic Artist?

Or the Evoker turned Arcane Fugitive?

that reminds me...

I've got to get some hate for Ethic brewing about the one called 'Scot' as well...

the guy's gonna need it when time comes to....

Damnit... Giving out spoilers again...

(PS: Ixidor should be happy that he's travelling with Marcus when he's like this, he seems to be less sociopathic... Mr.Taylor didn't have the benefit of meeting Marcus when he was in this state of mind...maybe Ixidor won't be murdered by his own traveling companion.)

Strat, I really don't know how I want Mr. Taylor to respond to Ethic's little ... outburst. Right now, he'll just be silently listening to what Ethic has to say, just like Ethic did for him, he might back away when Ethic starts radiating energy, but he won't be going anywhere. Basically, Mr. Taylor wants to treat Ethic, like Ethic just treated him, unless Ethic asks for advice. In which case, Mr. Taylor would love to give off some folksy wisdom. So don't be afraid to post again tonight if you want to expand on the idea and just assume that Mr. Taylor is quietly listening.

I want Quincy to start laying into you guys so badly lol. The Rat wants to hunt...But him and Byron, totally going to have a fight, even though, they can't really defeat each other. ( Quincy would have a slight edge, but it would be a stalemate for the most part.)

Ok, I admit I'm a little lost with Phantom's trial. :P

Now, i have two ways of dealing with this so I'd want to know which do you like better, Flux.

1) leave it like it is now and have Minos resolve that he must travel the rest of Hell as a way of testing him.

2) Have Minos give him his memory (or part of it) back for the trial, what could be a permanent change or fade away after.

I guess it will depend basically on how much you want to reveal about him in this stage.

Hmm... Tempting as it is, I'll probably have to go with option #1 so he at least has a reason to reach the bottom still. His memories are what he's after in the end. Although... It could be interesting developing a new motive for him... Perhaps he could gain some memory back after passing each "circle" of the hill?

It could be an interestinting idea. In this case, may I have minos give him a memory of what sin he's commited? (Assuming he did)

So I'm thinking that you should give him the memory of his sin (which he will keep permanently) and then for the trial only, give him the ability to speak clearly again? Sound good? This may end up changing his goal as he actually doesn't even know that you get a wish for reaching the bottom...

Ok, real quick, did anyone else find Ethic as Wrathful?

Notus, don't know how you did it...

But you freaking made me have an epiphany just now...

My Character is a wrathful person... very much so...

I didn't even realize all the signs that he was... AND I FREAKING MADE ALL THOSE DETAILS MYSELF...

God... I feel like an idiot that I didn't even notice until some else had to point it out to me...

Damnit...How the hell am I gonna be an Author if this slipped by me?... If I can't even realze what's going on in the deepest levels of my own characters psyche...

Oh... Oh wait... I pretty much based Ethic's personality off my own... that means...

^ Kkk no need for all that, Stratos. Sometimes the most obvious things are the ones that escape us, that's why outside opinions are so valuable sometimes.

Aand speaking of that, feedback time! Guys, what's your opinion on this first chapter? What do you think that can be improved for the next ones?

Strat it actually may be a good thing that you didn't even notice Ethic's wrathfulness. It shows that you can create depth that you can't even see. Think of all the symbolism that is posed on to authors all the time that even they don't know they did.

Notus, the first chapter was a great warm up. The only improvement I can think of is to make it more hell-ish, but I think that's what's going to be happening anyway so I'm just looking forward to chapter two.

It's great! there's always room for improvement if you feel like it's lacking something.like Super said great warm-up. :)

After reading my cluster-crap ass writing that i can think off, i think Ixidor sin was pride, well not his timid-self but his thoughts looking down on others with his ability to create and erase things... but greed works too please don't add it up to my sentence already

Oh well, I was tempted to say pride at first too, but -weird- there's no punishment for it on Dante's Hell.

Edit: I was going to post the new chapter tomorrow, but got an creatitvity attack and got it all ready... So there it goes!
