Minos looked down at Enya seeming interested "Well it depends. Why did you run away?"

==========================

As the She-Wolf jumped at Ixidor, a big round shield appeared right in front of him. The wolf crashed into it at full speed, sending Ixidor flying backwards.

The shield breaks in half as the young painter sent flying through a nearby bookcase with such force, He slowly gets up after hurting his back due to that impact. He knew that wolf-beast is relentless and won't stop until it gets its prey. Ixidor stays barely keeps his focus as he battles for his life and sketches poorly drawn bear traps page after page as tears it and slides it through the library floor surrounding himself with traps. Ixidor cries in pain while holding half of the shield in his arm hoping to stall the beast.

Really? you're playing defense? pretty lousy job i might add! unless you didn't notice I'm a part of you meaning if you die, your thoughts die as well, including me! let me help you pathetic fool! but Ixidor was to frighten to listen his conscience as his only concern this time is his survival.

Ethic saw as a giant Wolf-like creature came out of nowhere and Seized Ixidor by the shirt collar with it's massive maw, dragging the boy off into another corridor before Ethic could even process what had just happened.

"Ixidor...."

He Pooled as much power as he could do, yelling out as his anger began to rise...

"IXIDOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He Started breathing harder, his anger rising to far greater levels than ever before

"Damn it... and I told Kenny not to let anything happen to him... No... I'm not going to let this happen... Not while I have the power to intervene... And even If I didn't...."

With that he dashed off after where he had seen the she-wolf disappeared, rushing past Shelf after shelf, gaining more and more speed...

He found them, at the far end of a corridor, It seemed that Ix had managed to escape from the Wolf's maw, but now it was chasing him as the young man hastily scribled things in his Sketch book and tore out the pages, Crude traps springing up from them. But it they didn't look like they would stop a starved chuwawa , let alone a Wolf that was six feet tall on all fours, and the wolf was gaining on Ix much faster than he could run.... There was but one thing for Ethic to do....

He put all the power he had pooled into the Magician arcana, The card flew out of his pocket, Spinning and glowing scarlet, twelve tendrils of fire surged outward, writhing in the air. They awaited Ethic's command.

He pointed down range at the She wolf.

"Integrity and Courage, House Ytilarom!!!"

With that he ordered the fiery tendrils of blazing fury outwards, flying down the Aisle. He used his will to guide them, as if they were arms, making the deadly flares surge completely around Ixidor as he fled the wolf, and flying towards the She-wolf, their heat making the air hiss and pop as they approached...

Kenny saw the Wolf jump out of nowhere, grab Ixidor, and drag him behind a nearby bookshelf. Kenny then saw Ethic run after Ixidor.

"Hey! Wait up!"

Then, after getting near Ethic again, Kenny saw Ethic use The Magician. Kenny then decided to help out again by Boosting Ethic. When he did, the Flames intensified a LOT, and the flames also turned blue from the increase in intensity. Kenny then got a large Headache.

"Ooh, I see. Than my next question is for Ace." The Judge said in a playfull tone "Mister Ace, have you done anything bad? You can ask miss Enya to tell me if you wish, but remember: no lying."

===================================================

The She-Wolf jumped through the flames in a swift motion, gracefully leaping in the air and avoiding contact with the tendrils. It landed on one of Ixidor's traps, which closed around her pawn making no damage.

Kenny, having helped distract the wolf, opened a portal underneath Ixidor while the wolf was in midair, putting Kenny and Ethic between Ixidor and the wolf.

Ethic cursed under his breath as he saw the she-wolf leap right over the blue tendrils of fire, making them miss their mark. He refocused the energy and again sent the writhing masses of fire flying towards the she-wolf, this time splitting his focus to be equally distributed to half of them, which he split off from the main group and sent headed creeping upon the floor, forming a circle around the She-Wolf...

That's when Ix disappeared and reappeared behind him. He then realized that Kenny was here as well...

He turned to look at his friend...

"Well looks like You found us."

He turned his attention back to the She-wolf, sending out his will to the fires he had sent creeping along the floor encircling the wolf and causing them to rise up into the air like the heads of a Hydra.

"Kenny, Ix, Get out of here... I'll hold her here for as long as I can."

Ethic had a feeling that he was very unlikely to win this battle... But he still was sure as hell gonna try. He saw an interesting tactic in his mind...

He reached out to the magician arcana and asked the Keeper, Lucian...

There any chance that I can put a command to home in on targets to these things?

Lucian replied

"Interesting... You're actually the First Invoker to ever ask that about the tendrils... I think it may be possible, with my help..."

Well then, let's try it...

He could feel a resonating prescence echo forth from the magician and enter his mind, where it began to function in the background...

Alright... Let's

With that he sent the Tendrils hurtling downward toward their target, the Keeper of the Magician going to work on trying to find a way to induce a homing effect on them...

"Understood. Ix, we're out of here."

and with that, Kenny went next to Ixidor, opened a portal beneath them, and they got out of that sticky situation, coming out of the Exit Portal next to the main group.

Ixidor was feeling relief that his friends assisted him, as his tears stop falling. "Kenny! Ethic!" he mumbles showing a little bit of confidence.

Fool! were not of the woods yet! Now listen to me while that she-beast is distracted, i want you to draw something, i think this is some sort of a test that judge is giving to you just like those shadow creatures. This is the kind of imperfection that our world doesn't need, it must be eliminated! it's your creation vs theirs!

as Ixidor listen to his thoughts and close his eyes while he sketches something listening to the voice channeling every negative emotion and anger with every stroke of his pen as his hands glow in a dark red manner as he sheds a tear.

As the She-wolf leaps and seemingly unharmed while a portal which Kenny steps out appears before him and teleport him next to Ethic, The trance and his concentration was broken and dropping his sketch pad beneath the She wolf as they disappear right before the She-wolf's eyes.

A Giant Nightmarish Scorpion made of blood bigger than the beast appears from the sketchpad as the ground begins to shake. as it tries to inject the wolf with powerful paralyzing poison with its stinger while being trap in the circle of flames aswell.

as Kenny created a portal for their escape while Ethic was trying to hold it off. Ixidor has this concern look while leaving Ethic once again.

  • 2 weeks later...

The wolf deftly avoided the scorpions sting, landing right between the monster and Ethic. As the big red beast turned around to strike again, the fire tendrils from the Arcana came rushing at the wolfs direction. As both forces were about to strike dead on the target, the She-Wolf grinned and faded away in darkness, forced to a tactical retreat.

And leaving Ethic open to the incoming fire.

((Typhlosion, Are you still controlling the scorpion or can I go ahead and deal with it?))

Ethic Cursed under his breath as the giant She-Wolf faded into the shadows and dissapeared. As if it wasn't enough that his quarry had escaped, he now saw a huge scorpion, Larger than the wolf had been, rushing straight at him, stinger upraised... As well as the hot-blue tendrils of ethereal fire that he'd conjured up with the Arcana...

He heard Lucian's voice in his mind...

Well... with the wolf gone, this defeats the purpose of homing... And where the hell did that big-ass scorpion come from?

"Does it really matter as to where it came from? It's still headed right towards me... but wait.."

He remembered an old bit of trivia... With Scorpions, the smaller they were, the more potent the venom, ergo, the venom of large scorpions was far less dangerous... But the fact that this thing was taller than he was and had a massive stinger probably rendered that bit of information useless, as he probably would die from being impaled rather than the thing's venom.

Enough talking, you've got to take some course of action if you wanna get out off this alive. Get to it, my friend.

He felt Lucian's presence leave his mind at that point. A little annoyed at how the Keeper had just uped and left him like that, he mumbled under his breath

"My friend...? Yeah, sure... Why the hell did you just abandon me to face this thing alone then?"

Getting over this temporary peve, he extended his will outwards to the Tendrils, taking control of them again and re-routing their courses. The scorpion was closing fast, but luckily the fire moved through the air much faster. Ethic extended his arm outwards, the flames gathering around it, like a falcon returning to it's master. He looked down at his Flaming fore-arm, there was no pain, just a subtle heat, as far as he could tell, the fire was completely self-sustained, consuming nothing in terms of fuel, seeing as how his arm and jacket sleeve were still perfectly intact. The Scorpion was only ten feet away now.

"Well let's see what I can do..."

Up till now he had very little experience with the powers of the Magician arcana, and all the Arcana for that matter. But he figured he'd never learn what they were capable of unless he pushed the envelope. and now was just as good a time as any. He focused his power and will, visualizing a wall of flames erupting on the marble floor directly in front of him, then he flung out his arm.

muralha-de-fogo.jpg

It worked as he had hoped, the fire obeyed his command, it vanished from his fore-arm entirely as he flung it outward, as a massive wall of flames erupted atop the marble floor, creating a wall of destruction for any who crossed it...

And the scorpion was headed right for it. But he could feel the effects of Invoking beginning to take place, more of his stockpiled power drained away, leaving the supply nearly empty. He could tell that soon, he'd have to draw energy directly from his own body instead of from gathered stockpiles of excess energy. And that would not be fun. Not at all. unless of course, one's definition for fun was something like fatigue, Bloody coughing, or the occasional tearing pains throughout the body.

Not wasting another second, he turned around and began running towards the portal that Kenny had made, Praying to God that the Scorpion wasn't resistant to fire...

Kenny was starting to feel the strain of keeping the portal open, but he toughed it out and kept it open so Ethic could be able to get out of there.

Ixidor saw the incident after the She-wolf retreated and fades unto the shadows. the nightmarish scorpion turns its attention to the group like a predator ready to attack unto its next prey screeching and snapping its pincers and was scurries on the group on its crab like legs , it crosses the a wall of molten hot flame engulfs the creature but despite that the creature manages to cross half of its body suffering from sever burns.

Ixidor yelled out an emotional cry to his creation out of impulse "Stop!" as the scorpion was about to strike with its stinger and suddenly stops motionless, as the bloody scorpion exploded and splatted out its parts leaving a huge mess and follows a rain of blood pouring unto them.

"Glad you guys are all right?" Ixidor sighted showing a sign of relief then look at Kenny and Ethic weakened as his anxiety soon to follows and mumbles " Oh gawd! what to do! what to do! this is bad...ow gawd." with a concern look as he started panicking.

With those words, the light in Enya's huge eyes flickered. The cool blue began to fade away, darkening and descending into a void black... Only to be replaced by a feral animal's brown irises. As if the stuffed toy abruptly lost its significance to its bearer, it fell to the ground with an unusual muffled clunk sort of noise.

The little girl's mouth opened but did not move. The voice that was heard, however, did not seem to belong to the child, sounding neither feminine, nor masculine-- not human in any way, even. It alternated between a rough, guttural and a silky hissing sort of accent and quality.

"Sssssssearch that majessssstic archive of yours, o your Highnessssss, but I shan't return to the Damned Pit."

The judge raised an eyebrow "Well, that explains why there was more than one presence here. You're a fugitive uhn?" Minos said, abandoning his playfull tone. "Well than, I guess that's it. You sealed your fate by trying to evade Eternal Justice. However, it's not fair that the girl suffer because of you. I'll judge your case carefully, and you have what you deserve." the judge said in a angry voice.

"Any final thoughts, Ace and Enya?"

"The girl, she issssss merely my carr-- carrier and vessel. Neither does she have a place in thissssssss forssssssaken world."

The brown slowly began to fade.

"She trussssssstssssss my every word for I saved her."

No sooner had the icy blue settled back in did the child, seemingly back to herself, yelp in alarm and pick up the beloved toy, brushing away any traces of dirt on it. Enya seemed to have no clue of what had just happened. How did Ace fall on the floor? How clumsy. Clumsy, clumsy, clumsy...

"Very well. For now, you'll go back to your friends. I'll see both of you again soon." Minos told the girl. With a wave of hand, the courtroom disappeared and Enya found herself waking up in the library.

Rose stared as the young child in her arms began to awaken. "Oh Enya," she whispered. "I'm so glad you're alright." Glancing at Damian and Ellaria, both of whom were standing next to her, she heaved a sigh. "Should we try to move now?" she questioned, shifting her weight so that Enya would be comfortable and she wouldn't feel strain.

Ethic stopped as he felt something hot and wet land on the back of his neck... he reached to feel what it was, and his fingers were covered in scarlet. in fact... the entire back half of his jeans felt wet as well...

Ethic took of his fatigue jacket and turned it over, examining the back. The entire thing was a deep shade of scarlet. He smelled it... and the same metallic scent from Mr.Taylor's apparent murder scene wafted into his nostrils.

There was no doubt about it. This substance was indeed blood.

"But where the hell did this much come from?" Asked Ethic, though not really to anyone in particular. He looked behind him, to see a massive pool of the stuff on the floor, along with several large, crimson legs and a stinger...

So wait... It exploded? He thought to himself as Ixidor called out.

" Oh gawd! what to do! what to do! this is bad...ow gawd."

He looked up from his fatigue jacket to see Ixidor and Kenny still standing outside the portal Kenny had erected. Something had the younger boy in a panic. Ethic walked over to the two of them. He addresed Kenny first.

"I think you can go ahead and close that thing, Kenny... We probably won't be needing it afterall."

He looked to Ixidor next.

"Ix, What's going on with you?"

And there it was. The question he'd been trying to delay for so long now. But given what just happened and the fact that the kid seemed to be on the verge of a breakdown, Ethic decided that now was the proper time to get to the bottom of it. And do that he would.

"And don't say 'Nothing'. because you're not a very good liar."

"OK, then."

kenny then closed the Portal, and the large headache he had while maintaining the portal faded away after a few seconds.

"So now what? where to next?"

Mr. Taylor's body began to twitch. Suddenly the once life-less body had a breath of air in it. He slowly opened his eyes to the scene of a dark red floor ... blood. With the realization to where he was he jumped up and got up quickly. He wondered how was there this much blood on the ground? His head was throbbing, his body ached, in fact he felt as though he was about to die. Despite this feeling he quickly grabbed his cane, which lay nearby and started moving. His bag and hat may have been missing, but looking for them wasn't an option, he didn't know what had happened he just knew he had to move.

As Mr. Taylor began walking away, he started thinking back hard to what had happened and began muttering to himself. "I know I'm in this wretched library, and ... and I met those two boys! Yes, that's right, but then we got separated and then, oh good lord, my head is throbbing," Mr. Taylor buckled from the pain, he was incredibly weary, he felt as though his head was about to explode and had an incredibly sharp pain in his spleen. He decided he had moved far enough away from this incident, not far enough to be safe perhaps, but well his body wasn't going to make it any farther.

He sat down and tried piecing together what had happened, "Right, so the boys, yes, yes, we escaped from that strange lion, and then I thought I was going mad, when that other boy, god what was his name," Mr. Taylor clutched at his head it was banging harder than a led zeppelin concert now, all Mr. Taylor wanted to do was pass out, but he knew he had to keep pushing, "His name ... it was Marcus, we had a long talk and then..." Mr. Taylor stopped, he couldn't believe what he was about to say. As the realization hit him the pain dispersed, only a sharp pain in his kidney, and a deep frog in his windpipe remained. "Marcus, he ... he killed me,"

Mr. Taylor leaned back, the memories were flowing back now he had it all figured out, he was about to tell Marcus, but he had suddenly lost his memory when he reversed time. "Wait, that's right, I reversed time ... how did I do that?" he thought again remembering all of the other acts of magic he had witnessed throughout his journey. But, before he lost himself in trying to figure out where the magic came from he regained his composure. He grabbed his cane and got up, the pain in his kidney and throat were still there, but they were bearable now, only causing a minor annoyance. He could worry about that later though, as for right now Mr. Taylor had one concern, he had to find his way out of here without dying ... again.

As soon as they make it out through that cluster. Ixidor heavily breathes as he tries to catch his breath and coup of what is going on in the present. He look at both of his friends with a daze look while all he can hear was seems to be long eerie ringing sound. He tries to focus on Ethic's unclear voice.

"Ix, What's going on with you?" as the young painter manages to get a hold of himself.

"And don't say 'Nothing'. because you're not a very good liar."

"Thanks Kenny" as he shies away a look and look down at his feet addressing Ethic's question.

"Well, I really don't know, Mr.Ethic. this place seems to give you these strange kind of powers, it seems i been given the ability of creating things by drawing and eliminating objects including my creations." as he look straight at Ethic with his teary eyes.

"I really don't know but the thing is every time i drew something keeps holding me back from creating something decent. Maybe it's my repress frustration and emotion due to my parents raising methods. Giving me pressure to become one of them, a great artist someday. My mistakes are never go unpunished as i repeat my artwork over and over until i get it right ." said with a timid voice.

"Suddenly i can hear these thoughts talking to me as if my flaws came to haunt me in this place, this place somehow amplifies those thoughts or maybe i'm going insane." I think that thing back there was product of my thoughts and emotions, to be honest i didn't know how i did that. but I didn't meant to hurt you guys! you gotta to believe me! I'm sorry." as He looks down at his feet once more and tears start to run on his face as it drips on his shoes as Ixidor stand motionless.

Ethic looked at Ixidor. The magician flew back into his pocket as he resonated the Hermit in it's place. He could tell this could actually be getting somewhere. but now was not the time to stop grilling Ix with questions. he knew what he wanted to see next.

"Ix. I want you to show me what you mean. Draw something. now."

Ixidor wipes his tears from sobbing as he tries to do Ethic's request. He takes out his other sketchpad from his satchel as he presses his pen through the paper and tries to draw something. He couldn't move his hands and has a scared look on his face while facing his sketchpad, immobilize by fear he didn't continue as he is thinking of the consequences before him. he puts down his sketchpad on his sides as he looks at Ethic straight in the eyes trying to hold his tears.

"I can't Mr. Ethic, i've done enough! I can't create something pure. I don't want to hurt anybody no more especially you and Kenny due to my personal demons and lack of control. Maybe that judge was right maybe i deserve judgement for malevolent thoughts that's why I'm down here." as he told Ethic with the purest of his intentions and clenched his fist looking downwards covering his face.
