Two ideas for a RP. Which do y'all find more interesting?

So since there was not much interest in the Digimon Rp. I was thinking of what else I could do for one. Two ideas came to my mind.

One is my Dragon Academy that I had awhile ago.

The basic idea for this is that the players would play a student of said academy and each student would have a dragon of one of the types I have for it(they are not DnD types) and they would go through the "school year" of the academy.

Two is a called Dwarves of the Five Mountains(for now).

This is based off as a campaign that i had for DnD where each player was a dwarf character. With in the world of this RP the Dwarves are from one of five major clans which have many smaller clans under it. The Dwarves inhabit a interconnected chain of five mountains that basically split the world in half separating the "civilized" part(humans, elves, and the such) and the "wilds"(orcs, goblins, and the such).

So which of the two do y'all find more interesting.if you want more details just ask me.

I like the Dragon academy idea.. but a bit more information would help.. and the dwarves one seems a bit similar to LOTR..

Aqui, the second really can't be like LoTR as there were almost no Dwarves in it since most of them were killed off during the events. Also, Rusty you want me to fire the questions at it now, or you want me to wait until you have an interest thread for one of the 2? (The Dragons one I have already nitpicked at a little bit.)

Perfect theme song for Dwarves already XD. TO be fair I am biased towards Dwarves as I feel a kinship with them. They are so me when it comes to fantasy races lol. I usually Play a Dwarf if I can (except in D and D where I really like off the wall unexpected characters nowadays, but I started playing a lot of Dwarves as well.)

The Dragons one certainly has promise, and I have already asked a bunch about that so I will sapre you on that one for now. I feel like we could get a bit more polictal intrgue and stuff with the Dwarves campaign. Like maybe not have classes that go out and fight but maybe are politicians and and stuff too. (obviously some people would be warriors, as Dwarves really respect their fighters, and are very War-like Honour type of race.) though I doubt you intend this. (Hell, I ma actually thinking of doing a single city based RP in Graterras, where it is more about the daily lives of the people. But it would take a lot of work to make it interesting in the slightest.)

My god that song is way to perfect. Given that the original idea for the campaign came form dwarf fortress so it was a bit silly and wild though it never got that far given it was me and one other person in that one.

(also, want to commend you on cleaning up your grammar a bit, I really had a hard time understanding you sometimes in posts back in Aftermath, and other times. It isn't usually something I like to yell at people about though, since I was at that point one time, so I usually try to not sound like a hypocrite or something similar.)

thank you, I was hoping that my grammar improved a bit sense I started here.(truth be told how i talk doesn't transfer that well to how I type. Mainly because I can't spell that well so I figured instead of trying to type the way I talk I need to use simpler wording. Though I still have problems at times mainly when I am tired.)

I have a similar thing actually lol, and it is why I try to be understanding of it. I am glad to see you improving on it though. I rely on Spell Check heavily sometimes, to be honest. But I don't let it get me down, so what If I am not the best speller out there? I will keep on plying my craft and not let something like that hold me back. So anytime you are feeling down about it, if you even do, remember that even I struggle with it, and I am the Mod of an RP Forum.

Is there magic in this world? If so Can Dwarves access it, or do they have limited access in some way? (like in early D and D only having Priest magic available, or in current D and D where it is seen as a taboo or odd.)

Are Players allowed to be from different clans? If so, how often do these Clans interact? DO they all get along for the most part, or do they all have rivals or clans they prefer to work with?

Are there classes, and if so, what are they?

Will this be in a style to Graterras where you travel the world, or will it be a more static RP, staying in one location, but having the events of that place unfold as we spend more time there?

Does Each Clan have it's own King, or this there a King of All Dwarves somewhere?

How are clans structured?

Will there be a lot of contact with outside races, or will they only be seen occasionally?

Will we be seeing a lot of the Dwarves greatest foes? (Orcs, Goblins, and Dragons.)

Are there non-combat PCs allowed?

yes there is magic that dwarves use. other then priestly magic they use earth magic(Geomancy).

There are only five clans but the clans are made up of many families and example would be Jammon Diamonddeath Gemtapper. Jammon is the Dwarfs name well Diamonddeath is the family name Gemtapper is the clan name.other dwarf home may be out there but they are unknown of right now.

all clans intact at some level. they all have a understanding to work together for the most part but there are rivalries and friendships between the five clans.

Are there classes, and if so, what are they?

kind of each clan specializes in something.Though they all have some sort of understanding of the other clans specialization so they can work better together.

Thunderhammer Clan is mainly mounted warriors

Stoneshield Clan is is mainly infantry like warriors

Gemtappers Clan is mainly miners but they are the clan that is best at Geomancy

Gearsmith Clan is Builders and trapmakers and archers

Scrollwriters Clan are the book/lorekeepers of the tribes also the clan that uses priestly magics the most.

Will this be in a style to Graterras where you travel the world, or will it be a more static RP, staying in one location, but having the events of that place unfold as we spend more time there?

depends on what the players do mainly. The first "plot point" has them heading into the "wilds" to find a lost dwarven outpost that at one point was home to an artifact of great power that may still be there or not.

there use to be a king but not any more each clan has a elected leader that work together to make laws and such through majority vote of the five clans(five clans no tie possible so things get done actually.)

once again depends on what the players do. there are a few settlement of the other races in the wilds(mostly elves.....dwarves don't like elves) but dwarves mainly stay in their mountains unless they have a good reason to travel to the other races homes.

by the gods yes you will. that's what the wilds are filled with and some other things as well.

Are there non-combat PCs allowed?

if there's a good reason for the player to have one then yes.

I meant is there a Caste system or is every Dwarf considered an Equal member of society? Is there an Upper Class and Classes by Job etc. 9for the how they are structured question.)

not really all the dwarves are equal unless they are a convicted criminal. there use to be a noble class but it was done away with once the pact between the five clans was made. all dwarves are expected to be able to or do the same work if required.(or assist in it at some level.)

some times but those will be more practice/training battles.

companions not pets though some people will see them more like tools.

mainly lighter and sillier then most of the others on here like i said it is a anime like school.but there will be darker parts at times...probably.

no, its going to be kind of a mixture of medievalish and modern so no guns(well modern guns anyway) and the such but things like running water and lights are around.

hope that clears up somethings from the looks of things its about even for interest in both of them with a slightly more for the dragons academy one. so I will be doing that one first until it dies or gets finished or i feel like starting the dwarves one. i probably will have the OOC thread or something next week or when i get the "plot" and world worked out a bit clearer then whats in my head.(names for things mainly and a better explanation of the history)

Does this mean that we have to play as students?? or are any roles allowed?? like teachers/principal/parents etc..
