((this is getting interesting...))

Freyal merely grinned as the women flicked a coin in his direction.

"Oh, that?" he asked arrogantly

"you really think I didn't feel you up in my pocket when i was polishing my glasses just now?" he gripped the talisman and became visible, this time right infront of Amilia... which seemed impossible...though people should know not to underestimate the Thief King.

He merely kept smiling arrogantly as he spoke further, his knuckles bare white against the handle of his knife, revealing a rage bubbling under the surface

This bitch pick-pocketed me?

"I only let you have it because I felt a bit charitable" he said, lying through his teeth and not giving a single sign that it wasn't the absolute truth of the matter

"Consider it a parting gift from one far greater than you will ever be...only take what you need to survive...please, what horse-shit!"

He tossed his knife in his hand, catching it and holding it back-handed as he continued speaking

"You seem to think that honor actually matters in the practice of thievery!" he clapped his hand to his fore head as he laughed hysterically into the night air.

"Cowardice, you think I care about being a coward? stealth is the name of the game, and if you're invisible, You win every time!"

just then a voice echoed out in the night air as a figure could be seen on a rooftop overlooking the alley, his form silhouetted against the full moon. he looked to be holding a giant bow of some type aimed at the two thieves down below

"Decate." the man called simply, his voice young sounding

"Where you not sent to hunt down the king thief, Freyal Lupai, who robbed the House hold before dawn this morning?

Freyal looked up, his laugh ending as soon as it had began.

he looked around the alley way, confused. he spoke, his voice sounding completely different than a few moments before. his eyes had changed color from the cold blue they were a few moments before to a dark hazel.

"Uh... yes... I was... why am I in this alley way...? the last thing I remember is heading off towards where master Samiel had seen him running off"

The man on the roof top spoke up again.

"Damn it... he must've gotten wind of us trailing him and taken control of you... just like he did with Royce and Jezicalo..."

Not-Freyal looked up, his face shocked

"wait," he began "he took control of them? but... how?"

the roof man replied simply "Had them completely under his influence... that jewel he stole from the household is proving more dangerous than we originally thought... if he can take possession of us like this..." he stopped talking then, noticing a gleam on Decate's chest

"Decate," he asked "What is that on your chest, that pendent..."

Decate looked down, taking the talisman off and staring at it, his eye's going a bit wide as he recognized it...

"this... look's like it's the project young master Aaron was working on... but how did I come to have it?"

The man on the roof shook his head

"You're asking the wrong person, my friend... but...it's likely Lupai used you to steal it from Aaron sometime earlier today... the young master had it with him this morning, I saw him with it, so it couldn't have been more than a few hours ago..." he then leaped down, rolling on the ground to distribute the force of the impact. he stood up, a large, silver bow in his hand. he wore a creme colored tunic with a black full body cloak on his shoulders, the hood pulled up, concealing his face.

"What happened to your tunic and Cloak, Decate?" he asked next. Decate looked down at his shirt, noticing for the first time since waking up from... whatever spell he'd been under, that it was not what he had been wearing earlier when Master Samiel had sent the four of them out to recover what was taken.

"I..don't know..." he looked up at the hooded man

"Marshall..." he began "we've lost the trail, haven't we...?"

the hooded man, Marshell as his name was, simply nodded

"That seems to be the case... I've spent the entire day since noon tracking down the three of you and brining each of you back to your senses... and with you all acting crazy and me having to chase behind you... that whore son has had plently of time to get away..."

Marshall looked at Amilia

"And who, may I ask, would you be, my dear?"

Gideon attention was split in half as he saw the giant knight of some sort blocking the door. Still on highest guard, Gideon remain his stance as Henry exited right before his eyes. Gideon stare right back in the giant's eyes, He was slightly frighten and but at the same time feeling eager to fight the man. Gideon saw a worthy opponent in this place as he notice the hulking giant is wielding a sword as well.

He then follow the knight, He catches up to him while he walk and talks beside him in an almost empty street. "my apologies, i didn't meant to cause trouble.I'm Gideon of Diran deserts. I'm here for two things, one is for my curiosity about this city's event and two.." he paused "to challenge the swordsman of this place."

"well it seems you're the first swordsman i saw today. but seeing you're a man of the law, you'll probably reject my offer." Gideon release a smirk as he keeps his eyes forward and continues to walks beside Atton.

Octavia had found her way on a quieter street, which was good because she was starting to get a head ache from all the noise. Not that there was nothing going on here, but there were less people. In an attempt to get away from the crowded streets, she ducked into a quiet looking store. "Oh...!" she gave a small exclamation in realization. An apothecary shop. The shelves were well stocked with various ingredients, already prepared potions and poisons, some books and recipes. A large grin spread upon her face and she took a deep breath as she stepped forward and into the shop, walking through the shelves and examining things that caught her interest.

Amelia watched the whole exchange, her anger at the man's arrogance slowly being replaced be amusement at the stunt the real Thief King had pulled. It was an amusing heist, one she could admire, assuming the real Freyal Lupei wasn't as arrogant as his brainwashing seemed to dictate. It also explained a lot about how she'd gotten the coin from him, it had seemed to easy, even to her. Laughter finally bubbled free as her identity was asked. She laughed so hard that her eyes began to tear up.

"You- You seriously. Oh my stars." She giggled, "This is absolutely hilarious!"

She snatched the knife away from the fake Freyal, spinning it about and waving it around towards the men.

"Look at me! I'm Freyal Lupei, Thief King!" She snorted.

Her laugh slowly toned down and she wiped a tear out of her eye.

"Me?" She said, finally responding to the question, "I am Amelia Tolvaj. Humble-" She gave an over-exaggerated bow here, "-two-bit thief, at your service."

She had slipped the knife into her pocket as she bowed, for Decate was clearly far too bewildered to notice what was happening.

"It seems you have been utterly duped." This statement was accented by a large hand wave at Decate's head. "Maybe you should all go home and take a nice long rest. I have bandages and food to purchase. And you appear to have a thief to not catch."

(OOC: Milly has no claim to being a master thief BTW, she just hates arrogant pricks)

"I'm not just a simple law man." Atton said "I am the highest lawman in this city. the Arch Magistrate of Cithalos."

he looked down to Gideon as they walked back into the West market square, where the activity and crowds had noticeably died down.

"so yes, I'm going to have to refuse your offer... but only because If we fought, I would kill you within a few seconds." he looked around at the crowds as the two men walked through the square, and continued his conversation with Gideon, satisfied that no suspicious Activity was occuring

"you see, when people look at me, they think raw power... but their wrong... I have two names in this city; "The Fortress" and "The Man-Drake" they call me the first for my size and strength and they call me the latter even more for my surprising speed in this heavy armor and with this great sword in my hand.

as the two men continued their walk, Arch Magistrate Atton expalined to Gideon the history of how Azuaqyar had been struck down hundreds of years ago by the Sky Slayer, the traitor named Stratos, and of how this festival was to celebrate his resurrection which was due to occur at the end of the current hour. having thoroughly explained the night's going-ons to Gideon, he then left the young Turk standing in the middle of the market square. the "Man-Drake" then disappeared into the crowd further on... well not really disappeared... his head and shoulders poked out above everyone else's...

((Do not pursue any further, Typhlosion))

-----------------------------------------

Masterweavile898

Arch Magistrate Atton walked out of the crowd and onto a desserted , un lit side street... he didn't know what had drawn him here... but he had a feeling something was going on up ahead.. he drew his Great Sword, the blade named Rosefell,(for it's deep crimson coloring of the metal)... his white cloak blazing in the moonlight as his heavy steps and the clanking of his heavy armor sounded out in the still night air of the area...

in the alley way, Decate turned... he could hear faint foot falls and metallic clanking in the distance... though it was still to far for Marshall or the strange young woman here to be able to pick up. he leaned out of the alley way and peeked at who was making the noise, spotting a hulking man in full armor and a gleaming cloak heading down the street, a large, crimson blade in his hand, he was scanning the buildings carefully, looking for anything out of order...

he recognized the man imediately...

"It's Atton... " he muttered to himself, sighing

"Master Samiel specifically said he wanted no involvement from law enforcement..."

it was true. Samiel had told him, Marshell, Royce, and Jezicalo that this morning... he had said that putting up an alert and closing down the city would only make it easier for Lupai to escape...though... it's not like having the help of a lawman would be very detrimental now...

he was hashing this out in his mind when the woman spoke up mockingly, snatching the knife out of his hand easily... he didn't even use knives in combat... why the hell did he have one? just another one of the things confusing poor Decate at the moment...

"Look at me! I'm Freyal Lupei, Thief King!"

Marshall and Decate stood there unamused as the women waved the knife around at them.

"I am Amelia Tolvaj. Humble, two-bit thief, at your service."

Marshall looked to actually be getting a bit angry as the young women, amelia, as her name was, made a mocking bow to them.

"Maybe you should all go home and take a nice long rest. I have bandages and food to purchase. And you appear to have a thief to not catch."

Marshall had heard enough of this mockery, he spoke up, his friendly demeanor from before completely gone as annoyance filled his voice now

"Enough." he demanded "I merely asked your name, not for a complete mockery of my and my colleagues situation." he looked to Decate "We need to report back to Master Samiel... he'll probably try to send out Deric himself to take care of Lupai now... assuming the bastard is still in the city."

Decate shook his head

"He might try to... but after what happened between Deric and Marca a few years ago... he hasn't been up to a good law hunt ever since that day... even if this is technically vigilante...he'll never accept the order to look for Lupai if he's given it...not unless Master Aaron or even Samiel himself was killed by him."

Marshall narrowed his gaze at Decate

"Did Lupai possesing your mind dull your long term memory as well? we all vowed not to talk about it ever again. that past... never existed as far as the five of us are concerned. no be quiet... I think I hear something..."

just then a voice echoed out from the end of the alley way as a giant figure emerged there, their cloak gleaming white and throwing off a blinding glare in the moon light that hid there face. a strange crimson blade, as long as most men are tall, was in his hand. his giant figure blocked all possibility of escape from the alley way.

"What's going on here?" Arch Magistrate Atton asked demandingly at the trio.

((OCC: Oh no... It's the POPO!))

"But enough on death... look though the menu of the day, see what sounds good to you."

Maximus nodded at the statement and took hold of the menu, deciding not to press the subject further. He was damn hungry and despite the solemness of the bartender, he was intent on getting a meal to quell his hunger. He looked at Rodriguez, his mind being made up. "I'll have your finest ale and finest slice of beef, and perhaps some pork." He figured he wouldn't be able to get everything he ordered for free, but he wasn't about to back down until the bartender decided to call back his offer.

"And one last thing," his look turned a bit more solemn, "Tell me, Azuaqyar, will he really return tonight or is this just the theocracy trying to maintain it's power through some cheap magic."

"Man drake? Fortress??" Gideon stands there in the middle of market square looking at the towering magistrate in the crowd. Gideon got the information he need but didn't like Atton's remark of easily killing him in a duel. "bastard law man, just like my father." Gideon was annoyed and spits on the ground. He conceal himself and he walks away looking for a peaceful spot in the city. Gideon 'accidentally' knocks over an apple stand. The apples scattered all over, rolling on the marble floor. with the slight of hand he picks one or two of the apples and disappeared in the crowd right before the owner even notices him.

The Turk then decided to go up on the rooftops stepping on some crates, climbing the walls as he makes his way to the top. He leaps from building to buildings gracefully like a cat, looking for a good vantage point of the city. Finally he finds himself on a nice peaceful spot to settle down, He sit on the edge of the building watching the busy market below.

"Azuaqyar? Resurrection? Sky slayer? I don't buy it..." Gideon takes a bite of the apple "Lets see if something happens in the next hour, then I'll find that so called man-drake again and cut off his own tongue for questioning my fighting skills. If my pride makes me a criminal of this city, then so be it." He looks at the night sky.

Too many people. Amelia sighed audibly. All she wanted was to go buy some supplies and get out. Just a simple little task. She only even came to this place because she could take less and still meet her quota. She was just trying to practice her art with a little less detriment to others. Instead she was here, being interrogated by everyone she came across.

"I don't need to mock you, your situation mocks itself." She said, replying to the first pair before turning to the giant that had appeared in the alley.

She absentmindedly sprang a couple feet up the wall, not in any attempt to escape, just trying to get closer to the man's head height.

"I'm bumbling about attempting to survive." She stated cheerily, "These guys got duped by some loopy guy. And now they're bugging me about it."

Milly was really starting to bore with this, just a short stop off for the Humble Thief to resupply, that was all she wanted. And now she was likely to be stuck here all day. Lovely.

As Darius navigated through the streets of the festive city, He kept a vigilant eye out for any immoral conduct, he took to venturing through various alleyways on his way to the holy grounds, as though on patrol in Renalim. He missed his city, whilst it was a far cry from being rid of Crime, it was better than many of the villages and settlements he had visited. At least Cithalos has some degree of law enforcement he noted as he saw several men in official looking uniforms, seemingly sober. He continued n his way, his winding path through the city acquainting him with the general layout.

Trystane smiled and thanked the old lady while making a small bow. He was always happy when he found a place with generous people, it made him feel a little at home. He took Onyx’s reigns and walked casually to the stables. After he gave the horse some hay, water and made sure it couldn’t escape, he went back into the Inn.

“Thanks again for the free food for my horse, but I would like to pay for my share!” he said with a big grin. “So, do you have any more rooms available? I don’t know how long I’ll be staying though.” Suddenly his face became more serious as he leaned towards the woman and started to whisper. “But don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone I’m your new favorite customer!”

"very well then" Rodriguez said, heading off to the kitchen to have the cook begin the meal order, when he heard the young man call out behind him.

"And one last thing, Tell me, Azuaqyar, will he really return tonight or is this just the theocracy trying to maintain it's power through some cheap magic."

He turned back to the young man... "Yes," he began "The Sky Lord is returning withing the hour... it is perfectly legitimate..." he grinned at Maximus for a moment...

the young man's beer mug became engulfed in a yellow aura and lifted off the counter a few feet into the air without any force seeming to act on it... if one looked at Rodriguez, they would see his eye's had a bit of a colored tint to them; one of the effects of tuning into the music of the spheres and using their power through Lenach. the mug lowered through the air again, landing softly on the counter top beside Maximus's arm. the yellow aura around it faded quickly after.

Rodriguez looked at Maximus now, smirking a little

"Now, my friend," he began "Don't ever call magick 'cheap' again; for your own sake... there are many people in this world capable of proving that statement very wrong." with that Rodriguez disappeared from out of the counter and into a small hallway leading to the kitchen.

Atton ingnored Amelia, looking to the two men standing in the alley way... this was looking quite suspcious...

"I shall ask you two again," he began, lifting his blade to a ready position... which to say the least was a fiercesome sight... then he sudden;y lowered it... recognizing Decate and Marshall's faces...

"You two?" he asked, puzzled

"Yes, us two." Marshall replied simply "Guess there's no harm in explaining... Atton, a few hours before dawn this morning... a man calling himself Freyal Lupai broke into the Corraway house hold and stole an artifact from the archives beneath the mansion."

Atton's eye's went wide with surprise

"Freyal Lupai!?" he called out angrily "That whore son stole in my city, and you did not report to any magistrate about this crime?"

Marshall looked up at the man sheepishly "Yes," he said...

"That's about right... it's was Samiel's orders though... he wanted to conduct his own small man hunt instead of getting the law involved and shutting down the city and letting Lupai know that we were on to him... though not like it mattered... that mission failed many hours ago..."

Atton looked down at the two of them, furious

"Come with me," he said, turning around and heading out of the alley way "We're going to find the Sage Samiel and have a serious discussion about this..."

the two men followed Atton out of the alley way a bit relunctantly... starting to regret the decision. soon all three men were gone, leaving Amelia standing in the alley way alone... but little did she know that all her loot had been taken during the conversation... or that on the roof top now sat a man veiled in shadows, counting what he'd taken so easily from the young woman and whistling as he placed the Talisman he'd stolen back off of Decate onto his own neck.

"Yes..." Freyal said silently to himself, he couldn't help but laugh... there they had been down below, talking about him the whole time... and here he had been, listening like a shade in a crypt... he had considered taking control of Atton with the jewel that glowed a bright scarlet in his vest pocket... but such size of body would not be helpful when thieving... he looked down at Amelia, gleening as he stood up, placing all her loot in his bag

"It was a hefty decision... but it looks like I'll just take your loot and let you live afterall." with that the true King of Theives took off across the roof tops, leaping from one to another like a ninja and soon disappearing into the night as he reached up and gripped the talisman in the middle of a jump across buildings.

((Freyal only took what Amelia herself had stolen from the crowd herself earlier... all her personal belongings had no value to him and were left without being tampered with))

The elderly women looked at Trystane mysteriously, still smilling. "oh, no no, young man..." she said a little ominously "I can see your future... you'll be out of this city before daybreak... you won't need a room tonight." with that the old woman disappeared. a moment later a young lady appeared from a hallway leading further back into the inn.

"Oh," she said upon noticing Trystane there "Terribly sorry for the wait, ser," she gave a short bow

"Would you like to book a room?" she smiled at him as she stepped behind the counter... it smelled like wild herbs for some odd reason...

Hukuna

A man walked over to Sinbad, addresing him as he approached... his mustache was strange... and so were his glasses... they had pitch black lenses.... but the man wore full armor, a sword sheathed at his side...and even more, he had on a white full body cloak stripped with grey... the mark of a magistrate in Cithalos

"Sir, I'm afraid going to need you to come with me." he said in a weird accent, appearing to be chewing something as he spoke

(OOC: ...Personal belongings? Hehe. There's a slight problem with that. Ima let her keep the knife tho, K?

Also, what's the currency here called? I didn't see that anywhere in the OP)

Amelia dropped down to the ground, and immediately noticed something was wrong. There was no jingling of change as her clothes flapped about. She checked her pockets. Empty, except for the knife she'd slipped from Decate. She'd let her guard down when Decate had turned out to not be the real Lupai. She angrily stomped her foot against the ground, and felt a sudden sharp sting as a loose stone sliced it open. Her eyes widened in fear and surprise. She had no money, she couldn't steal anything, she couldn't buy proper bandaging, and now she had a cut. She sat and flipped her foot up to see how bad it was. To her dismay, it was actually quite deep. She needed medical attention quickly. If it were slightly less, she could tear off a piece of her cloak to stem it temporarily. But with a gash like this, it wouldn't help. She looked around desperately, her eyes running back and forth frantically. Then she slapped herself, literally. She was in an alley, there wasn't going to be anyone or anything here to help her. Panicking like this wouldn't solve her problem, she would just be running lower on time. She tore off a small piece of her cloak and tied it around her injured foot. then she stood and walked out of the alley. The entrance wasn't nearly as busy as when she'd first entered, and she wondered exactly how long the whole Lupai fiasco had gone. That wasn't her problem right now though, she walked carefully out towards the east, hoping she might be able to find someone willing to help her. Or to steal what she needed from.

(OOC: Apparently temper tantrums can be deadly XD)

"Now, my friend," he began "Don't ever call magick 'cheap' again; for your own sake... there are many people in this world capable of proving that statement very wrong." with that Rodriguez disappeared from out of the counter and into a small hallway leading to the kitchen.

Maximus cursed under his breath, of course he'd insulted a mage. He sighed as Rodriguez walked away and took a swig from the ale he'd been given. It was quite good, good enough to make a man like Maximus apologize for insulting Rodriguez. It wasn't that Maximus hated mages or Cithalocism, it was just that those things weren't nearly as important to an Ekarder as they were to the life here. He didn't quite understand how men could be so eager to please a deity that they'd leave there own friends and family to suffer. Maximus looked down at the mug, empty. He'd been absentmindedly drinking away while he was lost in though. Maximus looked over in the direction that Rodriguez had left through, only to note that the man was still in the kitchen. He decided to call out to the man, feeling the effects of the ale starting to take hold, "Barkeep, another Ale when you have the chance."

"So somebody knows of the Great Sinbad then eh? Well things are looking up in this city that is for sure." Sinbad said, a grin plastered on his face. He would entertain this man for a time, he didn't have much else to do. If things got bad however he still had Bianca at his side. She was good in a pinch, just like the real Bianca. "Lead the way friend, but let it be known that Sinbad gets easily bored." he chuckled to himself.

Rodriguez heard Maximus call out for another ale as he talked with the cook, giving him the order. the barkeepers eyes again took on a faint yellow hue as before Maximus's very eyes, his mug levitated over across the counter and underneath the barrel spicket, an orange aura around it as the lever became engulfed in a similar light and was depressed down wards, causing a stream of fresh froth and ale to flow into the mug. the lever shot back up as soon as the mug was filled near the top. the object then floated back over, positioning itself near Maximus's arm on the counter once again, the ale inside sloshing a little as the yellow aura again faded.

back in the kitchen, Rodriguez's eyes lost the yellow hue as he looked to the cook.

"You were saying?" he asked simply. the two men continued their conversation about where Esmerelda had disappeared to a few moments ago as the cook went over to the chopping block, pulling out a fresh slab of beef and beginning to carve into it with a sharp knife that had been heated in the fire.

Hukuna

the magistrate nodded, turning and walking off down a side street... Sinbad followed him, and before long, the two men had arrived in the white town district, named as such for the color of the buildings here. the magistrate disappeared into noticably large building's doors, Sinbad behind him. they entered into a large lobby... the walls were a rich golden hue from the light of torches lining them. the floor was marble and had the symbol of the church emblazoned in obsidian in the center of it. in the lobby were several short, rectangular tables, with other men in white cloaks and some in armor and some not sitting behind them, talking to various individuals on the other side of the desk. there was two stair cases at the back of the lobby, one leading up and another leading down. the magistrate led Sinbad down the latter one, emerging into a space with a slate grey floor lining a long corridor with several rooms with heavy, wooden doors. the magistrate went over to the first one on his right and put his palm on the door, a soft Click! sounding from it as he pushed the once-locked door open.

"Gotta love that magick." he said to himself. inside the room beyond the door was simple rectangular table made of wood. two chairs were pulled up to it, with another two in the back corners... which held two magistrates in them. they looked up at Sinbad and the Magistrate who had unlocked the door. both of them had their hands on their swords.

"He matches the description allright..." said one of them. the other was completely silent.

The funny looking magistrate who had led Sinbad here went over to the far seat at the table and sat down as the door slammed shut and another soft clicking sound echoed forth.

"Sit down, ser" the funny looking magistrate said, still chewing on something.

"We simply wanna ask you some questions."

Samiel and Aaron and Deric looked around the West Market square.

Deric spoke silently to Samiel

"Weren't they supposed to have been here by now?"

"Yes," Samiel began, still scanning the crowd, which was virtually none existent now that the ceremony was so close to beginning... most everyone had gone to the holy grounds to witness it, only a few straglers remained... and none of them were the four Samiel had sent out at dawn this morning to recover his stolen property.

the Sage sighed dissapointedly

"Perhaps Lupai has figured out how to use the jewel... if that's the case, then there's no way they could've caught him..."

while Samiel and Deric were talking with one another, Aaron glanced off to a side street in the distance... noticing someone limping there, favoring one foot over the other...

curious, Aaron decided to see what was going on. he willed his chair to move, floating over to where the Side street connected with the main market square... he looked down the side street... he could see some type of wrapping on the person's foot, it was soaked through for some reason.

Aaron looked on tentatively... the person was dirtier than what he was used to seeing in Cithalos... but they were still injured... and he had the power to help them, didn't he?

and besides, it would serve as an excellent opportunity to test his skills in healing magicks...

"You need some help?" he asked

"Must be some pretty important questions if they sent you to come get me." SInbad sain, a grin still on his face. He walked over to the seat, and placed his feet up on the table, lounging back into the seat. "So what is it you want? If it is an autograph, I don't do those for just anyone."

Maximus clapped as his mug arrived. This guy was pretty good. In the Drake Vale, tapping in to the spheres wasn't too common a practice, especially not for tavern owners. Maximus decided to keep on drinking, if he wasn't wasting his Mytas, then why stop. He took another swig from the mug and waited patiently for his food to arrive.

"Alright, then ser," the magistrate said.

"I'm Magistrate Boho, and I'll be asking the questions here, let's begin." Boho leaned forward on the table, his black spectacles bearing deep into Sinbad's soul

he reached into his cloak and pulled out a bloody Crossbow bolt, placing it on the table. he looked at Sinbad, his face emoitionless as he asked the question, still chewing something.

"You recognize this?"

Rodriguez held up his hand in a halting motion to the Cook.

"Stop," he said "Just, stop talking for a moment... Where did you say she went?"

the cook shoke his head as he picked up the slab he had carved and placed it on a plate, the meat still steaming from the fire.

"I don't know," he said "She just went past here and through the back door... and then she was gonzo."

Rodriguez cursed under his

"Damn it... she must have went to go after that theif from earlier... thought we were clear that we weren't going to actually kill her... looks Esmerelda changed her mind about that..."

he looked to the cook as the other man pulled a slab of pork out of the fire and began carving a slab from it.

"And you say she tore off her apron and took the metal rod that we use to prop the door open when we take out the trash?"

The cook nodded as he placed a fresh cut of steaming pork on the plate along with the beef

"Yes, Rodriguez. I saw her do it clear as day... and she looked pissed about something... keep muttering something about a... Nix Fucking Interloping letting some little whore escape... I just ducked back into the kitchen, I did no want to be on the receiving end of one of her rages."

Rodriguez nodded, sighing

"Looks like I'ma have to stop her from her warpath... I'd rather fight the Sky Slayer and his drake... at least then I'd have a higher chance of coming back in one piece..." with that Rodriguez picked up the plate and walked back out to the counter, calling out as he went.

"Romon, to me!" in the distance a young man answered

"Yes, boss!" a young man in a black tunic and pants with long dark hair and hazel eyes rushed out to join Rodriguez as he walked down the long hallway. he looked to him as he neared the corner leading back to the counter.

"Your training is complete, you will be taking over for me at the counter tonight, think of it... as a test... do not fail me."

The young man nodded

"Yes, Boss!"

"Good" said Rodriguez, handing the plate to the young man. "Take this to the man sitting at the counter, and refill his mug whenever he request. his bill is to be placed on my tab, understand?"

"Yes, Boss!" Romon said, taking the plate and entering out behind the counter. he approached Maximus and placed the plate on the counter.

"Here is your order, sir." he said in a strange accent... he seemed to empathize syllables with an S sound in them...

Rodriguez nodded as he watched the apprentice, then turned and walked down the hall, approaching the back door as he drew his sword from his belt.

"God..." he began "Don't let me be to late to stop that woman."

With that he pushed the door open and dashed out into the night, the door slamming shut behind him.

"Aye, it is a crossbow bolt, though not one that would properly work with Bianca. She uses custom made bolts for quicker reloading and more velocity when flying trough the air. That there is a bog standard bolt could be gotten anywhere, easily for sale at any weapon shop." Sinbad said, utmost confidence in his voice. He had seen that type of bolt many places, as it was just as common as he said. The bolts he had in comparison were much different, smaller with a clearly different Metal for the tip. While as the common one had simple black Feathers, Sinbad's had ones that were coloured in such a way to match a Peacock's tail feathers. "You need help catching this guy or something? I never thought I would find any adventure in this town, but hell I might just take you up on it." He said, accompanied by a hearty laugh.

Amelia looked up in surprise. She was just barely limping, most wouldn't take a second glance it her. It wouldn't appear as deadly to their eyes as to hers.

"Well, um, yes, actually." She said, her voice failing to mask her surprise, "See, I cut my foot, and I know that doesn't sound very bad, but I have a condition that makes it so I don't stop bleeding naturally, so if I don't get it bandaged soon I'll bleed out."

Her words spouted in a jumbled mess and she cringed, "I'm so sorry sir, that came out far more jumbled than I intended. But if you had some bandages, that would be most helpful."

She felt so silly, spilling everything to a random stranger like that. But at the same time, she desperately needed help. Blood was already starting to seep through as the shred of her cloak became saturated. She honestly had no idea how long it would take her to bleed out, just that it would happen. She absolutely unwilling to risk any longer than necessary with any wound. Death was not on her to-do list, especially not death by foot stamping.

She giggled at that thought, it suddenly seemed so silly. But she sobered quickly, it would seem unkempt for her to be laughing in such a situation.

"Oh, sorry sir." Milly said, "I shouldn't really be laughing, but I just thought about how I came to be in this situation, and I-..."

She trailed off, where were her thoughts going? She must have been losing more blood than she thought, because she was feeling light-headed. That seemed far too fast, and she looked down. Her foot, there was blood pooling around it. A certain loopiness struck her again. All this, from a rock. Then she realized, she hadn't been thinking about how she was walking, with how rough and worn the roads were, especially after a large market day, she was bound to be making the wound worse by walking around without care. Her breathing became heavy as shock and panic began to set in again. This time with the addition of blood loss to accelerate it. She couldn't think clearly, and now she was hyperventilating. If she couldn't calm herself, she would pass out soon. All her thoughts converged on one thing: She had to stay awake. Determination struck her, she steeled herself, and forced her body to stay upright.

"Please, help me." She said to the man.

The determination had failed to reach her eyes, and if one looked into them, they could see her fear.

"Alright then." said Boho, reaching and retrieving the cross bow bolt and putting it back in his cloak. he was abit impressed by the man's answer...

it was spot on... he had been expected for an evasive answer like 'oh it's just a bolt covered in blood...' not for a near expert analysis of the object.

"If you're willing to help, then that's fine now that we know that it couldn't have been you who fired this bolt." Boho leaned forward on the table again

"about half an hour ago, a man was found dead in an alley way... he was slightly intoxicated, lying on his side with the bolt I showed you protruding from his chest... whoever fired it knew what they were doing... it missed all his vital organs... but it cut a major artery; he bleed out in a few minutes..."

He leaned back in his chair now, his feet propped up on the table like Sinbad's were

"What this may or may not mean," he began "Is that this may or may not be a case of self defense..."

he pulled out a small fusil... the wick was burned to the point where it was allmost to the powder chamber...

"This was found on the dead man's person... in his hand... we found no ignition source, so we believe he may have used Lenach to set the wick alit." he placed the tiny weapon on the table, unloading a small metal sphere from the barrel and placing it beside it. he then paused, letting Sinbad soak all this in before he continued.

Aaron looked as the woman's condition seemed to worsen... the pool of blood beneath her bandaged foot confirmed this.

"Alright, here, sit down before you pass out." he said as his eye's took on a greenish hue and a cracking sound echoed from the stones by where Amelia stood... green lightning crackled as the stones seemed... liquefy almost and mold themselves into the shape of a small chair and stool that protruded abruptly out of the ground of the square.

his eye's lost their green hue.

"Go on, sit, I don't have bandages, but I've got magick, which will work even better." he said

Eric looked on as the young women peered around the shop, examining various items. he saw the Scythe she bore on her back and knew what she was instantly. he walked over to her.

"See something that catches your eye?" he asked her cheerfully.

"Well, it would be no surprise... You're an Apothecary after all... and this is the head quarters of operation..."

"May be the work of a fellow sniper, that is a tricky shot to pull off. Either way, definitely skilled with a Crossbow, most likely a Heavy Variant. As for the fusil, don't know much of Powder Weaponry." Sinbad said. "It's wick is definitely unnaturally burned though, as you can see around the lip of the Powder Chamber" SInbad pointed to the edge of the Powder chamber, carefully avoiding touching it. There was a slight purple tinge there. "For whatever reason, Magick Flames leave that purple residue on the edges of the Powder Chamber, making the weaponry dangerous to fire, having fixed these bastards up, it is only ever a last resort to light a Fusil with a Lenach flame."

Amelia nodded and followed the mans instructions. She considered herself lucky to have found a healer out here.

"Thank you." She said quietly.

He mind felt empty, she calmed fairly quickly. She could hear the sound of her blood pooling, smell the slight saltiness it gave off. Her eyes picked up every twitching hair on the man's head. Time felt painfully slow for some reason. Her heart pounded in her ears and she could hear it slowing. Then her senses retracted and everything seemed normal once more. She took a deep breath and waited for the man to do his work.

Boho nodded

"Well, you right about the crossbow and partially right about the Fusil." he said, picking up the small weapon and pointing to the purple residue

"This reisdue right here is only left behind when someone who is untrained in magicks lights a magick flame on a wick... a studious mage would be able to better control the fire, and never let such sloppiness slide on their behalf. but like you said, it's a last resort because of that..."

he placed the weapon back into his cloak. the door flew open. Boho stood up.

"Well, ser, you're free to go, and please, keep an eye out for anyone bearing a crossbow... from where the trajectory of the bolt hit the man, we beleive the one who fired it may have been a few inches shorter than the victim, so look for individuals a bit on the short side lugging around heavy crossbows."

Aaron went to work fast, Tuning in to the spheres... his eyes took on a white, milky hue as the women's foot became engulfed in a bright white aura... he focused harder, beginning to hear the voices again... they tried to show him a vision, but he pushed them away, told them now was not a good time for him to fall into a trance. they listened and witheld their visions, yet still spoke to the young man as he focused even more, guiding him... taking him to the most complex levels of the Aria of the Dawn...

as the glow surrounding the women's foot grew ever brighter... the blood soaking the wrapping began to receed, flowing back into her body. the wrapping fell away, revealing as the deep gash on her foot was now far smaller...

within seconds, the wound was completely healed. Aaron let the voices speak to him again, and show them their vision... his head lulled to the side, seemingly asleep...

Octavia looked up, turning to face the speaker with slight surprise in her eyes. She already had some glass vials in her hand and a few of them were already filled, also clutched in her hands were various herbs, roots and flowers. She made a slight gesture to them to answer his first question.

"What sort of head quarters?" she asked, looking around the room more carefully. It was a particularly well stocked shop, some of the things they had were pretty difficult to find through Octavia's experience.
