Eric smiled at Octavia

"Why, this is the headquarters for every Apothecary in the world." he said "It's where every wild herb in existence is cataloged and specimens of them are stored for study... It's also were the most Experienced in the profession come... If you work here, than you had to have made a name for yourself in the field."

He looked at the various supplies in Octavia's hands

"I can ring all that up for you, If you'd like."

Hukuna

"Alright then," called out Boho as Sinbad left

"Will do!"

as soon as the man had exited the room and gone back upstairs, Boho turned to the two other magistrates.

"Roy, Rodney, get up off your asses; their's still a homicide to investigate... let's get back out there."

Roy looked up at Boho as he got up from his chair, taking his hand away from the hilt of his sword.

"Alright then." he said. Rodney got up from his chair as well, and the three men procedded out of the room and down the long corridor, arriving at a large steel door at the end with several locks.

Boho tapped into the music of the spheres and undid them all one by one, causing the huge door to become unlocked and slowly fall open... beyond it was a short stair case. the three men walked up them, entering onto the street after pushing open another set of doors, these one's like that of a cellar. Boho closed and locked them behind them. he locked to Roy and Rodney as he drew his sword, which glowed an eerie green in the night air.

"Remember," he said

"The suspect we're looking for is on the short side and is good with archery...it's up to us to find out more to go on besides that. move out!"

With that Boho took off down the street, soon disappearing from sight. Roy took out his blade and scaled a nearby building, the sword in his hand flashing with a yellow aura as he took off into the night, leaping from roof top to roof top like a ninja, his white and grey striped cloak billowing out behind him as he went. Rodney was left standing there...

"Well.." he muttered to himself, drawing his own blade... which unlike his colleagues, had no elemental affinity... it was just a dull grey... such was the lot of the junior Magistrate on the team...

"Might as well get to work." with that he walked off in the opposite direction that Boho had run off in.

Atton looked around the reading chamber, which was empty except for himself, Decate, and Marshal. he turned around. looking at the two smaller men.

"I thought you said he was here." he said simply, he looked quite intimidating with his cloak draped around him. his sword, Rosefeller, was now sheathed at his side.

Marshell looked around as he answered

"I did... he said that he would be here before the resurrection..."

Decate interjected

"He said for us to meet in the West Market Square at night to report to him... that's probably where he is."

Atton nodded simply, walking out of the chamber, having to duck to get through the door way. Marshall and Decate followed behind.

“Would you like to book a room?” a young lady who just appeared behind the counter asked.

Trystane didn’t respond but looked a bit surprised. The statement of the elderly woman had caught him off guard and he was a bit confused. “Uhm apparently I don’t need one tonight,” he said. “But I’m looking for a meal. By the way, where did that old woman go to?” he asked while trying to catch a glimpse of where she went. “And why does it smell like an herb shop in here all of a sudden?”

The young lady looked at Trystane, puzzled.

"Why yes sir, there's a pub just across the way..." she said, answering his first question...

"But ser, what old woman are you talking about? I'm the only one working the counter tonight..."

Headquarters for every Apothecary in the world.... Well, that's great to know. Octavia wondered as he spoke and she nodded. "That would be great if you can ring this up, thanks," She said, although she was somewhat preoccupied as she spoke the words. Every wild herb in existence, well, a fire would be a true disaster here, she mused, I wonder if they would ever let me take a peek through here...

"So, if you work here, what is it that you have done to make a name for yourself?"

“What? But… but… she was just he-,” Trystane took a deep breath and smiled a little. “Never mind. I’m so sorry Miss, I didn’t mean to startle you. I bumped my head earlier today and must be experiencing some after effects.” He started to scratch his head, still keeping up his fake smile. He was seriously confused. Who was that woman? What did she want from him and could she really see into the future?

“I think I need some fresh air. I might be back for that meal though.” He took the young woman’s hand and gave her a kiss while making a small bow. “If you would excuse me, Miss.” With that he left the inn, went to the stables and took Onyx with him. He didn’t feel comfortable leaving the horse alone and maybe a small ride would clear his head.

Eric walked over to the front counter, turning to Octavia as he waited for her to place down the items...

"Yeah... I've made a name for myself as an apothecary..."

He looked away, avoiding Eye contact. his voice went dark for a moment.

"But I'd really rather not talk about it..."

He looked up again, his face emotionaless now.

"But... enough about that... your total will be 200 Myta." he said, the friendlyness in his voice completely gone now

Octavia followed him, quickly placing the items on the counter. Ouf... I really want to know though, she thought to herself but instead she gave a quick nod. "That's alright," she said quickly in response to his reaction. "I just asked to see what sort of things qualify as making a name." She tried to keep her tone light as she spoke but she shifted her weight on her feet awkwardly as she fished out the money. Making quick work of sorting out the money, she handed it to the impassive man.

"Here ya go," she said, placing the recently bought goods in her cross body bag. I should keep doing what I am doing, perhaps some day I could work here.... Although, his reaction is odd, what is it that has happened.

Eric took the money and deposited it into the register, closing it and then locking it back. he then walked out of the room through a door behind the counter, which slammed shut behind him...

something had dropped out of the young man's pocket as he had turned... and now lay on the counter top...

it was a leather bound journal. there was a strange glyph on it.

Octavia walked gently over to the book and picked it up, inspecting the texture and checking out the thickness, from the way it seemed to be used she guessed it to be either a log of some sort or a diary. A brief glance through the pages told her it was a diary but after said glance, she closed it once more.

I should give this back, she thought, biting her inner cheek. He already seems somewhat upset, but... Her mismatched eyes flickered across the glyph. Not much damage would be done by a stranger reading another stranger's diary, correct? I doubt there will ever be a time that I meet this man again, I'm a decent apothecary but I doubt that I would ever make a name for myself anyway. A crease formed her brow as she thought, soundlessly tapping her fingers on the leather.

He is going to be back for it soon but I just want to glance through to see at least an outline for what he has done... If I stand where the door is going to open and if I fail to sense him coming and close the book, I should have sufficient time to drop the book and act surprised, in such a case, I could say I was about to return it but I was examining the symbol on it. A smile flickered on her face, sounds great to me!

Feeling proud of her nefarious plan, she silently stepped into position and took a deep breath, pushing a strand of her hair out of her eyes as she put her head down and looked at the book in her hands. Focusing on her hearing, she opened it.

As soon as Octavia opened the small journal and began trying to actually read what was written in it, the words on the first page disappeared, becoming lost in a smoky cloud of ink blackness on the page...

the black spread out, covering the whole surface... within seconds new words began the form out of the darkness as it slowly retreated, revealing the faded yellow of the page.

Is this what you do when no one is looking?

Eavesdropping into other people's private personal accounts?

...

...

Apparently it is... since your still holding this journal open, trying to read it.

My name is Eric Vonters. I am the owner of this journal and the hand that penned all the words therein...

I'd say to look for me and return this journal to me...

but if this is the type of person you are, I'd much rather you just drop this book back where ever you found it... I don't want to meet you.

Go on, drop it where you found it. don't think about stealing it, I will find you eventually; the enchantment on this makes it so that you can run, but never hide... I'll always know where it is.

Eric stopped as he walked down the underground hallway connecting the shop to the actual headquarters building... he checked his pants pocket, feeling it was empty...

Damn... must've fallen out he thought to himself as he focuesed his mind and located the book...

he could sense it was behind him. the only possible place was the shop he had just left. he turned around, walking up the small stair case and turning the knob to the door, pushing it inwards...

It seemed to be jammed. he continued trying to get it to work, his rattling the knob creating a large amount of noise in the shop beyond the door.

As the words changed, Octavia bit down hard on her inner cheek, to the point of blood being drawn. After reading the words on the first page she wondered if something would happen if she flipped to another page but that idea was shot down after being shamed by the words of the book. Although.... her curiosity was pulling at her, for such effort into ensuring it would not be read or taken, what could possibly have been written? The words and personal thoughts of a person- idiot.

The rattling at the door startled her, making her swallow her heart, which had jumped up her throat. Her mind quickly ran through the two scenarios that she could try, she was unsure if the charm ever reversed itself but she would rather not the chance of being found out. Either she could place it on the floor at a believable location and pretend that she was just looking at another item that caught her eye before leaving... Or, she could give it to him directly and say that she was just about to return it. The latter idea was less likely for her to do as, judging from Eric Vonter's apparent personality, he would probably check the first page. Or perhaps... she could say that she dropped it and accidentally tried to read the first page... I don't know what is worst, hidden cowardice or obvious cowardice.

She gritted her teeth for a brief moment and she forced herself to relax. Either way, it would be pretty awkward to return here in the future, he will know and probably remember, I don't have the most generic face either... Damn these eyes.... Octavia looked to the door handle, which was rattling loudly. She frowned. Is he... stuck...? He did slam the door, didn't he... Should I call out or help...

Maximus watched as Rodriguez made his way out of the bar. Rodriguez was skilled in magic, but the Ekarder knew he'd be able to lend the barkeep a pair of hands. Maximus stood up and took a huge swig from his jug, no point in wasting good ale, then looked down at the delicious meat that now laid on his plate. Again, there was no point in wasting fresh meat, so Maximus decided he'd have his meal on the road. He picked up both slabs of meat, one in each hand and turned to the new waiter, "Romon, I believe it was, I expect a fresh ale waiting in this spot when I return." With that Maximus walked out the door chomping on his slab of beef, in search of Rodriguez.

Freyal leapt down to the street level from a low lying roof top, rolling to break up the force of impact, his body still completely invisible. he got up, gazing into the apothecary shop before him... this one had a large selection, probably the largest one would find...

which also meant it had quite a few rare specimens on it's shelves... Specimen's that would fetch hefty prices on the black market down along the southern shoreline of the Continent... He'd been planning to hit this place when he was working out what he would be going after in Cithalos... tonight had been the easiest possible time, what with the festivities and all... he'd chosen it to begin his spree in the holy city just for that reason...

and with himself now literally unseeable, it would be as easy as walking into this shop and taking merchandise as he walked by the shelves, placing the goods into his bags as he moved. he entered through the open doorway, spotting a young woman with a scythe on her back standing in the shop, her head down as she looked to be reading something. he ignored her for now, silently swiping a whole row of rare herbs, their roots scarlet and shiny; it was blood root... named for it's red root system, and it's blood purifying properties... ground it up into a tea and any envenoment would be cured... it only grew in extremely high places that had thin atmospheres... like the peaks of the Cithal Range...

next he moved across the way, swiping three light tombs from another shelf, the gold lettering on their spines spelling out their various titles, not that the Theif King, Freyal Lupai would be green enough to allow his curiosity to cause him to pause whilst thieving and examine something in as much detail as reading it. the fact that they were high up on the shelf and not down below meant that they must have had some valuable information in them, since only those experienced would be looking for them and not the majority of those who entered the shop...

Freyal smiled... it helped out very much in a Thief's workings to have a good understanding of the science of advertising and merchandise placement... made it much easier to determine which items were of high value at a simple glance... having emptied that shelf, he went on, cleaning out more and more of the merchandise... his bag was swelling with stolen property now. he was near where the young women was now... it had only taken him a minute or two to fill his bag this much... and she was completely oblivious to him as she looked down at the pages of the book in his hand...

Freyal didn't know where the book had come from in regards from it's positioning in the shelves, but he figured it would still probably be worth something to someone... he snatched the book out of Octavia's hands, as quick as lightning, closing the journal and stowing it in his bag... he felt it's wieght on his shoulder as he did... he knew he would have a hard time getting away in a timely fashion if he took anything else from here without first unloading his current loot. he turned and dashed out of the shop, scaling the same building he'd leapt off of less than three in a half minutes ago and leaping off across roof tops once again, putting some distance between him and the shop.

Eric stopped rattling the knob. "Damn it..." he muttered as he tuned into the music of the spheres and his hand and eyes took on a dark green hue. he then placed his palm against the door, willing the energy cloaking his hand to burst outward, sending the door flying open, the jam in it now gone, hitting the wall with a loud bang!!

Eric stormed into the shop, then stopped when he saw Octavia still standing there... he looked around, and didn't see his journal anywhere in the shop... he focused his mind again, locating it... it was heading north... and quite fast... it was getting farther and farther from here with every passing second. He gritted his teeth as he came to the conclusion that someone must've taken it somehow... and that was confirmed when saw that several of the shelves around the shop were completely bare of the merchandise that had been there a few minutes ago...

Looks like whoever took my journal also robbed the place... he thought to himself as he walked over behind the counter and pulled out a half- crescent shaped, golden blade that had a pole running along the length of the back of it. he pressed a button on the pole, the rest of the Scythes handle fell down out of it in sections, each one a bit smaller in circumference than the last. he looked at Octavia, a wrathful, angry glean in his eyes as he spoke to her, an edge in his voice as he took his golden bladed scythe and rested the head of it across his shoulders, holding the rest of the handles length out beside him in the air, kept balanced by his arm.

"You have two minutes to tell me who robbed this shop and made off with my journal" he said demandingly, his fingers tapping on the handle of his scythe impatiently.

Esmerelda stalked down the alley way, the young woman at the other end retreating as she approached, the fear obvious in her every movement.

"P-Please..." she pleaded as Esmerelda began moving towards her even faster, spinning the six foot long iron rod in her hands as she walked.

"I... I'm sorry for stealing from the bar... I'll never target you again, or anyone else... I'll give up being a theif!" She was trying to bargain for her life now... she could see the cold, murderous fury in Esmerelda's eye's.

Then suddenly Esmerelda stopped halfway from her... simply standing there, weapon in hand... glaring at the theif. she let out a slight laugh as she began speaking...

"Whore..." she said simply "You know, I've been called that once before today... back long ago before Rodriguez saved me from dying alone in the dessert..."

She looked up to the moon, gazing at it's fullness... she then leveled her gaze to the young thief...

"How old are you, girl?" she asked "nineteen? twenty maybe?" the thief nodded her head slowly, afraid of what would happen if she did not respond to the question...

"Sit down." Esmerelda demanded, a second later an old barrel engulfed in a yellow aura flew out from the corner of the alley way, knocking the theifs legs out from under her, she fell on her backside on the hard, aged wooden surface of the barrel... she didn't try to get up from it. The yellow hue left Esmerelda's eyes as she walked towards the young thief a little more, she could see that the little criminal was now crying, tears steady pouring down her cheeks as she looked up in terror.

"I'm going to tell you a story, girl... a story of what happened to my family, and what happened to me when I was around your age..."

Rodriguez ran out into the streets, his sword swinging up and down along with his arms as he sprinted, now quite far from the bar... he had no idea where Esmerelda had gone... because he had no idea where the thief had gone, and she would surely be pursuing her right now... he slowed to a jog and then a complete stop as he came to a crossroads, looking down each street, trying to determine which way to take...

and he couldn't help but think about how he'd found Esmerelda... it had been... what? ten years perhaps since he'd come across her lost in the desert while investigating a case about bandits robbing a merchant family... he'd been dispatched from the capitol to search the deserts for them... and then on the third day of the search, that was when he'd found her... her clothing torn and dirty, she had been bloodied and battered... and dying of thirst...

She was the only member of the family that he or any of the other magistrates on the search found alive... he remembered how he had taken her back to the capitol with him, riding all day and night, riding so hard that his camel had keeled over just a few feet outside the city gates... how he'd carried her to the solar sanctum, and nearly gutted the healer's there when they at first refused to help her...how after the search had been called off because nothing more was found, he'd taken the girl home with him, given her a bed and a place to stay because she had no one left in the world, and no one else willing to take her in... as if she had been his own daughter... but his own daughter had been buried years before...

how he had instructed her in the use of various weapons like the sword and the staff... how he had taught her all he knew about fighting...

how he had retired from the force once he turned forty, as was customary in the sultanate for lawmen to do... how he had decided to take Esmerelda somewhere else on the continent, somewhere where she'd have a chance to start over... how they'd come to Cithalos five years ago and he'd found them both work at a pub in the city... for her so that she could earn some cash and make a living and for him so that he could keep an eye out for her... it was supposed to be temporary at first until they decided where to head to next... but they both had grown to like the city... and so they just stayed here...

All this flashed through his mind as he stood at those cross roads... over the years, Esmerelda had become like a daughter to him... a replacement in a way, for the one that truly was his, but had been taken from him so long ago... shortly before her mother was as well... she was his only family left, his adopted child...

and right now, he needed to make a choice... these crossroads were the options...

then his choice was made when he heard a young woman cry out in terror down the upper left street turnoff... he ran off in the direction as fast as he could, tuning into the Aria of the Gale and using the power of the wind to propel himself even faster and faster as he ran, so fast that soon his feet were barely coming into contact in the ground at all with each foot fall... behind him streaked an orange aura, lighting up the darkened street as bright as day.

Ko'luki Jodel walked into the Alchemy Shop, and headed over to the section that contained the Ingredients for making Wyrm-fire. After getting some Wyrm-Fire Ingredients, he got some miscellaneous Alchemy Supplies from around the Shop, and then headed over to the Cashier in order to pay for the Supplies that he had taken.

Marculo rang up the register as Ko'luki placed his items on the counter...

"working with wrym fire, are we?" Marculo asked light heatedly, trying to make small talk... he'd been set to work this shift tonight... and with the resurrection happening very soon, he was going to miss it because he had to man the damn shop...

so he might as well try to make the most out of it...

"we have several varieties of wicks to choose from if you're interested, fast burning for fusils or slow burning for bombs...or you could use the slowburners in a fusil and light it and use it to interrogate someone on the threat of death... " Marculo smiled sheepishly

"Oh... sorry, ser... got a bit carried away and started rambling... any way, your total is 543 Myta"

Buisness had been good enough to more than cover all of his Costs this year. Ko'luki handed over 550 Myta, and spoke.

"Yeah, I'm doing some R&D on the uses of Wyrm-Fire. you can keep the Change, by the way."

Maximus tore through the streets, while chomping on his meats. Trying to get a figure of which way the man had taken off too. He had come to the realization that the waitress from earlier, the one who had threatened the thief and that he had in turn threatened had been missing. He figured she had gone out for vengeance and that Rodriguez was headed out to stop her. Maximus could only hope he reached her in time.

He turned another corner to catch a glimpse of Rodriguez standing at a crossroads. The Ekarder as about to call out to him, but his mouth was full of pork. Maximus chewed ravenously trying to get the food down then swallowed, ready to call out. However, before he got the chance a loud scream was heard, and Rodriguez quickly headed towards it. Maximus's eyes grew wide, hoping that he and the bartender weren't too late and followed behind Rodriguez.

Octavia, as the book was jerked out of her grasp, made a reflexive grab and punching motion to the direction of the thief but failed as she was too slow. What the-.... Nothing. Octavia saw nothing and no one. No, that was impossible, nothing could not have grabbed that, someone she couldn't see. She glanced around the room. Some of the shelves were nearly empty. IDIOT. HOW COULD YOU NOT NOTICE THAT! She screamed at herself, the annoyance left as quickly as it came, replaced with determination to catch whoever did it. At least I have an excuse now.. she thought sheepishly in the corner of her mind.

Octavia grabbed her scythe from her back and within an instant, made a motion that realigned the blade to the proper position, twisting the handle as she did so, now holding it, blade facing the ground with her left hand. She took a step to pursue but stopped at the loud bang that sounded behind her made her stop and look. Eric. It didn't take long for him to look at Octavia, and he didn't seem too pleased. With good reason.

"You have two minutes to tell me who robbed this shop and made off with my journal." Octavia meet his eyes with a somewhat blank expression, she was thinking how to catch up with the thief that they could not even see. She was also wondering why someone of that sorts targeted an apothecary shop, they had to have had some sort of reason and some sort of knowledge in the topic of Apothecary for them to be any use, unless they were getting it for an accomplice. She felt a pang of unreasonable annoyance towards Eric, annoyed that he thought she was involved but understanding as she was the only supposed to be witness. A small part of her wanted to ask where he got the scythe, for it was quite nice but she shoved the thought away.

"Less than that, good luck finding whoever took it, I can't see them. I was about to hand you your journal but it was taken from my hands, when I looked, there was no one." As she spoke, there was a slight bite to her words, although it was not directed to Eric, it had seeped into her tone. "We need to hurry to catch the thief," she said. With that, the woman ran out of the store, stopping outside to look around to see which direction he could have gone off to.

Marculo took the 550 Myta and deposited it into the register.

"Why, thank you, ser." he said handing Ko'luki his items, smiling, his voice friendly.

"Though, would you mind me asking what sort of R&D?" he asked innocently, not trying to seem like he was trying to draw the conversation out just so that he would have something else to do instead of stand here for the next three in a half hours until midnight when his shift would end.

Supernovae

Stratos lowered his blade, staring at Esmerelda as she took an aggressive stance, her eyes focused on the young woman behind him. the iron rod she had been wielding lay on the ground in two pieces, sliced cleanly through when Stratos had intervened and blocked the blow that would've surely caved in the skull of the girl now cowering behind him and killed her.

"Are you alright?" he asked as he glanced to the girl, tears still streamed down her face as she nodded, appreciative of this strange white haired man who had come out of nowhere and saved her.

"Yes...ser..." she replied. Stratos returned his sights to Esmerelda. "What's going on here?" he demanded... he'd been leaping across rooftops trying to find a suitable hiding place to wait for Azauqyar to re-arise and strike... but he had heard weeping from an alley way and had decided to stop and investigate...

Esmerelda simply glared at him. "None of your business!" she yelled

"You're just another interloper..." she took a step to the left, and as fast as lightning, Stratos had sheathed his sword and wiped Star Ripper off of his shoulder, now holding the tip up to Esmerelda's throat.

"Do not move any closer to her." he ordered, the spear begining to become engulfed in a blue tinted, white and dark, violet light. "Or else, the next scream that comes from this alley way will be your own, Understand?"

Esmerelda stepped back, still glaring at the two of them... pure hatred was in her eyes. she addressed the thief behind Stratos. "tell me, girl," she began

"After hearing my story, do you still feel proud about calling me 'Ale-Whore'?" she asked accusingly. the thief simply shook her head no. a voice echoed from the end of the alley way just then, catching the attention of all three of them.

"Esmerelda!!" Rodriguez called out, his body covered in a fading yellow aura, his blade drawn and glinting brightly in the moonlight. his eyes went first to Esmerelda, then to the thief, whom he instantly recognized from just a little while ago... he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that she was still alive...

then he noticed the third individual in the alley way... with his snow white hair and glowing eyes that seemed be halfway in between golden and sulfuric yellow in color. he stopped in his tracks...

"Who are you...?" Rodriguez asked, suspicious of the man... then he saw how he had a strange spear pointed at Esmerlda's throat, and his voice took on a threatening edge to it as his eye's took on a scarlet hue and his blade became engulfed in a strange red aura that produced some type of crimson mist around it in the air.

"Lower that spear from my daughter's neck, or I will carve you up like a holiday turkey and then crucify what is left." as he spoke, his whole body began to be engulfed in a similar aura as his sword was... strange noises almost like music began to heard in the alley way, though they were too faint to decipher what they truly were...

Snap Crackle Pop

Eric ground his teeth as his scythe blade began to make a crackling sound and runes became visible on it... he stormed out of the shop past Octavia, absolutely disgusted that she claimed not to see who had robbed the place...

Surely, no one could be that dense that they would not notice a robbery going on around them... no one. he tried to supress his rising anger as he looked to the roof tops and put all his focus into locating his book, opening up a sort of Radar in his mind as he homed in on his enchantment he had placed on the journal...

he knew that whoever had it was moving several dozen feet above the ground, constantly leaping into the air and landing on rooftops... he could sense the wind and noise of foot falls in the area that his journal was in... he looked back to Octavia, snarling as he addressed the young women, as angry at her for being so useless as he was at whoever committed this robbery.

"Get out of my damn sight," he began harshly before looking back to the north "I'm going to find some fucking Magistrates so that I can hunt this whore son down and flay him living..." with that he took off towards the north as fast as he could, the jacket and pants of his black and gold Apothecary guild uniform rippling in the wind as his scythe's blade began to visible crackle with electricity, giving off a deep, azure hue in the night as he moved.

Holding herself back from returning similar rudeness, Octavia waited until he was ahead of her somewhat before she followed after him. She stayed a behind and out of his sight so she figured that was acceptable. Don't care about your diary you sour puss but I want to know how he did that with the invisibility. Besides, they were quick and effective with this thievery, so they are probably pretty experienced, meaning, whoever it is, they have stolen before.

Octavia followed from a distance with relative ease, one does not easily miss a electrified scythe. She felt another jab of annoyance at the man as she realized that he probably thought that Octavia was lying about not seeing him. She wondered if he somehow knew she had read the journal- or attempted to. What ever enchantment was placed on it, it seemed that he could tell it's location. Not to mention, it seemed to be able to tell if the original owner was reading it or not.

Ko'luki smiled, and then answered the Question in a friendly tone of voice.

"I generally focus on the Miniaturization of the Wyrm-fire Weapons, but i've also been working on other Applications of Wyrm-fire. As a matter of fact, I've already got a Blueprint for a new Weapon that uses Wyrm-fire, and all i've got left is to make and test the Prototype. plus, i've got a Fully Finished Weapon that uses Wyrm-fire, as well as something to Launch it with."

and with that, Ko'luki placed his Light Crossbow that he carries with him on the Counter. the Trench of the Crossbow was Deeper and Rounded, and two Bars of Metal were Fastened on the Top of it, seeming to make a "Cage" that would easily launch the next item that he put on the Table: A small, Spherical Chemistry Vial. it was Empty, of course. Ko'luki didn't want any Accidents to happen, as that would be bad for his reputation. he then told the Cashier what he called the Weapon, gesturing towards the Vial.

"I call this here a HED, or Handheld Explosive Device. Usually, it's filled with Wyrm-fire and has a Seal that has a Fuse sticking through it, but i generally don't carry it loaded, for safety reasons. works like a miniature Bomb, but better. In fact, but you can add certain things to it that can alter what it does. Normally, I light the Fuse, and then just lob it at the Target, but when the Target is out of Throwing Range, i use this."

Ko'luki then gestured towards the Crossbow, and he continued speaking.

"I call her Hilda, but her real name is HEDL, which is short for Handheld Explosive Device Launcher. She really boosts the range of the HEDs in a pinch, and those things only need to get near their target to do some damage. there's only one downside to it, though: She can't launch Crossbow Bolts. I tried it once, and nothing happened when I pulled the trigger."

Ko'luki then put the Crossbow back on his Back, and put the Empty Vial back in the Bag, and then asked a question of his own.

"So, how's business here been?"

Maximus rounded the last corner, he had finished off his hunk of meat and there was just one bite of pork remaining. He turned to see Rodriguez, Ezmerelda, the thief from before and ... was that an Ekarder. The man's lance instantly caught his eye, there was no mistaking it, it was a drake lance. He rushed forward as Rodriguez began to glow, clearly he was tuning into the spheres once again. This was a mistake, clearly this Ekarder was reacting in the same way he had earlier. "Stop!" he called as he rushed forward. "There is no need for bloodshed Ekarder, this is a good man."

He finally had made his way into the alleyway and was standing right beside Rodriguez. He put his hand on his shoulder. "Please friend, you don't want to do this put the weapon down..." he then turned to the Ekarder, about to plead with him to drop his weapon, but when he turned to look at him, he finally got a glimpse of his eyes. Gold as the Sun. He looked up quickly to see his hair. Just as he'd though, white as snow. His jaw dropped. What was left of the pork hit the ground. "You... you can't be..." Maximus stepped back a mixture of fear and respect flooded his face, "Sky slayer?!"

Snap Crackle Pop

Eric stopped in his tracks when he saw an eerie green glow in the distance... it looked to be heading towards him... it stopped suddenly, the person now underneath a lamp on the street...

Eric looked at the face which was clear as day in the light...

Eric recognized this man immediately... there was no mistaking those glasses and strange hair and mustache... "Deputy Magistrate Boho!" he called out. Boho turned and looked in Eric's direction, then waved as he recognized the young man. "Oh, hello there, Eric!" he called from the distance "Sorry, but I can't talk, got a homicide suspect to bring in!"

"Boho, the Apothecary Headquarter's shop was robbed a few minutes ago!" Boho disappeared... into thin air...then a voice sounded from behind Eric

"Whoa...whoa... Robbery?" he asked, Eric turned around, not surprised by the magistrates literal tricks of magick that he had used to get behind him.

"Yes," Erick replied simply "There was a women in the shop when it happened, but she said that she didn't see anyone... I'm almost certain that she's covering for whoever did it..."

Boho put his hands on his hips and let out a sigh. "Damn it..." he muttered to himself in his strange accent that had no known origin "Why all these criminals gotta go committing their crimes and what not tonight of all nights?" the question was rhetorical... Boho was very good at his job... he knew exactly why Crimes were happening more tonight.

"Alright," he said to Eric, looking back up at the young man. his eyes unseeable behind the tinted, large lenses of his spectacles. "Let's get to finding the bastard who did it... I've got my two trainees also working on that homicide I was talking about, they'll be fine on their own in the search."

Eric nodded at Boho, grateful for the man's expertise. "Thank you." he said.

Boho shook his head "Don't thank me, Eric, Thank every Magistrate in this city before you go an thank me, because I'm just doin' ma job."

now that Eric took a look at the man's mouth as he spoke, he noticed that Boho was chewing something... though that wasn't uncommon for Boho.

"Now then," Boho continued, "If they've got the stones to hit such a high end shop, then that means they've got a good bit of experience to make them confident in their skills, and rule one of Advanced thievery is..." Boho reached out his hand and clapsed it on Eric's shoulder, the two disappeared from the street, re-appearing on a nearby roof top. Boho took his hand off Eric's shoulder, turning and calling into the night air as he spread his arms out, presenting the sight of the many rooftops of the city skyline as his white cloak rippled in the night wind.

"ALWAYS travel by the roof tops if you want a quick get away!" his exclamation was loud enough that it could be heard from the street Octavia was on.

Marculo stared down at the device Ko'lui had laid on the counter... he looked up at the man... the design...

"This..." he began "Is simply ingenious, ser... Guild Master Eros simply must see this invention..."

Supernovae

Stratos lowered Star Ripper from where he had been pointing it as Esmerelda's throat, addresing Rodriguez as he did so, he ignored Maximus for now.

"Apologies, Ser... I was merely acting to ensure your daughter did not murder this girl. when I arrived here, I found her about to bash the young lady's skull in with an iron pole."

Rodriguez lowered his sword a little after he saw that the spear was no longer a threat to Esmerelda. he stared Stratos hard in the eyes... he had recognized the man from the old legends the minute he had seen him.

"Alright then... I thank you for preventing my Daughter from commiting the murder brewing in her heart."

"So, Sky Slayer, decided to try for a round two with Azauqyar tonight?" he asked

Stratos looked at him seriously "if you know who I am, then you already know the answer to that question"

Rodriguez was silent as he walked over and took hold of Esmerelda's arm, leading her away from Stratos and the Thief girl... she didn't protest, though the same hateful glean remained in her eyes when she looked at the younger woman behind Stratos. The Sky Slayer looked at Maximus....

"And boy, I'm am no Ekarder." He said simply "I'm a full Dragoon." He then glanced at the girl he was protecting, then back at Maximus.

"And before you go spouting off the hundreds of legends about how evil the Sky Slayer is, ask yourself this; If I am truly evil, then why did I intervened and saved this girl's life? why didn't I just keep on my way when I saw a murder about to be commited?" Stratos's voice raised a little as the spear in his hand began to glow with an even brighter light... his anger was clear as he continued, bolts of black and white lighting coursed up and down the weapon's length...

"Go on, Ask yourself, Why did he do it? hm...?"
