Bullet
[Hitmonblue] [Sawk] (M/F) @ [Fight Jewel] Trait: [Sturdy] EVs: [252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP] [Nature] Jolly - Close Combat - Stone Edge - Earthquake - Poison Jab [So liek, this is one of those filler guiz GF puts in just to troll people and exist for the hell of it. I'm not saying it sucks but, on second thought, I am saying it sucks >_<. There are plenty of better fighting types, but I suppose you can use him for some novelty in UU. Close Combat with STAB and Fight Jewel ain't so bad, then you got EdgeQuake for good coverage, and a random Poison Jab just because his movepool isn't so stellar. It can hit Grass types fairly hard, so not a total waste. Sturdy is the slight advantage dis guy haz ovar teh other fightin guiz. In UU where sand will (hopefully) be less common, ridding the field of hazards with some spin spin spin can make it work.]
Administrators Amethyst Posted March 16, 2011 Author Administrators Share Posted March 16, 2011 Reverser Sawk (M/F) @ Salac Berry Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 Att/252 Spe IVs: 0 HP/0 Def/0 SpD Lonely Nature - Counter - Reversal - Stone Edge/Payback/Bulk Up - Stone Edge/Payback/Bulk Up Unlike the above, this set intends to make good use of its natural Sturdy ability- arguably one of the best abilities in the game, even if subverted by the vulnerability of the type to sand, unlike all of its other carriers. For this reason, this set has more of a place on a team with spin or anti-sand support. These details aside, the set actually works best against a physical sweeper. Counter will allow you to take on their hit, KO them back, and activate your Salac all in one fell swoop. From there, Sawk has a 200 base power STAB Reversal on top of its brofull 383 attack power ready to outspeed (with 403 speed from Salac) and take down almost anything. The last two moves are a matter of preference. When coming in against a special sweeper, Counter obviously isn't going to do you any good. In the turn waiting for you to activate Salac if you don't feel like attack with either Stone Edge or Payback, Bulk Up can be used to further bolster attack power. The other two attacking moves are chosen in accordance to the types resisting Reversal. Stone Edge will take down your typical flying type, but Payback is intuitively more useful against Ghosts and Psychics (if lessened by the fact that you'll probably attacking first unless you use it before Salac.)
