The officer looked at them with a panicked expression.

"Sh-she's through this door and down the stairs. There's a hallway, and the cell's at the end. Please, just don't kill us!"

The bartender showed no expression in response to Viktor's statement.

"Ah," he began. "So you're one of them, eh? The 'Awakened' as I believe they've been called?" He held up his hands. "Relax, though. I'm not as judgmental as others. I think it's the person that really matters, not what extra talent they may have." He smiled. "Best of luck to you in your new job. God knows what they put you people through."

[Chevaleresse]

"Those men said something about a pyrokinetic girl, and it sounded like she was being held somewhere. It's got to be Rebecca! And besides, it's the only lead we have! I think we should follow them."

"Sounds like a plan to me. I'd follow at a good distance, though; definitely willing to bet that they've got guns, and I don't think I'm faster than a bullet. They probably wouldn't shoot us, but avoiding firearms never hurt anyone." Allen peered at the men, waiting for them to move.

[Ragnar]

"You heard the man...go right ahead, ill catch up" Ace said to Kenny.Ace takes pity on the police officer as he disassembles the glock into pieces and delivers a swift roundhouse kick to officer; knocking the policeman out cold. surely he wasn't about to murder someone in cold blood just for the sake of the mission.

[Arkhi]

"Actually... I'll be heading out on...'business' later today. I think it would be quite interesting for the both of us if you tagged along. How 'bout it?" Hades asked, that voice ever so vile.
Keaton smiled a false grin, dying on the inside. "Ah... Well, if you need me, I can't refuse. Anywho, I should get to eating," he hurriedly said. The facility couldn't be so huge that food is isolated to one small area.
He found his way to a mess hall, eating a quick meal, then walked the path back to his room.

OOC:

I wouldn't want to keep the story with such a clear contradiction, so it's quite rushed. Also, I want my character available for the story.

"Nothing in particular is setting me off, Bev. How about you?"

Beverly leaned her head in so she could whisper in Lux's ear

"No, not really. That man sitting alone in the corner kind of freaked out a bit at his phone. Though that's most likely nothing. Probably got caught cheating or something. Well at least if any stories I have read hold truth."

[Jory]

Lux turned his head so it was facing roughly thirty degrees from where the man in question was sitting and observed him using his peripheral vision, leaning over to whisper in Beverly's ear once more. "That guy looks like he just saw a ghost. There's something more to him than what's going on here, that much is clear. Let's make sure we keep an eye on him. The last thing we want is this party to be ruined before we can extract the information from the government contact. Maybe we should make contact with The Bartender. He might know where to start," the young man said, brushing his cheek against his partner's to keep up appearances. "So, Bev, can I buy you a drink?"

[Chim]

Eugene nodded in agreement with Allen’s statement. He was scared out of his wits and decided to walk last in the group. That way he could hide quickly before an enemy could spot him. He waited for Beetle to lead them as he looked around him, completely paranoid and nervous.

[Supernovae]

It appeared Jude's suspicions were correct. He wasn't the only looking for the girl. Up ahead their was a man, wearing a leather motorcycle jacket, and an unconscious police officer. Jude reached for his sword and leaned against the wall, ready to phase through if he needed to.

"You there," he called out to the man in the leather jacket, "Are you one of God's awakened children?"

[Ragnar]

"Yeah, whats it to yah!?" Ace smugly said as he observes the new comer, and thinks to himself, why is this man is carrying a sword and why is leaning on the wall? surely this man has something up in his sleeves.

"You seem to lost buddy, this isn't the renaissance fair..." Ace said as he pulls out cigarette and lights it up. "We're just here to retrieve something.. got a problem with that pal?" Ace cockily said to the man.

[Supernovae]

Jude cringed at the man's attitude. "Such a pity, to throw away your gifts for nothing." Jude sighed, "I have no quarrels with you, though I do believe that you have strayed from the path our lord set for us, that is not my mission now. No, my master requires a girl who have been blessed as we have. If you've seen her please point me in her direction. If not then stand aside."

[Ragnar]

"Oh boy, it seems we do have a problem" Ace sighed. "I don't know what your deal is, but It seems we came here for the same reason" Ace said as he flicks away his cigar. "the girl we're looking for is right pass this door...but sorry to disappoint you but that girl is coming with us, for you see, there's your 'god's' plan.... and then there is our plan, so why don't you just turn around and leave."

"So, Bev, can I buy you a drink?"

"Sounds good, though I'm not fond of alcohol so a grape soda would be good." Beverly said happily.

Then leaned in a bit and said with a whisper "If you want to take to our Bartender friend you might be better off doing that when there isn't someone there already. O and be careful about touching my skin to much you never know you might end up remembering something bad."

[Jory]

Lux nodded, kicking himself for not thinking about the man already at the bar. "You're right. Let's give it a little bit of time. Meanwhile, we should begin to look for the informant. And by the way, thanks for reminding me. My past isn't a place I'd like to revisit anytime soon," he reasoned. "Where do you think we should start?"

[K_H]

Kenny had already gone to the girl's Cell when Ace started talking with Jude, and Kenny used his Aura to first destroy any security cameras, and then cut through the Door hinges and the Lock. He then pulled the Door out of its Frame, and spoke.

"Let's go, there's no time to explain other than the fact that i'm busting you out of here!"

[Supernovae]

Jude removed his cloak to reveal his face to his fellow awakened. He wasn't as dirty as he was when he had met Zweiss, but his look was still intimidating. A grizzled beard, a face covered in scars, and eyes as fierce as lions made up the face of the Utopian warrior and that face was now focused on the man who stood in his way.

"I see. I have no desire to spill holy blood today, so perhaps instead of killing you I can interest you in another offer." Jude started to walk to the man in the motorcycle jacket, keeping his hands on his own sword. "I know of a place. It is safe for people of our kind, the chosen people. This place has a leader of course and I have seen within him an end to our conflict, an end to the suffering of our people. His gift is like none that I have seen, his courage and prowess for combat are beyond admirable. He is a gift, you see, a gift to our people, to allow us to sit upon the throne of the world, where our Lord has intended for us to be all along." At this point Jude was fairly close to the man, "I offer you this; help me take this girl back to the safe haven and perhaps you can join us as the chosen kings of this world."

[Ragnar]

Ace felt uneasy as the scarred man walk towards him with his unsheathed sword and offers him somesort of a proposition... to join this so called haven and to serve this unknown messiah. shit i didn't sign up for this, I just came here for one reason and one reason alone..to free the girl and get the hell out of here, Sterling didn't tell me that i have to deal with some religious nutjob. Ace thought to himself.

"How about no.." Ace wryly said as he strongly disagrees. "no offense buddy, but you're starting to creep me out...besides i already have group" Ace said as he looks at the man. "don't worry we'll get the girl out of here alright, but handing her to your group.. no more like a cult... well, you have another thing coming."

"I've warned you once, just walk away man..." Ace said, a bit peeve off as ground begins to tremble and vibrate, as if a jet was about to take off, surely anything that is standing this close will get blown away by it.

There was a note left in Keaton's room when he returned. It was very short simply stating:

Come to my lab when you're ready to leave.

"Hades"

There was a knock on the lab door. Hades stepped away from his worktable and strode over to open it. It was Keaton. That boy. What was he doing here again...? -Oh right, he'd invited him to join him on his trip. He figured the kid could use some fun in his day.

"Oh. Hello, Keaton." Hades stepped aside from the doorway, granting Keaton a full look of the room as he returned something from one of his pockets to a drawer. The room was cold, not unbearably, but noticeably chilly. There were multiple lab tables, filled with computers and equipment, but the most disturbing thing was... the bodies. There were three bodies visible in the room, all clearly dead. Two were laid out on tables, all sorts of wires and equipment hooked up to various parts of them, while the third was strapped to the right wall. The back wall resembled a morgue, with all sorts of large drawers built in. Hades simply strode around as if nothing was unusual.

"Are you ready to go, then?" Hades asked, returning to the doorway. "You may want to grab a gun or something on the way out. You might need it. But first... any questions?"

Just as Ace was about to let loose, more people burst into the room. Beetle ran in, followed by his grandfather, Allen, Alice, Eugene, and Nexus. He looked at the scene in front of them, a shocked look on his face. He managed to utter a simple question in his shock to the unfamiliar faces.

"Um... What's up?"

[Supernovae]

"Ah, so you're not alone," Jude said his eyes still glaring at the man in the motorcycle jacket. Jude took another step toward the man, he was preparing an attack it seemed, but Jude was not wavered. He knew that the gift God had bestowed upon him would protect him from any attack. "It is of no consequence." Jude was now close enough to feel the ground vibrating, hell he was close enough to feel the man's breath on his face. "Just remember this. When the forsaken children of God turn against our people, when we are persecuted for being the righteous few blessed enough to wield these gifts, when the corpses of the Awakened scatter across the Earth, Utopia will be there."

Jude finally let a sly smirk, "You may not realize it yet, but your destiny lies within Utopia. You may still have fear, I understand, I too had the same fear. Then I was blessed, the Lord himself called to me. He told me I must be his right hand. That I must serve him in order to aid my people. And if I serve him then perhaps my people, our people, could finally find our salvation. That is my destiny, my purpose and I will not fail the Almighty."

Jude gave the man one more stare, it only lasted a second, but his eyes said one thing to the man. Stay the hell out of his way. When the second had passed Jude took one more step forward. Then another. Before Ace could know it, Jude had passed through his body and was walking away from him. He didn't turn around once, he didn't even pause. Jude had but one mission now, he would find the girl and if the others interfered than they would be dealt with.

[Ragnar]

"Great just great."Ace muttered as he saw more and more people arrives at the scene.

who are these guys? what's taking Kenny so long to find this girl? guess i have to stall these people a bit more. Ace thought to himself and assumes that these newcomers are also here for the same reason. just before he could react, he feels a shiver down his spine as the rugged swordsman phase through his body, like there was nothing in his path and went straight ahead. Surely this will compromise their mission if that man get to the girl first before they do.

"Hey bub, i think your going the wrong way, the exit is that way." with that, in a blink of an eye, Ace teleport dash towards the door with incredible speed as the cloaked swordsman was blasted away by the trail of immense shockwave that follows, leaving a loud deafening sound that echoes through the compact room. Ace stops and blocks the man's path.

Beverly smile slightly faltered when she heard Lux's statement. " Don't worry my power doesn't quite work like that. Though a past is nothing one should wish to forget. It means you have a story not everyone has one of those, or its just a blank for them. I think you had the right idea earlier mingling would be a good idea. Unless you know anything more about the informant or whatever we are hear for." She said with the smile back on her face though her voice having lost a little of the cheer in it.

[Jory]

Lux noticed the drop in cheer in Beverly's voice and laughed, pulling her toward a group of people. "Why so sour? Are you gonna be able to be your usual charming self?" he asked lightly, bumping her with his elbow. "I need you to make these people like you. And we all know I'm not the best on that front," he said, again making sure to lighten the mood. "Let's talk to these people," he said quickly. They approached the group, waiting for Beverly to play the part of the socialite.

Beetle stood speechless as the two unfamiliar men went about there conflict.

"One can phase through things, and the other has superspeed? That's at least what it seems like, meaning that I'm completely outmatched. Though maybe the others can do something, if it comes to that... I hope it doesn't."

Nexus tapped Beetle's shoulder. There was a portal on the floor behind the group, leading to the floor below. A smile came across Beetle's face. It appeared they wouldn't need to start a conflict after all. If they moved quickly, they might get to Rebecca before these other guys, wherever she was, and be able to get out as well.

"Let's go guys!" Beetle said. "This is our chance!"

A man stepped into Kenny's path. Kenny couldn't be sure where he'd come from, as he hadn't passed anyone on the way in. The man was tall and extremely muscular, wearing a cut-off with camo pants and combat boots. He had short blonde hair, and wore sunglasses, despite being indoors. He had a grin on his face.

"Running away with my prisoner, huh? And just who do you think you are?"

Jude picked himself off the ground and stared again at the man in the motorcycle jacket. "This will be the last time I turn a blind eye. Come at my again and only the lord will be able to save you."

Jude began walking forward again, this time his steps seemed more irritated. He did just as he had done before and phased directly through the speedster, continuing down with the path without any hesitation.

[Snap Crackle Pop]

Alice had to hold back a laugh, seeing the portal Nexus conjured behind them. That is so useful. She wasn't looking forward to having to force their way through the two people in front of them, both of whom would likely be very hard to hit or contain. Without saying anything she took some steps back through the portal.

Kenny looked a bit affronted as the man before him spoke. Kenny then responded to the man in front of him, clearly annoyed.

"I don't know who you are, but just get out of my way before I do something unforgivable."
