The voice entered Anver's mind again.

"Sure thing, buddy. But as fun as it would be to fight all these guys, I don't think that would be a wise decision. Let's just get you out of here."

The outline of Anver's body began to glow blue, and he was suddenly lifted into the air. He was carried several blocks over the buildings before being set down on another rooftop.

"Phew, that's exhausting work. Especially from so far away," the voice said. "Still, you should be relatively safe for a while. Head down the door behind you and through the building to get back to the ground. I already checked to make sure the building was empty, so you should be good to go. Try to be more careful next time..." The voice said the last part playfully as it began to fade out of Anver's mind.

"How did we get here? Did you... teleport us here? That would make you one of us, wouldn't it? So why have you brought me here?"

The man's face took on a confused look for a moment. "Why, of course we teleported here," he said simply. "How else would we have gotten up here? As for why I brought you here..." The man chuckled. "Would you rather I had left you down there with the police?"

The bug seemed jubilant, or at least slightly happier -- If that was possible for a bug -- as Alice approached. It did a small loop in the air in celebration. It stopped celebrating when the police's voices came into earshot. The bug flew through a pile of brush, before flying back and knocking itself into Alice. It flew a short distance over the brush and waited for her.

The bug's enthusiasum was contagious, and Alice couldn't help but grin slightly at the idea of following a bug in such a serious situation. When she heard the voices of the officers, Alice decided to place her faith into the insect and she followed it into the cover- one of the few times she was glad for her small stature. A part of her was still somewhat cautious around it, but she decided that it didn't seem directly hostile, she was glad that she didn't squash the bug earlier, but the thing was still an enigma.

King Murdoc

A young woman walked up by Allen at the hotel. She had dark brown hair tied back in a ponytail, and a pretty face. She was wearing a pink t-shirt, jean shorts and tennis shoes. She stared in the same direction Allen had been looking.

"Doesn't really seem fair, does it?" She said, a playful smile on her face. "You're thinking about it, aren't you? How you could be at home, living peacefully if only these police would stop pestering you." She sighed. "I know the feeling." She looked up at Allen, being a several inches shorter than him. "I know what you're thinking again. To answer those thoughts, no, my power isn't mind-reading. I'm just good at judging people. Either that or you're pretty bad at hiding your emotions." She laughed a little, before holding up her palm. There was a small ball of flame floating just over it. She tossed it to her other hand. "No, I'm a pyromancer of sorts. Not the strongest of the Awakened for sure, but not exactly weak." She paused for a while, before speaking again. "So, are you planning on staying here?" she asked, motioning towards the hotel.

"Here's the plan bub...give me one of your finest cold pint and keep em coming until i pass out. don't ask, lets just say my troubles are catching up to me.

The bartender nodded. "Sure thing. I'll give you the coldest we've got." The bartender turned back to the shelf, grabbing a pint glass and filling it. He turned and slid it down to Ace. The liquor was completely frozen, with ice gathered at the sides of the glass. The bartender gave a knowing look and leaned down by Ace.

"As a bartender, you really learn to judge people. And I can tell you're not the average customer. You've got a talent, just like me. How about we get out of here a talk a little, eh? I'm sure I know some people who could help you out." He stood back up, grabbing a cloth and began wiping the bar, just as he did every day. He turned to Ace casually, as if he hadn't said anything. All he did was raise an eyebrow in question.

The bug quickly flew farther into the woods as Alice followed it. After a few minutes, they arrived at a stone monument of some sort, overgrown with vines and moss. There was a glowing purple circle on the side of the monument, a swirling mix of energy. The bug flew into it and disappeared. After a few seconds, it came back through, bumping into Alice before flying back into the "portal." The sounds of the police were growing louder as they approached.

Well, I guess it doesn't lead to imminent death.. Alice tried convincing herself to step through the portal, her heart was pounding. A small part of her was admiring the purple colour contrasting with the rock and the foliage, but that part was told to shut up. She was stuck between a hard spot and a glowing purple spot-- great. Hearing the officers coming nearer, she knew she was out of time. Alice steeled herself and closed her eyes. She took a few steps back and then sprinted into the portal, hoping her little friend (of sorts) was out of the way.

A huge grin grew on Jude's face as Zweiss explained who he was, either he was lying or fate had truly bestowed him with a great gift. The pain in his shoulder was gone and this group, Utopia he called it, was what Jude was waiting for, hoping for, praying for, as soon as he began his mission.

Jude quickly sheathed his sword and took off his cloak, revealing his face. The skin on his face was dirty, with some of it being hidden by a grizzled beard. Deep cuts and gashes also covered his face, though none were as noticeable as a deep scar that moved from the base to the top of his left cheek. But, despite the scars, the dirt, the cuts and the beard the most noticeable part of Jude's face were his eyes. Despite the ordinary brownness in color Jude's eyes were different than most. They were hardened, and fierce capable of piercing through the hearts of men. These eyes, were the eyes of lions.

"If your mission is to persecute the people who were not chosen for greatness, then consider yourself my ally." Jude said staring at Zweiss, his smile was less prominent now, he knew he couldn't let petty emotions control him. "Take me to this Utopia, and together we will carve out the future our people deserve."

Eugene was scared. The police had found him while he was searching for food in trashcans. On his very first day on the run he was scammed out all of his money. He had no food, water or a place to sleep and a part of him just wanted to give up. But he kept running. He was too scared about what might happen if they caught him.

And now he was running again. It was all he knew. After all he had been running away from his problems his entire life. He ran as hard as he could, which wasn’t that fast, while the police yelled something at him. Too scared to listen, he took a left and came eye to eye with a fence. He knew he couldn’t climb it or turn back. The left was a dead end. Trashcans were standing in front of a big wall with graffiti drawings on it. Can’t go that way.
Eugene turned to the right and after only a few meters he saw he ran into a trap. Police cars had barricaded the only exit. The officer closest to him yelled instructions. Eugene did what he said and raised his hands. It’s over. I’m done. They are going to torture me and kill me slowly. And why? I never did anything to them. I never harmed anyone. Not even my bullies because I was too scared. And now I’m going to die… No. Not yet.

Eugene had no idea where that resolution came from but he refused to give in. He stopped his hands mid-way and closed his eyes to focus. 15 seconds is all I need. Small blue ripples started moving at Eugene’s sides. Some moved forwards, other backwards. He could see them even with his eyes closed and when he opened them, he was in front of the fence. The only way to get away was go over the fence. But he couldn’t climb it in 15 seconds. Desperate he looked for another way and found one. At his left, by the trashcans, was a small opening in the fence. Eugene moved a trashcan in front of it before crawling through on his hands and knees. He was just on time. As soon as he started running again, he could hear the police yelling in surprise as they ran into each other.

Four minutes later Eugene found a junkyard. He looked around a bit for a safe spot and saw a bunch of old cars waiting to get demolished. He crawled into the back seat of the middle one and felt his body freeze. Eugene prayed he the police wouldn’t find him for at least one hour and fifteen seconds, because without his power, he wouldn’t stand a chance.

"Well.. thanks for that, whoever you are" with that, Anver took the voices advice and headed through the door way behind him and down the stair case until he hit the ground floor. he walked up to the front doors of the place and exited onto the sidewalk, pulling one of the many call encrypted, un-traceble burner phones he kept on his person.

He dialed the number for his old associate, Alan McCoy.

"Alan..." he said into the speaker as he continued walking

"Yeah?" Alan answered

"There's been a change of plans, my friend..."

"Yes, I saw that from the Cafe window... good God, Anver, they must really have wanted to take you down, sending that many cops..."

"Well then..." Anver paused looking around at the various shops... he spotted a dinner just across the way...

"Alan, you know where the Ramse Dinner is?"

"Yeah."

"Good... Meet me out back in ten. and remember to bring what I need."

With that, Anver ended the conversation, then heated up the phone in his hand, causing it to combust and then slowly burn away into scrap and fused plastic, just like it's namesake. he cooled it down, causing the fire to die, then tossed the phone into a nearby trash can. He crossed the street, the cop cars now out of sight, and walked behind the dinner into the back alley where it kept it's dumpster, and waited for his old friend to arrive with the goods.

"Quite the sweet talker aren't you? are you hitting on me? sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not into that kind of thing bub." as Ace release a smirk while he reached out for his pint.

"Kidding aside pal...I'm just here to drink this pint and waiting for all of this to blow ov... " as he stop in the middle of his sentence and was quite surprise after he felt a chill around his drink. He notice his drink was frozen solid as he began his suspicion about the bartender.

hmm.. another one? well this is getting interesting.. as Ace grins.

"Welp since i can't drink my beer.. might as well have this little talk of yours...so lead the way bub, By the way my name's Ace."

The young man simply glared at the tall, thin man for a moment before speaking again, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "Since you knew where to find me, I'll bet you know my name and what I can do. You know those cops were closer to a toy than a threat for me. Even with your power, you would have a hard time fighting against someone like me. After all, what good is teleportation if you can't see where you're going?" Lux began to pace, working out his situation. "You brought me to a rooftop." He stopped and looked at the warming, energizing sun. "If you had any desire to kill or capture me, you would have taken me to a darker place. Somewhere my powers wouldn't let me slice you in half like a knife through hot butter." He turned back toward the strange man. "And besides that, you didn't answer my original question. So I'll rephrase for you: What is your name and what is your offer?"

Alice appears in a small room. The room was well lit, and she could see that the walls, ceiling and floor were all made of stone. There was a small, square table near the middle of the room, where two men sat, playing cards. They were still young, in their early twenties. A couch was positioned in front of a small TV screen, and there was a computer and desk in the corner. A small staircase led down to a lower level. The two men at the table turned to face Alice. One had short blonde hair and was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans. The other wore a black hooded sweatshirt, obscuring his face. The blonde man spoke first. He had a friendly face and was smiling.

"Oh, you made it! I'm glad Cross was able to find you." Upon seeing her confusion, the man cleared it up, looking embarrassed. "O-oh, um, Cross is the box elder bug you followed... He's a friend of mine." He held up a finger. From the corner of the room, the bug flew over and landed on his finger. "You see, we're Awakened -- just like I'm sure you are, if that many police were after you. My name's Bryan, but everyone around here calls me Beetle. I can sort of... communicate with insects." He jabbed a thumb at the guy across from him. "This is Nexus. Even I don't know his real name, but he's the one who made the portal you just came through. He doesn't talk much, but he's a good guy." He held up two fingers. "There are two more of us who aren't here right now -- Rebecca, who can control fire and my grandfather, who can move around dirt, soil, rocks -- pretty much anything in the earth. He's the one who built this place. This whole building is underground -- right beneath that monument you saw. There's no way in except for Nexus's portals. As for why we're here..." he sighed. "We were all chased, just as you have been. Our dream is to find a way into the Pillar, but for now we're just staying safe here." He motioned around the room. "I'd suggest you wait here for a while, until the police give up chase. Then you're free to leave if you want. If not, we'd be glad to take you in. I figure it'd be nice to stop running for a while." He paused for a while, letting the invitation sink in. "If you wanna know anything about us, just ask." Cross flew over to Alice and landed on her shoulder, looking up at her.

As Zweiss and Jude met eyes, it seemed as if polar opposites had collided. There was the scarred and grizzly killer facing the regal, commanding king. But despite aesthetic differences, Zweiss knew that this was a man who truly believed in their mission and would do whatever it took to see it through. He extended a hand.

"If these are your true feelings, then it is my honor to accept you as a member of Utopia."

While Eugene waits in the car, the door opens by an unseen force. A few seconds later, a man seems to materialize out of the air right next to him. He was wearing a Black fedora, a closed black trench coat, and sunglasses. He looked straight ahead and began to speak in a low voice.

"You're tired of running, aren't you? Tired of this constant bullying." He turned to look straight at Eugene. "Come with me, and I can take you to true peace. To a Utopian world. We are powerful and gifted. We are the Pure. Help us to rid this world of the rest, and we can live in paradise." He paused. "What do you say? Think about it."

The bartender hung up his "Closed" sign as they walked into the street. The sirens were fading into the distance. As they walked, he talked to Ace.

"So what can you do?" he motioned in the direction of the faded sirens. "Why did they want you?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The man raised a questioning eyebrow.

"Why so defensive? I've told you I have no desire to fight you. I brought you to a rooftop in the sun just to prove this point. I am fully aware that there is no way I could teleport out of here faster than the speed of light." He gave a small smile. "Still, I chose this location carefully. It would be quite difficult for you to get down from here without me; I didn't want you to kill me on impulse." He paused for a while, apparently thinking some things over. He began to speak quietly. "No, I'm not here to kill or capture you, although I do have an offer, as you so insightfully guessed. You may accept or deny this at your own free will, and I will return you to the ground either way." He made eye contact to make sure Lux knew he was telling the truth. "I am here to represent a small group. Within this group, I am simply known as Blue. Our goal is to break into the Pillar, a sentiment I'm sure you can understand. We have people with a variety of powers, but none like yours. What could be better than attacking with the speed of light? So there is the offer: Will you help us achieve our goal? If we succeed, you would be part of the group that unearthed the secrets of the Pillar." He stopped. "Now I know what you're thinking: Why haven't I just teleported inside? Well, aside from the obvious fact that I would probably be shot within seconds of entering the walls, my power seems to have no effect within a certain range of the Pillar." He raised an eyebrow. "Most peculiar indeed, wouldn't you say? But that's beside the point. Will you join us? Or will you leave?

Anver looked at the other end of the back alley as footsteps approached him. standing there was Alan, dressed in a beige overcoat with the collar pulled high to partially conceal his face. his Glasses shined in the dim light of the alley as he walked over the Anver, a black brief case in hand.

"Hello, Anver..." he said, looking over his shoulder for a second

"What?" Anver asked, his hand glowing as he heated the air around it "You been Followed?"

Allan looked back at Anver

"No... thought I was for a moment or two... but I think I lost them... though pulling my collar up like this probably made them suspicious enough to follow me in the first place" with that, he tucked the collar down.

"So..." Anver asked... "how are they doing?"

Allan simply shoke his head for a moment, and Anver could feel panic rising in him

If somethings happened to them...

"No... Anver... I'm afraid I wasn't able to check up on Sandra and the kids for you... my contact back in New York got killed in a gas station robbery on the way to check in on them... so I don't know what's happening. I'm Sorry..."

Anver calmed down a little.

"Well... no news is good news, I guess... I trust that you have this thing you think I need so much?"

Allan patted the breif case in his hand. "Yes..." he said, opening it.

"First, though, two more clips." He took out two clips full of bullets and handed them to Anver, who stowed one in his bag and the other in his blazer's pocket.

"Now then... Anver, what I have for you isn't so much material in a sense... but it's still quite useful... You remember Donovan Lee, Right?"

"Yes..." Anver replied "The one who was my predecessor as CEO... I was promoted to the position at his retirement party."

"Well," said Allen "he had some matters involving him in the area here... and I've gotten permission from him for you to tag along on a private jet ride with him back to New York... he said he'd do it for old times sake... though on a few conditions..."

"What kind of 'Conditions'?" Anver asked

"Well," Allan began...

"You see, you can't actually be in the jet... they'll be third party security guards on-board with Donovan... and he's pretty sure that if they saw you, they would rat you out and that there'd be a thousand cops waiting for both of you when you landed..."

"Alright..." Anver said "So how am I supposed to "Tag along" then?"

"The Wheel well... He said to say sorry, but it was the best idea he could come up with. it can get pretty cold in there, but that won't be an issue for you."

"Ok... then..." Anver said, not quite sure whether or not the offer was worth taking "whats the other condition?"

"No one can see you get into the wheel well before takeoff or get out of it after landing... in other words, you'll have to find a way to sneak past the TSA terminals, out of the building, onto the tar mat, and into the well... vica-versa after landing... by yourself... if anyone spots you, then he won't be able to help. and neither will I..."

"alright... and is that it?" Anver asked

"No..." Allan answered "There's also a set time you have to be in the well by, or else they leave without you and you'll have to found your own way back... and the jet's scheduled to take off in an hour. I can drive you as far as the Airport's front doors. After that, it will be all up to you."

"Allright..." Anver said "Well, let's get going then, where's your car?"

Allan walked towards the way he'd entered the alley, and for the first time Anver noticed the car parked there.

"Well..." Alan said "It's not really my car, per-say... I just... 'Burrowed' it from it's owner"

Anver gave him a crooked look

"Damn it, Allan... If I had the time right now, I'd slap you across the face... driving me around in a stolen car when you know I'm a wanted man... we'll be damn lucky if the cops don't pull us over..."

Allan crossed over to the driver side door.

"Well, if that happens, I'll drive close to the curb and you can bail out while I distract them... but you'd have to make it there on your own... so don't jinx us."

with that, both men got into the vehicle, the machine roaring to life as it pulled away from the curb and peeled away down the street, heading towards the local Airport...

Alice nodded slowly, taking in her surroundings and orienting herself while listening to what was being said. She had a very slight head ache from passing through the portal though, it didn't occur to her at the time what the mass of energy would be like to pass through for someone of her particular talents. She smiled lightly at Cross who was on her shoulder, once more glad that she followed him and she turned her attention back to Beetle and Nexus.

"Thanks for helping me out back there, it would have been a pain to get out of that situation. I'm Alice, I can manipulate energy in a way." She paused for a moment, figuring out what to say. A small part of her wanted to ask if there was any TV reception underground, but that part was told to shut up, once more.

"If it would be okay, I think it would be great to team up, we have a common goal, the pillar, It would be nice to have a break from all the running."

After an hour, the Police had gotten near Kenny. However, Kenny had gone into the nearby Sewers about half an hour earlier, and was well on his way out of the city by then. However, in his rush, he had forgotten to replace the Manhole Cover back on the Entrance to the Sewers that he had taken.

The Policemen pursuing him noticed this, and radioed back the new information back to their Chief.

"The Target might have headed into the Sewers, we are Requesting Backup."

The youth stood still. This man, this... stranger... had invited him to join a group that were clearly working away from, or even against, the government. But without any sort of regulation, a group of that sort might get a little greedy. Lux turned and walked to the edge of the roof, looking down at the people below him. "You know, ever since I changed, I haven't been able to stop thinking about superheroes. Like Spider-Man or Captain America, you know? And what they did with their gifts. They gave of themselves in order to better the lives of others." Lux turned to the mysterious man. "I think that it doesn't matter how we got these abilities. Photokinesis, teleportation, it's all the same crap at the end of the day. But we've been given an opportunity to really help people. If I join you, I want to know that at the end of the day, we're here for the little people down there. It's funny that you took us to this rooftop, because it's a perfect metaphor for what some Awakened will believe. That we're some kind of next evolutionary step. That we have ascended as gods above the rest of our species." Lux strode over to the man in the chair and looked him directly in the eyes. "I need to know whether or not your organization has humanity's best interests at heart, or its own."

Beetle broke into a grin.

"Great! We're glad to have you, right Nexus?"

The hooded man was motionless. After a while, he gave a short nod. Beetle jumped up. "Um, I can show you around while we wait for Rebecca and my Grandfather to get back, if you want." He pointed to the staircase. "Rooms are downstairs, and there's a small gym in the basement below that if you work out or anything like that. You can use the extra room. My grandfather made it just in case anyone we trusted was in need." He smiled brightly. "I think we can trust you." He motioned to Alice's shoulder. "Cross certainly seems to like you."

The man in blue gave a melancholy smile.

"You know, there exists an entire group that believes exactly what you just stated. They call themselves Utopia. They are the largest group of Awakened assembled outside of the government's control." He gave a dark chuckle. "I met their leader once, and only once, but it was enough for me." He met Lux's eyes. "He's a scary guy. He practically exudes power. But his eyes -- that's where you see what kind of man he is. His eyes are full of hatred, determination, and pride. He'll stop at nothing to meet his goals. If you want to be a "hero," stay away from him." The man paused. "As for the group I belong to, well, you'll have the freedom to be any kind of hero you want to. There are others who will share your thoughts. But at the end of the day, I think the Pillar is what our leader is really after. You'd have to ask him yourself for more details."

The building across the street from the diner exploded. It had been a warehouse of some sort, unmarked by any sort of symbol or name. Beverly could just make out a man in a black coat fleeing the scene. People in the diner began to panic. There were cries to call the police, and many people pulled out their cellphones and began to do so.

Alice grinned her onesided grin as she looked at Cross. "I certainly like Cross, I have never seen a bug fly in loops of joy." She looked back at Beetle, glancing at Nexus an she move her head. They seemed genuine enough, Beetle was very friendly and Nexus did seem like he was a good person, just quiet. "I trust you guys too, there would have been no point in helping me back then if you had bad intents towards my well being."

"So what can you do?"

"a little show and tell i see, part of your little group's initiation huh?.." said ace with a cocky tone..

"well it seems i have this superhuman speed. able to run fast, reflex time and such, like I'm always on caffeine 24-7.... but that's just the mundane part of my ability." as Ace grins and leans on a wall while he lights up his cigarette. "here's the good part.. I'm able to break the sound barrier as i travel, even in short steps...leaving destructive shock waves in its wake." as he takes a long puff able enough to break his cigarette into ashes.

"Why did they want you?"

Ace pause as he flicks away the cigarette butt "I really don't know pal, but its not the first time Im in this kind of situation..." as he sighed.

"Lets just say i got involve in the wrong crowd namely a corrupt government official back in the days before the pillar was erected, which cause the life of my love ones and my career on a downward spiral" as Ace clench his fist

"It seems they're threaten by me knowing that i gain this kind of ability, so they jump the gun hunting me down. Typical."

Allen jumped slightly when the woman spoke. He quickly collected himself however, and replied without turning his head. "Everything you just said is correct, and yes. I was planning on staying here, but from the way you've just approached me, I take it you have an alternate plan." He turned enough to face the woman. "Is that right?"

The two men who encountered Keaton were obviously affected by the Pillar, but they had actual powers- he had only increased intelligence. Whatever, as long as he had something.
"So... What do you think?"

Keaton waited for a second to craft a response. He had to get past the police to get into his house. But after that, he wouldn't have anything to do or anywhere to go. This organization also promised him a job in the government, a chance to understand what it was that would be happening to him. The chance that his questions might be answered were quite high, statistically speaking. Plus, if things went haywire, he would find a way to get out.
"Sure, I'm up for it. If not for the money, then for..." he paused, deciding against stating his intention of hacking into the government. "Then for the experience. I've only ever worked from home on projects for myself. The more experiences you have, you smarter you get. I'm in."
He sheathed his pistol, placing the pistol in its holster and tightened his shoes. "Ready to go."

Making a mental note of the direction the man ran off in. Beverly quickly stood up when people started to call the police. As she was heading the out of the diner the waitress grabbed her arm. "Hon its not safe for you to go out there know. Just wait for the police and they well be able to help. With your problem as well." the waitress said with a genuine caring smile on her face. "The police are my problem." Beverly said coldly well turning around and grabbing the waitress wrist with her hand activating her powers. Making sure not to change to much of the last fifth-teen minutes, only changing the parts about her Beverly then left the diner.

Upon exiting the diner with a crowd of people, Beverly cold hear the police sirens heading this way. Not knowing the area that well Beverly started running in the same direction as the man did earlier. Beverly keep running until the street she was on reached an end. Not sure in the direction to go Beverly decided to go the only way she knew, towards the pillar. well heading towards it she inadvertently turned down an alleyway, knowing all to well from books what happens to young women in such a place Beverly walked down it on her guard the whole time.

((ooc i really don't have much planed for Beverly she really not the whole action girl type. so she a lot better off when she is with other people. and i can do more with her once she is to.))

Lux nodded thoughtfully. They don't seem to share my ideas, but knowing what caused me to develop these abilities could end up being the difference between life and death some day. The youth stood up and paced for a bit longer, pondering his options. He did not believe the man in blue would harm him if he refused. However, they'd been up on the roof for some time and Lux didn't want to be anywhere near the police when the sun set. He looked toward the man, then approached him once more. "I can't promise that I'll stay, but I'm willing to meet with your leader and find out more about your organization." He grinned lightly. "It's been awhile since I've had friends to look after me. By the way, you never told me your name."

Anver looked out of the window as Allen pulled the car up next to a gated side entrance of the local airport, which had a sign on the door which read in blaring red letters:

AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY

Anver looked at Allen.

"You must be crazy, Allan... thought you said the Front entrance... I go through this door without some kind of authorization, and there'll be alarms and sirens going off all over the place."

Allan got the black brief case from the backseat and pulled it up front, opening it.

"Here, you're gonna need this" he said, taking out a bottle of chloroform and an old rag from the brief case and giving it to Anver. he looked down and examined it, giving Allan a questionable look

"Chloroform, Allan?...Really?"

Allan looked back at him, pushing his glasses up the ridge of his nose, then reached into the brief case again and pulled out a silencer made for a glock, and tossed it into Anver's lap

"What?" Allan asked rather sarcastically "Anver, You know I'm ex-Spec.Ops... I've done this type of stuff before, infiltration and sneaking... and I can tell you, you go in this airport through the front way, you'll be arrested as soon as a TSA agent spots your face, which would be inevitable with all the security protocals they've got nowadays. The side entrance is the only way you'll even have a chance to make it covertly."

knowing his old friend had a point, anver sighed and got out of the car, fitting the silencer onto the Glock and then putting it back into his blazer pocket, as well as the bottle of chloroform and old rag. he began walking towards the door when Allan called out one last time.

"Anver!" he called out "The sensor that tells whether the door's open or closed; I've seen that model before! It's sensitive to extremes in temperature! You know what to do!" With that, Allan ducked his head back into the vehicle and peeled off, burning rubber as he headed down the street in the stolen car.

"Well..." Said anver, approaching the door, at the same time searching for security cameras, thankfully there were none

"Guess I know what to do..." He put his hand onto the card slot scanner on the side of the door, then concentrated, heating the device to the point where the plastic casing of it started to warp, allowing air to trickle into the inner circuitry areas... with that done, Anver then shifted focus to heating the air that had gotten inside the device.

In two minutes, the motherboard was dead, fried from heat exposure. Anver pushed the door open and crawled inside, closing it gently behind him and beginning to move down the long corridor filled with various boxes and crates.

Jude firmly grasped Zweiss's hand and shook it firmly, sure to stare him in the eyes all the while. Despite, the fact that the two were inherently different, Jude carrying more of a natural brutish look, while Zweiss had a regal look to him, almost kingly, Jude thought he could trust this man. There ideals were the same, perhaps for different reasons, but it was Jude's best option. It was his only option.

Jude turned from the man and began putting his cloak back on, then turned to Zweiss. "Though I do have one question for you. If you are the leader of this group, Utopia, your gift must be great. So what gift has God seen fit to bestow upon you."

When the car door opened, Eugene’s heart skipped a beat. He thought the police had finally found him. He couldn’t outrun them this time and he couldn’t use his powers yet. He had no idea how long it had been since he last used them since he had no watch. But he knew it hadn’t been an hour.

Eugene stared at the man in black with fear in his eyes. The man didn’t look like a police officer, but he looked shady and powerful. Definitely not the type you mess around with. “W-who are y-you? W-what do you w-want from me?” Eugene mumbled as he tried to get even further back in the car. His hand found the doorknob on the other side.

As soon as he heard the words ‘Help us to rid this world of the rest’, he panicked and tried to open the door. This guy is dangerous. He wants to kill people. I can’t kill people! I never even stood up for myself. I don’t want to get involved!
When the shady man was done talking, Eugene finally opened the door, fell out of the car and started running as fast as he could. He didn’t look back as the only thought in his mind was to get away as far as possible.

((MGS, Anyone?))

Anver reached the end of the corridor, pushing open another door, gently and peeking into what appeared to be a lounge area with a large window that looked out over what seemed to be a loading dock of sorts, with various cargo and crates... and in that loading dock below, Anver could spot a large garage door leading out to the tarmac... a red and white private jet could be seen idling in the distance out on the black surface...

Well, damn... Anver thought to himself

That didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would... all I have to do now-

"Hey, Matt, how long has this coffee been here?"

"It's Fresh, Joe; I made it this morning."

Anver's train of thought was cut off as he heard two voices from inside the room he was peeking into.

Of course... He thought to himself, sighing a little under his breath, as not to alert them

Of course I can't just waltz right through here.... that would just be too easy, wouldn't it...

He knelt at the door frame, peeking through the crack, trying to plot out how he'd get rid off the two people inside... he reached into his Blazer's pocket, taking inventory of what was at his disposal. His hand closed around a clip, and for some reason, he had a feeling he should examine it...

He pulled it out and looked at the ammunition inside... and he noticed that the bullet heads weren't the dull gray of lead...

but instead a pale, yellowish tint.

Rubber bullets... Allan, you thought this through...

"Thank God that I have Allan for a friend..." he whispered appreciatively as he silently popped the current clip out of his Glock and slid in the one containing the rubber bullets, he knew now what he would do... a shot to the chest for both of them and however else was in there... and no guilt because they wouldn't be dead, just dazed at the worst. but probably shouldn't go in firing... no, things might go down hill in that scenario. He'd have to create an opening first...

and he saw his opening, one of the two who had just spoken, presumably the man named Joe, poured himself a cup of coffee from the pot on the counter, raising it to his lips in preparation of taking a sip. Anver smirked, focusing himself to heat the liquid in the cup back up to boiling point...

"Ah, God Damnit, this is hot!" he heard from the room as he watched the man drop the cup as soon as the liquid touched his lip, causing the mug to shatter and coffee to flow onto the tiles of the small kitchen area of the lounge.

"What are you talking about, it's been sitting there for two hours, there's no way it's that hot."

Anver knew this was the time, he pushed open the door, flicking off the safety, standing and firing at the man who had dropped the Mug, Joe, who fell backwards as the rubber round hit him in the chest, his blue and yellow TSA uniform becoming a muddy brown as it absorbed the coffee on the tiled floor beneath him.

"What the hel!? he heard behind him, turning with his gun raised to find the second man, Matt, standing there with a very surprised expression on his face. Matt recovered however, and tore the walkie-talkie off his belt and raised it to his mouth, but he couldn't even get it half-way there before Anver fired, sending a round into his chest and sending him falling backwards against the wall. anver walked over to Matt and checked to see if he was conscious...

and luckily, for Matt's own sake, the force of the round's impact had knocked him out. he checked Joe. it was the same story all around. Anver walked over to the large window overlooking out on the loading bay, and could tell from the tint of it that it was a one-way glass, which meant if he could see out of it from here, then someone on the other side of it couldn't see into the lounge. he stepped away and back to Matt.

"Come on, I know you have cuffs somewhere on you..." And he was right, finding them tucked into a belt holster on Matt's back. he went over to Joe and found his in the same place. then he dragged the two men other to one another, positioning them back to back against the far wall, then took the keys to the hand-cuffs for both sets and put them up on the counter beside the coffee pot, along with the two walkie-talkies the TSA agents had been carrying.

Satisfied, he loaded another round into the chamber, then moved on the the door beside the large window, pushing it open a little, Anver could see a metal stair case leading down along the wall from the door to the bay floor. He looked around, and upon seeing no one in the bay, he climbed down the stair case quietly, then began walking through the various paths created by the crates and boxes, picking his way towards the large doors leading to the Tarmac.
