Professor Layton: Pokemon Master
Symbol of Fire Sigilyph (M/F) @ Flame orb Trait: Magic Guard EVs: 252 def / 252 SDef Calm Nature - Psycho Shift - Assist Power - Roost - Cosmic Power While making selections for a Possible double rainbow team i happened upon this most excellent Pokemon. Who in my mind is an under rated Gem. Cosmic power is a scary move since it is the only move other then stockpile or one of the variations of ancient power that raise both defenses. Use Psycho Shift to weaken your opponents physical moves and Cosmic Power your way to Impenetrable status and use the combination burn and assist power to decimate foes. There are however a few flaws with this however. i found most critical strikes would fell me in one blow and taunting is also a nuisance especially from Sableye but not so much so from Whimsicott. However if my calculations are correct there is however a single pokemon family who you can do absolutely nothing against if you encounter him with this build, that family being the Houndoom family. There type combination negates both the assist power and the burn, so be forewarned. Other wise this makes a fantastic wall and a nice defense against fighting pokemon. Dragonz996
So this is the one who trolled through my SS team << Houndoom is rarely used, so its not much of a threat
Guest Mafia
Offensive Mind Sigilyph (M) @ Flame Orb Trait: Magic Guard EVs: 16 HP / 248 Def / 32 SAtk / 212 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Roost - Hidden Power (Fighting) / Ice Beam - Stored Power / Charge Beam / Air Slash A more offensive version of Sigilyph. While being less defensive it can hit some pretty massive damage with stored power and +6 sp atk.It is recommended you stick with a orb to avoid status so you can continue a sweep more easily but if you feel greedy you may switch a orb out for leftovers.Hidden power fighting is for stuff that is immune to stored power most notably tyranitar and houndoom the spe may seem a little odd but it gives you 310 spe wich outspeed most average spe pokemon. You may switch the moves to charge beam and Ice beam for the Boltbeam coverage if you so choose to, Air slash is also a option for a flintch effect.
