"Killing is my job, there for I must enjoy. A man must take pride is his work, otherwise it isn't worth doing." Byron said. The Ratman laughed at this comment. "Really? Is that what you tell yourself to not be more sick of a person? You lie to yourself telling yourself that is why you enjoy it? You are a Sociopath like me Byron, you like the thrill of the hunt, just as much as I do, while I didn't know your name or what you looked like, I know your mind. No little Lie can stop you from facing the truth. I kill because I enjoy the sweet snapping of bones, the spilling of blood. Because it was what my mind was rigged to do, it only comes naturally. You are just like me Byron......don't kid yourself." He spewed forth even more laughter. "Bwahahahaha, BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Stupid Bryon can't even figure out his own faults."

The judge's hammer came down on the desk, an doing an absurdly loud noise with it's impact.

"Order! Quickshot Quincy, if you insist on being a trouble for this court I will have to take some providences." the judge stated with an angry tone.

He than faced Byron. "So you'd say your a proud man, mister Byron. Very well. What do you two consider as your biggest flaw?"

"I mean no trouble Your honor, but stirring chaos, Too much fun! Maybe, that is my greatest flaw. It isn't usually very likely to live long with that attitude. Yes, Yes, most definitely." he said his little ears twitching. It was the truth in his addled mind.

Byron looked at the rat with disgust. He hated him. He wanted kill him so badly. But he couldn't now. "Mine is how easily swayed my emotions are. Makes it hard on the job. I have been told I am too hot-headed, but I get results, so my handlers are willing to deal with it." he still looked venomously at the Ratman, who clearly didn't know he offended Byron.

When Ellaria was walking invisible with her two new allies, she suddenly new that a felow appeared to join them. She heard:

"I'm Rose, I don't know the names of my companions but I swear we won't hurt you."

"My name is Damian. I'm pretty lost in here, and you seem to be kind of lost too. I don't mean to be hasty but it isn't safe in this place. So when ever possible we should keep moving. Just don't hurt yourself alright?

"My name is Enya Gillespie, and this is Ace! He really, really hates the rain and water, so please don't ever get him wet,"

Ellaria answered:"My name is Ellaria. Now that everybody knows each other, does someone here knows why this place is so crazy or what we may do to get out of here? I'd like to know who is the owner of the booming voice that said :"This court is now in section. Before you proceed, be warned that no lies are allowed. Answer true and answer right, or your sentence will only come faster."

"Someone here know this guy?"-Ellaria asked

"Oh well. Seems you two are the easy type." the judge said after hearing the duo's statements.

"I have one last question and we're done. You are being charged for the Sins of Pride and Violence against people. Do you have anything to say in your defense before you receive your sentence?"

The Ratman looked at the Judge. "That is a big fat N O from me. I could go on about how's it my nature, but I think the judgement is what is in your nature, so no point."

Byron still stared at the Rat, that guy was what he hated in killers. They did it for fun. "No point in arguing on my side either, while I do believe I have committed no sins, others don't see it that way, and I have chosen to accept that. Do what you will, I don't really care."

Ethic was awakened from his slumber in the space on the bookshelf by the sound of... well, of all things... Hooves. horse hooves, which seemed incredibly out of place for a library. He leaned out a little to see what was going on, just in time to see young Ixidor fly right by him, on the back of a... Skeletal horse.

"Well...This just adds a new level of weird to this place..." Ethic said.

The sound of flapping pages caught his attention next, as the horse skeleton galloped further down the aisle with his friend on it's back, apparently trapped to it somehow, then disappeared from view.

"son of a..."

He looked down to see several of the books had been flung upon by the gust created by the Horses speed. He leaped off the shelf and hit the ground, moving fast as he could. he had to clear alot of books from the shelf to make space for himself, and they all were open now, all of them about to spawn shadows. He jumped to the nearest one, but something caught him by the collar.

----------------------

He flung himself out of his jacket, hitting the ground and rolling away from whatever had grabbed him. Standing there was a huge shadow, at least six foot ten inches and with incredibly broad shoulders. It reached out for Ethic again, tossing his jacket aside, Ethic could see claws on it's black hands.

He leapt away, consequently knocking into another shadow, this one spawned by the books that had recently been opened by the horse's passage. He elbowed it on reflex, his arm going straight through it. but the thing pushed him away back towards the behemoth shade, Ethic;s elbow apparently having done no damage what so ever. He managed to duck just as the giant swung both it's fist in a mighty horizontal arc, luckily, the thing wasn't very fast.

Damn... this is bad... I can't fight them, not without Final Judgement... Or... Can I?

Ethic knew that what he did now would be a life or death moment. He dashed straight towards the giant, actually surprising the inky phantom. it stood there dumbfounded by it's prey's sudden burst of courage.

Ethic burst right through it to the other side, just as he had hoped would happen. with himself no longer surrounded, he could focus on offense. He was about to focus his power when the behemoth unexpectedly moved at an alarming speed. Ethic stood still, expecting to burst right through it like last time, but lo and behold, he found himself being picked up and toppled through the air like a rag doll, the wind knocked right out of his lungs.he landed on the ground even harder.

A wave of shadows descended on him from above, twenty, no, thrity, all of their claws and eyes glaring in the light... Ethic closed his eyes, accepting defeat...

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just then the Final Judgement arcana, followed by all the other major arcana, flowed out of Ethic's jacket that lay on the ground, flying through the air, just as a burst if light followed. He sheilded his eyes.

the light dimmed, he uncovered his eyes, it looked as if time had stopped, the wave frozen.

He heard a lone voice boom with authority in his mind

"ETHIC, REMEMBER, THE ARCANA IS YOURS TO WIELD."

the air started shimmering, and the wave began to fall upon him once again; what ever the time effect was, it was clearly over now.

Ethic didn't hesitate.

That's right... it is mine...

He pooled as much concentration and focus as he could, then flung out his will and summoned his Tarot to him, to his surprise, it wasn't the major 22 arcana that came this time, but the 56 lesser. he didn't feel the same latent power in these as he did in the major arcana, far less in fact, but he knew they still had their uses. they flew across the Aisle, circling around him, as he focused his conscious on one specific group of cards, flinging them outward. There was a burst of light as the cards ignited in white energy, the same that now cloaked Ethic's hand. he said a single word:

"NO."

They flew outward like a knife, cleanly cutting through some of the shadows descending, their cries of agony sounding as they were destroyed. Ethic sprang to his feet, losing himself in a frenzy. sending out his will and taking control of the lesser arcana, wielding them as blades of his power, cutting through the shadows one by one, Hacking through the mob, laughing...

The slaughter was soon other. the only shade still standing was the behemoth... But Ethic was in no condition to fight it now. His arm felt as if he had swung a sword a thousand times, though he hadn't moved it once while wielding the cards. His shoulder also burned with stress.

"So..." He said "Looks like the lesser ones aren't useless after all, but it looks like controlling them has the same effect on me as the major ones do..." he moved his arm a little and winced at the muscle tension.

"enough, there's no way I can beat you like this..." He said, looking at the massive shadow "Shoulda killed you first, then gotten away..." He called back the energy he had been channeling through the cards. they stopped hovering in the air and feel to the floor. he sent energy to them again, this time collecting them in a neat deck in his hand.

In response, the shade again charged. Ethic sidestepped just in the nick of time, the behemoth slaming into the book case behind him... Ethic knew this was his only chance, he grabbed his coat and bagged from the floor and sprinted away as fast as he could, his arm and shoulder being jarred with every single step. He could hear Shadow thundering behind him. He increased his speed, but the shade was gaining, little by little...

Ethic kept running, but knew he would have to stop soon. That's when he again spotted the Skeletal steed, still racing down the aisle with Ixidor hanging on for dear life. He didn't like that horse's look, but It may damn well have been his only option to live... He called out, as loud as he could, not worrying what type of psychopaths might hear him as well, If someone managed to face down, let alone kill the thing that was chasing him, then they deserved to be psychotic... He called out.

"IXIDOOOOOOR!!!!!" hoping his young friend wasn't to far away to hear him

"Ah, thanks. You make my job much easier this way." The judge said.

"Lord Byron the Third and Quickshot Quincy. You were found guilty by the Last Court, respectively of the Sins of Pride and Violence. I, Judge Minos, therefore shall deliver you your sentence."

That said, Minos changed. The desk in front of him disappeared, revealing a that the judge's lower body was actually a serpent's tail. His hammer changed into a metalic, heavy looking and spiked version of what it had been, and the judge himself stood up to almost ten feet.

"If you plan on resisting, I shall warn you that it's not a good idea, but I guess that like most of people you wouldn't hear me." He stated in calm tone, sliding slowly towards the shooter duo.

Minos hissed at them, as if annoyed by the lack of fighting. He than wrapped his tail around them both seven times, squeezing them tightly and sending the air straight out of their lungs. He raised both from the ground and a pitch black hole appeared beneath them. As they fainted, the Judge threw both down the hole.

"That was no fun at all, I expected more from the crazy gunslingers. Hopefully the others will be good sport."He said with scorn.

"He's..." Enya started. Then she whispered to her bear, and seemed to listen intently, turning the bear to her and nodding his head as if he were speaking to her.

"Ace says that he's a demonic snake-man, and he's after us all," the child said, "Oh! And that we have no power against him. We... Shouldn't lie." This she said with an innocent smile.

--

"There seemed to be something... off about... If not only the child, the bear as well."

"Mama, she told me that something was following me..."

"Don't look into her eyes. Don't even LOOK at her!"

"Evil omens... Such terrible signs..."

As the rapid bone-made horse makes its way through the library, the young painter sees Ethic as dodge out the way and pass right through him. Ixidor looks turn around his head seeing Ethic flashes his card powers once more as he was surrounded by the shadow creatures coming out of nowhere "there's mr.ethic! Whoa! Stop mr.horse!... as he plead to the skeletal rapid horse as it continues its pace.

with that Ixidor realize that he can stop anytime he want as his hand glows "Arggh... Idiot! why i haven't thought of this earlier" as he extend his hand through the horses skull as it glows and slowly disolves into eraser dust and makes its way through the horses body, which leads the young painter ejected through his ride and sent his small body flying through the neaby bookcase with such impact shattering the bookcase in half, You can hear the crashing woods and the books fall into the ground as the dust settles.

"IXIDOOOOOOR!!!!!" was the last thing Ixidor heard before he blackout.

*Dreamstate*

Ixidor slowly opens his eyes only to see himself in a white empty room. "Where am i!?" he said with a soft spoken voice.

He heard a slow clap coming out from the distance as it seems he is not alone in this place.

"Who are you? am i dead?"

Me?! the question is who are you!? you're pathetic that's what you are! and no, well not yet as the voice replied with a slimy threatening tone as it echoes through the room.

Whhaaa.. Ixidor replied with a curious tone but he can finish his sentence, it seems he was being forced choked from a unseen presence.

I'm you silly...well the cool part anyway.. like the way i pimp your little horsey ride?

Ixidor struggles to speak out and just before then his finger bones snap as Ixidor sheds a tear.

"Hey, hey i'm talking here.. where are your manners?...Now tell me what good is a painter without his hands !?" as the malevolent presence snap every finger from his left hand and let go of the hold.

I envy you, you are practically God that can create anything that he can draw and still choose to be a pathetic loser, what a waste...

"Who are you,Why are you doing this!?" as Ixidor ask with a frighten trembling voice and takes a grip on his neck smoothing the pain.

I am the chaos of your order, I am the nightmare of your dreams, every time you create something for morality and the well fare of others i will be there to mess it up!

I am the opposite of you.. as long you exist I do as well!

I suggest you build a God complex, By the way your fingers are still broken in the real world after that crash, Ops well i said too much..See you when i see you. as the voice fades leaving a maniacal laugh.

Ethic watched, still sprinting for his life, as Ixidor suddenly flew through the air, the skeletal horse fading to nothing underneath the boy, sending him flying into a book case. Ethic slowed as he saw his friend ejected, then stopped when he saw him impact the book case, sending wood and books flying, many of them... landing open... The shelf itself was split in half.

He felt fear and dread creeping in as he realized the likely fate of his friend.

the stomping sounded again as a familiar foe gained ground....

The hulking shade chasing him closed in, bringing down it's massive fist upon Ethic...

only to be blocked.

----------------------------------------

Ethic didn't even have to exert much effort directing them, the 56 lesser arcana responded to his energy easier than before, flying out of his Jacket and forming a barrier in the air behind him, keeping the Shadow from grounding him to bits. They spun and resonated in the air,

glowing with friction as they deflected the giant's fist. Ethics entire body glowed white.

Fear and Grief gave way to anger. PURE HOT ANGER. THE KIND THAT STARTS WARS AND RIOTS.

He was just a kid... He shouldn't have been down here... He shouldn't have had to face this place... He shouldn't have died....

Ethic played this thought process in his head over and over again. Blaming himself, Afterall, he'd said he'd watched the kid's back, but where was he when the boy obviously needed someone to watch his back. NOWHERE. That's where.

He yelled out in fury as he switched the cards over from acting as a barrier, and into an offensive force.

"He didn't deserve to die!!"

He controlled the cards, sending them into a frenzy and tearing and hacking at the Giant. His left arm burned and screamed with pain with every. single. swing. it felt as if it were tearing itself out of it's socket. The creature screamed and howled in pain as he continued his assault, each blow from the Glowing cards doing more and more damage. His arm felt like it was going to completely give out for good, but Ethic honestly didn't give a damn about the pain, he keep cutting and hacking away at the giant, until there was nothing left of it.

He ran over the the wreckage, digging through the wood and books to find the young artist, knowing that he had a very short while before the shadows would come.

finally, he found Ixidor, and to his relief, he was not dead, just seemingly unconscious. just as hoards of shadows emerged from the books that had fallen. he knew that even with his rage blocking out the pain of doing it, he could not fight them. there were far more than he had faced along with the giant. before him truly stood a mob. He and Ixidor had only one chance of survival (* Typhlosion, Hope you don't mind Ethic moving him somewhere abit safer...) He picked him up and carried the young boy across his shoulders, somewhat like a sack of flour. he put his focus into the Chariot.

"Number 7." He called

The two seemed to become lighter than air as they retreated away from the wreck of the book shelve, flying through various aisle and finally landing on a top of a bookshelf far from the wreckage. Ethic felt the consequences immediately, knowing then that he hadn't even fully recovered from the last invocation, he expected something bad. He dropped Ixidor on the wooden surface of the top of the bookshelf, then collapsed as his body was no longer able to keep up with the demands he had put it through.

Damn it... I'm pushing way too hard now...

his limbs burned and ached. his lungs worked as hard as they could. he lay there, hovering in between conscious and unconscious, the only sound he could hear was his own rapid heart beat...

Phantom rounded the corner of a bookcase, having watched most of the events in the area. A chariot had just pulled up near him, dropping off the man he believed was called Ethic and the boy called Ixidor. He took a slow pace towards the unconscious duo, stopping inches from their crumpled forms. He gazed down at them, the red eyes of his mask ablaze, as if on fire. He drew his sword and leveled it at Ethic, the point touching his neck. He paused in that position for a while, thoughts passing vaguely through his mind, deciding the fate of the man.

Ixidor was laying down and slowly opens his eyes and turn his head slightly as he saw a black trench coat man holding a sword against the unconsious Ethic's throat. He realize that his dream was right he can't move his left hand and he was barely moving. he reach down deeper in his satchel with his right hand struggling to draw something in the skechtpad, with every stroke he winced in pain. he don't know what it is, but he didn't care. but suddenly a burst light come out. It was poorly drawn 2D bear with just outlines and no details like a toddler draws it. As the fragile cartoonish bear attacks the shady character, Ixidor pass out once again.

As Phantom was deciding the fate of the unconscious man, the boy began to move. Phantom watched, unmoving from his position, as the boy reached into a satchel. There was a burst of light, and a crude bear appeared. Phantom stood his ground as the bear approached. Calmly and with no emotion, he withdrew his sword, placing it into its sheath and strode into the open portal that awaited him, casting a dim purple light over the area before disappearing entirely.

Ixidor opens his eyes once more only to find the dark coated man is gone. as blood drools from his mouth while looking up the library ceiling and thinking "that was close..who was that guy? seems merciful than the others" as he lay on the cold library floor.

The judge sighed again. "Composture young man. This here is a very serious affair." He looked at Ethic, still unconcious, and at Ixidor's broken fingers."Ah well, it won't do having you both in this state." Minos waved his hand towards them and imediatelly their pain ceased. Ethic was still lying on the floor, but would recover soon.

"Let's start with you, Mr.Mctracy. I wan't to know why you're here, and what you desire to obtain in this place." Minos said.

As his subconscious side seems to pop in his head doubting him "fool! you really are pathetic! there is no perfect art! only the perspective of our world matters! to erase and get rid of every mistake this goddamn world has to offer like your parents and those that don't understand! To create a new! now that is truly a perfect art! playing god by deciding who gets to live and who gets to die!

Ixidor hold his head and shouted "Stop it!" as Ixidor was ashamed out of that outburst "Im sorry about that, that is all you honor"

Before Rose could respond with an answer, Enya, who had seemingly been conversing with her bear "Ace" gave a reply. "Ace says that he's a demonic snake-man, and he's after us all," the child said, "Oh! And that we have no power against him. We... Shouldn't lie." Enya finished with a smile, and Rose stared in shock. She had a feeling that this was coming into her theory.

"Enya," she began, "has Ace always been able to talk to you?" Glancing at Damian and Ellaria, she continued, "Have either of you noticed yourselves gaining strange powers while in here? I'm not entirely sure how, but earlier I made two groups of those shadowy creatures disappear by telling them a specific phrase. I believe that the hill has some sort of mystic properties that have given us powers based on who we were outside of this hill."

Taking a moment, she shook her head. "I'm sorry I keep getting sick though, it'll end up slowing us all down if it continues."
