All of a sudden an Umbral aura appeared. The She-Wolf rematerialized as if it was never hit by the train. It stared at the Little Girl in contempt, Spit falling from it's jaws. This was the last time her prey defied her.

How? How was the big bad wolf back?

Enya nearly tripped backwards in confusion-- didn't it just get hit by a train? Didn't it go squish?

How... Why? WHY?

Confusion slowly burned away into annoyance. Enya wasn't spoiled-- not that she really knew, but she just didn't like it when she didn't. Get. Her. Way.

Something big like a train didn't squash the mean wolf. It didn't come back flat or with anything missing.

That wolf didn't go away like I wanted it to. That wolf should hurt.

"Hey, wolfie! I bet you don't like bugs, do you?"

Her eyes glowed in defiance and she ran away in time for what looked like thriving, monochromatic carpets consume at least five bookshelves on both sides of the monstrous hound. In a moment the swarm of hungry army ants closed the distance, encircling the wolf, as if it were a mere island in an ocean of savage and famished little razor-like jaws on six legs. Without ceasing they continued to press onward towards their prey, eager for the taste of its meat and flesh.

suddenly, Enya and Kenny start glowing a Bright Indigo, and the Army Ants get a whole lot...

... fiercer, and much more dangerous.

"I hope this Works, Enya. let's Kick some Shadow A**!"

Kenny, seeing the Wolf leap up and behind him and Enya, aimed somewhere behind him in the direction of the Wolf's Presence, glowed Dark Blue, and launched an Aura Pulse, getting a slight headache in the process.

The pulse only grazed the She-Wolf, not doing much in the process, it began to charge in the direction of Kenny. It came fast. It was as if watching your impending doom run towards you, it felt hopeless, but maybe it wasn't.

noticing the wolf rushing at him, Kenny only had barely enough time to raise a barrier encircling the wolf, pick up Enya, and run to Rose's side before he got a larger headache. then, the barrier fell, and now the wolf was at one-against-three odds, and the Ants were running towards the wolf.

"Be on your guard, girls, that thing could be back at any moment. we should get back with the main group. after all, Safety in Numbers is a huge factor of whether we'll survive or not."

"Ethic! What happened?! Where was I?! Where were you?!"

Ethic looked around, unsure where the voice had come from. It sounded alot like kenny...

He saw a familiar burst of blue and ran over to the area, spotting a massive wolf retreating from something. He looked after she had gone and saw that Kenny, the young woman and girl from before, as well as another man he didn't know, were what she had retreated from.

He was about to approach them when he heard something like a croak off in the distance... A rather loud croak... he looked off in time to see a huge frog hopping into another Aisle, a familiar form on it's back...

"Ix... Didn't he learn anything from the bone horse incident...?"

With that, he took off after the giant frog he had just seen.

On Ethic's way to the Ix, a few books fell to the floor, knocked ajar by the Giant Frog's hopping. A few shade's popped up like before, however this time one of them looked familiar. Though it's features were twisted, and warped, Ethnic could tell it was some semblance of the Man he had met with the Shotgun.

Ethic leapt back upon hearing the book fall, and took out his Tarot the moment he saw the twisted shade, pooling his power and circulating it through the entire deck, the cards Flashing with white silvery light as they responded to the young Invokers will, flying out of his pocket and hovering in the air, encircling him.

"Well guess Ix can wait for a little while longer... seems to be alright for now."

With that, he began circling around the Shade, deciding for once that he would take the predatory role...

*Guys, my character's currently fainted from trying to freeze the wolf*

---Initiate dream sequence---

Rose paced in her room, distressed. Her parents hadn't listened to her again. She'd told them that she wanted to go off to college as a music major. When they refused to pay, she said that she would work to pay for college, doing magic shows for kids and repairing instruments. They laughed at her, saying that when she was ready to get a real job they could talk.

"This isn't fair," Rpse thought, wiping a couple tears from her face. "Why can't I do what I love?" Before she could question herself further, her mother's voice drifted upstairs. "Sweetheart, come downstairs please." Rose steeled herself, putting on a neutral expression. She made sure that her eyes weren't too puffy before she went downstairs.

Upon arriving at the bottom of the stairs, Rose was slightly surprised to see her best friend and her boyfriend standing by the front door. As she was opening her mouth to say hi, Rose's mother swept into the room and ushered them all to sit down. Glancing at her friends, Rose noticed they looked grim.

"What's all this about?" she asked warily. Her boyfriend responded promptly, "This is an intervention. We've decided that you need to give up on this music thing you've got stuck in your head. Only the best of the best make it, and you need to realize that others are better. Rose was shocked. "Really? You don't think I could even have a shot?"

As she looked around, she saw all their heads nodding in sync. Getting up, she shook her head at them. "That's great, because I--" "Changed your mind, terrific!" her father proposed. Rose shook her head. "I am going to major in music no matter what." Her father then stood up, disapproval written on his face. "Then I hate to inform you, but you're no longer welcome in this house." Rose blinked. "You're kidding." But as she continued to stare at him, she realized that her father was serious. Then her boyfriend and best friend dropped the final hammer. "You aren't welcome in our homes either," they said, glaring at her.

Rose broke. "Fine," she hollered. Running upstairs, she grabbed her savings and checkbook, stuffing them into her portable backpack. She then put spare clothing in, along with her essentials. Heading back downstairs, she threw one last insult to her former loved ones. "By the way, I wanted to become a music therapist, not a performer." With that, she ran out the door, making sure that she slammed it on the way out. Seeing the paper on the lawn, she grabbed that too as she hopped on her bike and rode off.

A couple miles away, at a bus stop, Rose left her bike and started reading the newspaper. The head story was about an archaeological find that had become available to the public. "That sounds like a great idea, plus it'll take my time off of... Well, maybe it'll be a good past time..." Rose thought. With that, Rose decided to travel to the hill.

---End dream sequence---

Rose moaned. "Noooooooo, please..."

Kenny ran after Ethic, and saw Ethic take out the Tarot Deck in preparation to use it. he decided to help Ethic out, and started charging and storing the Charged energy to both Blast the weaker Shadows, Boost Ethic to help him in defeating the familiarly-shaped Shadow, and saving some Energy to Heal Ethic after they'd used their powers to defeat the Shadows, glowing Bright blue next to Ethic in the process.

"Ugh you guys again? Such a stain on my Pride, makes my skin crawl." the familiar shade said. "I will be sure to destroy you fools this time." with that the shade charged Ethic. It seemed like a stupid charge, but it wasn't.

the Shade rushed at Ethic, and Kenny suddenly put a barrier between the Shade that spoke and Ethic, then released his pulse at the Smaller Shades, obliterating them. then, the barrier fell, and Kenny Boosted Ethic, getting a headache in the process.

The Twisted one quickly fell back. as he went he knocked both bottom rows of books askew. "Might as well call up some friends." the crazed being said. The Shade's started rising quickly, there was so many, yet another horde of these mostly mindless beings were lose yet again.

Kenny had appeared out of nowhere and began assisting Ethic, which he was grateful for as he felt a torrent of strength flow through him. Kenny had even gone so far as to take care of the smaller shadows, but Ethic could tell that the other young man could probably use a bit of time to recover from the toll of doing so.

He looked over at him.

"Thanks for the help man, but I got this. You go recover a little."

With that, he faced the twisted shade.

"So, is this would happened to Shotgun McGee?"

He chuckled a little to himself.

"you know what, it doesn't matter whether or not this is him...this thing isn't human..."

He directed a torrent of his power to a few cards of the lesser arcana, causing them to blaze with white energy, like before.

"And I've fought an even larger one not long ago."

He watched as the shade knocked down some more books, calling forth more of his unholy brethren.

"Now, that's not very nice, trying to stall me from facing you?" he paused for a moment, counting the new shades.

nothing to bad...

He smirked.

"I think not!"

With that, he released his command, sending out the cards he'd selected in a blazing chain of Arcana flying downwards through the air, aimed straight at the creatures head...

Ethic watched as his cards were repelled by the bullets fired, being sent back through the air and landing at his feet. he heard as the shade cried out.

"I am killing you this time, My pride forces me too. HAHAHAHAHA."

Focusing, he shifted the lesser arcana from standby to acting as a barrier to defend him and Kenny, the cards moving in front of the two and spinning as tendrils of power drew out and connected them. They burned with a bright light as the two bullets bunched off them, but Ethic could feel a welt of pain growing in his fore arm, rolling up his sleeve a little and saw two red welts there.

"You bastard... couldn't just stay away huh?"

He returned the cards to preparation for offense, effectively taking down the barrier they had formed.

"Fine then!" He said. "As I told the judge, I won't hesitate to bring lethal force against those who endanger myself or my friends!"

He concentrated on the Magician Arcana. he had a hunch that it would answer back now, he knew they could after the meeting with the Keeper.

What can you do? he asked mentally

He saw a quick flash in his mind along with the voice of the Magician Arcana

fire-shutterstock-615x345.jpg

This is my power... what I can offer in assistance... the power of cleansing and destruction and creation... I hold sovereignty over the flame.

Ethic's vision was returned to the battle as the vision ended.

He pooled as much residual power as he could, which there was alot of thanks to kenny, and began focusing it on the Major Arcana, giving the lesser a directive to respond as necessary while he worked...

"What the hell are you doing? ANSWER ME WORM!!!" the twisted shade yelled! "Brothers to arms!!" The other Shade's surged forward. More out of bloodlust smelling Ethic's new wounds, then because the Twisted One said so. They beat at the barrier, clawing desperately. It began to grow weak, without an answer soon they would break through.

"Two are four times as powerful as one when they work together! Teamwork is Key when facing a difficult Enemy!"

Kenny, knowing that there wasn't much time left before Ethic could unleash his wrath, set up a second, weaker barrier right behind the first barrier, the latter of which broke just one second later.

Come on, Ethic, you can do this!

"EAT BLAZING DEATH, SHADOWS!"

and with that, he launched a Blast right at the Shadows, with the Auric Energy Flow to Ethic being inadvertently multiplied ten-fold due to the fact that the Resonant Frequencies of Aura and Arcana are only a few Hertz apart.

Kenny then got a headache so powerful that it nearly knocked him unconscious.

Ixidor's frog ride hurdle the wreckage before him and leaps on the side of wall sticking its feet on it as soon as he sees the chaos before him, "wow! you're agile mr.toad ok we got to help my friends.disarm that mean shade man!" he cried. As the toad's tongue extend in distance trying to take a hold of the shade's weaponry.

Kenny had no sooner recovered from the Headache than when the barrier collapsed.

"NOW, ETHIC!!!"

Kenny watched as the Shades came ever closer, and opened a portal that put him and Ethic on top of one of the nearby bookshelves so that the Focus of the Arcana Card Ethic was using was still aimed at the Shade controlling the others. then Ixidor showed up on the massive Amphibian.

"Glad you could join us, Ixidor!"

and with that, he was hit with another headache.
