Geo
(Chesto Rest) Hihidaruma (M) @ Chesto Berry Trait: Daruma Mode EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Def Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Fire Blast - Substitute - Psychic - Rest I would like to give credit to Ikaru for testing to make sure it not a glitch that after you Rest it, it stays in Zen Mode. Sub Pataya is not going to work unless your doing Doubles and Triples with Trick Room, this set is the only one it can use that it get its some use in single battles, Maybe more Late game where most threats are gone. Note: Chesto rest can also be used better in trick room team, just give it quiet nature and you'll do better. Proper way to use Zen Mode in a Single battle: 1. Clear all Threats, it might be impossible but atleast limit them. 2. Partner up with a T-wave or a Stun spore user, Try to Paralyze atleast half the pokemon on your opponents team or atleast some of the threats to it. 3. Hire a spinner, its needed just abit tho however Stealth rock kinda help it get to 50% easier. 4. Dual screens can be your best friend too, this rule is optional tho. Chesto Rest seem to be the only thing its able to do in single battles, It has enough bulk for late game play and if you follow the rules above, you should do fine with it. If you hate to miss use Flamethrower instead. 416 sp attack hurts like a bitch either way and its Also gets Stab, In Zen form Psychic also gets STAB now wich is good. Other Options: Credit to N8. [Nitro Charge + Petaya] Hihidaruma (M) @ Petaya berry Trait: Daruma Mode EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Speed/ 4 Def Modest/Timid Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Fire Blast - Substitute - Psychic - Nitro Charge This is a pretty good set but Rule 1-3 apply to this too. Try to get to atleast +2 speed maybe +3 just to get fast enough while trying to sub down to your Petaya berry.(Its possible with free subs and hax from T-wave or Stone edge missing) This set seems also made for late game play too but hell its better then Chesto Rest. N8theGr8
How to Hit Harder Than Any Other Pokémon in the Game Darmanitan @ Choice Band/Life Orb/Choice Scarf Trait: Sheer Force EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 HP Adamant/Jolly Nature - Flare Blitz/Fire Punch - Rock Slide - Superpower - U-Turn Darmanitan is a simple Pokémon with a simple job: Wreck as much as you can before you kill yourself from recoil/something else kills you. Sheer Force boosts Flare Blitz to a base power so high that it's stronger than Hyper Beam, and there's no recharge. Seriously, things that resist that Flare Blitz are still gonna get wrecked if they don't have some bulk behind them. Fire Punch is there if you don't like Flare Blitz's recoil, but the loss in power is incredibly significant, so I don't advise it. Darmanitan is pretty frail anyway, and its good HP is best left to sucking up recoil. Rock Slide is stronger than Stone Edge after Sheer Force's boost, and is 10% more accurate. It's there for things that don't mind Flare Blitz, most notably Dragons. Superpower is there mostly for Heatran, which absolutely loves to come in on Darmanitan. It also annihilates the stray Rock type that comes your way. U-Turn is to scout and to get outta the field when you're predicting a switch. The choice in item is whether you want so much power that you can tear down skyscrapers, less power but having the liberty to change moves, or being able to outspeed more. N8theGr8
Belly Drumanitan Darmanitan @ Salac Berry Trait: Sheer Force EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Speed Jolly Nature - Substitute - Belly Drum - Fire Punch - Rock Slide/Earthquake If executed correctly, this Pokémon could be the strongest of all Pokes in OU. It has enough strength to tear holes in the fabric of the space-time continuum. That's how insanely powerful this is. The goal is to set up a sub on someone who thinks that you're choiced against something that doesn't want to be against it, specifically Ferrothorn, and then Belly Drum. Then, use your Attack stat that hits over 1500 to destroy, quite literally, everything. 4 HP EVs lets you activate your Salac Berry when you Belly Drum behind a Sub. Fire Punch is obvious and grabs a Sheer Force boost, making it even more powerful. Flare Blitz is out of the question, as the recoil will instantly kill you and the power isn't even needed. Rock Slide is usually recommended over Earthquake, as Earthquake can leave you open against a number of things, such as Multiscale Dragonite. However, Earthquake is slightly more accurate than Rock Slide, so it's always an option. Basically, if your Sub is still up after you've Belly Drummed, you've pretty much won, unless the opposing team has two priority users/scarfed Pokémon that have over 317 Speed. The most obvious support that this set needs is Spinning, as Stealth Rock/Spikes ruins the entire set. Starmie, Tentacruel, Forretress, and Donphan are 4 names that come to mind, but there are more available. Other than that...after this set sets up, there's next to nothing that walls it, except maybe Rhyperior if you're running Rock Slide. Even that's a stretch. Extremely defensive Garchomp might be able to take a Fire Punch, but that's unlikely as well. As long as you have a spinner, your team shouldn't need much more support. Yuki
Darmanitan (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Sheer Force EVs: 8 HP / 252 Atk / 248 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Flare Blitz - U-turn - Superpower First of all, this thing is a fucking monster. Flare Blitz, + STAB, +Sheer Force is so incredibly powerful that it's not even fair to your opponent. But that's okay because you're the one using it. Personally I use Hihi as a lead, and if I can get easykillz I go for it, but you can just as well scout using U-Turn. I prefer EQ over Rock Slide because I've yet to come across a flying type that can withstand a Flare Blitz or Superpower. If it can, well, U-Turn awayyyy. Tryyy it. Really! Do it! Phazer
Zen Master Darmanitan (M) @ Salac Berry Trait: Zen Mode EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Focus Blast - Flamethrower - Hidden Power [Grass] - Substitute Ezpz lemon sqzy. First set up your sub so your health can lower (feelsemo) keep subbing until your health is under 50% and your Salac Berry activates, then sweep the crud out of your enemy team. Edit: Very Effective.
