Chrono-Explo
I've been using a near Monotype team for a while now, I feel comfortable usually works very well. Originally this team was meant to be a Gym Leader team for another server, but sadly due to lack of appearance I never got the role. Oh well! Now the team is just for fun and it's often great fun to use! Weavile (F) @ Life Orb Trait: Pressure EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Shadow Claw - Ice Shard - Night Slash - Low Kick The Sweeper. Usually first to strike, often leading a good offensive with a strong attack and astounding speed (383 Speed)! Despite it's frailness it can last a hit or two, if you're lucky, and potentially leave it's mark if it doesn't make the opposing pokemon faint. Umbreon (M) @ Leftovers Shiny: Yes Trait: Synchronize EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Heal Bell - Curse - Wish - Payback The Wall. Set up Curse and more often then not you'll be sitting pretty. It's Naturally good special defence, given a good EV boost, can handle a good onslaught of special attacks, but set up a +6 Curse and you'll have a defence stat of over 1000, with a nice attack stat to ensure some payback with too. Some Wishing and Heal Bell playing will keep it going for a while to come, making it a nice little wall to use. Houndoom (F) @ Houndoominite Shiny: Yes Trait: Early Bird EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def) - Sucker Punch - Sludge Bomb - Shadow Ball - Flamethrower A bit of a mix. With Houndoomite giving it a speed and special attack boost when Houndoom turns Mega it's special attacks are often a OHKO or THKO. The Sucker Punch is often used to leave a final mark if being outsped and knowingly going to faint, has a weaker defence stat, or you just want to troll for a bit. Spiritomb (M) @ Leftovers Shiny: Yes Trait: Pressure EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Will-O-Wisp - Foul Play - Pain Split - Sucker Punch The Prankster. Foul Play is the saviour here, as I've been able to OHKO pokemon such as Talonflame with it. A burn or Pain split is often useful to obtain more HP or halve an opponents attack, helping you to survive a little longer. Mind you, a Sucker Punch here and there doesn't go amiss and is often the move that saves Spiritomb from fainting for just a little bit longer. Bisharp (F) @ Black Belt Shiny: Yes Trait: Defiant EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Iron Head - Brick Break - Sucker Punch - Swords Dance The Offensive. Given the chance Bisharp can wreck. Given it's weakness it does have a tendency to die fairly quickly, but with people using things like Sticky Web more frequently or having abilities like Intimidate, Defiant comes in useful and can easily make a Pokemon faint with a Sucker Punch or two. With Iron Head to fight against Fairies and Brick Break for other Steel, Dark, Normal, Ice or Rock types, give it the chance and Bisharp will leave a sharp sting in the mouth. Yanmega (F) @ Focus Sash Shiny: Yes Trait: Speed Boost EVs: 252 SAtk, 4 SDef, 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Bug Buzz - Air Slash - Protect - Hidden Power [Ground] The Wildcard. Yanmega is a boss. Despite now being moved down to RU in the typical tiers, it can still hold its own in OU. A protect here, Air Slash there, it's high chance to flinch and constant speed boosts leave Yanmega a force to be reckoned with at times. Of Course, it has many weaknesses but with a Sash in hand, and with a Wish from Umbreon it has the potential to even live after landing into some Stealth Rocks and then keep on fighting. Leave your opinion, what do you think? Edited August 27, 2014 by Chrono-Explo
Jelly
Even as a monodark team I see a severe lack of a pursuit trapper to trap those pesky frail attackers that your team seems to have a problem with. I'd recommend replacing your spiritomb set with this one: Spiritomb @ BlackGlasses Trait: Infiltrator EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe Adamant Nature - Sucker Punch - Pursuit - Shadow Sneak - Will-O-Wisp as it basically does the same thing yours does already but with added goodness. :] Edited August 27, 2014 by JellyMan
Void
Talonflame does a number on this team (CB smashes everything, SD beak roost set straight up 6-0s this), so go with a tyranitar over maybe umbreon: Tyranitar @ Leftovers Trait: Sand Stream EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd) - Stealth Rock - Crunch / Pursuit - Ice Beam - Stone Edge / Rock Slide Gives you a rock setter which you currently lack (like how are you going to bait defogs for bisharp with no hazards lol) Brick Break isn't a good move on Bisharp (it isn't a good move in general), whatever it hits for super effective isn't going to be doing much more than your neutral STAB cause low base power. You got to be running knock off on bisharp to abuse this gen's knock off buff, smacking stuff with nearly 100 base power + STAB. If you want a fighting move you could try low kick (because pretty much everything you'd want to hit with this is a heavy mon) over swords dance but it really isn't necessary. EDIT: I just noticed you run 252 hp on bisharp, go for 252 speed instead. bisharp is frail af and not going to be tanking any hits anyway, and if you don't invest in speed you'll get outsped by pretty much anything that runs speed lol. Chevaleresse
I would suggest a sash on Bishy too over the Black Belt. Surviving to get another hit off is way better than a tiny damage boost.
Shanco
Essentially what Sarcus said. You could also look into getting Mandibuzz for your team somewhere. The 'buzz is a pain in the ass being one of the best stallers out there, and it would help alleviate a small weakness on your team to Ground. Just a thought. Binix
I don't agree with your Weavile set, you should carry Ice Punch and replace Night Slash with Knock Off. Then again that's just my opinion.
Chevaleresse
Shadow claw is redundant with Dark STAB. Drop it for Swords Dance imo. Agree with replacing Night Slash with Knock Off; it allows Weavile to cripple pokemon reliant on their items and averages out to a similar amount of damage, with a better chance of a OHKO.
