Raindrop Valkyrie
Hawke-Wall Team "Aye lads, you heard her, get your asses in gear, we got a lot of work to do before you lot are ready. You too ladies." he shouted towards a group of ladies that seemed to be gossiping in the corner. With that one of them stood straight up, she seemed to the "leader" of their little group. Jupiter-Wall Team She stood there visually striking against the other wise bleak and dreary town. Her hair almost pure silver. Her Eyes 2 Emerald's sparking with a fervor Helzebeth had seen only a few times. She had just about as much passion in her eyes, as Odin did back before the battle with the Gentleman. The eyes of somebody willing to fight til the end for the village she loved. She wasn't very tall, but she almost looked as if she was 6 ft tall, just her presence alone made her feel like a giant. She was fit, she moved smoothly, but deliberately, there was little grace to her movements. She deftly notched an arrow to the simple longbow she was using, and quickly fired a shot. It whizzed by Hawke, seeming to not doing anything to the man. Then all of a sudden his trousers dropped to the ground. He quickly pulled them back up, looking very embarrassed. "Now, that a woman is in charge here, maybe we won't be ignored." she said, her eyes shooting daggers at Hawke. "Now that Brass is back you have the nerve to be trying to usurp who he put in charge, just to save your little ego." A face of horror came over Hawke's face, then it swiftly changed to anger. The brash boy was playing hero all this time, he didn't want to believe that the women would be more accomplished then he. He wanted to prove he was an asset to the village, all this thoughts weaved through his head. He grumbled, his inexperience as a leader clearly showing. Why Brass put confidence in this man was beyond Helzebeth, though she figured with how Brass operated that it was that he wasn't getting a full picture of what was going on. Hawke was obviously obfuscating the truth. As this mystery women(to Helzebeth as of now.) was clearly a better shot then he. Now she with her girls in tow, strided over. "I am Jupitar." she said in a soft silky voice. It was a stark contrast to her yelling earlier. She had that innocent sound to her voice, sweet, like she was always whispering sweet nothings in your ear. Her persense however somehow remained terrifying. Being near her felt like the air was hot with anger, and pain. It was probably due to the man downplaying her skills, just so they could steal the glory. Once again she stared daggers at Hawke, then a look of disgust came over her face. "If you want to play hero, remember you actually need to have the skills you claim to have." she snorting in a rather unlady-like way, mostly of out of disgust. "If it weren't for me you still wouldn't be able to hit the broad side of a barn. I am done staying under your shadow Hawke, I am done being strangled in your web of lies." Hawke had no words. He knew he had been had. He quickly shuffled away, disappearing somewhere in the crowd of men now gathering. Some had already began practice. Jupiter Looked at Helzebeth straight in her eyes. Her elemard eyes a storm of fervor and rage. Helze could tell it wasn't towards her though. With that a strange Bird sounded above. It was like nothing Helze had ever heard before. It landed quickly at Jupiter's feet, much to big to land on her shoulder or hand. It was evident to Helzebeth that this women was a ranger, though most likely self-taught, she might not even refer to herself as one. The Bird however was a terrifying sight. It had a long blue sash covering it's eyes, the tips of which were sown with a pattern of silver. It had a huge scar down it's side, ugly, a severe burn along with a puncture wound from a spear. It had beautiful Feathers, a rich earthy brown, almost the colour of Leather. "Perhaps, we should show what a real archer is?" she said to Helzebeth, playfully, with a wicked grin. ((by the way, yes you will find out more about this, strange Bird creature, as you can tell, it is no ordinary Bird. Considering it is at least as tall as Jupiter is, he is pretty big. [she is 5'4 for reference]. It isn't presay magical though so no it isn't op for a Ranger pet, it abides by the rules I set forth. The only time Ranger would even break my rules as a character will be if he is insanely powerful. {and one does not currently exist in my lore, for now.})) Edited June 3, 2014 by Hukuna
Zephyrus the Priestess
Helzebeth - Wall Team Ah. Now this, this was something indeed. Being somebody who men had once looked down upon when she was younger, she could understand the good woman's feelings. Lady Jupiter-- as she introduced herself-- had the appropriate skills as well as, perhaps, the persona that the half-Elf could work alongside. Somehow she couldn't appreciate the soft-spoken type of people easily enough. Even Hunter seemed to show respect for the archer, neither growling nor eyeing her suspiciously. The black fur on his body nearly stood on end in surprise however, as a monstrous bird landed by them. Its size and appearance confused him, and he approached it slowly and cautiously to get a sniff, just to familiarize himself with the new creature. The ranger felt she'd found a respectable partner in teaching these amateurs, and perhaps even a friendly rival or so of some sort in the fiery woman and held out her gloved hand, a small, angled smile spreading slowly on her lips. "With pleasure. My name is Helzebeth, and this is Hunter."
Raindrop Valkyrie
"Aye and this is Nemesis, hopefully she plays nice with Hunter." she returned a smile. "I feel you never seen her kind before, she is a Stilfies Conder, a rather interesting breed of bird that lives in the Shadowed Isles." Helzebeth didn't notice before, but Jupiter was clad in the same Leather armour by the men, however she wasn't wearing the big unwieldy boots. She was completely Barefoot. The Bird, could hear the Wolf approaching, not sure if he was doing so aggressively, Nemesis tensed a second. It was evident that if she wanted to she could reach out and horribly damage Hunter if he wasn't careful. But she relaxed, figure it would have attacked by now. Also feeling her owner's feelings towards Hunter's master she felt she was safe. The Bird shifted anytime Hunter came near the Nasty Burn on her side. Hunter decided it was best not to snoop around there. "Anyways, what say you to get these men in trained condition? My Girls can help out as well, though they will probably work with the absolute beginners, that way we can get some more well skilled archers up on the wall." She said, in her sweet voice. The venom from before was gone. It sounded so soothing to Helzebeth in a strange way. This Woman sounded nothing like one would believe, with all the fire in her eyes. It was a little freighting she could change gears so quickly as well. Not too many moments ago she was spewing hatred at poor Hawke, now she sounds like a dainty Flower. Would be a good idea to mark her name down on the "Don't Cross" list.
Zephyrus the Priestess
How strange this woman was. Helzebeth felt, for a girl, she herself didn't know much about women, not really having interacted with any often enough back on the Shattered Hills. Travelling with the group along the elven thief had been the longest time she'd got to be with another girl, and she never really bothered getting to know the pretty maiden much, as she was content with observing others from afar. She deemed it best to not question her fellow archer's footwear-- or lack thereof, as a result. There were other matters to discuss, and she didn't quite know what to expect from her, either. Stifles Conder, repeated the huntress mentally, in fascination. There was so much more to the wildlife on the Shadowed Isles-- or she'd just never really left home very much. That part about never having seen one before was true; she may have stumbled across the specie name in one of the books her father had back in their forest home, but she couldn't remember much about the magnificent bird-like creature. Hearing Lady Jupiter's suggestion, she agreed. "That sounds like an efficient plan of attack." The ranger thought for a while, then spoke up again. "How many men and women are experienced with the bow and arrow, and how many have no idea what they're doing?" Having had injuries himself once, Hunter could understand how the strange creature felt about its burn. Identifying it as some sort of avian-reptilian creature of some sort, he laid down once more by his master's feet and gave it some space, hopefully coming off as a friend and neither foe nor prey-- not that he would ever accept being viewed as prey. It was in his name-- he would and could never be prey. Thinking such a thought to himself, he held his great head high as he rested. Raindrop Valkyrie
The wind picked up blowing hardily, Nemesis's Sash flowing wildly in the wind, every once and awhile a glimpse of her milked over eyes could be seen. Why she had a sash over her blind eyes, hard to tell. Jupiter Looked at Helzebeth curiously. She had been paying attention to her talking, but she was fascinated by this women who stood before her. Definitely not for around these parts, but I like her, she is feisty. thought Jupiter to herself. "I would have to say the ones that can at least shoot straight over over there" she pointed to a rather sizable chunk of men, and a few women other than her "girls", as she called them. It was probably about a 100. Passthrough seemed like a small village at first glance, but Helze realized the actual size of it in this moment, there were so many people. She could only imagine how many more would be here if all the children and elderly and less-able were here. "The others, they need some work, but let the Harpies take care of it." she said, obviously meaning her girls. They were a pretty rough looking bunch for having Jupiter as their leader. Jupiter though only looked frail if you passed over her, those eyes they showed her real spirit. The Harpies however, looked the part. "No sense in them training with us, they would be over their heads, and then they would learn nothing." Jupiter said, a half-cocked smile on her face. Her energy really made up for her small frame. "Let's get to work Sister, oh and if you see Hawke, give him a hard-time for me, cause he better pray to what ever god he worships he isn't learning from me." she said, sweet as could be. It only slightly hid the venom in her voice.
Chim
Sigurd - Frontliners These Victonari are ridiculous. First Orpheaus showed off and then Brass scolding him like a little kid. Who do they think they are? He was Sigurd, son of Olaf, Chief of the strongest village in the harsh north where true men and warriors are raised. There is no place for the weak since they die from hunger and cold. The only way to survive is by hard work and raids. And Sigurd was proud to be a true Northman. He would show them what it means to challenge his pride and skills. He followed his companions without saying anything to Brass, but when Orpheaus gave them orders he didn’t move. “I may be stationed here because my skills are needed to defend this gate. But I don’t take any orders from you. I will help wherever I see fit, but only because I decide to do that,” he said with arrogance and venom in his voice. With that said he took off and helped the villagers with repairing things. Ever since Sigurd was old enough to help around in the village, he had been repairing and building fences. Before he became a Templar it was his only way to get food; by contributing whatever you can do for the benefit of the village. Even at the Temple he did most of the chores. Just you watch. I, Sigurd, son of Olaf, will start making a name for myself so that it may reach my village, the heavens and the Goddess Aelia. And I will make them proud. Raindrop Valkyrie
Orpheaus - Frontliners "I can't stop him, however I fear for him." Orpheaus said, a pained look on his face. Judging by the way he treated that Woman earlier, I think he has the idealism of being a hero stuck in his head. My brother was that way, and now he is dead, nothing good comes from this, only pain once they realize how bleak this world really is. Orpheaus thought to himself, he didn't voice it, though it would be evident to the others that something weighed heavily on his mind. Orpheaus sighs. "Promise, me you lot will look after him. Don't let his resolve crumble, if it does.......I fear he will be lost forever." A pained look came over his face as he said it, thinking of his adoptive brother, Armind. ((Orpheaus was actually adopted into Armind's family, just to make sure you guys know what I mean.)). It was evident he didn't want to talk about it. as He quickly tried to shift the subject. "Anyway, that wall, perhaps we should get moving?" With that he started to shuffle off. Bjorn and Chauff- Frontliners Sigurd was repairing a different patch of the wall with a few Elderly gentleman. Bjorn, an older man coming from the Lands of Aurora, and Chauff, a shifty-eyed old geezer, were the ones he was working with. "That fighting style is really silly, why two swords?" Chauff said, a whistle coming out of the gap in his teeth everytime he said an s sound. "Ack, because who the hell needs a good defense when you obliterate your foes before they can even hit you?" added Bjorn. "I guess, still silly though." Chauff said, not convinced. "Ack, if ye came from Aurora you would understand, we are hardy folk, and got time for the fancies of Armour and shields. We fight with what gets the job done, especially the Dervishes. The Wind Templars, all about movement and freedom of flow are whatever." Bjorn said confidently. "Oh, by Aelia's Tits, we are out of nails. Eh, Sigurd be a champ and come with me? Me old bones are a bit creaky, so be tough on my carrying all by myself." Chauff looked wounded. "What about me ya old goat?" Bjorn yelled in response "The last time I took you ya, didn't even carry a single nail, we just complained and wen to find food. Even the promise of Aelia's hand in marriage wouldn't get me to ask you anywhere again." "So what do ye say Sigurd?" Bjorn asked, a small grin on his face. Zephyrus the Priestess
Helzebeth - Wall Team Helzebeth gave that a thought and smiled a bit more. After all, who grew without a little bit of difficulty in their lives? "What's got him under your skin? It seems that he irks you most out of everybody here," she asked casually, beginning to move towards the group Lady Jupiter had pointed out. The wolf tailed the half-elf immediately after looking at the Stilfe curiously again, turning his attention back on Helzebeth afterward. Raindrop Valkyrie
Jupiter-Wall Team "Eh, he thinks he is a hot-shot. He means well, but I hate that type. Using the fact that they mean well to get out of any fault. He doesn't want the women to fight because he thinks we aren't prepared for war or whatever. He has seen just as little battle as us so it is all just a show. Makes me sick to my stomach." Jupiter said, that sickly-sweet tone in her voice. She crushed the dirt in-between her toes as she walked. Jupiter preferred being barefoot, felt more natural to her. She was actually surprised Helzebeth didn't ask her about it. Most people said it was unladylike to walk around with no shoes. Then Jupiter realized, people probably wouldn't consider Helzebeth all that Ladylike either. Just from the air that surrondeded her Jupiter flet like Helzebeth wasn't the girly girl type. Jupiter than changed her train of though saying "I should hope they stop gawking at Nemesis soon, even though she is blind, she can still feel them looking at her, she is getting very nervous. Nemesis isn't very good with people, considering what they did to her side." Jupiter had the feeling that Nemesis go hide herself for now, just get out of the way, and maybe the townsfolk would leave her alone. Nemesis, flew to a nearby rooftop feeling her masters concern. She agreed maybe it was best. She sat there her sash blowing in the wind. Now that she wasn't down in the field most of the villagers stopped staring. This was the first time they saw her, and she would be a dazing sight indeed. She looked Beautiful up there on the roof though, the ugly ravaged wound on her side barely visible. Notus
Marcus - Frontliners Marcus watched the workers as he followed Orpheaus. Personally he wasn't very fond of this kind of work - in his mind, warriors should do the fighting, and builders could fix their stuff for themselves. No need for one to mess up with another's job. There seemed to be no other way here though, seeing how few people they had and how damaged the walls were, so he decided to swallow his pride for the time being. "So Orpheaus, what can we do to help here?" he asked the Victonari. Edited June 3, 2014 by Notus
Raindrop Valkyrie
"We will just be shoring up the walls a bit, after that I guess you could ask around. I personally will be sparring with the better swordsmen. and Xavier no need to show them your style by the way. I doubt anyone here would grasp the concepts of being a Cinder Knight. But you can show them Swordsmenship, I am sure you learned the basics from your masters. I am not asking you to teach them a style, just what to do with what is in their hands.." He had a slight grin. "There is no way I could teach them My Gold Lotus style in this short a time either. It focuses on letting go the things that can hold us back, and that is no easy task.." Orpheaus didn't have Sunglimmer with him. The scabbard of the sword he carried now didn't match the metal. This was a simple stock sword that the other townfolk used. Even carrying a lot of the building supplies Orpheaus didn't seem too phased. He walked with a strange grace even now. He held himself much the way royalty did, but it was slightly different. They reached the spot, it was a huge hole. The heros most likely thought to themselves what the hell could have done this. It was evident that it wasn't some base undead. Perhaps it was the Infernal Bone Golems Brass mentioned, though he seemed to pass over them quickly if they were this powerful. "Alright Let's get started," Orpheaus placed one knee on the ground and held a board up. he held 4 of the nails in his mouth. He placed the Nail, and tapped it in with the hammer deftly, to get it too stick. He then hammered it in and repeated with each of the corners. He had obviously done this alot before, it was a bit off putting to be honest. Orpheaus gave off a sort of Kingly air, yet here he was in the dirt, doing the work of anyone other peasant. If it weren't for his Golden scales he would just look like a normal peasant man.
Ragnar
Akuma -Frontliners The Birdman picks up a bunch of wood planks as he goes handing them over to another worker, he then notice the captain of defense hammering away and it seems he is almost done. Akuma approach the golden victonari and put his hand on its shoulders "So your not wearing your fancy metal eh? don't like putting dirt on its shine i see." as he chuckles. " You sure have an interesting bunch here captain.. I should know ive been traveling with some for awhile." he looks around at his allies. "I should say, a captain doing a commoners job, you sure know how to adapt... well i should stop blabbering like a fool and finish the repair, the sooner we finish this the sooner i get to smash things." as Akuma glides away to work. Notus
Marcus-Frontliners A sigh later, Marcus stepped started to work. He grabbed some more planks nd started hammering them into what - he thought - would be the best places to fix the hole in the wall. He quickly got bored and started wandering what kind of songs would be made to the brave "Wall Fixing Heroes". Than young Cinder Knight decided to throw a question at Orpheaus in order to ward off the boredom. "So, what in the name of Pyron opened this hole? I want to make the damn thing pay for giving us all this trouble."
Chevaleresse
Xavier looked the patch-in-progress over. He grunted to himself, and picked up a couple planks along with the requisite nails and hammer. Instead of patching the larger hole, he started laying boards in specific places along the existing patch, measuring with his hands and the hammer to place the boards just so. He interrupted Marcus to correct him. "That shouldn't go there, it'll distribute the forces all wrong. Put it here, and make sure it's straight," he said, gesturing. Jory
Dru sighed as he drank in the aromatic tea that Brass had prepared for the two of them. He marveled in its gentle scent, both airy and distinct. "I am impressed, Brass. You had not stricken me as a connoisseur of teas." He chuckled to himself. "It should not have surprised me. In each of my travels I have met someone who has introduced me to a new tea. I would be honored to share in this again."I do not like to generalize, but I would like to know more about your people," Dru said, sincerity evident in his gaze. "The exchange of culture is a forgotten art."
Raindrop Valkyrie
Orpheaus-Frontliners "This one in particular, not sure." Orpheaus said in reply to Marcus. "Most likely an Infernal Bone Golem, those things are going to be a pain. Be careful using fire around them, I know you CInder Knights are very capable, but they are imbued with Cursed Flames. So try and refrain using Fire near them otherwise, they may seep into your minds." Orpheaus had deep concern on his face. He had seen it happen once, wasn't pretty. He watched as the man turned, slowly, painfully, and became an even worse monster. It was an event that stuck out in Orpheaus's mind almost as visibly as the death of his own brother. "You will know the beasts when you see them, they are disgusting tangles of bones from a myriad of beasts and Humanoid races. A horrid Ebon Flame burns in their centers, and licks the bones around it colouring them black. The only good turn of events is that we haven't seen many of them, so we are hopefully won't see any or maybe 1 or 2." "Also, Akuma pardon me for not answering sooner, but my armour isn't really made for anything short of battle. I only had it on this morning since I was rallying the troops when you arrived. It does them good to see somebody leading them, though I still don't know if I am cut out for this. It had been hard without Brass around, he is the one they really trust around here. But they see Brass put his faith in me, and then they can put theirs in me as well." he sighed. he continued into his work then, just dropping the conversation, it wasn't to be rude, but he retreated into himself for a second. He continued diligently working, hammering board after board. Brass-Wall Team "I fear, I don't know much of my people." Brass said, his Granite voice seeming to crack a little. It was abundantly clear he was telling the truth. "I don't know much of my past before this place either." Brass stood up for a second and looked out of the tent flaps. "I have lived here my life that I can remember. I was raised as any other human child. I knew I was different having scales, unlike the other children, but I had no idea what I was. It wasn't until Orpheaus happened to show up one day that I learned there were others like me." Brass had that nostalgic look on his face, the one people had when remembering something like it was yesterday. "He had been running from something, it was evident by the way he entered town. He looked ragged. It was then when the Undead jumped out. It wasn't anything too powerful, but back then Orpheaus wasn't as strong as he was now. He was about to be over taken, when I happened to reach out, I thought I was talking to myself in my head, yelling for someway to save this man. And that was the first time the Earth moved for me. It heard my cry, and shattered the undead beasts chasing him." he walked back and sat. "All I know of my people are the teachings of Magnus, The Shaker of Worlds. Orpheaus taught me of him after seeing how the Earth moved at my command. He never told me what he saw in me, but from that day forward we had always been friends." Brass looked down at his cup, it was empty, he deftly poured himself a new cup. It was strange to see how swiftly and gracefully the Giant moved. Brass looked as if he moved the world would shake, and yet he still had the grace of a dancer. "I guess I didn't really hold up my end, Stone Brother, but no matter, I would still love to hear of your people." he said, a gentle smile on his lips. Zephyrus the Priestess
Helzebeth - Wall Team Lady Jupiter's words about Hawke played in the girl's mind. Men like that... She had to resist rolling her eyes and wrinkled her nose instead. Chauvinistic pigs like that disgusted her-- those who used it as a front were far worse. To put a stop to the irritation she felt, which reflected in the growls Hunter had began to make, the huntress thought about Nemesis. "She's a beautiful creature though, I'll give her that," breathed Helzebeth, who'd always had a soft spot for beasts to begin with-- she had only vague memories of her beautiful elven mother and her beloved father had... Well, upped and gone too soon. They were, perhaps, the only non-beast beings whom she'd even consider as her family. In truth as well, despite her elven heritage, she felt a sort of kinship with the dwarf-father, Odin-- which she thought of as strange, but he seemed to be a decent man, unlike the rude minutemen in the villages outside or underneath her forest home. The ranger grinned a bit more as she looked at Hunter, who in turn, looked up at her, feeling her pride surge-- pride, and something akin to mischievous glee. "On the other hand, I like seeing the looks on people's faces when they're blessed with a chance at feasting their eyes on Hunter, here. He is, perhaps, one of the largest of his breed of wolf out there." The big wolf held its head and tail high in pride, which looked amusing for such a gruff and tough-looking beastly hound. Raindrop Valkyrie
Jupiter-Wall Team Jupiter hadn't really been paying much attention to Hunter until now. She looked at him now and studied him. He was definitely larger than your average Timber Wolf or any mundane breed of the species. She wondered if he was a Dire Wolf, but she quickly quelled those thoughts, there were none of the distinct marking is Hunter's fur to say so. "I would love to him during the hunt, I bet it would be a beauty to watch." Jupiter said, a beautiful smile on her face. Jupiter couldn't help but let her mind wonder, who was this girl? she was very interesting. Helzebeth was like no one she had ever met before. She wanted to know more about her, however she didn't think it was the time to ask. It probably showed on her face a little. You know, that look that someone gives when they are about to say something, but hold it back. Even for Winter, it was a warm day. Jupiter enjoyed the feeling of the cool earth on her feet, it felt only natural. "Helze, I hope we get through this battle." Jupiter said out of nowhere. "If we do both make it, Do you mind if I tag along? I don't mean to impose, but after this place is safe, I don't think they will need me anymore. And you are the closest thing I have met to kindred spirit my entire life, it would be a shame to not get to know you better." It was evident she had strong feelings about this, as Nemesis shifted above, she became slightly restless, wanting to move to her master, but not wanted to rile the townsfolk again. Chim
Sigurd - Frontliners Sigurd was laughing hard at the old geezers’ discussion. He found them very entertaining and still had a smile on his face when Bjorn asked Sigurd to get some nails with him. He was about to follow the old man, when he turned back and faced Chauff. “Why I use two swords? Watch me in battle and you’ll know,” he said with a grin. “And it’s just like your friend said. We, men from Aurora, believe plain steel gets the job done.” He unsheathed his swords and showed them to the man. “Beautiful, aren’t they? These treasures allow me to cut down twice the amount of enemies at the same time. That’s why I dual-wield; freedom of movement and fast attack power. There is no need to hide behind a shield. All men die in battle; just give them a quick and honorable death.” He put his swords back and looked at Bjorn. “Now about those nails; just show me the way.”
Raindrop Valkyrie
Bjorn and Chauff- Frontliners "Aye, just follow me Sigurd." Bjorn said, his face a beaming smile. Chauff lit his pipe and put it into his mouth, "I am coming with ya guys, I am going to get bored if I just sit here." Chauff said in his slow voice. "And I guess those are nice swords, look better than most of the ones around here." he added quickly. "Don't worry though, we will be cheering you on from the sidelines. Not that I like any of you guys, I just need somebody to keep my house from being destroyed." "By Aelia's Tits you are an insufferable man sometimes Chauff." Bjorn added, along with his cheery mirth. "Not my fault they are fighting impossible odds, I mean got to look at the facts." Chauff added. this back and forth went on for a bit as they walked into town to get to the church. Bjorn, a funny old man, had a brilliant white beard, and had a few white whiskers left up top. He was still pretty well built for a man his age, probably still made an effort to stay fit. Chauff was a squirrely fellow, he was mostly skin and bone except this pot belly. He was almost entirely bald, but had a small ratty moustache, a Dark Grey in colour. He had a very dry sense of humour. Although it didn't look like it at first glance, these two geezers were good pals. They were pretty inseparable. They had arrived, Bjorn picking up to buckets full. After shooting Chauff a dirty look, Chauff grabbed one. "Hopefully we can get these walls patched up soon, I imagine you would like to stretch out your muscles before your battle." Bjorn said, jolly as could be. "Yea, wouldn't want to pull a calf, that wouldn't be good." added Chauff. "Ack, shut yer yap ya weasel." remarked Bjorn. "What? Only stating the truth, honest." replied Chauff. Before they could leave however, a kid came out of the Church, seeing Sigurd he charged straight at him. "Are you you a Fighter like Mister Orpheaus too?" he asked, coming to a abrupt stop. He was a boy, probably around 7. He had Auburn Brown hair, and Brown eyes to match. Zephyrus the Priestess
Helzebeth - Wall Team Helze...? The girl in question looked at the other woman curiously, realizing that, oddly enough, she had not many qualms about the idea. Lady Jupiter was respectable and an interesting sort, sharing similar ideas with the half-elf. It also was the second time around that her name had been shortened... Affectionately, it seemed, as a nickname. There was something pleasant about it, now that she'd thought about it. Well, why in Graterras not, then? And what ever was it like to have a dear friend... A sister, a (human) companion? Her eyes lit up in delight at the thought, reminiscent of sunlight breaking through dark rain clouds at the end of a rampaging storm. "Sister, we will get through this battle-- hell, I'll be damned if we don't conquer the horde that approaches." Helzebeth said this with utmost confidence-- it might have been, for her part, her pride, but she truly did believe in the archer. "And, it is quite lonely being the only one wielding a bow and arrow in the group." The ranger never was quite good at being sentimental or expressing her feelings, but her enthusiasm showed-- there was a sort of spring to her step, and even Hunter's tail seemed to wag a bit. Ragnar
Akuma- Frontliners "Really now?" as Akuma raise a brow as he hammers away "Well you sure convince me my friend, i'm motivated." as he comes closer to Victonari and help him fill the gaps "don't be hard on yourself Orpheaus, raging at your self doesn't end well, i know I've been there." he said with a playful smile. "I'm sure that loud mouth dirt thrower brother of yours is quite the tactician and has chosen the right man for the job to lead the defense..." as he pause his hammering and pointed it out to the golden victonari "and don't tell him i said that." as he release a friendly chuckle to lighten the mood. Raindrop Valkyrie
Orpheaus- Frontliners Orpheaus chuckled. "Aye thank you friend." as he continued to work. "Hearing that helps me more than you can imagine. Knowing that even someone who just met me, still believes in me, and more importantly, all of us." He looked at the Kenku man. He his Bio-tech arm, the missing eye, they told Orpheaus volumes about this man even without having to directly ask him. He had been trough his own trails. Orpheaus could only imagine what those were, seeing the state of the man standing before him. He was this damaged by it, and yet he still stands, a resilient spirit. That or a rash one. Orpheaus had the feeling it was actually both though. "And don't worry about Brass, he is a big talker, but he has a good heart. Just be happy he is in-charge of the wall and the archers." Jupiter-Wall Team A tear rolled down her cheek. It was the first time someone had ever called her that, Jupiter had always wanted a sister. Being born into a family with 5 brothers what more could a girl want? "Don't worry my bow is always here for you." She wiped the tears from her cheeks, "Guess, it is time to let our arrows pierce the Heavens. Let's give these Undead bastards hell." she said, that Emerald flame burning in her eyes, once again. ((was burned out a little first time writing Jupiter's section, edited it too make it a little better.)) Edited June 4, 2014 by Hukuna
Notus
Marcus-Frontliners "Oh, right." Marcus answered Xavier, changing the plank to the place his fellow Templar indicated. He listened to Orpheaus advice and than turned to Xavier. "You look like you've got experience in doing this. Where did you learn it? I can't remember engineering being part our training."
