Vincent watched as the Taillow flew off. Well, that's one less I guess. He turned to the Jolteon -wasn't his name Sparks?- and said: "I don't mean to butt in, but we should stock up on some Oran and Pecha Berries. If there are some items that are invaluable while going through a dungeon, it should be those. At least that's what I think."

"Yeah, stock up on what we will need, before going into Mt. Horn again." He claimed, glancing back at Vincent as he continued to follow behind Draidon, while Ace had taken a quick lead, "That little one has been awfully quiet." He remarked as he was talking about Roy.

"Alright Jory... This is the fourth room... I think we're getting close... Or maybe not."

He looked around and saw 3 enemies, and the stairs.

There was an exegguttor, a ralts, and an alakazam!

"Jory! How are we gonna defeat all these things? We need a plan!"

"Otto! Wait for us! It could be dangerous!" Artemis shouted as Otto ran into the crowd. She flew over the crowds to see if she could get a better view of the situation. As far as she could tell, the Machamp didn't seem to be in a good mood to negotiate with the Kecleon brothers and is ready to pummel them over. With that, she landed next to her teammates again.

"Look, I don't mind breaking up the fight, but it's dangerous. That Machamp looks tough... Maybe would could try and break it up before we take any moves?"

Jory examined the room, giving it a few looks over before deciding on a strategy. "Alright, listen up. That Alakazam is the most dangerous foe over there. Provided we take that out first and then immediately move to Exeggutor, we shouldn't run into any problems. If that Ralts tries anything stupid, I'll be over there to feed it a Tail Slap in a heartbeat. Lead with Night Slash. Ready?"

Not again, Pulse groaned, audibly. Not only from the force of the attack, but from her tiredness at having to deal with physically-inclined Pokemon. Nimbly, she leapt for the spikes, dodging another slam. Glaring angrily at the Beldum, it moved to get in range. With that she threw the Spikes at the Beldum's eye, causing it to flinch and whir in pain as she retreated back to the safety of the little group. "This," she started, "is what makes travelling in a group convenient, I suppose." The steel-psychic Pokemon, now bent on taking down the intruders, trained its angry red eye on the team and charged.

Scorpio was getting tired of all these attacks. He waited for a moment to see if the Chimchar would move, since it could have super effective attacks, but it was completely useless. He shook his head and started digging himself in a little bit. He had discovered a pretty good tactic when it came to Beldum’s: jump on them and start biting.

Now all he had to do was wait for the right moment while the Beldum charged at them.

FWOOOOOOOOMMM!

Right as Pulse was about to fire a psychic wave again, flames burst forth from the Chimchar next to them, hitting the charging Beldum squarely. With its steel body superheated, the Beldum flew around in a panic, extremely uncomfortable what with the burned condition it had received. As though gathering her energy, the fire-type concentrated for a while, waiting for the Beldum to fly into range. Then... BAM! With a powerful punch she sent the Beldum flying into a wall, putting it out of commission.

Pulse stared at the quiet Pokemon for a while. Looks like she could be helpful, after all, she thought.

((Let's get this party started again.))

Roy had been shuffling along, suffering from a very rare case of not so upbeat, when a scent caught his nose...

It... It was Gorgeous, it was so fantastic that Roy was leaving puddles of drool in his wake as he raced to the source of the wondrous odour, which caused a pokemon to slip and yell, and came to a stop at the stand with the two Kecleons. Impatient as ever, Roy skipped the introductions and cut to it.

"What on Arceus green world is that fantastic, BEAUTIFUL smell?!!?"

Jory immediately jumped in, landing a Tail Slap that hit a resounding four times, one of which was a critical hit! The Alakazam wobbled on its legs and tipped over, clearly incapacitated from the surprise attack. "Now, let's get the tree!" Jory shouted, jumping toward the Exeggutor with a Tail Slap ready to land.

Jory's Tail Slap connected a resounding four times with one critical hit. The Exeggutor wobbled unsteadily but stayed up. A greenish energy tether connected it to Jake. "Watch out! It's using Mega Drain!" Jory said frantically, launching another Tail Slap against his foe, this one landing three times.

the small ball hit Jake and he felt a terrifying pain as his energy was sucked right out of him.

"Ughh... GAHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

He fell back and barely held on by the meer sheerness of will, stepping back up slowly, with a horrific limp, and a fairly slow walk.

"You... Will pay for that!..."

He gave his full remainder of his might in a shaky dash that was painful to watch, and hit as hard as he could with a blazing night slash, the exegguttor stumbled and fell over.

"Now.. For.. The ralts... And we.. Can move on..."

Jory nodded. "Aye, sir!" he shouted, jumping at the terrified Ralts and unleashing a Tail Slap that hit it four times with two critical hits. The Ralts gave a cry and fell over, unable to battle anymore. The Minccino stopped, breathing heavily, and looked over to Jake. "You okay, bud?"

"Forget... It... Let's just get to the next floor..."

After he stumbled toward the stairs for a couple seconds, he climbed them slowly... When he hit the top step, he was warped off to the next room.

"Jory... Look...!"

He saw a seed that had a strange glow to it, as if it had a strong power inside of it.

"What do you think it is?..."

He also looked across to the other side of the room, and saw a very strange looking pokemon, it looked like none of the others whatsoever.

"Is that a... Servine? You think it's friendly Jory?"

Already, Otto and Artemis were at the scene of the escalating intensity. From the sky fell a merchant table, to which Mac looked at the Machamp. Intervention was key. He placed his hand in his treasure bag, holding the Warp Orb. If violence would result, he could use the Orb on the Machamp, sending it away elsewhere.

Mac addressed the two: "Yo, if we can talk Machamp out of this, then that's well & good. If not, I've got a trump card."

Jory shrugged, a bit confused by the presence of the Servine after he followed Jake up to the next floor. He looked at his partner with concern. "Are you sure you don't want an Oran Berry? You look like you're about to collapse."

"Forget it... Save it for when you need it, I'll be ok. Let's go talk to that Servine, then we'll know if it's friendly or not."

He stalked around with a great deal of tension, and grabbed the seed he found, shocked at it when he realized what it was.

"Jory, this is a rare reviver seed! This will be helpful. Now let's sneak up on that Servine quietly..."

The Tempest Team

"Ah," one of the brothers chimed as Roy appeared, cheerful to see a customer. "I see you've taken a notice of the smell of these fresh Donuts." on the Counter before the lizard Pokemon lay a wooden platter piled high with the fresh, steaming pastries. The Smell was exquisite... and so would the price be. Or would it?

"Though..." The other brother's face saddened a little as he spoke. "I'm afraid that these aren't ours to sell. We're just watching them for a few moments as a favor... so, sorry if you looking to purchase one, my friend."

sorry if you looking to purchase one, my friend.

His hopes...

His dreams...

Dashed away by the cruel hand fate had dealt Roy.

"WHYYYYYYYYYY?!!!?" Roy bawled, Sorrow lining every part of his cry

"WHY CURSE ME TO SUCH A TANTALISING, TEASING EXISTENCE? O FATE, THY CRUEL NATURE HAST STRUCK AGAIN!!!"

The horrid weight of the truth sank Roy to his knees, hiss shoulders shaking with such a burden...

But he knew, that he should, nay, MUST go on, and find some Donuts of his own, so that he may love and cherish them so that one day his children would not have to suffer such a fate themselves...

With rwsolve in is heart, and determination in his eyes, Roy strode off.

"I shall find some Donuts to call my own! I hope you all will lead happy lives, this quest may take years, decades even to accomplish, but I will SUCCEED!"

"what the hell are you spouting about now?" Draidon asked, having watched Roy's over dramatics. He called after the Timburr as the fool marched away from the Stand, proclaiming himself to be on some sort of donuts quest or something.

"Why don't you just wait, Fool? The person who these belong to will probably be back soon! You could just ask them for some..." He grumbled as the imbecille moved out of earshot. Yeah... this kinda confirmed it; the kid was indeed stupid, it was no act. well, no point in joining him in stupidity. Draidon turned his attention the merchant brothers.

"Ah, Draidon!" one of them called. "Good to see you. What will it be today?"

"Just some basics..." He said. "Oran berries, Reviver Seeds, a few orbs... maybe even some scarves if you have any at a reasonable price..."

"Very well then..." the other interjected. "and you do have money today, don't you?" Draidon was a bit taken a back by that... he had come into town yesterday and stopped by the stand. Thought he would stock up before heading to signup at Tempest... except when he was done and they were ringing up the toll, he had just then recalled the fact that he was flat broke. But not today... that little raid on that cave earlier had yeilded some poke to use and...

"You gotta be kidding me..." he growled as he searched himself. The cash he had gotten from the cave that morning was all gone. He didn't have any idea what the hell could've happened to the pouch... oh. Wait...that's right. Raichu. It must've fallen off during their little skirmish... it was probably still out in the forest.

"Hey..." he began, turning to Sparks and Ace. "either of you got cash to pay?" behind him, both Kecleon brothers were snickering and whispering to each other, as if they had some inside joke... though Draidon seem to ignore it.

"Yeah, hold up." It looked like Ace was preening for a moment, but he was actually just looking for a pouch he had secured under one wing. "Here we go." He carefully held it using his beak and set it down on the ground in front of him. "How much was it. . . wait a minute, what are you two sniggering about?"

"Oh! Oh nothing..." one of the siblings insisted, still chuckling.

"Oh yes!" the other added. "Nothing at all!"

"Cut the BS," Draidon ordered, no longer ignoring what he heard. "Something's obviously so damn funny that you two are cracking up about it. So spill it!"

"Fine!" one of them exclaimed, still hysterical. "You blokes don't even have to pay today!"

Driadon simply raised his eyebrow at that... surely it must be some type of trap, who the hell operates a business by giving out free merchandise? He turned to Ace and Sparks.

"Maybe I hit my head a little hard earlier..." he began. "But I could've sworn I just heard him say we don't have to pay..."

Sparks glanced at the Kecleon brothers, analyzing what they had said, "Don't have to pay? Sounds a little fishy to me." He answered, gazing at Draidon and Ace, "Never trust a Kecleon is what i say, but that's just what i think." He remarked, "But I'd want to hear more about this whole giving away supplies for free, before any sort of transaction occurs." He added.
