Deleted User
OK I'm going to start doing something a little bit different. I'm going to do a playthrough where I will be using the same type as each leader for their gym battle. I will allow 5 people to select ONE pokemon for me to use against that leader and I will also choose one once the other 5 have been chosen. You may be as nice or as cruel as your heart desires. You may choose a pokemon that is not obtainable in Reborn however, it must be the same type as the next leader I face and obviously no legendaries. I can use any items that are obtainable to that point in the game to evolve a pokemon as far as I can. To clarify further, the moment I beat the first gym I must then switch to the next type until I beat the next gym, once I beat Julia I will then have a full grass team until I beat Florinia. This also includes leaders that don't give you a badge. The exception I will make is Bennett since he back-to-back with an actual leader.Since the first leader is Julia, I will be using Electric types. So what electric types should I use?Added Rule #1: If a leader has a pokemon, I can not use that same type of pokemon, e.g. Shelley has a Yanmega, I can't use Yanma/Yanmega. Tacos
Errmmm, are these going to be legal or not? If legal then: Elektrike If illegal then: Elekid
Simon
O_o How are you gonna get Elekid before the 1st gym? This seems like a cool idea, good luck. Picchu. Edited June 13, 2014 by ~Derpy Simon
Lost Lore
Use a Dedenne. Hopefully its cuteness will serve you well~ (You said any Electric-type bar legendaries, so...)
Vinny
O_o How are you gonna get Elekid before the 1st gym? i know how :I :I :I Use a Chinchou. And since you said nothing about this: No, you can't have Volt Absorb on it. Name it "Yellow Balls". Or name it whatever you want.

Well Ability I'll leave to the luck of the draw (unless I really can't win, then I'll do a little tinkering possibly) Errmmm, are these going to be legal or not? If legal then: Elektrike If illegal then: Elekid Yes "Illegal" will be allowed. O_o How are you gonna get Elekid before the 1st gym? This seems like a cool idea, good luck. Picchu. OK, but It will evolve into Pikachu since happiness is easily obtainable. Until Julia: Elekid Pichu (Pikachu) Dedenne Chinchou ??? ???<--My Pick (I already know)
Arkhi
Saved it for me, have you?Helioptile. I'm a sucker for the thing, it's the cutest 'mon in my book. Also, are you doing Mirror Battles against non-gym leader bosses? (Sigmund, Cal, etc.)

Also, are you doing Mirror Battles against non-gym leader bosses? (Sigmund, Cal, etc.) I'm not completely sure about some. I had planned on it with Cal, but I need to sort through who everyone who's there. situations like Bennett make it complicated because it's back-to-back with another leader. My choice will be... Rotom. Immune to Explosion, Sonic Boom, and resists electric attacks.
Dhanush D Bhatt
But how are you going to get the pokemon that are not yet available?

Taska
Well, seeing as you said any electric pokemon, use either shinx, Joltik or mareep (which will probably evolve into Flaafy) Edited June 14, 2014 by Taska0G0
Lynxiechan
Don't worry about it. *Worries head off* Emolga is a nice choice, you could counter Julia's Emolga with a nuzzle-electroball combo. Which generally sweeps quite well since Emolga is an okay attacker and a speedy pokemon.
Deleted User
Sorry Lynx it's already decided at. Elekid (Pikachu) Dedenne Chinchou Helioptile Rotom But just wait for me to finish the first gym and then suggest a grass type. Alright getting this underway. Deleted User
GO HOME TO WOODSTOCK ASSHAT Rough Start as Fern sends out Lotad and it uses Nature Power Freezing Tacos Solid! But Tacos comes through in the clutch Defrosting 1st turn! After a few more Thundershocks. Tacos takes out Lotad, Fern sends out his Ace, Snivy. Because Tacos had a few Attack drops I will send out Simon! I know that Snivy will want to Leech Seed me, so I elect to use a couple of Tail Whips before attacking. After NOT Leech Seeding me and trading 3 Tail Whips/Leers, I hit Snivy with a quick attack which does almost 50%, a 2nd quick attack knocks him down to critical. Fern used a Potion to restore Snivy to about 2/3 health, but two more Quick Attacks from Simon prove to be more than enough to take down Fern's Ace, untouched. He now sends out Budew, I will leave Simon in since I don't think Budew has Physical Attacks. Once again I elect to go for a few tail whips. He hits Simon with Mega Drain doing exactly 1/3 of my health, and then uses Growth, this could get ugly fast. Quick Attack from Simon does about 1/3, but he then for some reason proceeds to use Water Sport.... Amateur. He then tries to get cute and uses growth again, but after a quick attack the same turn and the one this next turn, I'll be able to take it out no problem. Simon takes out Budew. Battle MVP: Simon - Lv
Vinny
Good luck. I think I might try either this or a variant of it. This is awesome. I want to try a variant of this. But it's going to be hell. I guarantee it. Battle MVP: Simon - Lv 12 Good f****** job you Pikachu you.

Deleted User
The thing I'm the most scared of right now is the Pulse Tangrowth battle with all grass types. Heaven help me. Please be merciful when I need grass types soon. (not just yet though)

Deleted User
NOTE: Didn't know she had a Helioptile, that's one other rule I wanted to say before but I forgot about, I don't want to have any of the same pokemon as the leader I will be facing. I won't worry about it this time. To start, I lead with Tacos, Julia sends out Helioptile. I use swift and it will be a two shot kill, go ahead and lower my accuracy will your Super Effective mud-slap, IDGAF. She then sends out Voltorb, still being at 80% health I leave Tacos in. I keep on using swift, it will be a 3 hit kill, but rollout is going to be scary in this battle. One Voltorb Tacos? Lets kill another one you're still at 2/3 health. This one has less defense, swift is a 2HKO, but she uses sonicboom, fortunately it misses. With 3 down and 3 to go, she sends out Emolga, I think it's time to let someone else have some glory. I'll switch to Lost Lore. I'm going to use Charge then Parabolic Charge. With the field effect, Charge's effects are doubled. Parabolic Charge OHKO's Emolga. Out comes Blitzle, I need to spread the love and victory appears to be in hand. I'll send out Vinny. First I'll have Vinny use Confuse Ray, Even though Blitzle never loves dese hose, Vinny still takes it out with 2 bubbles. Now for the big cheese, Electrode, I've been saving myself for this. c'mon out McMc you little shutterbug. #UproarTilDead Maybe not the best strategy, it uses charge doubling it's SpD, I do get a crit, but then she uses a potion. This may or may not turn out well, but at least she can't BOOM me. 1 potion ah ha ha. 2 potions AH HA HA! After I'm free from uprawring everywhere, I use Confuse Ray and it just keeps building that Special D. Too bad Electrode loves dese hose. Double Team twice, and keep confusing it, Wash, Rinse Repeat. McMc takes out Electrode by using "dese hose". Gotta get dat... Volt badge? I tried I guess. Gimme them Grassy types now. (Acquired TM57 Charge Beam) Next gyms won't be so easy with the level cap not being as advantageous for me.
Vinny
First I'll have Vinny use Confuse Ray, Even though Blitzle never loves dese hose, Vinny still takes it out with 2 bubbles. I got dat Bubble power. ^^ My grass type: Whimsicott GL EDIT: I don't think you can. So instead of Whimsicott, use Jumpluff. Deleted User
Is it possible for me to get a Sun stone before her gym? If not I'll have to use Cottonee, or you'll have to suggest another poke.
Lost Lore
I got to kill the Emolga? Frick yeah, I hate those little Volt Switching fuckers. My pick: Tropius. Yep. Go put those bananas to use.
