alright, notus, let's get to it...

so is this garden filled with venomous fruits/ toxic water like an arena from the "Hunger Games" or is this stuff legit safe to touch?

(Not that I would believe you if you said it was safe... This is hell we're talking about, after all...")

As for feedback, I absolutely loved it. I had a lot of fun RPing Phantom in this sort of setting, and you're doing a great job on the host side of things. I'd just say keep doing what you're doing. This is one of my favorite RPs right now, so let's keep it up.

Well Notus, I approve of all your work so far. You make a fine host. (Maybe even better than me lol.) Also Strat, no need to be upset about not realizing it. (I actually kinda think the fact you couldn't see it made the character even more genuine, if you did all of that just by pure spur of the moment actions that is a very powerful thing to have as an author. You can plan out things etc, but I don't feel that way makes them fell as genuine. To me Ethic feels like he could be a real person, were as if you rehearsed what his sins were etc......I think he would feel like a canned stock character. I don't know if you are reading Graterras at all, but I will tell you, I have very little planned for my main characters, I prefer they flow by the moment. Hell, I came up with some of them last minute and threw them in there. Jupiter I literally made up on the spot, and she fits in almost better than Orpheaus who is a character I have had in it since the beginning of writing Graterras.)

As for my feedback, Notus, this is pretty damn fun. Story's actually going pretty smooth so far (Not that I doubted you or anything like that.)

in fact, I've had more fun writing in this RP than any other i'm currently in (Even my own, LOLS)

Like Hukuna said, You make a pretty good host. keep it up and this thing will become quite epic before long

*Drops a hand written note...*

also @ Hukuna, Thanks for that... guess it's not such a bad thing after all... hell, guess It really is a good sign that my own characters surprise me... up to now, I always thought that writing was really just playing God in your own little world; IE. being omnipotent to all that goes on with your characters... I see now that I was wrong.

I see that Writing like that isn't fun... you're right, all of that stuff was spur of the moment, I had a basic plan but pretty much all the details were just thought up as I typed... maybe I should just stop stressing so much about planning out everything while writing and do what I do best: Improvision and fast spur of the moment decisions.

It is all about Balance my friend. For an RP, spur of the moment is much more useful though, as you need to be able to adapt to the others playing their characters as well. However as a writer it is good to be able to just come up with stuff. I feel you will make a good writer one day Strat, it just takes time to get there, so don't stress lol. Glad I could shine a bit of a light for ya, on what it means to be a writer. Sometimes it is the stuff other people discover about our world, and our characters, that is the most interesting stuff.

Also do keep in mind, don't auto hit people's character's too much. I let you do it in that case because you had the drop on them and they were both engrossed in their battle. Let's just say don't do that all the time. (Had a situation early on were it happened, don't want that to repeat itself.)

Oh yeah I'm aware of that. It's /because/ you were engrossed in battle I done it. Plus, with Annie moving so fast, it would be hard to counter attack or block or dodge it. I dont always do it, I just thought it would be kinda silly if you did dodge it >w>

you're not part of the matrix >=D

Only Quincy would have been able to if he saw it coming, he moves faster than a normal Human, but he didn't, so hit him square in the face. He kinda is a rather ineffective villain at the moment since everyone grouped up, but he will be hunting you guys. Now that he knows of his Lightning powers.....might be much more dangerous as well. (since he no longer relies totally on his guns.)

((oh and sorry lol, I can't really help myself to teaching people around here, I mean some of the people even call me the RP Sensai. Basically, I am guessing you have some RP experience, which is awesome, since it saves me having to teach somebody completely new. But if anything ever does come up, don't hesitate to ask me anything lol.))

Soo forums are back (yet again).

First of all, thanks a lot guys! I'm having tons of fun playing this RP and it is very rewarding to know you're liking it as well! Your characters are all great and I'd say they are the ones who really make the story.

Also, @ Stratos: Yeah it is safe to touch the flowers, at least for now. Or I could be lying :P. But don't worry, things will get more hellish soon...

@Alatreon: Just to remember, when you fight with other PCs be sure to leave space for them to react. It's important not to assume your hits landed, else it would be to easy for the characters to kill one another.

Edit: Ooh,I just now saw the last posts above.XP

Just to point out, since Annie and Byron already have some time on the second circle: shit gets serious at night time. Hukuna and Annie, if you want more info just ask me and I'll send you in PM.

No worries! The same thing happened to me, I skimmed over the posts and then had to do major editing because I missed things

I am not trying to be a pessimist or a jerk here, but I really don't like what you just did Strat. No offense, but you are pretty much circumventing the rules about us not getting more powerful down in the depths of hell. (at least to my understanding.) It isn't really cool in my book that you have a random demon you is just willing to give you a bunch of stuff. Why on Earth would anything of the sort happen? Your last post to me is just very fishy, and I really don't like it. (I love how this arcana apprently got rid of you, yet they still seem very willing to help you out, it is very Sue-ish, backwards, and at least to me, feels like you are just trying to make Ethnic more powerful out of nowhere.) If you can explain to me why it isn't I will have no issue with it, but as of now it doesn't sit pretty with me.

((I might be a little miffed because having him give your character a whole arsenal of bullet-proof clothing feels like a personal dig at me, like I did something to make you mad at me or something as my characters are the only ones who even use guns.))

I can see your point, Hukuna

I wasn't exactly entirely done with editing the thing when it first went up in fact, I just got done a few minutes before writting this. no Kevlar anymore

here's the reasoning behind it all:

The system that the Keepers work is that there are 21 lesser Keepers and 1 high keeper(The Wheel of Fortune) charged with overseeing all the others... at least, that's how it is on paper, in reality, the Keeper of the Devil doesn't follow orders from the High Keeper, but is more of a neutral party who only acts if it's in their own interest. Ergo, when the Kill Order for Ethic went out, the KOD wasn't going to follow that order either way, and really doesn't care how the whole situation ends.

think of the Devil Arcana keeper as Great Briton during the American Civil War; they don't really care how it ends, but their willing to assist Both sides (Where-areas Briton provided both sides with weapons) Maxwell helped Ethic out by giving him back some items he had lost, and some new articles of clothing (Regular, not Kevlar lined) he's also going to be turning right around to report on Ethic's every location to the other Keepers to preserve his own interest (He wasn't kidding when he said he'd be watching very closely) there'll also be several other repercussions to the little bargain that Lucian manage to convince the KOD to do.

just to make it clear, there are 20 Keepers seeking to erase Ethic's Existence. 1 Keeper who is more or less playing the Part of Great Briton as described above. and 1 Keeper who has Abdicated the position (And will soon lose all abilities of the office) in order to assist Ethic due to a fundamental conflict of interest between him and his former colleagues .

Lucian's is the only help from a Keeper that Ethic gets from here, and he's soon to become nearly useless.

In all honesty, I kinda did it to add some type of comedic relief by making satirical fun of the various religious and paranormal stigmas about hell

Ethic really doesn't have any more power now than he did before it happened, just a new set of clothing and his old things back. if anything, this whole thing is going to prove detrimental to him, as no one really wins in a Devil's Bargain.

((That whole Kevlar thing wasn't meant as a personal spite to you or anything, I realized that was going to far while making the final edits and switched it to being regular clothing. Another factor is that it's getting kinda late and that also has an effect on my coherence and thought, which is why I needed to edit so much on the post))

I'll be out for some time tomorrow, so I let something for you to play a little in the IC. Hope I didn't go too over the top there.

Also, remember the night fall was gradual, so you do have a little time to prepare before the doomed (the "monsters") appear.
