Bessi
Hi guys i [completed ep 12 and wanted to prepare for the next episode.I feel that my team needs some makeover and i want your opinions. My Main Team is: Infernape-serious-iron fist(mach punch, flame wheel, acrobatics, close combat)still waiting for flare blitz Gyarados-relaxed-intimidate(ice fang, rock smash, aqua tail, dragon dance)getting rid of rock smash when waterfall comes out Gardevoir-serious-trace(psychic,calm mind, shadow ball, moon blast) Manezone-bold-sturdy(discharge,flash cannon, metal sound, magnet rise)looking to make a change in the last two moves Exploud-rash-scrappy(strength,crunch,uproar,boomburst)waiting to learn hyper beam Nidoking-quirky-sheer force(poison jab, earth power, megahorn, sludge wave) i would like to hear some opinions from you guys!!! Etesian
Well, if it's in-game, then this is what I'd do: Swap Infernape's Mach Punch for Punishment. With 108 base speed, being outsped is hardly a concern. The only Pokemon with base speed above 108 which might die in one Mach Punch are Persian, Weavile, Absol, Sneasel, Ambipom, Raichu and Heliolisk. Anything else would hit you anyway, so the 3x stronger Close Combat is much better. Punishment could hit Psychic types hard, especially if they buff themselves. For Gyarados, get rid of Rock Smash for Thrash or Bite. Whenever you get Waterfall, get an HM slave or swap it with Aqua Tail if you want accuracy over power. Or finish the puzzle at the circus and swap Aqua Tail for Dive.. Gardevoir seems fine. If you need a Grass move, which you seem to have none of, you can teach it Magical Leaf. If you need it. Exploud could use some breeding to get Flamethrower and Ice Beam. Same for Nidoking. This could help you: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8566 Oh, and swap Magnezone's Magnet Rise for Screech, keep Metal Sound, helps the team. There's also the guy in 7th Street that changes natures. I'd recommend Adamant for Infernape, Adamant or Jolly for Gyarados, Modest or Timid for Gardevoir, Exploud and Magnezone, and Hasty or Naive for Nidoking. Taska
Bessi if you want Flare Blitz you could just go to the Move Relearner and replace Flame Wheel with that. Other than that, I think your infernape has a good moveset. Instead of removing rock smash for waterfall on Gyarados, why not remove Aqua Tail? It is more accurate than Aqua Tail, and is only weaker than Aqua Tail by 10 damage. Or, get Thrash and replace rock smash for that and replace Aqua Tail for Waterfall. Gardevoir has a good moveset, I don't see any need for you to change it. For Magnezone instead of Metal Sound, why not get Thunder Wave? In case you need to slow down a really fast pokemon or catch a new pokemon, switch Metal Sound for Thunder Wave. Or switch Magnet Rise for Screech. For Exploud, you really should NOT get Hyper Beam. You have a way better move than Hyper Beam in Boomburst. It doesn't need to recharge, does only 10 less damage, and has 100 accuracy. Also, switch Uproar for one of the 3 elemental fangs. I think Ice Fang would be a good idea because 3 of your pokemon are weak to ground type attacks. For Nidoking, I recommend you switch either Poison Jab or Sludge Wave for Thrash, because with Sheer Force, you don't confused and do 33% more damage, and Thrash already does 120 damage. Sadly, Sheer Force only negates positive added effects. Thrash gets no boost and still confuses. Flare Blitz has a chance to burn and recoil damage. Sheer Force removes the burn chance, but you still take recoil damage. The only negative effects it negates are those of held items which occur after attacking, like Life orb recoil. Well even when it's summer, I guess I'm still learning things I thought I already knew xD

If you have the patience, you can get some amazing moves onto Nidoking. As for new team members, whatever you add should replace Exploud. You have no Grass type attacks, no Rock type attacks and your only Bug attack is the unreliable Megahorn. I can wholeheartedly recommend Leavanny. Great stats, it's weaknesses and resistances work well with your team especially because 1/2 of your team is weak to Ground and 1/3 is weak to water. It also gets some nice toys to play with in the form of Leaf Blade, X-Scissor, Swords Dance, Fell Stinger(should it ever be fixed), Sticky Web, Poison Jab(through breeding). My Leavanny took down 4 Pokemon of Radomus' and Luna's Gyms each. There's also the amazing Archeops. 140 Attack and 112 Speed with moves like Acrobatics, Crunch, U-turn, Rock Slide and Dragon Claw is insanely powerful. It's ability is terrible, but easy to manage. Or take Durant. 109 Attack + Hustle, 109 Speed, 112 Defense + Steel typing. Iron Head, Dig X-Scissor and Crunch have only 80 BP, but with that insane attack stat, you could use Tackle and OHKO things.
